[Q] Download Mode Not Working, Stock ROM With a Broken Root [ZVE, 4.4.2] - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I bought my phone used and am trying really hard to fix a broken root that's on the device.
It's a Sprint LS980 with the latest ZVE update. Rootchecker fails, and the SuperSU app is unable to update the binary. StumpRoot will not run as it thinks the device is already rooted.
The phone is on stock recovery. My plan was to flash the stock ZVE firmware/ROM using a .tot, however this is impossible until I can get download mode working...
Any help would be very much appreciated, I really want to get this phone sorted out.

Bumping up, I'll be working on this more tonight since I'm working graveyard shift at an IT helpdesk. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Bricked LG G2 Tmobile D801

I think i have bricked mine and hoping the community can help me. I was installing a new rom ([VDT-ROM] V11.5 Super Lite) for my variant, and when i completed the installation, It somehow removed my recovery and couldn't boot. Now when i try to do a restore using the restore to stock procedures it will not let me because the current version says d80210f i believe. when it does allow me to get to restore that version, i am unable to get to the settings to apply root and recovery cause the screen when you touch it cant sense my finger and its acts Totally weird. I have read some ppl have had this issue but i am unable to find a way to fix this. SO please anyone that knows a way to help me get my d801 back to stock from the wrong version. if anyone needs more details let me know.

No OTA updates after restore to Stock Firmware

Hey all,
Having a small issue with my Verizon LG G2.
When I first got it on launch, I rooted it, installed loki (to bypass the locked boot loader) and have been running custom ROMs.
This is the way I ahve been running it since, on 12B, with loki and CM11.
Before I installed custom roms I did a image backup using Clockwork.
Yesterday I bought a Droid Turbo, so it was time to restore the G2 in preparation for sale.
I attempted to restore my original backup of the stock image, but it failed (stating something about an inability to restore/system, resulting in a soft bricked phone.
I fixed this by downloading the LG Flash tool, and the stock 24A .kdz image, putting the phone in download mode and flashing it.
The LG flash tool seemed a bit buggy, complaining about not finding servers, but eventually flashed the phone with the .kdz.
Everything seems to have worked well. Root is gone, clockwork is gone, (and I assume loki is gone as well, but I can't tell) but now I can not do the latest OTA updates, and am stuck on 24A.
It's not that it downloads the OTA, and then fails to install it, but rather it complains that it is unable to download the updates at all.
I was thinking this might have something to do with the fact that the CDMA radio is now unactivated (since I got a new phone) and it somehow needs to verify with the Verizon network prior to downloading, so I grabbed a working SIM and popped it it in. Even with 4G via the SIM, the OTA downloads don't succeed.
Does the CDMA radio need to be activated in order for a phone to receive OTA updates? If not, I ahve something else wrong going on, and would appreciate any suggestions regarding fixing it.
The plan was to sell the LG G2 to pay for my Droid Turbo upgrade, but I don't want to sell the phone to someone if I think it may be having issues.
I would appreciate any thoughts and suggestions from you guys!

[Q] D801 root lost after recent OTA from TMobile

All,
I need help re-rooting my phone. I had a stock recovery, rooter phone (to remove/ disable bloat). I received an update from TMobile (the version is still 4.4.2, but build is now KOT49I.D80120g. I could not stop it from applying the update and my phone lost root. I'm now unable to find a way to root it again. Towelroot does not work (your device is not supported) and ioroot says it does not work on 4.4.2.
Please help with what could I try.
Thanks a lot in advance.
wondering if you ever found the solution,. i am on that build as well.
even worse is i can't get into download mode to go back to an older version and install a custom recovery.

Working Fine! Stock Firmware! No download or Recovery Modes?

Hi. Hope you guys can help.
I have the verizon LG G2 32GB running stock kitkat firmware.
I can't get the OTA for 5.0.2 despite being released earlier in March. I get the message "We were not able to download update" when i check for software update.
Tried to flash manually, and was surprised to find out that i can't access neither download nor recovery modes. Phone normally boots when i try to enter either one.
Is there a way to fix the issue (i.e. get the OTA or at least fix the download mode?)
Thanks a lot.

[Q] T-Mobile Galaxy S5 Root Lost After Phone auto-updated

Hey Guys, I'm brand new to these forums, and to this whole community so bare with me.
Basically I bought my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S5 phone around the time it came out, and I also had installed root on it via towelroot when Towel Root was first released. I did not update the phone at all for a long period of time and everything was working fine, until one day I was browsing under settings and accidentally tapped the "Software Update" button, then T-mobile auto-pushed an update onto my phone.
This update has caused the root on my phone to not work at all (Deemed useless) So I clicked SU and only a black screen popped up when I tried to open the app, so I uninstalled it, reinstalled it then got a message saying "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU Cannot install it. If you just upgraded to Android 4.3 you need to manually re-root your device" So I tried to re-root via towelroot method again. It seems the T-mobile update made my phone "Unsupported/Uncompatible" with TowelRoot's obsolete techniques, so now I'm in dire need of help.
My phone tried to push another t-mobile update (This time to upgrade to Lollipop) but it failed after attempting to install it after a reboot. So not only will my phone not update to Lollipop, but I'm not even rooted anymore and am unsure on how to get back rooted, or what to do next since I used rooting as a primary source to store apps on my SD Card. Kind of like i'm stuck in one spot? (Can't update your phone/can't root it the old method)
I'm brand new guys, Please can you break down to me what I should do, in order to obtain root again, and possibly be able to upgrade to Lollipop As well as prevent further pushed T-mobile updates? Here's some info if you need it
S5 Model Number: SM-G900T
Android Version:4.4.2
Kernel Version:3.4.0-262.. etc. (Tell me if you need the full kernel details)
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank YOU!
Flash this with ODIN

(Will trip KNOX and void warranty)
Or flash a pre-June 2014 KK Kernel, root with Towelroot again, then flash back your current Kernel
Is this the only solution? And also is it the right one? o.o
Can anyone else please give me some feedback on the situation? I want to make sure I do this right, please just a little helps.
