Is there any thread for XZ2 Miui 6 on mi forums or could you share some screenshots.
Thank you.

There is a new root method for lollipop roms. You can find it in here in the general section. And yes you have to put the rom file in the SD card. I suggest you to read everything about root, bootloader unlocking, TA backup, and recovery and only start it.

Hi
Here are flasable zip files wich installs latest ROM 23.1.A.0.726 which is LolliPop and region this time is customized TW, latest stable SuperSu v2.46 and latest fully working Dualrecovery 2.8.10 (2.8.14 in SGP511 .zip) for Tablet Z2 with read and write acces to system.
Make nandroid backup before flashing.
Install it by flashing whole zip file via custom recovery. TWRP recommend.
Factory reset is recommend if you came from KK. If you already have LP installed this is small update to 23.1.A.0.690 so you be just fine by dirty flashing but dalvik and cache wipes are recommend.

Thanks, downloaded, flashed and tested with a dirty flash, except the writing to SD Card problem which was easily fixed by running the SDFIX app, everything works nicely.
Is Lollipop supposed to give back the write to SD card which was taken away in KK?

You are welcome. About your question. LP sort of fixed the thing with external sd cards by giving developers away to add their apps installation file new permission to have read, write and delete access to chosen directory also other than apps own directory. So LP fix this but developers have to update their apps to use this new method.

Thanks again kulvertti for doing this for us! Can anyone comment on the bugs/glitches with this rom? Sounds like lots of stuff was wrong with 690. I tried the cm12 lollipop and that had problems with having too. So far, cannot see a reason to upgrade to lollipop from rooted 4.4.4.
Thanks.
So do I update using the 2nd method in your other thread? : http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2-tablet/general/lollypop-t3057435 since im coming from your original Lollipop rom with no Recovery?

Hi,
My Z3C is on Android 5.0.2 now (23.1.A.1.28) with locked bootloader, root (superSU) and dualrecovery. Can i just flash this zip in the recovery mode and get rooted 23.4.A.0.580? Will i lose my personal data?
I'd also like to know if there are any locks or apps because of the Vodafone brand.
Sorry if my questions are silly, i am a newbie, just want to update my phone without breaking anything.
Thanks!

I am running 5.0.2.
I tried in the past to flash, through recovery, the last firmware that was released before this. I downloaded a zip from one of the threads, and installed it through recovery, but after rebooting, I was still on 5.0.2.
If I download this and flash it in recovery, should it update my phone to this firmware. Or would it be better to flash through the flashtool? (to not delete the data, not to check the data in the wipe window?)
Thanks

Yes you can flash miui over 5.0.1 but i highly recommend that you make a efs backup before flashing, because downgrading to kitkat may erase your efs.

Try updating your custom recovery,
Binary is related to the zip file and recovery, so the problem is on one of them.

There is a good chance that autoroot for 5.1.1 will works for 6.0.1
It happens with autoroot for 910H.
Or, you can just flash twrp using odin, flash bootloader using odin, and this rom using twrp.
