Kitkat 4.4.2 update for s4 i9500

Hello ...
About the new official update for S4 I9500XXUFNB3 I have 2 questions
1-If I have a rooted device with JB 4.3 and I flashed it , what happens ? the root access will be denied ? I think yes
and is there any root way ?
2- and this is the most important , I read that ART is not supported yet in this version , so should I wait it to be supported or it will not be available ?
Thanks

If you have a rooted device then you are not able to receive OTA updates and if you received and updated you will stuck in a bootloop so unroot then update and the reroot(not in same method)
And Yes if you update the firmware you will lose root.

if u flash a rom via Odin, and the rom is not pre rooted, then u always will loose root..
There's no need to unroot ur phone,as it automatically will loose root..
As for.rooting 4.4.2, once the rom gets out,so will its rooting methods...
if u want stable recovery,go for cwm
if u want recovery with more features,go for twrp..
What do I prefer?I prefer flashing rom via recovery, since chances of failure from that is slim..

[Q] Kitkat update with pure root?

Hello together,
I have a short question.
Would it be possible to update to Kitkat when i have rooted my G2?
I would only do a root like in this discribtion: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448887
No other Rom or costum recovery.
Thanks
yes
AFAIK, root access does not prevent OTA update success, but if you have a custom recovery installed, OTA update will fail.

XT1563 security update

Hi. I am running rooted MM6.0.1 version MDP24.107-52 on Brazilian XT1563.
Few days ago I started to receive security update message.
Is it safe to install it or it will brick my phone?
Thx
No, you'll brick it.. you need to be fully stock to install updates.
if only you have install TWRP or another recovery, you will brick
Thx . Any way to stop this annoying message ?
