You need to replace the AMXPR firmware with your region one. Copy paste modem and sfg.bin from your firmware to the modem folder also. And it works.

When replacing files with the ones from your region pay attention if your firmware system image files are sparse chunks or system.img if the latter edit script and delete all "fastboot flash.... sparsechunk.x" commands there are 5 from 0 to 4 and add this one instead "mfastboot flash system system.img" and save it.

The rom "NIIBR_XT1097_4.4.4_KXE21.187-30.3_cid12_CFC.xml.zip" works on a Moto X 2014 2nd generation BRAZIL? If this works, I need to do something else at the time of flashing the rom? Thanks.

AFAIK you can use any Moto X 2nd Edition Brazil or XT1095 ROM as long as you use the correct baseband.

Thanks

You can use it on any Moto X 2nd Edition device you only need to replace AMXPR folder contents with your carrier firmware files. And put a copy of your carrier firmware modem files on the modem folder to replace with yours too.
Pay attention to firmware if it's using system as sparsechunks don't need to edit batch.

It's very kind of you to share the XT1032 OTA,thank you!. I would have thought you might have added some additional thoughts and suggestions for installing the OTA. A mirror for the BR 4.4.4 would have been helpful too,as many users are on other 4.4.4 firmware.

For those like myself that don't read Portuguese, here's the Google translation of the tutorial:
Download the required file and copy the OTA to the device's internal memory.
Now the device, go to Settings> About Phone> System Updates.
Will the message of a new update found. Just confirm and start the update.
The device will reboot and start the update process, just wait for the process to finish.
When finished, the device will restart and voila, you are using the final version of Lollipop 5.0.2
Obstructive advise after making the upgrade to Lollipop, go Configure> Backup and Reset> Restore Factory Data and confirm. So you can avoid getting bugs or possible traces of KitKat files.
(Warning: this will erase everything that is on the device, including in internal memory, save your stuff on the computer before doing this).
Okay, now just set the machine, put your Google account and finally enjoy the official Android Lollipop.
Thanks, do I need to rename the file to "210.12.40.falcon_umts.Brasil.en.BR.zip" ?

I'm currently installing the downloaded OTA. There seems to be more than one way to install it. In my case,I'm installing it in recovery and so far,so good. There's no need to rename the file. You could also use the alternate method to install, which is to check for updates in the settings. I had to download the BR 4.4.4 firmware first, made a mistake and downloaded the wrong 4.4.4 the fist time and was getting errors while trying to install it in recovery. The wrong firmware will not give an available update from the OTA in memory from settings. Be careful if you're downloading the firmware,it must be the exact XT1032 BR 4.4.4 firmware as stated in the OP.
For those looking for the 4.4.4 ROM you need for this OTA:
Goto http://goo.gl/kKhvtj and download "XT1032_RETAIL-BR-SS_4.4.4_KXB21.14-L1.40_42_cid12_CFC_1FF.xml.zip"
You should be able to follow these instructions to flash it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219
You device should then be ready to update using the OTA file

Try doing a factory reset after flashing OTA. Mine its running smoothier than with 5.0.1 GPE.
I have the US stock rom in my phone, can I install this Br stock ROM and the return to U S stock when this are released??
I'm on GPE Lollipop, what is the procedure I should follow to install this?
I have an issue, i downloaded the 4.4.4 required for this OTA, flashed, copied the OTA to the SDCARD of the phone and then tried to update but it keeps saying that i'm up to date.
I'm missing something?
EDIT: It's necessary to Update Motorola OTA app from Play Store in order to recognize the ZIP in the SDCARD

I've just installed on mi XT1058, my device is from CLARO Peru, but it was running a 4.4.4 brasilian firmware. Everything seems to be working well. Just wanted to let you guys know .
So jealous. Really want it.
Have a xt1052 retail GB 4.4.4, would this work for it? Bootloader has been unlocked. Was originally xt1052 O2.de.
What does the "de" stand for? Deutschland or dev edition. Box language is in german. Would having changed to retail GB be better for getting official 5.0.2 update?
you have to be root and move the file to the internal memory?
this does not imply a stock recovery ?
I have the XT1058 model running stock 4.4.4 KK, but it's rooted and I'm using the TWRP, does I need the stock recovery or unroot the phone?

I followed the instructions and flashed to 'XT1058_RETAIL-BR_4.4.4_KXA21.12-L1.26_52_cid12_CFC_1FF', then 'Blur_Version.212.44.26.ghost_row.Brasil.en.BR.zip' (e.g. 5.0.2).
Note, I unlocked my bootloader with Sunshine when I was on 4.2.2 - if you're on 4.4.4, then as far as I know, there's no way to do it.

And why can´t you post that in the Firmware thread ?

I guess you are not an Motorola official right, or in any case related to Motorola, to bring us fixes or tell them what´s not working and so on ?
If every country get its OTA and you make for every OTA an own thread... how pointless is that ?
No offense but this section is for custom ROM development mainly and not just for simple firmware updates without active support, IMO ^=^

It's better than talking about this in CM12 thread like they were. I find that extremely disrespectful. You get somebody willing to put that much work into our device and then people like this were posting in his thread with instructions on stock 5.1, which will be crap regardless. You won't have a bricked device (The firmwares, between the XT1039, XT1040 etc. seem to be interchangable), the modem of the device won't work however. Meaning that whatever variant of the peregrine (aside from the XT1040) you flash this on, you'll only have WiFi functional

No, it will fail. You have to wait for the OTA. But I doubt claro will get it, claro and motorola had a fight, and now claro does not sell motorola phones... which means claro's motorola phones might not get updates ever.

No, flashing this OTA will not revert your phone back to stock 1097. You need to download the full firmware for 1097 and flash it to get back to stock.

I don't think this is the official release because the kernel is one month older than the other "official" OTA's. Looks more like the soak before the final release.

Do you know where can I get it?

México, and I bought it directly to Motorola, so no carrier.
Does it work for 22.21.25.victara_retla.retla.en.01?
Thanks!

Yes, the firmware for mexico is in that link. Here it is:
The instructions should be similar to what is posted in other topics. But if you want to be on the safe side use RSDLite to flash it.

Thanks, i'll download for a future flash :good:
I got the same update yesterday but It doesn't let me update it says there is an error when trying to update.
I tried from stock recovery and it says there is an error with gmail2.apk anyone know why is this happening?
A similar error happened to me yesterday, but with "Books.apk". I flashed again the stock rom with RDSLite and then I flashed the OTA (the zip file from the 1st post) and everything is working great now.
Can I use it? 4.4.4 telcel.

If you're already on the stock 5.0 firmware (22.21.17.victara_retmx.retmx.en.MX), then you just need to flash the OTA via recovery.
If you don't know how to enter the recovery, just search for instructions, they're pretty easy to find, even videos.

As I said, this is not the final/stable version. Look the date of the kernel, is 2 months old and the "official" versions out there are not more than one month old. Good it worked for you

[Guide] [Stock] (Oreo available) Moto G5 updates - Download & install

What is this?
First of all, hi everyone
I decided to try my best to archive all the possible OTA updates (paths) that a Moto G5 (cedric) users can take.
With the various risks of clean / factory flashes in mind, I thought that some users might prefer using ZIPs to update their device instead. These can prove to be especially useful if your Moto is on a Software Channel that gets very little updates, or if you have no SIM card inserted as that often breaks updating capabilities.
As of now 29 unique OTA files are in the archive, starting from the earliest software version I could find online. The ZIPs are hosted on Google Drive, if you know of a better location then feel free to drop a suggestion. Along with that, any type of feedback for this archival project is welcome. If you or any of your friends own a Moto that is not necessarily a G5 and are stuck on an older firmware, I'll try to do my best to find an upgrade path that would work. Thank you for your attention and I hope you appreciate this.
Where do I get the OTA files?
retail Moto G5: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1BkpfHvgQ477NViLYvzgv88Fgq3SSt5Py?usp=sharing
amzin Moto G5: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Lj8uwBI4tR4v5I_hl74SVW21Fmg0qc0E?usp=sharing
What do the ZIP file names mean?
Along with the ZIPs, there's a file called "BlurBuildList.txt" in the Google Drive folder which shows you the relation between Blur_Version and regular Build Numbers.
Let's say your phone currently runs NPPS25.137-93-2-3 and you want to update to NPPS25.137-93-2-5
In the TXT file, you can see that
NPPS25.137-93-2-3 corresponds to Blur_Version.25.331.5.cedric.retail.en.US
NPPS25.137-93-2-5 corresponds to Blur_Version.25.361.10.cedric.retail.en.US
In this case, you'll want the file called block_delta-ota-Blur_Version.25.331.5-25.361.10.cedric.retail.en.US.zip
Sometimes you'll need to use multiple files to get the desired version, for example if you are on Blur_Version.25.311.3.cedric.retail.en.US you would need to use 2 files to update to Blur_Version.25.361.10.cedric.retail.en.US.
Why? Because block_delta-ota-Blur_Version.25.311.3-25.361.10.cedric.retail.en.US.zip doesn't exist but these two do:
block_delta-ota-Blur_Version.25.311.3-25.331.5.cedric.retail.en.US.zip
block_delta-ota-Blur_Version.25.331.5-25.361.10.cedric.retail.en.US.zip
How do I install these?
Method 1 - ADB Sideload
Boot your phone to recovery mode
Connect your phone to your PC
Select "Apply update from ADB"
On your PC run
Code:
adb sideload <path to ZIP file>
Method 2 - SD card
Put the ZIP on your phone's SD card while it is in Android
Boot your phone to recovery mode
Select "Apply update from SD card"
Navigate to where you put the ZIP and select it
If you found this thread useful and/or helpful, a Thanks is much appreciated :highfive:
Thank you very much!

Thank you for the tip I've uploaded the ZIP and updated the TXT as usual. This particular version is 25.321.18 (NPPS25.137-93-12) which is older than the previously found 25.331.5 (NPPS25.137-93-2-3) though, at least that's how it appears in terms of build numbers.
If there's interest I can also upload OTAs for the amzin variant too
I could not install any or I have the original clipping of my compilation which is NPP25.137.82 si alguien me pudiera ayudar gracia

How can I install these updates (Twrp or stock recovery)???
You need to use stock recovery, the TXT in the Drive folder should help you pair the Blur versions in the filenames to the Build versions you see in your phone's About page in Settings
Can you please upload the OTAs for the amzin variant too?
Thank you in advanced. ??
Hi, do you know if you can publish the soak test for the Moto G5 cedric, looks that in brazil is available the oreo version

If you could give me a serial number from a G5 that got a soak test then I’d gladly upload the ZIP
