[SOLVED] LG G2 D802 can’t unbrick from security error bootloop. PLEASE HELP! - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have international D802 where I have installed a custom rom based on android 4.4.2. Yesterday I wanted to upgrade it to an android 5 rom and and mistakenly installed a new custom rom that was builded for F320S. After reboot only the fastboot mode was displayed. Then I’ve tried to repair the download mode by flash the img files, but as I’ve verified later they was not intended for LG G2 D802 32Gb version. So now if I try to enter either the download mode or the hard reset / recovery I see only the LG logo with security error.
I’ve tried a different button-combinations. Please correct me if it was wrong.
For power off I’ve pressed the power button for about 15 seconds, wait until the logo is displayed then hidden then shortly displayed again and then the display is black.
For hard reset / recovery I’ve pressed press volume down button and power button together until the LG logo appears on the screen. When the LG logo is displayed, un-pressed the power button, but keep pressing the volume down key and then pressed once more the power button. Then the LG logo is displayed again, and then below was the security error displayed.
For download mode, I’ve pressed and hold the volume up button and connected the USB cable. But after some seconds the security error was displayed and the device manager in windows didn’t showed any changes.
Is it possible to recover the phone from the security error state? Any help would be appreciated.
EDIT:
Solved in following steps.
1. Open the phone like described here: LG G2 is UNBRICKABLE NOW!
It was not hard and you don't need any special tools, only a small screw driver. Look first this both videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15krGmydqgQ&feature=youtu.be and http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2582142. The do the steps till you can access the processor chip. Ensure the battery is disconnected. By disconnecting the both left and right plates be sure to separate it from the surface.
2. Connect the phone to the PC with USB cable. Open the device manager.
3. Short the test pins on the chips, see the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiofVOqfnxw with e.g. bent paper clip till you'll see the new QHSUSB qualcomm 9006 connection on COM port. Then you'll see a lot of windows messages about to format the new founded partitions. Close them.
4. Flash an images, like laf.img,aboot.img, boot.img from your phone model using export very partition see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_d5b_osUTug for details and files.
5. Now the download mode is available. Remove the usb cable, enter the download mode and flash a original stock rom for your model using the LG Flash Tool 2014.
Now your phone is unbricked!
Any questions?

sgh-i600 flashed to i607UCGD

hi there,
i bought this phone off ebay from someone who said i can reflash it to work.
it appears that the phone is realy dead.
The phone starts at&t splash appears, seems that it boots ok, however another splash screen appears saying GOODBYE and the phone powers off itself.
i tried to connect the phone on my PC with no luck. Used all the drivers and instructions through various forums but it appears that the phone is only found as "unknown device"!
When I try the Bootloader mode, I get :
*USB Downloader-Xcingular V1.2
[Phone] Active OFF
If i press left soft key + camera + power button, it boots into some other menu that has the windows moobile logo and on the very top it says:
Hit space or "0" to enter configuration
then if i press other buttons on the mouse it lists the following and after a few seconds it boots and powers off as in normal mode.
OEMLaunch BOOT Version : i607UCGD
INFO: Launch Windows CE .NET by jum
is there a solution to this stupid flash or shall i keep the accessories and battery and throw it in the garbage.
cheers
tio
Unfortunately no one has yet discovered a way to recover from this (flashing the wrong eboot to the phone)
If you are going to discard it, I would be willing to pay shipping etc. to see if I could resurrect it.
how would you go about doing that man?
i could resurrect it too if it was possible.
would a serial cable do the job?
is it the bootloader the problem?
is it that the phone cannot be recognized by the PC?
what is the problem here actually?

LG G2 D802 hanging in bootloop

Hello everybody,
I am an owner of an
rooted LG G2 D802. When i got the devide i used an Stock Rom from storagecow.eu (the Germany Open 16GB Kitkat D80220D_00.kzd). After that i rooted the phone and everything worked perfect for a couple of months.
But a week before the phone began to lagg extremely, so i decided to restart the phone. But after that I got stuck in a bootloop, without knowing what reason caused the trouble.
This is how it looks like when i get the bootloop.:
LG logo appears, LG Animation starts, blinking LG logo comes back and thats all. And the LED is blinking continuously in the colors green-lightblue.

I tried the following things:
Hard Reset
Only getting into the menue with the combination:
Power und Vol - untill the LG logo appears.
Power und Vol - releasing, then pressing Vol+ and Vol- untill Recovery appears.
Click to collapse
I navigate through the menue and then do a hard reset. After all is done the phone stucks at the bootloop again (LG Logo constantly showing up) and the LED is blinking in the colors green-blue.

Recovery Mode
Instruction:
Now, press the volume down and power button at the same time for 2 or 3 seconds until the LG logo appears on the display.
Then release the buttons and then press and hold them again.
Click to collapse
Result:
LG G2 turns off
Download-Mode
Pressing and holding Vol+ Key and then connecting it to my Win7 computer via USB cable.
Click to collapse
Then the LG logo appears and stays for a few seconds. After that it only shows the battery charging symbol. But there are some Windows sounds that pop up when you successfully connect some USB devices. But nonetheless it does not help me to fix my phone.
So please everybody help me to repair my lovely LG G2 smartphone

Hello!
If the LG Logo and then it only starts to charge the phone, then you're not entering download mode the right way.
Please follow this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
To enter download mode: Press and hold the power button for 12 seconds to turn off the phone.¨
Press and hold Volume Up and plug the phone into your computer.
NOTE: make sure you have the right drivers installed. Everything you need is listed within that guide!
Hi, thanks for info.
Today i tried everything again. This time i took a laptop with fresh installed Win7 64Bit, no Antivirus installed, all updates included and Visual C++ installed as shown in the thread. After that i downloaded the Stock Rom Germany Open 16GB KitKat D80220D_00.kdz, then i installed the drivers and reboot my laptop. Then i extract the Flash Tool.
Every piece of software i downloaded from the links listed in the thread.
And still i can not enter the download mode. First of all i ensure that the phone is off by holding the power button for 12 seconds after i try to start the phone. Then everything gets turned off.
I did this:
1) I installed visual C++, installed LG drivers, rebooted pc, extracted LG flash tool
2) Turn off the phone (12 seconds holding power button)
3) Plug in USB micro to Smartphone and keep pressing all time long the Vol+ key till the end of the process
4) Plug in USB to laptop and connect Smartphone with Laptop
5) Windows shows that drivers are being installed (it recognizes some USB connected to pc). After a while it shows the message that everything was installed correctly.
6) Simultanously the LG Logo appears on the phone and after a few seconds it only shows me that the phone ist being charged (100%-battery-status-symbol).
7) But on the phone there does not pop up the message "Download mode". And in Windows i cant see the smartphone mounted with a drive letter or anything similar to it. When i start the LG Flashtool and try to flash it, then it shows me during the recognition of the phone "the phone is disconnected from pc", so the Flashtool is not able to flash (because the phone does not seem to enter download mode).
Please help me to get my LG D802 back
I dont know what to do now.
Any suggestions?
Furthermore I ask myself if I just could buy a 32GB LG G2 with a broken display on ebay and replace the display of my 16GB D802 with the components of the new bought 32GB D802 (without boot loop)?
This I could do in the worst case if nothing else helps
Question B:
I have a LG G2 (D802) with 16GB with a Bootloop.
If I buy a LG G2 (D802) with 32GB with a broken display, can I replace the working display and all of its components with the broken Display from the D802 (32GB) so that i get a working 32GB-version of the phone?
So i want to start a repair to get my G2 back as soon as possible.
Can anyone please answer?
Question A:
Shall i record a video of me trying to enter the Download Mode of my G2?
What to do now
Is there nobody who has any suggestions on this problem?
Is the phone really that much messed up?
Edit: Nobody answered my questions, so i decided to call the LG support and to send the phone to their repair services. So the phone is sent to their repair services now. Lets see what happens.
Hi, the device has been repaired by the LG Electronics Support (technician Support)
"Failure: Swap Board (Main, RF): Impossible to Repair"
Replacement: PCB Assembly, Main, Refurbished Board + 1x Battery"
Thx for the support!
Hello, I'm having some of the same issues that you were having with your G2 and I'm debating on sending it back for repair.
However I was wondering how much it cost you for the repair or if the phone was under warranty? My phone is about 2 months out of warranty so I'm worried it will cost me more to fix it then to just buy a new phone.
Thanks for your help!

[Q] Bricked LG G2

Hello all,
I have successfully bricked my phone after I wanted to install TWRP on it via the app provided by GooglePlay store!
I have downloaded the app and selected my phone (model LG G2xx name - don't know if it was a mistake) and installed it; then the application asked me to restart the phone and enter the TWRP mode to install another CFW.
But to my surprise, the phone got a black screen and when I plugged it on my Windows 8.1 PC i got a lot of partitions asking to format to use.
I used Partager.info 's guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142) successfully under Ubuntu 14.04.1 but what I got was the LG logo without any animation or prompts.
The phone does not turn off either! I have managed to reset (turn off) the phone by pressing the power + volume down buttons at the same time but it keeps coming back. Also I have managed (after its automatic restart) to enter Download Mode (power + volume down to reset and then very quickly - before it starts - volume up + power button) using the FlashTool provided by hyelton as I have used before (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476) but the phone does not seem to be USB responsive on Windows or Ubuntu. I cannot see any devices in Device Manager or partitions in Disk Management. I only saw a "QHSUSB_BULT" hidden driver in Device Manager and I have uninstalled it to see if my PC finds the device again but nothing. I had the LG drivers preinstalled (LGUnitedMobileDriver_S51MAN312AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.12.3) but still no device detected.
I have also tried to quickly turn off the phone and before it starts to press the volume up and plug the USB on my PC to show the adb mode but again
please find me any way to sort this out, I had just recently replaced my screen, earspeaker and back cover

If you see many partitions, then you are in the 9006 mode. Make sure the 9006 drivers (and qhsusbbulk drivers too) are installed and follow my post here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-...lcomm-9006-t2939627/post57984541#post57984541

This is just an extremely detailed explanation of his method.
It uses windows, no ubuntu needed.
Don't thank me, thank @tungkick if it saves your phone.

[Unbrick] Soft-Bricked LG L7 (P700/P705) to Stock Firmware

Hello guys. Obviously, this is my first post. I did soft-bricked my LG L7 phone 2 days ago. I foolishly flashed a wrong ROM that was meant for L5 devices and the result was, when it rebooted, showed a blue screen. I searched for a solution but I can't find a direct answer.
Be sure to remove your sim and sd card before doing the steps below, just to keep things in order.
1. Download LG Mobile Support Tool from official LG website, install and run it as administrator. Wait for a while, it might take a minute to show up.
2. Put your phone in emergency mode: remove battery, press and hold volume up (+), then plug into computer using your USB cable. You will see a yellow screen with "emergency mode!!" on it. Then, immediately put the battery back.
3. Click "Install USB driver" in the LG Support Tool after your device has been detected. It will auto download and install the United Mobile Driver. Ignore other zip files that will pop-up.
4. Click "Options" then "Upgrade Recovery". If all is right, it will analyze your phone. It will also download and install the stock firmware of your device. Have a glass of wine first and wait it to finish its operation then close afterwards. Your device should reboot.
5. Unplug USB cable. Remove battery and after a minute reinsert it. Turn your phone on. If you're stuck on LG logo then proceed to the next step.
6. Do a HARD RESET:
1.Power off your phone
2.Press together with left hand volume down + power button
3.When the led of the bottom of the phone lights on,touch and hold the menu key with your right hand
4.When phone vibrates release power button
5.Release all the keys of the phone before Lg logo disappears
6.Wait until the phone restartsYou can also search for youtube on how to exactly do a hard reset.
That's it!
Hey guys, i had a complete hard brick a couple of days ago...tried everything nothing worked, eventually had to change the motherboard and now the 2nd sim card doesn't work, please help i have an lg optimus l7 ii p715 dual running root stock JB

Urgent help please........

My lg g6 H870 bootlooping again and again. Download mode is not coming. Factory reset not working.
Please help me.
I never had to do this with my G6, but to unbrick my old LG L9 i had to invoke Download Mode manually, instead of waiting for the flash tool (connected via ADB) to perform a reboot to Fastboot to perform the actual flash process.
That never happened after upgrading from Windows 7 to 8.1 and later, but i suspected the phone's no longer supported TI OMAP SoC to be the culprit.
If i remember correctly for the real Download Mode the phone had to be switched off and while keeping volume up or down pressed(and not power, but i'm not sure) you had to attach phone to usb and if you didn't accidentially release the button during that , the phone would power up into the special D/L mode, unlike Fastboot which would be used otherwise.
Then Windows and flash tool would recognize the phone. With the original LG recovery tool performing online recovery it then worked, while with the unofficial tools and a kdz file it was trial and error for no reason.
But LG's trusted flash tool is no longer supported on the G6 since the Android 8 update, you need the proper new tool(which cannot even deal with UHD screens unlike the old one).
(The original LG flash recovery tool and the inofficial ones can both initiate a reboot- to- Fastboot AND recognize D/L mode and hopefully the current tool, too.
And you can always try to invoke Fastboot by power and vol up or down, but that was no longer an option with the L9 back then)
