I'm thinking of the development of modules, when it's finally released and all the Android community knows there will be a huge buzz and therefore, many developers involved!

great, more bugs to be reported by users that have nothing to do with the rom

Even if Xposed is coming to Lollipop soon, the dev had to make major changes and build the framework from the ground up due to ART. I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet since that means that the current Xposed mods probably won't work either until they are updated.

As long as i can use greenify

Be nice if all the modules still work in the ART version, but I'm not holding my breath. Also, the article claimed that their was not enough motivation from the community to inspire the dev's to work on it... I find that a little distressing. Guess they are not Nexus 6 fans.

The modules are not a big deal, even if they are incompatible devs would update them eventually.

You can use Greenify as long as you're rooted. You don't need Xposed.

Not the features of the paid version. It relies on Xposed

AOSP Theming on Rooted Stock Rom

This may be a stupid question, but is there any way to Theme Touchwhiz to match an AOSP look without having an De-odexed ROM? I have XPosed installed. I have Nova, but I would like the rest.
Thanks!

Not to hijack the thread but there is a chance I might end up with a Note 3 via crowd funding. I have been asked several times this weekend as safestrap is almost ready. Making TW into AOSP is my specialty.

AWESOME!! I used your rom exclusively on the s4! Liked it so much that I almost returned my note 3 to go back to your ROM on the s4! Ill hang onto the note 3 a little longer with hopes of this working out. If there is a link or something where others can help source the device definitely let me know.

You can do it without the note 3, this sounds like charity to me. Hashcode and many other devs do this because it's a passion. The only reason the note was donated to him was because the community got together so he can develope ss for our note 3 and to clean it up when Verizon changes the selinux to enforcing. If this sounds rude call me out, but I think this is toxic to development.

People ask me to build Eclipse for the device. It is impossible to do it without the device. You obviously have no clue what all goes into building a rom the way I do.
Let me be clear about this, I did not ask for this device nor did I have any intentions of getting this device. People enjoy the work the work I do on other devices and wanted the same experience on their Note 3.

I'm Coming To GN3 to Dev! I have a few questions

Hey guys! After finally finding out that i will be moving to Verizon (Finally after 4 years of T-mobile) i will be purchasing the Galaxy Note 3 and would like to begin development. First i want to say that i am very excited and thrilled to be able to develop for you guys! I do have a few questions so i can see how im going to plan out the development.
Is DSIXDA's Kitchen Supported for this GN3?
Any CM Builds Out There?
What do you guys want to see in a ROM?
It will be a couple of weeks before i will officially have the device in my hands but I am planning early. I do have ROM development skills and have a good background of it. (Check my signature for some of my work). I take pride in being one of the younger developers on these forums and its very cool to get to do what i do and enjoy it. Please help me by answering these questions for me. Also if there are any ROM devs that see this please comment or PM me because i would really like to get to know you! Thanks again guys!

Not sure what DSIXDA's Kitchen is.
No CM do to most of us having a locked bootloader, there's 20 people with the dev edition but most of us have retail and use safe strap to loads roms. (which I prefer anyway because of the multi boot)
I want to see something amazing
welcome to the party and verizon, you will amazed how good verizon service is, even though verizon is a d bag!!!!!

Oh i didn't know there were 2 different Note 3s. I haven't officially purchased the Note 3 yet but I do plan on buying it through Verizon with a 2yr contract. Do they offer the Dev edition with a 2yr contract? If so i will probably go with that one instead of the retail version.

It's called Eclipse (ROM); the developer is "Nitro." There's a bounty thread in the General forum. It's Touch wiz based but the look is AOSP, menus, apps, everything. Not just holo blue themed. (And still keeps touchwiz "S-features")

This. The only notes that would see this would be developer edition because of full recovery and working kernels. And yeah build one off stock kernel would be very impressive if it's even possible. Surprised nobody has even beta or alpha builds for any carrier though

DSIXDA Android Kitchen Support? Aroma support?

As of yesterday i have officially gotten the Galaxy Note 3 in my hands! With that being said i am now going to start development and try and get an awesome ROM out to you guys! Before i start i must know if DSIXda's android kitchen works with this device. And also if Aroma Installer is supported with this device. Really looking forward to start development and get a few Roms out there for you guys but i gotta know this first. Also feel free to let me know what you would like to see in a ROM, especially what kind of theme. My ROMs do have a history of having some kick a** sound mods in them so do expect that!

Why wouldnt you just build and test?
Same with Aroma.
Why not just try it?

well, your reasoning might be good. Is it the Samsung crapware on the bootloader? I am not being funny, it's just that your answer was very brief and I couldn't see whether you had done any dev work on your member profile. If you have a particular and valid reason I would be interested because I am just learning and atm trying to figure out how to complile a cm11 for n3 9005 model.

Received email from them today, but no apk.
Dear Jolla Launcher tester candidate,
Thank you for your interest in the Jolla Launcher Alpha test program! With over 13 000 requests in, we are positively overwhelmed by all the support from the community.
Although we hugely appreciate all the requests, the number of testers for the Alpha phase is limited to 600. This is to ensure we can handle and act upon all the feedback we receive. If you’ve been selected as one of the first 600 Alpha testers, details will have been sent to you in another email. If not, no worries as the Beta phase is just around the corner and you’ll be invited to be a Jolla Launcher Beta Tester.
Please follow the tag 'jolla-launcher' on together.jolla.com to either report your feedback (if you're in the group) or to follow the progress of the Alpha testing. For the reporting, please stick to together.jolla.com, so that we can better handle all the feedback.
In the meanwhile, keep an eye on more upcoming news on Jolla’s global market expansion - we can't wait to announce that!
Thanks again!
Best Regards,
Jolla Team

I got chosen to test Jolla launcher alpha. Guess i got lucky! It works well but of course is a little buggy. Love the lock screen.

Added link to the APK to the first post.
I would be cautious. Since there limited alpha testers must mean that Jolla can only handle so much. That's why i am not uploading it yet

What android version do you have? It might not work on Android L. (I have a mod installed to switch soft keys appearance to that of L's, so don't get confused by that.)

Well someone was going to do it sooner or latter. If they really wanted to limit testers, then they should've picked people from their own company and made them sign NDA.

Mine is running CM 4.4.2. Did you try re-installing it, or clearing app data?

Sprint is a sleeping monster in the network department, so I'm not sure why the smart people aren't here more.

Ill probably get bashed for this question. I think it is a viable question.
Where are all the developers for Sprint note 4. T mobile has 8 roms already. Is sprint the red headed step child that noone wants to mess with? Im just curious.

CDMA is trouble and less and less people are developing for this technology. Whereas T-Mobile being GSM it can use international ROMs, and with a few tweaks become a T-Mobile branded ROM.
So maybe it is time for new people to learn to develop and be the next developer everyone is talking about on Sprint.
Makes sense. Thanks. I was just curious. I went to look at t mobile variant and seen all the development. I hope i didnt sound ungrateful to the current developers on note 4. I was wondering why one variant would have so many and one would have so few.

I am pretty surprised on the amount of downloads for my camera mod, I really do wonder how many people are on sprint
Patience bud. ..i just got my hands on this bad boy. ...and conveniently enough my job is going from 7/12s to 5/10s so I'll have a little extra time on my hands. ..not making any promises just yet but I'm definitely going to give it a go
Thanks to root and xposed, roms have become less and less everywhere. Mod ur own with a stock deodexed rom with xposed and tweak to your own liking...simple.

No disrespect to the talented DEVs and big props to all the custom ROMs. I've been able to mod mine to my liking just using Xposed and tweaking.

Just curious on which modules you use for your note 4 to customize everything. I'm looking for battery icons and center time

I use wanam for center time, amongst many other tweaks within that one module alone.
XUI mod is my favorite I like having the seconds in my time ?

Using Wanam for most settings and playing with App Settings.
Probably because lollipop is around the corner so no point in dev'ing for kitkat.

Xposed has really put a damper on things... rendered most of my mods back in the day useless. Luckly though you cant mod the deep coded files of certain files so im happy about that
I can't wait to see a clean custom rom without any xposed, i just don't like exposed mods
Sent from my SM-N910P using JellyBombed Tapatalk 2
Exposed will never beat a good custom rom. EVER. That is my oppinion. Anytime I have ever used exposed (on any phone) issues seem to creep up. A good custom rom is the way to go. So the devs are the best.
By the way......i do know what they say about oppinions...[emoji6]
