any idea how to fix?
at least before that it booted

I think it's meant to fail on the hidden partition if my memory serves me right, remember reading that somewhere
After flashing, boot to recovery, factory reset

Try with PIT file.
Are you sure that this is H variant and ROM which you want to flash is proper?

Can you link to a pit file?
It says h on the back and if it wasn't the Odin would have failed much sooner

[Solve] the problem of installing the ROM program odin

Hello my friends, how are you all
I present to you a simple explanation to you suffers from spam in odin
For example:
Code:
complete write operation failed
Odin flash fail
<ID:0/025> Initialzation..
<ID:0/025> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/025> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/025> system.img
<ID:0/025> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/025>
<ID:0/025> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<ID:0/025> Added!!
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
The simple solution is to follow the following steps:
1-The installation program Odin3 v3.07
2-Enter the download status And connect the phone to the computer
Then open the program Odin
3-We download the file PIT
4-And sail on this phone to correct some errors and keep in the PIT box in Odin
5-We work to Wipe factory
6-We install from four files
I9500XXUAMDE_I9500ODDAMDC_INU.zip
7-After we wipe factory And restart the phone.:good:
And here we have the explanation and I hope I succeeded the explanation Greetings everyone
Thank you friend, looks very useful!

Why are you messing around with the PIT file?
This is the easiest way to brick your phone if the pit file you use is corrupt or not for your phone. And I'm not talking about soft brick thats recoverable... You will have a brand new $600+ paperweight...
All you need to flash is the rom file (must be either .tar or .tar.md5) in PDA, make sure repartition isn't ticked and flash...
Also make sure KIES is NOT RUNNING...
If you have the new firmware, MH8, then this definately WON'T work...
I have the same problem but the solution does not work

simply go to http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/2/
download your latest firmware and flash via odin
1. do no check RE-PARTITION option..leave it with auto-reboot and F.reset time (DEFAULT option)
2. flash only PDA file or single file downloaded from sammobile

My note 3 failed during odin firmware update to KitKat 4.4.2

Now I can’t install firmware or go into recovery mode but I can still get to download screen.

Hi trubster, I've reset odin and my phone into download mode several times. The odin update process starts off ok but always fails when it reaches 'SYSTEM'.

What message is ODIN giving in the white text box?
have you tried re-downloading the ROM? I used the MEGA link and it worked fine.
N9005XXUENA6_N9005OXXENA5_XEO.zip is the one you need if it is for the N9005, you need the stock 4.4.2 FW before you can put CFW on

That file seems to be different, are you using a N9005?
https://mega.co.nz/#!jZYkyY5a!HfiJlXRgp_ZGWoQncFNWeEn5FnY_0i9iFb23EGfg2Nk
Thats the file I used first, put it in the PDA or AP box on odin and click start.
Should have no problems with it as it is an "Official" Sammy Rom
If you have a Hong Kong note you need to have a read around, If not, grab XEO firmware flash via odin 1.85 or 3.07

I didn't experience this on my N9005 while updating, but I experienced this before on my S3, it was due to corrupted firmware file.

I assume the phone is a gt-i9500.
I recommend trying TWRP as I think TWRP is more compatible with custom ROMs.
Can You Give ME GT-I9500 Latest TWRP Recovery Download Link Please ?
I asked about wether the phone is an i9500 because I see that model number in the tar file name.
Twrp for the various devices can be found here: https://twrp.me/Devices/
I believe the i9505 is the international version of the snapdragon 600.

From what I heard, aboot.mbn errors are caused by the attempt to flash an older bootloader (downgrade).
Flashing older firmwares than the one currently on your phone will result in a fail.

Obviously flash the same or newer firmware.
Another way?
Boot into download mode and confirm the phone's model #.
ROMs for the i9505 are here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-I9505/
How? Where can confirm when you get into Download Mode , my country is Serbia I'm here and downloaded firmware , and what we are now talking about here ?
Sorry for bad English
Give us all the info displayed in download mode.
