CyanogenMod tries to build a new, fresh "nightly" version every 24 hours for each of the devices it supports, which includes the most up-to-date changes to the source code, provided from all over the Internet. Of course, the nightly builds may also contain newly-introduced bugs, but hey- if you feel adventurous, you can help make CyanogenMod better by trying these experimental builds and reporting back bugs to the developers.

CM12.1 WILL ENCRYPT YOUR DEVICE IF YOU AREN'T ALREADY.
I used this to stay unencrypted. You will need to flash it after flashing every nightlie!!

I couldn't find a thread for the official nightlies, so here it is I guess. If there is an issue with this, mods delete. Just would be nice to have a spot to talk about the official nightlies.....unofficially.

I'm running 4/20 build with full stock gapps and have no issues so far.

4/21 Build, still no noticeable issues.
I think i am having this conversation with myself.. lol

I'm watching the thread. Want to flash CM12.1 but want to see how stable the builds are first. So any information is helpful.

I really haven't had any issues.. been running the nightlies since they were available from other users who built them, now just running the official ones. I will report anything I find, but so far it's been flawless.

The only issue I seem to be having is incoming mms photos are really compressed. Anyone else have this issue?

I believe the only major bug currently is, VoLTE is broken.

I just installed 4-21 yesterday and seen that today's build 4-22 will have the 5.1.1 merged so I dirty flashed over 4-21 and all seems good so far. I can't test VoLTE because I don't have it in my area.

I just did the same.
I did notice some weird stuff on the 4/20 build, but I think it was related to my DPI change. I reverted back to the stock DPI and everything seems ok now.

I have volte on Verizon but I believe its like chroma if u reboot u have to turn off then back on
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

4/22 build is slow to send SMS at times and noticed the messaging app is goofy at times. I'll be in a message and normally it would say the contacts name on top, sometimes that is missing.
Will wipe and try new build and report back.

Has anybody else had issues with Bluetooth randomly shutting off and requiring a reboot to turn back on? I'm on 4/23 update.

I'm running into an issue where I just can't get cm 12.1 to boot. I had an issue w/ Chroma and flashed back to the latest factory images including bootloader, radio, everything. From there, I have TWRP back and working but no matter which combination of cm12.1 build I try with any of Zen, Franco or Lean kernels along w/ the gapps from the cm wiki, I just get stuck at the blue robot and expanding circle boot logo. No amount of time sitting (10+ minutes) allows it to pass. Admittedly I have not tried w/o a kernel, but I don't want to encrypt it. The phone boots fine with stock just fine. A new install of Chroma works as well without issue. Thoughts anyone? Thanks in advance.

Probably some changes have been done that those kernels dont support, for Zen did you use the anykernel zip? That *should* work.
Also, VoLTE works, but you must first toggle it off, then toggle it on. If you reboot, you must redo these steps, but it does work.

Anyone got volte to work on verizon yet on the latest 12.1 nightlies?

Mine has been working just fine

can anyone post a link to the official thread? i can't find it

Thanks, I had ignored that one cuz it said 5.0 not 5.1. Also, not sure why it's in general, but it looks like this is the one I want. Thanks again

4/28 Nightly with the "super alpha" xposed 5.1 is working great for me.

is this based on PA 4.5 stable branch or on 4.6 beta?
anyhow GREAT job man! :good:
Launcher3 is force closing on me .
EDIT: No logs, going to bed that's why
Is there dual sin version of Mi2? First time I heard that.
Of course thanks a lot M1cha.....
why in general?
:cyclops: Oh, here is my favorite rom AOSPA, almost missed it.
But... the OP is quiet confusing, and why in general?
 Back in Android 4.3 time ParanoidAndroid is THE favorite rom of mine, I just can' froget that shining PIE control after the first sight.
But currently I'm lack on storage space on data partition (this is one serious problem for aries...) so trying out this new rom might not be a very good idea for me... I'll definitely check on this thread~ Anyone who tried this rom, please do share your experience!
:good: Thank you M1cha, for bringing this great rom to aries, as always - you're the best!
Am having issues with 4.6 BETA4 on MI2S. The video recording doesn't records audio. Please advise.
PS: I tried 4.6 BETA3 and it has the same problem.
EDIT: Could someone direct me which files to replace for the camera/video recording libraries? So I could copy from CM11?
EDIT2: Whatsapp voice note also doesn't seems to work.
I would like to change the min frecuency when the screen is on,with but change in a while and then set on 1024 MHz again.
Can you tell mehow can I do it?
Thanks for this great ROM

[POLL] - What Custom ROM do you want most for D855

Hi Everyone,
As you know the dev team is making progress on the device repo for most devices, since I build for the D855, I want to bring you guys a ROM once bump is released, so let me know which ROM you want most and if I get permission from that ROM's dev I will post it here
Current status I've tested (all current device issues are the same on all ROMs, such as wifi)
Mahdi-ROM - very stable, no software issues
AICP - very stable, no software issues
Cyanogenmod - very stable, no software issues
AOSB - Working great now! being used as Daily for now by me
Vanir-AOSP - very stable, no software issues
Omni - being worked on
Team-Gummy ROM - Future
Pac-ROM - Future
Beanstalk - build issues, not tested yet
Paranoid Android - Works Great!
LiquidSmooth ROM - Working Great on D855
DirtyUnicorns - Being Worked on
I'd like Cyanogenmod or Paranoid android because I see those roms getting updates quickly...
At this stage I'll take anything, honestly, but I'd really like to see PA.
I've heard good things about Mahdi though so I'll say Mahdi !!!
ProBAM is awesome project. I love it.

It is fast, stable enough and update frequently.
Easy on initial installation and future updates.

CM11 -> CM12 worked for me
I had CM11 with SU.
After installing latest ClockworkMod I flashed the CM12 without issues..
it only gave me 1 error of unmounting/device busy for /data... just ignore it... (althought i missed a heart beat )
then installed superSu v2.19 beta....
works like a charm...
Only thing not working is "Enable quick boot mode"... but that's ok... not an problem...
Thanks

Smooth and User friendly rom
Today I downloaded this custom rom and flashed it through recovery. After that it took me 12 to 15 mins to load to the desktop. Then I flashed the gapps and the supersu v2.16 and rebooted the device. This rom is really cool and it is working great. Battery performance is tremendous. Thanks to the developer for giving such a nice custom rom.
I hope in future theme chooser and other things will be implemented. I am waiting for the updates to come at the earliest.
ok
I flashed it all seems well... O i did find something in the rom... It's not a big deal. And is there a Franco based kernel floating around?
Good ROM
Although premature and pretty much stock AOSP, this build runs well so far. Good battery life and no bugs, really. Got this mainly for DSP Manager (it works!), will be upgrading until an official CM12 build. Thanks for the good work! ?
Excellent work - Small feedback
Hello!
Just to let people know that like myself wondered if it would be ok - This can be flashed using CWM6 I used it myself to flash this!
I got one error as soon as it started flashing about unmounting/device busy but if you just wait the install continues succesfully I went from CM11 Snapshot 12 but I did not dirty flash as I figured that would be the fastest way to introduce errors.
After the first attempt all seemed fine but it simply would not connect to wireless or data connections so bounced back into recovery, wiped data, cache and Dalvik and booted back up and all is working great.
The only app so far that does not work with me is Google authenicator - Can anyone else confirm if this app is working for them or not? It force closes everytime I click Begin setup - Little anoying as I use 2 step auth for my Gmail
Other than this build runs brilliantly and I would like to thank the original poster for his work and time
Yeah the authenticator works for me. May have to wipe and reflash. I found 2 bugs. When you using LTE on our nexus 4 it still says 3g on the status bar. But when you pull it down it says LTE on the tiles......and when you are watching a video on chrome or Facebook. The video plays them freezes but you can still hear and the timer is still going but the video itself is froze.... Check and see if these things happen to you

With that, some words of wisdom:
1.This is an Android 5.1 Lollipop-based release - update your third party addons to ensure compatibility
2.The CM backupscript.sh in recovery will ignore and remove incompatible applications from your system partition (these are usually non-CM apps that users have opted to install). You must install a compatible app (or app pack) to regain that functionality
3.You can flash CM12.1 nightlies directly from CM11 M12 or CM 11 nightlies (no need to wipe), provided you read and followed items 1 and 2
4.Once on CM12.1 nightlies, you cannot downgrade back to CM11 without wiping – if you are thinking of just exploring the release, then take a backup of your existing installation if you want to go back to it.
5.You’ll need an L compatible recovery DOWNLOAD post #2 [TWRP - install]
6.For those which have problem with root acces - flashable superSU file via custom recovery.
6a.Check also on developer options is there root acces is "thick" for APPS+ADB
enjoy!

"We would like to note that at this point we consider ourselves 85% complete for our initial CM12 M release. We’ll spend the remainder of this month bringing up additional devices and finishing up the features you’ve come to love from CM11 – implementing them into the new Material UI.
At this point, the following large items are not implemented, but should be in the next few weeks. Some additional smaller tweaks are also missing, but left off this list:
Theme Engine
Quick Settings reorganization and customization
Quick Settings Ribbon mode
Navigation bar reorganization and customization
Sound panel customization
Lock-screen quick unlock"

Unless they changed their policy, this was their stance on encryption for OFFICIAL releases as of 10/31. You can still flash a different kernel that supports unencrypted volumes though, or install an unofficial release that comes with a different kernel.
"Items not up for debate:
1) Watering down of SELINUX protections or Encryption by default. These are base protections L is introducing and we should support these items as such. If your device fails to allow encrypting, it will not get a CM sanctioned release."
hopefully the theme engine will be here soon just waiting for that before I flash.
Verizon LTE Support??
Does this support Verizon LTE or is it plagued by the ongoing issues found with some of the other CM-based ROMs for shamu?

Some of the other roms see issues like no data on certain carriers. I am running LS on sprint and it is working good except i have sms fail occasionally.

Shouldn't this be in Original Android development since this is the official thread?
I have install this build and first impression:
DIALER is much response compared to pure shamu rom + sensei kernel
no lag
no SOD
phone is not hot
during install this ROM phone being encrypted (it takes 30s)
it needs time to say more
Downloading now to see
one more thing so much important :
enough loud voice during a call without any modification! (out of the box)
what kernel would you guys recommend using to stay as close as possible to stock but with out encryption?
ROOT is a little different. Took me awhile to figure out that privacy guard has to be enabled on the app to recognize superuser access. Looks good other than the white background is killing me! cant wait for themes.
greenify seems to freeze the phone when using this first nightly. weird cuz it didnt happen with the unofficial builds.

ROM Recommendations? Bad luck so far...

Hi All,
So I have tried over the past couple of months - LOS, RR, SkyDragon and RR.
I was using LOS at the very beginning, the battery was way worse than expected. So far RR was my favorite but I can no longer cope with the constant network/signal issue (NOT MY WIFI) It is absolutely terrible.
The WiFi disconnects with ? - the sim ejects (only one) - and the general signal is piss poor. The battery however is top notch. Oh and any picture taken with stock camera has big green lines running down them.
I know no ROM will be perfect but some must be better than most.
Or am I - have I done something wrong (I am a hardcore techie/Cyber guy) So I like to think i know my stuff. Maybe I am missing a network file or something?
My current ROM is attached.
http://bit.ly/2sAcySB
Are you clean flashing these ROMs? I've run LOS and RR (both official and unofficial) without any issues whatsoever. Running unofficial RR currently as my daily driver with no network or wifi drops. Try flashing the OOS 3.5.8 firmware (not the full ROM, just the firmware, link is in my signature), and then try to clean flash a ROM of your choice. Use the nano OpenGapps package (this will avoid installing Google Contacts, which is known to cause network drops).

Hi, Yeah I always fully wipe and do clean installs.. But not for the OTA updates (obviously)
Upon researching I have seen the Google Contacts thing mentioned a few times. I will give that a go. Thanks

Morning mate - so I did all of the above - to the letter. SAME PROBLEM
So, I will be on a WiFi call and after a couple of mins the connection will go - I move the phone away from my face and see crosses 'X' through WiFi and both sims - then it all comes back on... It's like all my signal(s) timeout or something. It really is frustrating but I DO NOT want to revert to stock.
Any ideas?

Sounds like you should take a look at paranoid android as they focus on stability, but they are still testing the oneplus 2 android 7 version so you'll have to wait a little if you want android 7.
I used to switch between ROMs because I wasn't satisfied, but I have settled for AospExtended. The offscreen gestures are still there and I like the customizability, especially being able to make the notifications menu have a blurred background. The latest version is 7.1.2.
