Well I was disappointed Sunday by the available surround capturing mode in my Edge when I found out today in the camera settings that you can actually download many additional modes, included the previous surround mode I was used to set in my S4 LTE+!
I think that many of us didn't know it either or?

Lol I can see you!
My 2 years old son seems to have a built-in 'avoid focus' system and Sport mode is the only one that gives satisfactory results.

I doubt if that's possible. Also, I remember watching some video where you could change the focus of the objects after the pictures has been taken? Does anyone here has it?

In the forum over at hardwarezone.com.sg they have shown a couple of screens but also talk of problems in how to carry out a screen grab.
I thought Touchwiz could do this using the hardware buttons.
I have a note (got it from somewhere) that says:-
"While using the device, you can capture an image of a screen. While pressing and holding Back, press the Home key. The image will be saved in Gallery."
Thoughts please.
what i would like to know also is the screenshots i seen of the galaxy s and other youtube videos saying it has touchwiz 3.0
but looking at this samsung video the touchwiz 3.0 is different. or maybe it has to do with the wave ...

That's running the Bada OS which is found on the Wave
it's faster than Android and I would have bought the Wave if the 3g bands worked in the Americas but it doesn't offer support for 1900mhz yet, and the number of applications do not match that of Android (I need applications that are not found on Bada yet, can't assume they will also), aaaand since we can't put shortcuts to applications on the homepage :'( like on Android.
Touchwiz is the UI on it and on Android too, it is a bit different for the Wave since it's running Samsung's new OS, Bada OS. I prefer the TouchWiz 3 on the Android since we can use hardware buttons to go back or to open the menu instead of them being on the screen which take up space.
But they are very very similar since it's the nearly the same UI.

I would not be worried about "cracking sound", you got a much bigger problem than that: your video clearly shows your phone got stolen right from under your nose, or has invisibleShield applied to it.

Man, go to developers section and find " hacked camera app " thread and install it lu need root ) ! Or go to samsung apps and see if there is a firmware update for the camera. Hope it helps ))

Wondering if the mods will create a forum or subforum for the Note Edge. My concern is primarily related to android dev if there are difference, and I assume there will be some
I'm having flashbacks to the Oppo Find 7 forums where the two major difference handsets were "lumped"(that was comic relief, not a comment on the supermods on XDA. In that case until changed, every ROM thread had multiple "Does this support the new Find 7s?"
Just wondering.
I'm actually wondering if we will see custom roms for the Note Edge...? Doesn't the display and/or resolution have a big effect on the OS? I cannot imagine teams like CM, PA, AOKP, etc, making use of that "edge" screen on their roms. To me it sounds like flashing any custom rom on this device will "disable/disregard" those extra pixels... but i could be very wrong
Does anyone know if the Edge will be compatible with the Galaxy VR or only the Note 4?

Thank you man... Hope that .1 of main screen lost isn't a real issue with the VR... Maype a simple patch should fix this... hopefully Samsung will add the Edge later on.
Do any one know method of having manual camera controls like manual focus,etc like on S6 without rooting the device.
So far, almost no devices have manual camera controls save for the Nexus 6 and, apparently the Galaxy S6. Not until the Samsung developers update the camera api will we get those features.

Camera FV-5 and Manual Camera both have support for manual camera controls, but they don't work unless the device already has the Camera2 api implemented. We're out of luck until Samsung decides to throw us a bone, so to speak.
Yeah I really want to try this feature.. Hopefully they will bring something out soon

I also couldn't find a working GCam, but the best GCamGo I found was "CameraGo_2.5_Greatness_Special-2", and you should enable HDR+ for better quality. Enabling Night Mode sometimes produces exemplary quality, which I say is much better than the stock camera.
