About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first created based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean because of curiosity. In the early days, it was just a one man show on one device (EVO 3D). However, many others have joined the project since and it has grown a lot. We have seen a wide variety of talent contribute to this project of ours and many of our contributors have gone on to help other projects, and that is ultimately why we do what we do.
Once Jelly Bean was over, we decided in Kitkat to move to a new base, which was OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting because it challenged us to see what we could with something different.
With Lollipop, we have moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. With that said, it has been an awesome learning experience and it's still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward.
Few more things we will say is that we don't accept nor ask for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc.....
All we do ask is that you search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

Since 23/9 build this rom supports LVM system.
What is LVM - is just a system that unifies both device partitions, making you full internal sd card available for apps. As you all know, normal Find5 has only 2GB for apps.
With LVM this is over, if you have a 16GB device, then you'll end up with at least 12GB for apps, a 32GB device will grant you at least 26 gb.
This system is brought up by a dev who i don't know the exact name but you can call him "feelingfree-me", he is responsible of tweaking part of the device tree to make this possible.
The second important and mandatory element of this lvm system is a special TWRP recovery version that allows you to unify partitions: this is brought by dev @wuxianlin, in this version, in advanced option you can chose to unify your device partitions.
So how does it work:
1 - Flash the LVM aware recovery from here
2 - Reboot to recovery (be aware that merging partitions will format your data so make a backup of your stuff on a pc)
3- Full wipe as you will normally do when flashing a new rom
4. Flash the last DU builds from 23/9 or later + gapps
5. In Recovery advanced option, selected unify partition and swipe to make it work
6. Reboot & Enjoy your full partition!!
PS: Thanks @piyush7243 and @boertjeg for your help!

Can't capture a log, i get this error:
"Unable to open log device 'main'"
I reverted to last week build, and hangouts works again, but if I try to move/remove apps I get an instant reboot.

I will try back home, clean flash + most recent open gapps and report.
For log retrieving, best app for me is syslog from Playstore.

Hello Guys,
New build is up with fixes for Hangout crashes.
Also, i tweaked a bit the device init in order to avoid the sim unlock issues, only stuff when you clean flash, is wait for pin request before setting up your device.

Did also a clean install today, everything works perfect so far.
I may stay again on this build for a few weeks like on one of the pervious build, its that good

I noticed 2 bugs in this build:
- The "keep screen on" flag (on apps) doesn't work, so if I'm watching a video or playing a game, screen will go off.
- When watching videos it only works the first time, after that, I will get sound but black image. It only works again when the phone is restarted.
Best regards

Screen lags a lot in the last build (specially on the lockscreen).
There's no logcat ("Unable to open log device 'main'").

I can't confirm lags on lockscreen or somewhere else. Will report if this appears on my device. I'm on the latest build and using nova launcher. Slim zero gapps. (flashed yesterday)

Tried again, the screen lag doesn't happen anymore.

Well I've noticed a couple of things. In TWRP it won't install unless you disable Zip Verification. Once installed the boot animation is small and doesn't cover the entire screen. Love the themes however and hope this continues.

Good job @OP! ?
Great one another rom. Can anyone please confirm if the call bug BSOD is there
Initial testing -
- No screenshot tile instead of that screen record present..
- Navigation Button enable option missing for enable that.
- sweetener pack for candy ROM not working tried in twrp it reboot the device into system after flashing zip.
- recent app clear all location option only 2.. Need more
- hardware keys disabled option missing after enable navigation button ( don't know it's there in official candy 5 rom but it's great if it's there )*

+1 status 7 error
Initial feeling and review
Good work bro! Thanks to @OP
Installation hurdles:
1. Please mention it in OP that it requires extended system. It won't install on stock partition. Will give error status 7 ?.
2. Flashes fine with CWM.
3. Candy sweetner download link is down so couldn't try that out!
4. No need to flash super su zip. The ROM is prerooted.
Initial booting:
1. Takes a lot of time for first boot ( although good things always come after some patience! )
2. Telephone gets activated after a few seconds.
3. No custom Boot animation .
Review:
1. ROM is based on stuxnet kernel.
2. Has CM 12 theme engine which is just great.
3. Its totally purely awesomely customisable. Tons of options to customize it. Just click Candy Interface.
4. Battery looks fine.
5. Camera has HDR bug but 4K ? recording works which is why i am in love with lollipop .
6. Stock Cm 12 Music app is present.
7. OMNI Switch is present which is just an added candy .
8. Audio equaliser is present and configurable directly from the app drawer.
9. Weather shows up automatically in notification shade which is quite awesome ( courtesy to yahoo weather).
10.FM radio is present which was missing in some other ROMS although no offense to any DEV, You guys are just awesome.
11. Ram Management is just excellent. No words for it
I am loving anything and everything about the rom ? .
Anything else you want, You just gotta ask for!
No file manager or document app.
Please add in next update:fingers-crossed:
wonderful @op thanks alot will surely try this build....does the sweatner pack works with the ROM
Downloaded
Downloaded, now try this build and give my feedback,
Thanks :good:

so it looks like we have two SLIM LP builds now Are there any differences between your builds?

Mine is using my common repo so it will support the new ramdisk format for the flashable version of deathly. Mine also has less thermal throttling which will be raised in the next build.
So either this SLIM or liquid smooth shall be my first custom ROMs on the tab S Just that the last LS (from the 20th) has obviously Wi-Fi problems... . Will probably go then for SLIM tonight... .

I do not have time to keep an updated thread.
I've sent the local manifest to @deadman96385 so the rom is the same, you can flash on my build without wipe data.
If you want dark can use Layers Manager and TRDS
Thanks to you both guys!
When it's done, I`ll report here.

If someone brings it up i will but not right now
For some reason I'm unable to edit the line to change the minimum GPU frequency. I've tried several Root Explorer type apps and they all give me the same error even though they have been granted SU permission and root in on in Developer Settings..
"Root Explorer was unable to read this file. Please check that your device is rooted correctly and that access has been granted at the SU prompt."
Edit: I had to download the CM File Manager App to get it changed. It still says "Operation Failed" when trying to save it but it still works.

Team EOS Downloads:
BasketBuild
AndroidFileHost
(Builds are not generated if there are no changes to source, saving you from useless updates)
Because this is an AOSP based ROM, Google Apps are not included. Flash the gapps of your choosing after you flash the ROM. If you need help finding a gapps package, ask any of us and we'll be happy to help
These builds are designed to be installed from your favorite recovery. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST 5.1.X COMPATIBLE RECOVERY.
Detailed instructions:
Going to EOS 5.1.X from another ROM:
Boot to recovery
BACKUP YOUR CURRENT SETUP!!!
Make a full wipe (Dalvik, Dalvik Cache, System, Data)
Flash the ROM
Flash optional kernel if you choose to not use provided kernel **We DO NOT support outside kernels**
Flash gapps
Reboot
Updating from an older EOS build to new EOS build:
You can usually skip the full wipe step and just wipe both caches. If ever you encounter an issue make sure you make a full wipe first before reporting it. This is what most call "Dirty Flashing". Normally this doesn't cause problems, but keep in mind a clean flash is always the best way to go.

Thanks for your superb work bro
About compass: On Rooque's OmniROM the compass is working exactly as it should (checked it with Google maps). May be you can have a look at his sources, that may help.
Cheers
Mobile data won't work at all, is it?
I will try this rom
Very nice ROM, full of features!! Congrats to the team.
Installed it last night, very smooth and snappy with the default kernel. No issues with phone calls, no SODs so far in 12 hours. Spent most of the night charging, plenty of deep sleep.
Could you just confirm which option to choose in Buttons/etc to call up the list of recent apps? I can see Last App in the list, but not Recents.

This is answered in the unofficial thread for this ROM.

You need to be on 3.5.5.
No bugs?
Which Gapps?
Which gapps are you guys using, I tried ARM64, 7.1, (full, nano, aroma)
They all give the same issue on a fresh install
During the phone setup, says "Google play services has stopped"
It's just stuck on the "Just a second" screen
Am I using the wrong gapps? The rom loaded fine with a did a fresh install with no gapps.
Thanks.

Then why Facebook messenger calls dont work? They work fine on Tesla rom which is AOSP...
Edit: and when are we going to get nav buttons?
I think theres some stuff gant wait till next week like navbar ..i think its better to keep updating at least every few days till you fix the main bugs like navbar and QS settings

While I do understand your frustration with Facebook calls, telling us that it works on another ROM isn't gonna help us fix the issue. A proper logcat is needed. Unless you can get that then your post is deemed unnecessary and irrelevant to development. Were based on AOSP, just like my team member @TacoTuco stated. The basis of an app crash such as Facebook, differing between ROMs does not determine the status of its project. As for navbar customizations, if you take a look at our G+ community, linked in the OP, you'll noticed we addressed that its coming in the next update.
Btw, don't divide projects by base. Cyanogen did not write Android themselves. They're AOSP based just like the rest of us. The only difference is they generate support for CAF to make Android work on devices like yours.
