I had bad experience with Meizu, i think it is not serious company. I had problem with my Mx4 that it lost recovery, phone was constantly restarted until meizu logo and restart again. Couldnt enter recovery, only fastboot mod, but as it is protected by security i couldnt do nothing. So i contacted meizufrance and asked for service. I didnt want to send my phone to china,. They told me to send device at official service in France, they will repair. I send device, they told me it will cost 159euros,I said ok, and i was waiting 1 months, always when i contact to see what is progress, they answer they wait answer from constructor, then they need electronic part, then they need software from constructor, then this then that. and finaly they answer that constructor doesnt want to send electronic part for my phone ( i guess it is motherboard), and they will send my phone back to me and money i give for service. I dont understand why meizu didnt want to help, even i paid.
So i think this petition what i signed already, will help nothing . On meizufans forum, if we write about this, we get ban, i think it is same even on official meizu forum. You cant tell nothing bad.
i send several mails to meizu support, with problem, and even video, they answer was to boot in recovery and flash update.zip. after they didnt answer on mails. then i contact by facebook, it was same answer,
I think this is waste time, they will not do anything.

it could be even enough if they realise tool that we can just reflash stock firmware, stock recovery if something get wrong
I know @slavke1976... The administrators of meizufans and meizuforum are really bad and mind-closed... Better to speak here in XDA, with no restrictions.

I don't understand emails are invisibles for futur customers, a petition is visible and show there is a problem with choices meizu made.
I think this is the better strategy instead of sending emails

On meizufans AOKP is moderator cofounder of forum, has 17yo. they give him one meizu phone and now he imagine is a god. I dont understand, how there is no official service for meizu phones out of China? This AOKP from meizufans tell that only service is in china. I can agree with him now as i know that meizu service from France cant repair my phone. Even i would pay for it. It is why i think that petition will not work, as they dont listen costumers. On meizu forum i cant even post in treads. I can read but nit write.

I agree.
But the stop of the production of mx4 pro is due to the pressure of mediatek. I think that all Meizus will have mediatek cpus now, thats the reason.
I have now read a little about mask mode and it seems to be for Android tv sitcks, I dont know
Any way for my phone, i will not pay extra 139$ for motherboard, so i can play with my phone, maybe something will arrive, if no it will go to garbage LOL
I have an answer today from meizu france i'll send it on this forum tonight

There are lots of "good" reasons, like "I stole the phone and hope to hide the fact" or "I want to defraud the manufacturer" etc...

Oh, and FWIW, I thought US law specified "ESN" and therefore I thought I'd read that IMEI changing isn't actually illegal in the US. Of course this was a while ago, and I am *NOT* a lawyer anyway.

Easy and legal way is this - unplug halfway through an update, or fry the board somehow, send it in for a warranty repair with proof of legal purchase, and they will replace the board which also changes the IMEI - there you go, a legal and easy way to do it.

I think most courts would agree that's fraud. Fraud isn't legal by definition.

OMG!!!!!!! so now i have been tagged as a THEIF..... I asked for keypad solution just because someone REALLY changed it........ and i was just curious about IMEI number like wht if i change it........ people here come out with their own conclusions just cause they feel something is fishy here...... well a simple answer here would be that " NO CANT HELP COZ ITS ILLEGAL " and not that blaming me for being a theif..... i needed help so thats why i post my problems here and first time i got som real help...... i was online to post for a new ROM installation help but now i feel that i shouldnt post anything here...... Your first post suggests that you wanted it changed desperately. Now, in the post above, you say you're just being curious....

Fantastic idea, you should be banned. Being what you are you will probably reregister. My suggestion to you is that you send the fone back to the poor guy who lost it. When you lost your phone didn't you wish a decent fellow found it and handed it in. Go on and do the decent thing.
The only "legit" reason I can think of to change an IMEI is if you live in Turkey and bought your device in another country. A stupid law there puts honest people in a very difficult situation.
To be fair lads, as far as I'm concerned, we can discuss mechanisms for changing the IMEI, as it's an aspect of xda developing, and the founders of this forum did some of the seminal published work in the field.
However, legitimate reasons for imei changing are limited or questionable.
zahirsayed: if you can make a good argument for why you need the IMEI changing, some people may help you out. Otherwise, it's normally implied that the obvious reason to change the IMEI is as a result of a friend of a friend giving a friend a phone... we don't promote that kind of immoral behaviour. But we're all for bestiality...

This may be a really idiotic question but in my mind it really makes sense. But, I only know some basic things about programming and things of that nature, and not to much about ROM's. But anyway, here goes.
I called Htc earlier today, as I do every week to see if there was any new news on a release date for the very , very elusive Official Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade for my Htc Touch/Vougue, from Alltel. Knowing that Alltel is usually one of the last carriers to get things done,
I tried to get a release date from him with no prevail. But he mentioned that Wm6.1 had already been released in a few other countries(Im in the US), which Im sure quite a few of you knew, but I did not. I had actually never heard this, or read about it here, so I called back and brought it up to another tech and he said the same thing, so I am assuming it's true. If they have misled me , then I'm extremely sorry for the waste of space.
Now I dont know what countries he's talking about, no clue actually ,but heres my thought. If it has already been released in an official form from some overseas cell provider, why couldn't someone download the ROM, and somehow add language support for other countries? Couldn't they just remove the Radio portion of the ROM and release an actual wm6.1 ROM.
Now, like I said , I know nothing or ROM's other than what Ive read here over the past few months, and only what little Ive understood of that. But there are Wm6.1 threads everywhere , of people wanting a stock/orig version, so this just crossed my mind. Maybe that where these custom 6.1 roms on here come from? Im not sure. But its just a thought. Anyone care to correct me or comment? Dont be harsh though, I seriously didn't know if this was possible, and thought if it was, why hasnt it been done. Thanks guys.

i think wm6.1 roms are available here for a long time..
It's been realesed in various countries outside of the US most likely because of a higher demand, and HTC operates from Taiwan. The update itself is per carrier and country.
Try the "Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking" section, or the section dedicated to your phone, and you might find what your looking for.
I too am suprised to see curious george hasn't told you to stop thinking, maybe he's been kidnapped or something?

Hey guys whats up!!! You guys at XDA have been so great to me and I think it is about time i paid you back! I have been developing a website for quite sometime now that will make it easier for users to get at some key applications and information. Basicly my website is distrubiting some popular applications and even some that are useful and arent that well known yet. I update the website frequently so be sure to check it out!!!! Nothing against you personally. But I read through your other thread and the way you had written your posts - You were trying to make it seem that you had nothing to do with it and just stumbled on to it or something. I won't hold it against you forever. Maybe a day. I am glad to see that you are taking ownership. I will probably take a peek at your site. I have checked out your contributions to this site and you are right. You have contribued quite a bit. Your contributions are appreciated here and valued. Keep up the good work with your themes etc... Just remember not to take advantage of everyone here through trickery. If your site is that great, Take pride in it and take ownership. If there is trickery, thefts, Warez in your site than I would understand why you would not take ownership.
I have to admit - When I first saw this it was in your other thread on this. I didn't notice in your opening post *In this thread) that you actually say you worked on this site. I appologize; however, you did still appear very dishonest in the other thread and even in this one a little bit. You should go and edit your posts though so that things are clear with everyone. Wow you guys are harsh! lol xda is a relay cool site but im not to keen on the way it looks.
What im trying to do is make one big massive list of links to everything I have found for the x1. And im hoping other members will contribute what I haven't found.
I relay like the black and lime green skin but other members have complained so il make another skin and give the option to change it in the near future.

Face Book dose allow discussion boards but I was limited to what I could do... links looked messy, and to add links to the page I had to enter them into a text box that was smaller than my x1 screen. It was a pain in the bum. pluss now we have extra features such as a spell checker, the ability to upload pics, signatures and avators and so on...........

Sorry what are Warez? crappy design? I like the skin lol. But there are more than a few that dont. I intend to make an alternative skin when im next off work.
To be honest, I think the idea of a whole board dedicated to the Xperia is a nice idea. XDA is great, dont get me wrong, but it's just not quite as specialized. I've seen topics and questions that get replies like "Oh, I had that problem on my HTC diamond" or "I did this on my other smart phone". So I suppose it's not always relevant or helpful, despite good intentions.
Give the guy a break, eh? I'm sure none of you all would find it very pleasant if you posted something you thought was interesting or helpful, and a bunch of people replied with nasty comments or called it spam.

Few days ago,I left a comment on the SE product blog,realating to the "8mb file" on the SE developers.com and a SE support engineer emailed me and it probably shows that SE KNOWS NOTHING OF OUR CUSTOM ROM??
Perhaps he is pretending.....

On behalf of some considerations ,it might be good for them to support devs cuz what z,j and other devs doing is ,in certain point of view,elongating the life span of their product,they can just save money to elongate the life by releasing the RSA key

Editersonally I will call z and j devs rather than hackers...
The only thing I need to be 100% happy with my X10 is the bootloader cracked to have a kernel which allows overclocking (at least for the moment I only need that xD)

I'll be honest here, I wouldn't bother to answer your email if I were him. First of all your email shows the immaturity of your writing. Second of all, you are asking the wrong questions to the wrong guy. He is just a support engineer who took the time and tried to help you with your question ( the first one only ), he doesn't know about SE future plans, even if he does, do you think that he is stupid enough to give you answers so you can come here and expose them?
