Seems as though the missing taps are a thing of the past. Seems way more responsive...anyone else notice the update or difference?
no, not really .. still make the same mistakes what i did before.. because i type 2 fast.
I posted about it a few days ago. Didn't fix anything.
No improvements.

Odd that it didn't work for the others. Worked great for mine. I guess I'm just happy for that.

Huh. I have t-mobile 811 if that's makes a difference.
What is the version number off the new keyboard?
Where does the update come from? I checked the update options in the about section of settings. LG smart world and the play store. I could use a keyboard update.

Nope....T-Mobile H811 here as well. For me, it's been great. I did the update, rebooted, all set and good. Sucks if it's not helping some people tho...

I know that I had previously had someone say that when they looked up the app in their phone, the update was there. I'm not sure where this is/was, as I have the T-Mobile H811 and it was top of the list when I went in to app updates section...

Alas, that would be a no. There's a slight lag when scrolling. I hadn't noticed it before, so I do not know if it is an improvement or not. Admittedly, I don't use all that many emojis LOL

its been like this since the new keyboard got introduced with the G3 and i never read something about that in any forum, review etc. but its the thing that keeps me from using the keyboard....
too bad they didnt change that.
i gets slightly better if u change the LG icons for the iOS icons but the problem still exists.
The update does seem to help a bit but not at all a fix. Using fleksy keyboard here is a bit frustrating when swipes register as taps
im on the xperia keyboard ever since and it works absolutely flawless
IF u can go without the number row on top

Hi all,
UPDATE: NEW VERSION
I am proud to present you the new Feats-It v5(.0) There has been a lot of changes that have happened since the last release, and I am proud to say that all of them brought improvements. Indeed, the improvements are so large and my fellow testers so satisfied, I would call this the most major version of these features yet. Also, there is a new member, jtdo to my team and he was the first to test a working version of these features for the 7500. This, unfortunately has a con too. For now (but that will change soon!) we will be shipping a Wifi-Only version of Feats-It v4. Anyway, have a look on what the most major release of Feats-It contains:
Beats Audio
Wallpapers from Ubuntu and ASUS
Samsung Live wallpapers and the phase beam wallpaper for those ROMs not including it.
Build.prop tweaks for performance, battery life, smooth scrolling and cache edits.
New Widgets
Apollo, CyanoGen Mod Music App
The SJLover font - Really awesome!
New Keyboard [Beta]
DOWNLOAD NOTE: It may seem like v3, but it is v5. I just can't wait to give this to you and renaming would take much of upload time and cause too much chaos!
Download the WIFI-Only Version
Note that we are working hard on getting a 3G version
Please Enjoy!
I'm enjoying it. Works perfect. Thnks!

Is this an add-on for ICS Roms or does it work on honeycomb roms too (like Overcome)?
Thanks!

Or is it only for a specific ROM like cyanogen or AOKP?
Looks pretty nice but what Tweaks are you talking about? A little bit more details would be welcome!

Yup. Won't flash it then due to lack of info and couldn't care less about some (live) wallpapers and the overrated Beats audio cr*p.
Things like "And much more!" are also very unnecessary without explaining them. Has no meaning whatsoever this way.

A list of the extra widgets and what the build.prop changes are, or do you want me to list the changes to the build.prop for you ?
Are you happy now (not that I would care these kind of people would be happy , wonder whether they even have a different life than useless comments) ?Lol. If it is such a problem for you, I will list everything. And yes, if you are so careless, you can do it yourself too And if you don't want to flash it because you don't care, then why are you even posting here?

It's been common practice on XDA, certainly for all the years I've been a member, to provide a detailed changelog so people know exactly what they are flashing and what changes are being made to their system.
Okay, did it now, but I don't get the other guy saying he would not flash it just because of that,
I have just flashed it ... sound improvements are visible ... other stuff is not important ...
Do you also have a ICS mod to activate the cameras ? ... (joking .. I know the drivers are not available)

Don't feel like backing up and restoring after finding out for example that the improvements were bogus/doing nothing. B37 runs just fine as it is, that's all.
The current changelog is better though, thx. Still not as detailed as I would like, but that might be personal.
It's just the way of responding to a quite reasonable question that bothers me. Last words in this thread also, before things get out of hand.
Good luck with your magical settings!
Is the V.3 or V.4? The download link says V.3 instead of V.4.
No worries, it is v4. Notice the little dash behind the four? It is kind of like MS office. The current version is Codenamed Office 2010, but the version is Office 14. No worries
Bump. Version 5.0 is out after some waiting! It is untested, but taken part by part it worked fine, so I see no reason for it not to together.
Flashed it.

351mb UK based
edit:
JB OS Update, tablet rebooting. Stock untouched and unrooted.
Edit 2:
Seems good enough, smoother but not as smooth as the nexus 7 as expected. Oddly terms and conditions acceptance comes up in spanish even though its a UK language model!
GF not complaining so cant be that much different! Although had to go back in and add back all the icons and such, which is a pain Like being able to delete home screens which I cant on my nexus 7..

That's the hardware resolution, software cannot change that. So, yes its the same and always will be.
yeah for you US folk Thought it was new to us over here, well second to the French version. Thought the tab 2 was quite popular here, maybe not!
I've received the update OTA in the UK, pretty happy so far, and I don't mind the Phablet UI.
What is a bit weird is the status bar at the top of the screen with the clock etc is tiny! It looks out of proportion with the rest of the OS...

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I am having a hard time finding anything about it (which I am confused by as well!)
I just upgraded from a samsung captivate (original ) and one of the features I liked about that phone was that in the dialer I could start typing in the first few numbers of someones number or the first few letters of someone's name and their number would auto fill in and I could just click it and call.
I know it is probably not nexus 4 specific, but 4.+ in general, but is there any way to get this feature back? Am I just missing something obvious, why in the world would they get rid of this?
T9 dialer?

My guess is that, that specific feature is called T9-dialer and I'm missing that too. I level'd up from ZTE Blade running CM10 to my brand spankin new N4 yesterday and yes, I want that feature back... Or... what the heck, Im going to root, unlock and flah CM 10.1 within the next 22h anyways )))
The T9 dialer is not included in AOSP. It's honestly the main reason I rooted. There is a T9 dialer apk floating around, but it only works on deodexed ROMs. Most ROMs inthe dev section have T9.
Edit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1757280
Remember, deodexed only.

Ah thanks, seems strange google would leave out what seems like such an obvious feature.
I am using exDialer now and it works perfectly so far, so if anyone else is interested (and doesn't want to run a custom rom) I highly recommend it.

ex-Dialer is the best replacement. With an ICS theme, it even looks like the stock dialer.

Ehh. I bought it mainly because I like the stock experience. I've played around with a lot of roms and I'm a little tired of having little issues here and there. Right now the phone runs blazingly fast, and apart from not having the t-9 dialer installed (which it now does and works great) I have no current issues, nor any desire to play around.
Heres the T9 dialer mod. Make sure you're on a deodexed ROM before flashing it.
T9 Dialer MOD for nexus 4
It is there to some extent, you just have to hit search on the dialer screen.
Seems a pointless step to me like.

This was posted on the nexus 4 themes and apps forum and is proven to be compatible with 4.2 without issues.
Maybe the dialer in your link works fine as well but since it was from an old post on the gnex forums, I thought I'd add this just in case there were any compatibility issues.
Perhaps its the exact same mod though, I have no idea if there's any real difference.

try Tilt Scroll is not the same but is good :good:
I don't understand how it worked for you! I have tried to see how that thing works (I know how it should) in broad daylight under direct sunlight, but I could never make it work! Not only that, Smart Pause, Smart Stay, none of them worked! I was sure that something is wrong with my eyes, maybe people need to have some different kind of eyes, but then I asked at least a dozen of my friend to try to make it work, they all failed, I sighed knowing I have human eyes. Since then I hated any Smart features, and I am so happy that Lollipop doesn't have most of them.

Yeah exactly. OOS is near stock. Moto g3 is running MM but we're still waiting :/ and should probably wait till the last day of the Q1. Or probably they'll miss even that date and come up with an apology letter like they always do :/

I am pretty sure drivers are written usually by the hardware makers, so that'd be Qualcomm for the SoC or whoever made the fingerprint sensor, camera, other sensors etc. Skins - I ain't seen much skinning by OPO except for changing the dark mode and colour of stuff when in dark mode. Security - this is why they need to release latest android, because google is fixing 100's of issues.
Anyway I am shocked that even the slow manufacturers like LG have upped their game and have 6.0 and Samsung has leaked theirs too. I usually wouldn't care but custom ROMs not that attractive without Fingerprint sensor and Laser AF.
