Are there good Android 4.4.4 Roms still being developed? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am having troubles with software not running on Lollipop, but I am relying on them due to methods and work.
So, Lollipop is not working for me.
Question:
Are there good Android 4.4.4 Roms still being developed?
Currently I have Slimcat installed, 4.4.4 development has stopped.
Second question: which kernel would be the "best"? Stability, features and battery.
Currently I am on latest AK.600. Running fine, but is there a better one? Android 4.4.4 with SlimCat

move to 5.0.2 now or wait?

Hi guys
I am currently at 4.4.4 CM11, M12.
I really like the system but have problems with audio, it is described in another thread and not point of this.
I am thinking of going to 5.0.2, perhaps Resurrection Remix.
One thing that hinders me is... an OS has to be stable and reliable (tell that Microsoft) so I used to wait a litte before moving onto a new version or even trying.
I am quite satisfied with CM, but I dont use a lot of the features.
No themes, no lockscreen customization, no ART. I use status bar customization, clock with date and so on.
Is it wise to move to 5.0.2 now?
Are all minor bugs fixed every new OS version has?
Is ART or Dalvik the standard machine?
5.0.1 is the latest official release for the N4, unless 5.0.2 came out this morning. At the moment, 5.0.2 is only out for the N7 2012. That said, I have been running 5.0.1 without issue, and phone runs like butter. I would recommend it.

Is there a tweaked stock TW 4.4.2 with security fixes being updated for i9505?

Is there a tweaked stock TW 4.4.2 with security fixes being updated for i9505 by any devs?
As Samsung won't do it (only for 5.0.1), there seems to be no up to date (security wise) ROM
for those who prefer 4.4.2. I can only see 5.0.1 and 5.1.1, which I somewhat dislike.
Look at the ROMs in the development forums. They're all for Android 5.x, so you might as well upgrade. Your next phone is going to have Android 5.x and even possibly 6.x on it anyway, so there's little point in holding out.

Lollipop 5.1.1 or Marshmallow 6.0.1

Hey guys
I want to ask you a few things, i have installed a 6.0.1 custom rom on my J500M, too nice but yesterday a picked up the J5 of a friend and it has 5.1.1 and it was "faster" that my installed custom rom.
The question is that what do you prefer
5.1.1 or 6.0.1??
Wich is faster??
What do you thing
I have J500FN. It doesn't have MM update and I won't use MM even if it would have because I don't need to change from 5.1.1.
If features from latest version can be achieved on previous one, then I don't see a point in upgrading as long as you're good with the actual version.
Performance of phone can be downgraded by using crap apps like Facebook, Messenger and so on. Also, Xposed can make the phone slow.
Latest android version doesn't mean always better.
My opinion.
Tnks, i´ll downgrade too lollipop, i decided because MM isn´t the best friend of tocuhwiz, i prefer lollipop touchwiz rom
I upgraded my J500H to 6.0.1. And after few days of use I downgraded back to 5.1.1. There isn't much new things in 6.0.1 and I felt that my device is faster in 5.1.1. So prefer 5.1.1 & again this is my personal view others may disagree with me.
Marshmallow has heating problem ...so I had to downgrade to lollipop after using it ...but I am sure that battery life of marshmallow is way better than lollipop
no heating issue whatsoever , great battery life . security updates to keep malware away. what else could you wish for

[Q] Ask about MIUI 8 port based on GPE 5.1 or TW 5.0.1 stocks.

Hello to all devs for i9505!
Can anyone make ROM based on lastest GPE 5.1 stock or TW 5.0.1 stock with MIUI 8 by patchrom tools? Why it's must be GPE or TW? Coz only stock roms are working properly and fully functional. There is no FCs, all sensors are working fine, no battery drains etc.
I have already tested a lot of Roms from 4.2 to 8.1 based on LOS/AOSP/TW/GPE and can say, that only LOS 4.x, GPE 4.x/5.x, TW 4.x,5.x is working fine. There are some bugs in AOSP/LOS from 6.x to 8.x such as non properly working sensors, camera (low bitrate, not working HDR etc.), microphone... It is good for testing, discovery something new in Android, but it is not good for daily usage.
The best choice for now (in my opinion) is using stock based Roms 4.x/5.x.
And I ask for devs - Can someone make MIUI8 rom based on lastest QG1 TW Rom or GPE 5.1 Rom?
P.S.
There are MIUI5 Roms based on TW 4.x or CM11 in the past by Shiro and Rainbow. I ask something similar but based on stocks 5.x Roms.

Would anyone compile a Android M based ROM?

We know that the stock rom for Z17mini is based on Android M, so I think it won't be too difficult to build a marshmallow based ROM
Indeed there are good many reasons for us to use the latest OS, and there are many new features on Nougat and Oreo, However the compatibility of Android N and O and much worse than that of Android M, and many powerful Xposed modules Like Appsettings ,Xprivacy just won't run for Nougat and Oreo, and there aren't any substitutes, and these XP modules are almost indispensable for me.
So I hope someone can compile a Android M based ROM and I'll be really appreciated
A cm13 would do fine
