I recommend you to reflash your actual firmware (or upgrade to the latest).
It probably will work

First, you have to see your current rom. You can see it in settings>information.
I recomend you to install the Flyme 4.2.0.4A, is not the latest but the best for me.
You can download all the roms here:
http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?p=17448940
(I will create a thread here later)
Simply download the rom and open the "update.zip" with the "documents" preinstalled flyme app.
It will guide you the instalation. You will se it is very easy.

During the instalation, you will have two options, to erase data or not.
If you select the option of erasing data, it will be erased everything except photos and music.
If you dont select anything, only the system will be formatted. The rest will be remain the same as before the instalation

It depends, if you are going to go to a newest firmare, it is not necessary.
If you are downgrading it is highly recommended.
Also, if you have a big problem and a normal flash dont solves it, a complete erase would be better

Try to install the latest firmware. 4.2.0.5A or A beta version of the lollipop firmware can be downloaded from

Here it seems alright to me. If you want to make everything look smaller on your phone you could try changing DPI; You'll need ROOT for that.

Did you change your screen size in terminal?
Otherwise dirty flash a stock rom over your current rom. And flash SuperSU and Xposed (if you need it)
Would solve the issue.

Just download latest version for your variant.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...-stock-x1572-1575-5-1-1-lph23-116-18-t3229355
I recommend deodex version over the odexed.
Then boot into recovery.
Flash the stock rom zip. Flash SuperSU update package + Xposed if you want.
Wipe cache/dalvik cache.
Then you should be almost stock like. If you want to change DPI safely next time. Use this app.

Just followed all these steps and the problem still exists for me

TWRP Backup not working properly

I used TWRP Backup, to get a backup of my phone. I was on B574 official build. After that, I installed B574 Deodex (a custom rom slightly changed from the official). One big extra that the Deodex gave me, is that with the xposed installed, I could have my call app, operational. This Rom, has some drawbacks, so I decided to return to the official one, using my backup through TWRP. The problem is, that although I had everything wiped (including system and internal storage), my restored rom, has issues similar to the deodex one (including the issues I had originally with the official build). Am I doomed to go for a new fresh install and without the Xposed? Does anyone know why I get a hybrid of both Roms?
Thanks in advance!

What issues? I have this rom.
Harassment filter does not work (whether you try through phone manager or call app) and since I install it, my external storage is not recognized by my pc. I can only see the picture folder.

Hmmm.... I don't have this problem. My harassment filter is working also the pc detects external and internal storage (using MTP).
Unfortunately for me the harassment auto closes and I cannot detect my SD.

If you are talking about online number identification then that feature doesn't work (you need to manually add number either via dialer or in text messages). Can you detect sdcard using hi suite?

No. To give you a hint , I had 2 calls and 2 messages in the harassment and I couldn't see who was it. It doesn't open at all. Can you give me instructions on what did you do, in order to install the rom? Although I am pretty sure, I followed every single instruction .....

Try clearing cache and dalvik cache(via TWRP) and check if it is working or not.
althought, I had tried cleaning them, somehow I got factory reset. At this moment i am getting the backup through huawei backup. We'll see. Thanks in advance! From the moment I got factory reset, the harassment filter works. Let's see after the backup is restored ......

Ok, done it. The problem remains. After having factory reset, it seemed to work (didn't have any problem), but after a while, I got the same issue. The harassment filter gets a forced close. Also while attempting to enter something like "management rights", I have the same response from the system, having a forced close.

How to unroot Mi A1?

Hi, guys.
I have rooted my Mi A1. But now after facing the problem with October update, I want to undo all changes made on my device and receive and install all future updates without any additional procedures - just receive OTA update click install button and that's all.
My first question is - is it possible?
The second is - can anybody explain me how can I do it?
Note: After flashing and getting root FlashFire shows me that system's active slot is slot B right now. Also after some attempts to install October OTA update (playing with slots A/B) my device shows me that I do not have any root access now. The screenshots are attached.
Thanks beforehand.
I think the best way is to flash stock image you can find on miui download site.

Basically, if you flash the factory image, it should be (or I believe it is) written on the both partitions, so you can start with "clean shield", but on the newest update.
You can even preserve user data within the tool

I'm not really sure if it's true or not, but I think it it. Like, if you have any problems with either partition A or B, simply flashing factory image over it should fix both, that's why I think it's true.

As I understood, this device has 2 same images, am I right? And it means if one image size is 4 GB then it is multiplied by 2 and 2 images` size is equal to 8 GB.

Referring from here, it's not true:
A/B updates require an increase of only 320 MiB in flash, with a savings of 32MiB from removing the recovery partition and another 100MiB preserved by removing the cache partition.

Actually it's true as I checked the tables on the site, but it's not that much of a difference if you own a 64 GB device, it won't take more than 400 MB of storage

If you are on stock recovery, the above method will work without any problem. However,if you are on TWRP,you better flash it through the install option.
I'd always recommend peeps to wipe everything before flashing a major build. However, you should be fine even if you dirty flash or wipe cache/dalvik.
Edit:Most of the people face battery drain issues after flashing a rom/update/firmware.I advise you to clear cache/dalvik after flashing any update/rom

Remove Encryption

Hi all,
Fairly new to this phone (9t) and am currently on Titanium is. Was wondering if there's a way to disable encryption as I tend to find if things go wrong you potentially lose all data and I tend to mess about with mods etc so don't want to run that risk!
Cheers!

You need to format Data to remove encryption ONlLY if you want to install custom ROMs
For Magisk and any modding you plan to do with Magisk/root, you don't need.
Also, for the official TWRP or OrangeFox you don't need to decrypt (unless you go for custom ROMs)
I'm currently on a custom ROM but when I first went through the setup process everything was decrypted, then when I booted up and went in settings, it said encrypted and going by to twrp asked for my pattern to decrypt. I'm not sure what I've missed through doing all that but as a consequence, whenever I flash an update to the ROM, I have to reflash vendor + fw just to be able to boot again... I'm worried that at some point this will **** up and screw my data up.
So say for example if I set everything up from scratch again, what process should I follow? I'm using the Italian guys' twrp atm (sorry forget his username!) So is there a different twrp I should use instead or is there anything else I need to flash/do to avoid encryption happening on first boot?
