Sorry but this is not the official stock tar, My understanding from Millerboy3 its a stock rooted+busybox tar from millerboy device after a full reset + ota applied.
What I'm looking for is a stock tar from kies or Samsung.

In the next day or two it should be available on Kies, which will allow you to upgrade from stock rooted kitkat without losing data.

Ok

Correct.

Still waiting......
How long does this normally take.... I'm the laughing stock of all my friends.... i cant wait any longer!!!!
But seriously, this needs to hurry up and get here.

easiest method instead of waiting is use the NK2 stock tar with ODIN (it won't wipe your data) then do a system updat to bob7 LP 5.0.1. Next use CF-Auto root via ODIN to obtain root (yes 4.4.4 for SPrint variant works on LP) then ODIN Twrp 2.85. After this you can install any custom roms. I know there is 1 TW type that is very nice. I just installed it today. http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-sprint/development/rom-vision-x-s5-spr-5-0-1-t3052015

Be careful if u dont take the ota it wont ever boot

My Note 4 is rooted but that is it. Knox is disabled, so when i try and download ota it gives me the Knox error. Will going back to NK2 fix this or am i still stuck waiting on an actual Odin Lollipop?

To take the ota, you need to be on Unrooted NK2, just foash via Odin, reboot take ota then root via chain fire then odin twrp.
If you're already rooted ota is not going to work

Come on folks, this stuff takes time out of people's day, and work to get things copied and uploaded; the least you can do is click a button. I know that manners are a lost legacy, but people aren't obliged to do things - they do it from the kindness of their hearts, so at least show some thankfulness - some courtesy won't take any time, and certainly won't kill you; in fact, you'll actually FEEL BETTER FOR IT

What do you mean this update is for 176.x.x...?
I was getting errors with the 4.4.4 OTA through philz recovery.
So I downgraded to 4.3 and updated OTA to 4.4.2 - 176.44.1.en.GB(187mb) and then an update of (8mb).
Now i am on 4.4.2 and got 4.4.4 OTA 210.12.10.en.GB.

This mean, that this OTA archive is for version 176.44.1. This mean that you cant jump (for example) from 14.71.8 (Android 4.3) to 210.12.10 (Android 4.4.4) because you need OTA with name\version 14.71.8. When you apply it - you will have 174.44.9 (4.4.2, first update). With next OTA with name\version 174.44.9 you will have the last update for 4.4.2 (176.44.1), and so on.

I don't have root to pull the update from cache since my display has issues that I plan on getting a warranty replacement for
Still need someone to use ADB and grab the OTA for this. My wife's phone is not an option right now...

I agree. Memory management is significantly better than it was. No more Chromecast apps getting closed while running in the background. Still running it through the paced, but it looks much better.
Did any of you have TWRP installed prior to updating? If so, what did you do to get back to stock recovery? I received the update this morning, but can't install it because I have TWRP installed on my XT1063 variant.
Can someone extract and post the boot.img?

Thanks for the reply! But is there a simpler way? Maybe a way to flash it via fastboot? Because root doesn't seem to play too well with my device. Keeps getting bootlooped and i know it's supposed to bootloop with the recent versions of SuperSU but it just doesn't wanna boot up.
Assuming the modified boot image for Root on 22.11.6 will not work with the update, and also assuming the boot.img will be overwritten with the update..loosing Root..
So we will be at the mercy of someone compiling a new boot.img.?

I found that flashing SuperSU caused a bootloop as well and was about to give up. But then I did it one last time and wiped cache in TWRP after flashing it. That time it worked!
The method I linked to get stock recovery back requires root.
If you can find a download of stock recovery from some random website, you can flash stock recovery through fastboot with fastboot flash recovery nameoffile.img

[Q] how to downgrade lollipop to kitkat?

Hi. I have recently updated my note 3 N9005 Lte from Kitkat 4.4.2 to Lollipoo and also updated the BL,CSC,CP AND PIT File. Now is it possible to downgrade it back to Kitkat firmware? N9005XX...B7 BTU version ?
It's pretty simple.
1. Do the factory reset
2.Install KK via odin
3. Enjoy your KK
It worked for me on GNG1 ROM

I wouldn´t risk to do it like this. If you have updated the bootloader, I think you can´t just flash the KK via Odin. If you have updated the bootloader, there is no back to roll back. If not, you have still a chance.

do upgrade with odine?????
I tried downgrading using the Leaked Polish KitKat to no help.
First tried to downgrade using the original Australian one. It failed by Odin.
Then tried with a .PIT file and the corresponding Germany firmware, didnt work either. Phone wasnt even switching on, gave some error saying firmware update went wrong, connect to Kies... or something similar.
Just to see I reinstalled the Lollipop, It worked just fine.
Then saw about the Polish KitKat leak with all the BL/CSC/AP and all files, downloaded and tried.
For my joy, It installed just fine, but my joy ended when I booted into the OS, it was all buggy, network not working, constant app crashing, camera fail, and made me really scared when It showed that my IMEI number is NULL!! I thought Im so done....
Then tried the German KitKat with the Polish leak's Boot Loader (BL) file, it failed too.
Since I was so worried about the phone getting address-less (No IMEI, no other addresses) I tried reinstalling the Lollipop leak.
It worked again like a charm, and my IMEI n everything else is back.
So looks like Ill have to wait till we get an official Lollipop update, so I can get out of the leak.

UPDATE **Lollipop** 5.0.1 & 5.1.1 for N915G TESTED & ROOT

alright to not make previous visitors of the post confused, i changed the old post color to red, the new update is in Black at the bottom
Now the big news we were waiting for, Lollipop is here for N915G
you can download it from sammobile.com
Model SM-N915G
Model name GALAXY Note Edge
Country Australia
Version Android 5.0.1
Changelist 4144270
Build date Fri, 13 Feb 2015 23:58:14 +0000
Product code XSA
PDA N915GXXU1BOB7
CSC N915GXSA1BOB7
MODEM N915GXXU1BOB7
i've tested this on one of my Note Edge N915G phones and now after two weeks i can totally confirm i've got no bugs and it's super smooth and amazingly beautiful.
it's not on my main phone only because Xposed doesn't support TW Lollipop yet.
also Xmodgames doesn't work on lollipop (yet) for people who use it, especially the Clash of Clan players.
ROOT:
Get the Latest CWM from HERE
go to Download mode and flash the CWM
download SuperSU from HERE
put SuperSU.zip inside your phone
go to Recovery and install the SuperSU
reboot. DONE
UPDATE:
as you may know 5.1.1 is available on sammobile mine is N915GXXU1COL2
everything works fine. i also installed xposed and wanam. (only custom made xposed works and needs recovery installing too)
ROOT for 5.1.1 :
go to download mode and flash the latest TWRP via Odin.
go to recovery mode and install BETA-SuperSU-v2.64
reboot. DONE
i attached both here to make it easier
GOOD LUCK
Nice!
Woohoo!

No... You need the right model version for your 915T.
If you flash this you will end up with a bootloop and, as the bootloader will be upgraded, no way to get back to your stock firmware...
Any SM-915G can flash this irrespective of the location.

OK, go to the TWRP site, download the latest TWRP for Note 4 TMO. I believe it's 2.8.5.0. Make sure it's Odin flashable. Also download the latest flashable SuperSU zip file, 2.46, and put it on your sd card.
Flash Twrp with ODIN, let it reboot. If prompted, DON'T root.....
Now go to TWRP recovery and flash SuperSU. Reboot...
You are now rooted, enjoy... - If you go to SuperSU and it says to remove Knox then allow it.
Simples...

Yes, but who knows if this thing will ever see Marshmallow, but for at least the next year to year and a half, the vast majority of Android devices in the world will be running Lollipop, so I'm not terribly concerned about it.

I am ju... sniff... just so happy. Tears of joy...

I'm rooted, i have had it fail twice now and it won't check for the update for another 24 hours. It even downloaded and all, restarted, fail.
Sorry questions, but do I to format and then update.

If you're rooted, you'll need to wait for someone to make a flashable zip. You can't take an OTA.

Would formating let me do the OTA, as in would it unroot me? Im fine with losing everything and being unrooted.

No, it wouldnt. Formatting only wipes data and cache. Rooting modifies your system partition which is why the OTA is failing.

Holy crap is sammobile slow. You have to pay to get a decent speed. It limits it at 15kbs. Hopefully it will be done in a couple hours.
Thanks for the help, odin DL took all of 3 seconds. It's been a while since i've used it but i think i remember.

When you download the firmware, make sure you're using Odin 3.10.7. Unzip the file you downloaded (it's a .tar.md5 file in the zip). Then, in Odin, click on the "AP" button, select that .tar.md5 file, make sure the tablet is plugged in via USB, and flash away. It's that simple. Once you get the stock firmware flashed, you'll probably want to do a factory reset. Then the software update should go off without a hitch.
its doing its little thing after the flash. i noticed it still said custom android at the bottom when it got done. up next factory reset though. thanks again.

The status won't change until the newly flashed ROM boots up for the first time. Afterward, it should change back to official.
stupid thing is making me wait 24 hours!!!
