2 versiones of mk808b? - Android Stick & Console RockChip based Computers

hello, I am ready to buy a android tv but now I don't know which to buy, there are 2 versions of mk808b, one is dualcore with a rockchip rk3066 cortex a9 1.6 ghz and the other is amlogic s805 cortex a5 quadcore 1.5 ghz, I know that more cores is not always better performance, please can you say me which is better and why? thanks in advance

Samsung galaxy A7 CPU and GPU

I want to get the galaxy A7, but it come in two editions
1) CPU: Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615
GPU: Adreno 405
2) CPU: Exynos 5 Octa 5430
GPU: Mali-T628 MP6
The first is octa core at 1,5 Ghz and 1 Ghz.
The second is also octa core at 1,8 Ghz and 1,3 Ghz .
I want it for gaming so isn't the second better ???

I have the Snapdragon version and its laggy. From time to time i get stutter switching app to app and navigating through the interface . GPU too is not superb, Clash of Clans plays smooth at the beginning but after a couple of minutes the frame rate stutter. I did a full reset but the same result hopefully will be fix on future updates. I have a zenfone and that performs better than my A7 (snapdragon version) in terms of gaming. Considering the price of A7 im a liitle bit dissapointed by its performance, battery life is good though i can get to 20 hours using light to moderate usage.
I guess you have to get the Exynos version in my own opinion.

2 is better for gaming
SD 615 is 64 bit CPU and works fine when updated to Lollipop. I have seen no lags while gaming.

Only quadcore cpu?

What is this, i read everywhere that the Tegra X1 i an octa core with 4x a57 and 4x a53 cpus, yet i received the console today and all apps report it as being octacore, only seeing/using the a57 cores and not the a53 cores. to all of it it seems like nviidia has changed their page so that it reflects the shield tv to be quadcore???
http://shield.nvidia.com/android-tv/shield-androidtv-vs-appletv-vs-roku-vs-firetv
are other people seeing this as well (for instance if you check with aida64 or with 3dmark), perhaps firmware blocked with new firmwares or is the hardware in the newer consoles actually inferior to the older ones?
I've only ever seen the Shield advertised as quad core even if the SoC is 8 core

New Headunit Erisin ES9015

Hello,
I bought this HU,
http://www.erisinwholesale.com/spec...es9015v-8-vw-android-444-car-dvd-gps-413.html
Now is my question does anyone now it and it´s special Rockchip?
Im pretty not sure what it is, maybe tomrrow I can make some Screenshots.
CPU-Z tells it is an RK3066 with 1,4GHz.
It´s Tuner come with an working AF function.
I think it is the cheaper Rockchip 3066 T variant, the normal dual core and quad core works between 1.6 and 1.8 GHZ, the cheaper dual and quad core T cpu only runs on 1.4 GHZ.
If i look on the specifications i see strange things, they advertise a dual core bud showing a quad core cpu.
Very confusing
I searched on wikpedia an I thought it could be this one.
The RK3188T is a lower-clocked version of the RK3188, with the CPU cores running at a maximum speed of 1.4 GHz instead of 1.6 GHz. The Mali-400MP4 GPU is also clocked at a lower speed. As of early 2014, many devices advertised as using a RK3188 with a maximum clock speed of 1.6 GHz actually have a RK3188T with clock speed limited to 1.4 GHz. Operating system ROMs specifically made for the RK3188 may not work correctly with a RK3188T.[39]
Maybe someone nows if it is upgradebale with the RK3188 SOM Card.

Selection

Hi,
I decide between two HU:
One with CPU: Rockchip Cortex A9 Quad Core, 1.6GHZ
And other with Allwiner R16 A7 Quad Core CPU 1.6GHz
It's worth paying extra 50 US for different CPU (Rockchip )?
Thanks for your help

Choosing SoC MTK 8127A vs PX 5 RK

Hello want to change my aunt and I am in big trouble
My choices are an Android device based on MTK 8127A from ATOTO but that come with 2 GB of RAM or a regular one based on PX 5 which come with 4 GB of RAM.
I understand that the MTK car goes devices are a little bit rare
So what to choose:
ATOTO with a MTK PROCESSOR and 2 GB of RAM, pretty good support and rom updates or a PX 5 ?
Which is faster and more stable?
Thank you

From what i have heard, MediaTek has better reputation than Rockchip. Which one is more stable / faster depends on how the SoC is integrated into the platform, how the Software Governers control the clock rate of the SoC. So this is difficult to answer strictly based on the SoC chip itself.
SoC Chip: MTK 8127A
Soc-based Quad-core 1.5Ghz Cortex A7 CPU
GPU ARM Mali-450 MP4 .
System Version: ATOTO AICE OS 9.4, which is developed & customized based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS;

but there are also :
PX6 ! devices (but it's news no more info a this moment) :
Android 8,1
CPUX6 RK3399
2 Core cortex A72 2ghz
4 Core Cortex A53 1.5ghz
RAM: SAMSUNG DDR3 4 GB

And A72 Core is a lot better than A53, and A53 is a little bit better than the very old Cortex A7
I agree with @mum1989 that A72 and A53 CPU cores have much better specifications than the A7. If the applications you run on the head unit can take advantage of the ARMv8 instruction set or if the workload can be distributed across the cores, then PX6/PX6 SoC may well perform better than MTK8127A. On the other hand, in my day-to-day use of ATOTO A6 Pro which uses MTK8127A, I have never observed it to be slow or stutter or otherwise show signs that older A72 Core was limiting the end-user experience.
