CyanogenMod coming soon to HTC One : Codeworkx + Koush

Friends.. Just wanted to share this.. I know a build is under progress for the at&t version .. but the 2 most amazing developers at CyanogenMod are now building it for the international version.. And the way they are going we should be seeing it in a few days as experimental builds.
1) @codeworkx : we all know codeworkx of team hack sung ..
https://plus.google.com/111398485184813224730/posts/aJHAEuhyfzM
And
2) @Koush : developer and maker of cwm .. rom manager and Dev at CyanogenMod
http://koush.com/post/one-review .. See the last part..
I heard cyanogen himself is getting one, so I'm looking forward to having the creator of the Rom itself

But I think he said that he was going to develop for the Qualcomm version of the S4, not sure though... A bit disappointed but we still have really amazing developers!
I have limited knowledge on rom development but I have flashed CM on my current GS2 so would like to ask a few questions -
1.How difficult is it to root and flash roms on HTC devices, the One in particular, compared to Samsung phones?
2. There was lack of documentation and dev support from Samsung's side on the GS2, how does HTC compare? Will CM have everything functioning?
3. How does the 2 button lay out work with CM? Can we configure the buttons?
The MSM8960 crew has already built CM10.1. Check the AT&T HTC One Original Android Development section.
Codeworkx is currently working along with them. Not sure about Koush.
I heard CyanogenMod is working on other stuff currently.

Cm is nice but I'm worried about loosing features from the camera
Not sure they would be able to port it cleanly

Just fyi, ATT version of the device is the same basically as international. My understanding is that there are currently two different variants: GSM (international+ATT) and CDMA (Sprint)
So, ATT ROMs will work on international devices. Trickdroid is known to work on ATT, and I have read somewhere an international user using CM from the AT&T section.

Correct, all GSM variants play nice with one another. So a Rom developed for ATT will work with the international version. People will have to be a little careful when s-off comes but typically devs do not include radio's in their Rom's.
Man I hope sprint version gets the cm loving also

im getti my rgers locked HTC one in a couple of days do i use ROMS from this forum or the ATT htc one forum???
Don't think it matters as long as it's a gsm phone

True - I think this is the first time people will really consider not rooting a HTC phone because of Sense.

yeah, not putting an AOSP rom on my phone this time. Too many issues in the past on phones like the sgs3 - not everything works 100%, camera quality is crap, battery life not optimized, etc. Sense 5 is pretty minimal and brings some good features.

Paranoid Android is coming to the HTC One!!!

Hey guys!
According to https://plus.google.com/107979589566958860409/posts/8P9mVptPMF7 PA is coming to our HTC Ones!
I used this rom on my Nexus 4 and I loved it! As I switched to the One due to the lack of LTE on the N4,
I started missing those cool features such as the custom dpi, the pie and most of all Halo! I know there is
P.A.Cman rom, but Halo is not implemented yet..
You guys should definitivly give it a try when it's released. It's simply amazing!
i think there is already a test build in the tmo general section

Ok....NOW I might unlock my phone
Despise and have no use for Halo personally, but I loved PA on my N4. PIE was the best thing ever, only thing that made my N4 tolerable.
That said I don't see myself wanting to use pie now that I have a phone that has buttons again, though I most certainly will give it a whirl.
I absolutely love paranoid android Roms but I'm not sure if I can let go of sense5 right now... It's so damn good!

Same here. It's difficult to get excited about AOSP when Sense (with Xposed dpi mods) is nowadays so damn good.
Still love this on my Nexus 7 but there is no way I'm losing sense on my HTC one... Is too good
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I do love Sense 5 but tbh, I never use the features that it offers over AOSP and I always find that AOSP has WAY more productive features on the custom ROM side then Sense ever will, obviously its opinionated and as I said Sense 5 is awesome! But I prefer AOSP ROM's just due to simple things like Halo or even just the stock messaging app and stuff.
Aren't there already PA roms for the One?

There are roms that have incorporated parts of pa 3.15 but that's about it. Can't wait for the full fledged version/3.5/HALO
All you guys can head over to the other thread in the general section and test it out for the dev!
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I will definitely use PA & I'm totally exited and will even donate towards its development, but won't participate in the poll as it uses a word I don't like to use in its present context.

I like Sense 5, but the one thing that stops me from using it is that it doesn't support landscape on the desktop. Super aggrivating. The apps that will allow you to force landscape aren't good at all for Sense either.

we know android 5 KLP isn't about to be released but 4.3 is almost ready, it runs on the 9505 which has almost identical hardware as our one
If 4.3 is out in the wild for the GS4 GPE what's to stop a leak for the One? I kind of believe the rumor that the phones will ship with 4.3.
I hate the new camera interface personally.

Trying it out on my one today, I much prefer it to the Sense camera app.
Nothing to do with the HTC One, and links to the camera app are all over the HTC One forum. Thread closed.

My phone looks odd.

I just got this HTC one today it looks odd?

It would be the best smelling phone ever.
HTC and Glade should partner to form...
The HTC Glade!
...Or the HTC Air?
Whatever, it would smell devine, and be available in several scents.
