DSIXDA Android Kitchen Support? Aroma support? - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As of yesterday i have officially gotten the Galaxy Note 3 in my hands! With that being said i am now going to start development and try and get an awesome ROM out to you guys! Before i start i must know if DSIXda's android kitchen works with this device. And also if Aroma Installer is supported with this device. Really looking forward to start development and get a few Roms out there for you guys but i gotta know this first. Also feel free to let me know what you would like to see in a ROM, especially what kind of theme. My ROMs do have a history of having some kick a** sound mods in them so do expect that!

What was wrong with the first thread you started about this?

If you have the device why do you need to know if the kitchen works?
Why wouldnt you just build and test?
Same with Aroma.
Why not just try it?

Well whenever you spend a good bit of $$ on a device and you just "play" around with it.. its not worth just trying without having knowledge because i dont want to lose an expensive device lol.

well, your reasoning might be good. Is it the Samsung crapware on the bootloader? I am not being funny, it's just that your answer was very brief and I couldn't see whether you had done any dev work on your member profile. If you have a particular and valid reason I would be interested because I am just learning and atm trying to figure out how to complile a cm11 for n3 9005 model.

I'm a note 2 device maintainer for aokp but that's irrelevant. Locked bootloader + no way to flash kernels + no loki/kexec type option = no aosp roms of any kind. Don't waste your time.

The rom that is posted in that forum is the one i'm running now, no special instructions just need to straight flash.
The modem/radio files were removed to enable the rom to be flashed on all carriers.

If i know coding i really gonna make best rom

I dont know modding or codding i only love modification ... if some one give me best tutorial for modding or making rom i gonna try my best and really make a best rom....

There are plenty of Java Tutorials in the Internet. I guess you should read them first. Im also pretty sure that there are some tutorials about roms on XDA. You can find all of it just by using the search tool.

If you don't even know how to search for the needed info yourself without asking, you've got ZERO chance of making the "best ROM".
Most "developers" are just "modding" or replacing stuff with winzip. If you like stock but with some other theme and couple of mods this is your way togo. I myself am not very fond of this method an skip these roms. Personally im keeping my note stock till an official MIUI or CM rom arrives.

Just my 0.02, but it is possible, and the fact that the One and S4 have the same processor would make it even easier than my port was

And porting it for this device one would need to start fresh, because you can't port proprietary UIs using a guide.

No problem haha Since I couldn't find the Stock Rooted Deodexed 4.2.2 zip for the HTC One, I'm using a rom that's nearly complete stock called Android Revolution as a base. Those were pretty major bugs, and cross-chip winzip ports ALWAYS fail to go much further than "boots to lockscreen".

I'm Coming To GN3 to Dev! I have a few questions

Hey guys! After finally finding out that i will be moving to Verizon (Finally after 4 years of T-mobile) i will be purchasing the Galaxy Note 3 and would like to begin development. First i want to say that i am very excited and thrilled to be able to develop for you guys! I do have a few questions so i can see how im going to plan out the development.
Is DSIXDA's Kitchen Supported for this GN3?
Any CM Builds Out There?
What do you guys want to see in a ROM?
It will be a couple of weeks before i will officially have the device in my hands but I am planning early. I do have ROM development skills and have a good background of it. (Check my signature for some of my work). I take pride in being one of the younger developers on these forums and its very cool to get to do what i do and enjoy it. Please help me by answering these questions for me. Also if there are any ROM devs that see this please comment or PM me because i would really like to get to know you! Thanks again guys!

Not sure what DSIXDA's Kitchen is.
No CM do to most of us having a locked bootloader, there's 20 people with the dev edition but most of us have retail and use safe strap to loads roms. (which I prefer anyway because of the multi boot)
I want to see something amazing

It's called Eclipse (ROM); the developer is "Nitro." There's a bounty thread in the General forum. It's Touch wiz based but the look is AOSP, menus, apps, everything. Not just holo blue themed. (And still keeps touchwiz "S-features")

Haha that sounds like my GE-Wiz ROM from the Galaxy Note 2. I love the look of AOSP and the features/performance of stock. Now its time for new ideas for a ROM lol. He stole it from me xD. Got any ideas?
Aww man lol. Whenever Aroma gets supported i will go insane with it. My code in my GN2 ROM is so long its not funny haha.

I want to see you make a cm build based off of our stock kernel. That's the only way aosp roms can work with this device if you build it from the ground up.

This. The only notes that would see this would be developer edition because of full recovery and working kernels. And yeah build one off stock kernel would be very impressive if it's even possible. Surprised nobody has even beta or alpha builds for any carrier though

Super minimum and light for fill performance. ALL PERFORMANCEEE! A bare minimum ROM with an aosp them would be great since we can't use aosp Roms

I run Windows 8 and do not run linux at all. I used to work with AOSP builds and it never worked for me. I can do theming and such but no actual CM or AOSP builds.
