So do hard reset, you have nothing to lose. If it doesn't work, download stock rom from sammobile and install it.

I restored the original system and it worked. thank you:good:

1st Question, I bought my G530H from a Telco Company and when you turn ON the phone it has a Telco animation boot... does this method can remove that also? because it's sucks...
2nd Question, My phone is rooted, does this method will remove it? or any files and messages? because It sounds like It would reformat my phone....
THanks in advance!

I dont know whether it would remove the boot animation or not.. But theoretically speaking.. It should.
And yeah. It will remove the root. But It wont delete anything on your device. But it is always preferred to do a factory reset before flashing a new firmware. Or you might run into some problems later.
So, If you are planning on flashing it, Be sure to backup everything before you do. Precaution is better than regret.

That's great if the boot animation will removed but if the root is removed then if I root it again, I think the auto-recovery mode could happen again. Is there other method of rooting this device?

No. There aint any other method. But some people who installed the custom recovery after rooting didnt suffer this problem. Maybe installing custom recovery can end it.

I'll try installing custom recovery... but I'll still proceed flashing new stock rom to remove the boot animation...
currently I'm backing up my new user+system apps and newer versions... I should paste it to my computer right?
can't I just restore my root just by restoring my back ups?

I'm from the Philippines and I bought it here but the baseband version is not match from my country...

Should it be the same version?
If that's the case what should I install then?

Be sure to make App backup by using titanium backup. Thats the best app for backing up apps.
I have no Idea. I had kazhkistan firmware before. And Now I have indian firmware. Even though I am not from any of these countries. It worked for me at least. So, since you have the same 530H. Theoretically It should work for you too. I dont know.:silly:

[Q] Problem with ROOT, ROM and Recovery

Hi,
I was in doubt between doing or not doing the ROOT in my Galaxy S4 4G (GT-I9505)...
But I tried to start doing it.
I asked a friend who had already made it on his device!
At first he tried to install the recovery, so I would not lose my S4.
He used the Odin as he did for himself, but it faild. So I gave up doing te ROOT and we stopped.
Ok then, but today I looked for an upgrade original from Samsung on my device. But it said:
"Your device was modified. Upgrades are not available."
What can I do now?? I need to reset it to the original form or finish the ROOT successfully.
And I can't even put my device on recovery mode! It fails.
Please, help me!
I don't know what to do and this is my first post.
Ps.: out of this problem, my device is functioning normally.
Thank you!

Do you need root, is there something you can`t do without root atm or do you want to remove useless/unneeded stuff?
Better read up about rooting, flashing, recovery`s, roms and Odin so you`ll know what the (dis)advantages, risks and benefits are before you get into trouble
Do the following for now:
1. Download CF Auto Root from here http://download.chainfire.eu/316/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505.zip and extract it once with 7-zip.
2. Download Odin 3.04 http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1168422&d=1341114468.
3.Enable usb debugging and disable Kies (also in windows task manager)
4. Place the extracted CF Root md5 file in Odin in the PDA section.
5. Put he phone in downloadmode (turn off the phone and then press volume down first and then the power button)
6. Connect to pc and and press start if you see ID;COM light up and you see a com number.
Reboot and you have root. Also install Busybox from Google Play.

By now I just need to get my normal Rom to recieve Samsung's upgrades!
What can I do to reverse it!?
I thought I did nothing, because it faild, but something happened...
And now I cant put on recovery mode!
I'm afraid to do anything!
Can I undo all of these and have my normal original rom without root?
and if I reset it, will I lose all my stuff?
It says on the "about":
"Device's Status: personalize"
It doesnt say its modified!
but when I look for upgrade it says...

Do as said in the post above first. Then install Triangle Away and use that to reset the counter, when its done go straight to downloadmode and reflash the rom you have now with Odin 3.04, after it boots do a data factory reset and you`re fully stock with everything Official.

Yes, you can go back.
The easiest way is to flash a stock ROM via Odin, search for the ROM here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2252855 and follow the instructions.
Cheers.

[Q] Note 3 N900W8 soft bricked, backup not working.. can't find a compatible firmware

I'm with Bell (Canada.) I was hesitant to root this device as it's a pretty significant investment, but I have rooted my original note with few issues, so I figured it should work as long as I follow every step carefully. Well unfortunately, upon first trying to root it, apps would start updating right at bootup, and SuperSU continuously crashed. So I decided I was just going to restore it to my original state and be done with it for now. Nope. Once I did this, the phone would just enter a boot cycle. (How does restoring my backup place me into a boot cycle?)
The only SM-N900W8 firmware downloads I can find are for south american regions... I have tried one of them and it failed to install. I am a bit panicked at the moment. Is there some crucial step I'm missing here?

If you restored through TWRP there is a good chance that you are softbricked. There are restoring issues that mess with the system partition.
Update: I was able to flash the tar file from inside the zip of mexican firmware through odin (I was trying to install the zip through TWRM before... perhaps you need to install stock firmwares through odin? It's been a while.)

You know what.. Me being a dumbass tried again to root it after restoring it to the mexican firmware, and now I have the same problem. And now the restore isn't working this time. Why did it work once and not again? Who knows? I just keep trying to factory reset and reflash the firmware, but I'm getting nothing but bootloops.
Could this be a Knox created problem? The reason I say this is you were able to restore a "new" (unknown to Knox) firmware, but it failed on the second time (as it is now no longer newer). I wonder if you were able to find a firmware with a later number (ex ...H2 rather than ...H1) it would install?

I was trying the Peru one for a while, but it kept hanging up during the bootup. The message was in a foreign language, but I'm assuming it was "initializing". It would initialize for about 3 minutes then an error message would pop up saying something is not responding.

Well I have been trying to. When I flash the firmware in odin, it reinstalls the stock recovery mod. Right after flashing firmware, it won't go into recovery mode on the first boot (first does some android robot install thing, then boots up). I attempted to install the TWRP recovery directly after the firmware, and then booting directly into recovery to factory reset, but I'm still getting a boot loop.

[Q] Accidently closed TWRP

Hi guys, I will try and explain this as simple as possible.
I as trying to install cyanogenmod 11 on my phone, and everything seemed to go alright until I made a mistake. I used TWRP to first backup my stock rom on the phone, and then when I was supposed to reboot into the app, I accidently rebooted the phone.
Now the problem is that the phone does not have any OS installed, so what is happening is that it's trying to boot into an OS that's not there, and instead ends up being stuck on the Samsung logo. I can enter Odin mode just fine, but for the love of god I cannot seem to figure how to get back into the TWRP application, or if it is even possible.
I do have the backup of the ROM stored on my SD card, and I've now moved it over to my PC, but it still does not seem to help me in any way. I've trid to launch the Odin3 program on my pc, in an attempt to to try and launch in TWRP through that, but it has all been without any success, so now I come to this board of guinesses, asking for help!
As an added bit of information, this was my first time trying to install a custom rom, so yeah.. Puff..
- The lost Dane.
- Edit -
I tried to "flash" by doing what this link said, in the hopes that my phone would boot into the program, but alas, it only booted back to the logan saying "samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005" :/
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30694404
-- Edit Edit --
To make it super clear ... If I could get back into TWRP, I would be able to run my backup. I know how that app works, I just simply cannot get back into, and I do not know if it is even possible. I've searched and tried various guides to "flash TWRP through Odin" but it has all been without any success... :/

Did you hold volume up+home+power button to get into recovery mode?
In case your twrp get corrupted due to flashing failure previously
1. Download twrp from the following. 2.6.3.7 if you were running 4.3 or 2.6.3.8 if you were running 4.4.2(not sure if 2
6.3.8 is 4.3 compatible). For odin flashable use the one with .tar

2. Get into download mode(vol down+home+power)
3. Link the downloaded .tar to pda in odin. Odin log should show 'added' once you connect phone to pc
4. Start the process. Once finish phone should boot into recovery automatically but it'll try to boot back into OS. Just hold vol up+home+power button to get back into recovery

When I do that, I get an ultra short blue text appearing on the screen, before it goes into downloading mode, with a red text saying "Could not do normal boot." So it basically goes right into odin mode.

I edited my post. You need to reflash twrp
You are an absolute god. I wish I could show my appreciation, but I fear words isn't even enough to even begin.. I managed to get into TWRP now, though my backup rom doesn't show up anymore, but I suppose that's because I run a different version of TWRP than I did first? Idk, but really appreciate that you were able to get me back into TWRP.

I really do appreciate the help you've given, but I have one final request, and I really do hope it isn't too much to ask. Say I am unable to find the same version of TWRP, I will have to actually flash cyanogenmod onto my device. I don't think it should be too tough now that I've managed to launch into TWRP, because now I should be able to just put the rom on my SD card, and then install the files, no?
if it helps you, my device is SM-N9005, and I had 4.3 when I started this whole thing. Cheers!
- Edit.
I tried to download the Nighty build from CyanogenMod's own homepage, but when I try and install it, it says failed, giving me an erro that says "This package is for "hlexx" devices: This is a." That's all it says ... Hmfh. Sooooooooo... Yes! I'm in recovery mode now, but without any rom. :/

Yes you can flash any cm based rom.
You can also flash any stock rom such as SweetRom/X-Note/BobCat as most developers still keeping 4.3 rom in their thread.

Believe so. It's because of updater script i guess as described in the link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600648&page=2
Try flashing chenglu's 6.0.4.5 recovery.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2454079
Just the same as you did for twrp. I think i read somewhere that changing recovery helped some people.
The worst just download sweetrom/x-note/bobcatrom or any stock 4.3 based rom if you deperately need the phone to boot up

So after having spent the better half of the night, I actually managed to get my phone to boot into cyanogenmod 11 ! But that joy was shortlived when I came to realize that wi-fi wasn't working, and I couldn't get it to work. I tried to factory reset as I had read would help, but alas it did no good. I figured I should try and run back a stock 4.4.2 rom and just be done with it, but that was when I realized I had lost my root (?!) so that wasn't really a possibility either, next I set out to try and find a way to root my phone now running cyanogenmod 11. I found a file here on XDA called "CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.tar" but whenever I try and flash that onto my phone, my phone just stays stuck saying "trying to enter into recovery mode" and does not really go anywhere from there. I can get back into recovery mode if I flash "n9005-cwm-recovery-6.0.4.5(1116)" onto the phone, like you said, but that still leaves me without root access, which I need to throw a rom onto my device?! Arrrgh, this is getting silly, I just wish I could go back to my backup/ default rom on the device, but I can't.

About the cf auto root make sure you flash the one for 4.3. I believe you flashed the one for 4.4.2.
Doesn't really matter whether you have root access or not as long as you can boot into custom recovery. Just flash any custom rom. It'll give you root anyway.
Still if you need root just make sure you flash cf auto root then flash twrp or chenglu recovery. Flash the one for 4.3 that's the most important

But when I have cyanogenmod 11 installed, is that then not 4.4.2 ? I suppose that's what's giving me trouble... I'll try and see if I can find the cf auto root for 4.3 and return back if I was successful or not. Again, thank you for being so patient..
-Edit
This seems to be the only one I can find; http://download.chainfire.eu/352/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.zip
And I've already tried that one 3 times, but every time I flash it, the phone reboots and keeps trying to enter into recovery mode, and is unable to do so before I've flashed n9005-cwm-recovery-6.0.4.5(1116) again
this is what it says;
"recovery booting...
Recovery is not seandroid enforcing
Set warranty bit : Recovery "

Just enter download mode and reflash twtp. I saw there are 4 different versions for 4.3(2.6.3.0/2 6.3.5/2.6.3.6/2.3.6.7). Flash 1 by 1 and see if it can restore your backup

You really are a boss with a heart of gold! I used the file you linked me, ran it, and sure enough it installed and gave me root access. Believe it or not, but I am learning from this! The whole thing about bootloader being different from the rom version was new to me. But I am up and running with root access now, so now I hope it shouldn't be too hard to get a stock rom thrown in. I've kinda given up on my backup. I no longer care for the files I had before, now I just want the phone up and running with wifi.. X_ X
- Edit
Or do you have any clue as to what is causing wifi to not work? I really don't mind the rom at all, I quite like it, but where I live wifi is mandatory as it's a lowered area with mountains around me, meaning LTE really isn't viable while at home.

Download the one for 4.3 bootloader, once download I place the zip folder on my SD card
- Then boot into Recovery mode, wipe phone clean, and then install the rom directly from inside of Recovery mode?

Yes i used the power+volume up button combination and it went in download mode, than the screen changed and showed "Firmware update" beneath it: "Do not unplug the USB connection until the prcess is complete." Is this the donwload mode?
The link with the recovery back to stock ROM seems complicated with lot of steps. Can i instead go for a google edition rom (such as EHNDROIX V) instead of the stock ROM at this stage?

1.2). Firmware Files HERE! KitKat 4.4.2 Firmwares
1.3). Download R&D FlashTool (offline fix) & LGMOBILEAX: HERE & HERE
1.4).Download Drivers - Click Here
Than Method 3 from the link you provided.
How do i do it exactly? Drivers i have already installed the rom is downloded. Step 1.3 is not clear how it works togehter with Method 3?

Rooting worked, checked it afterwards with an root check app.
Also installed the AutoRec successfully with the apk file, i did run it after inszallation and everything. But i want to test it whether it is there, how can i check it? I held the power+down keys but its an white screen: "Factory hard reset" below it: "Permanently Erase user Data & Reset settings?" and below this: "Press power key to confirm, and any other key to cancel". Seems not like recovery with a lot of options touch buttons and things. How can i check for correct installation of the AutoRec?

Hi, so a while ago I tried using kingroot and installed it for a little bit and used root to uninstall some factory installed apps like amazon, etc. then when i decided i did not want root anymore. i used the kingroot app to remove root and then uninstalled the kingroot application.
then i downloaded a root checker app to see if i was rooted. i was not.
now whenever i boot up my phone it says samsung and then the word custom with a gear icon below it.
now when i tried the newest version of pokemon go version 0.37.0 it says it cannot run on my device cause apparently it thinks i am rooted.
is there anyway to solve this? other than a factory reset?
I don't think a factory reset would help either.
You'd have to delete every trace of root left on your device, and kingroot probably left some files behind.
Unless you can find them, the most sure method is to flash another ROM (stock) though Odin.
I believe a custom kernel would also work, or the stock boot.img of your current ROM.

The ROM you can get from Sammobile. As for the files left behind, I don't know how kingroot handles those, but to access and delete them you would have to be rooted.

ok, i powered down the phone and held the power and volume up buttons to get into recovery mode and then i selected wipe cache partition. and then rebooted. it seems that has solved the custom and gear icon below on when it first boots up. cause now it shows samsung galaxy s4 which is correct. but when i try pokemon go 0.37.0 it still says this device or software is not supported what should i do now? i heard somewhere that you can use xposed framework module

I already told you that a factory reset does not unroot.
If you want to completely unroot, flash the stock ROM.
If you don't want that, downgrade to Pokémon version 0.35.
0.37 has not even been officially released yet. I mean, I don't even have it on the play store and it's the same for many others.
PS: Xposed also needs root.

You need one for your specific phone model (AT&T or Verizon I assume).

You don't need a pit file. And if the files are wrong, the instalation will just fail.
If that's the firmware you had previously, then it's ok.

Yes. But if the firmware is older than what you had on the phone (5.0 > 4.3) it may fail to flash.
