I have found that it works in regular handheld mode (when the top of the text is near to the side of the phone) but does not work properly in "desktop mode" (when the phone is on a table with the screen off and you rub the edge to turn only it on).
In "desktop mode" the top of the text is near the main screen (the same orientation as the night clock). In this mode the CNN edge panel shows no text and half of the logo is missing.

I installed it but didn't find it useful as I thought I would considering I couldn't customize it the way I wanted to ?

There is an update on Galaxy Apps for the CNN edge panel. They have fixed the "desktop mode" , it now displays the text and logo properly.

For some reason I cannot get mine to display anything. It just says loading.

Switch from small to full screen

I've heard that non-tab apps can run in full screen in 3.2. I already unchecked compatibility mode in spare parts. Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing?

When using an app that wasn't designed for a tab you should see four arrows making a little box on the status bad near the clock, press this and select "Zoom to fill screen"
Personally I think it is pretty useless..

Yeah, me too...when most apps (designed for a small screen) are automatically strected to fit the screen (and no icon is shown)
(like: Magic 8 Ball -> market.android.com/details?id=org.korilla.eightball)
This app's orientation is portrait and, prior to 3.2, would take up the very top portion of the screen; after 3.2, this app is now full-screen/portrait with no compatibility icon showing on the bottom status bar.

Pulling down notification bar problem!!!

Hi you all!
I'm so disappointed that after months there's still no stand-alone app which is able to pull down the notification bar and the quick settings of my device since the Lolliflop upgrade. I've downgraded once (was forced to upgrade again), contacted developers, today Samsung's customer support. What's left to do? Do I really need to downgrade once again? Is it really that hard to write an app like this?! Where are the developers?! Please help!
Many greetings

My suggestion would be factory resetting it.
Is there an app that does this on kitkat? Can u point me in the right direction?

Unfortunately they don't work in landscape mode for Note edge. .. [emoji20]
Any ideas to fix?
Really? Well, in landscape mode you can reach the status bar anyway much easier.

Not on note edge... there is no status bar in landscape mode....
This is good because space isn't wasted when for example u r using navigation...
But it would be good to be able to get notification bar down from the edge so that location can be turned on quickly when using navigation...
Thought this app would do it... but only works in portrait.
Can't you just swipe down from the top? What am I missing?
This: one hand use!

Swipe from the middle right edge to the center of the screen and back. It should shrink the screen for one hand use.
Thank you, but I know this gesture already. ?
Conceding defeat on this one. ...
I have the key features I need as shortcuts on an edge panel instead.
I am glad the status bar is hidden in landscape mode. .. means more usable screen area

Doesn't Nova Launcher do this? I have it set that I can swipe downwards anywhere on the home screen to bring down the notifications panel.

I haven't tried this specifically... but not sure it will work when the edge is at the top in landscape mode.
Have you been able to do this on the note edge?
It seems as if the edge blocks the notification panel coming down. ... no matter what app tries to bring it down.

Ah, I see. Sorry, I'm on a standard Note 4 can't help you there
But you could download the free version and give it a try, you never know.
EDIT: Just to confirm it DOES work in landscape mode on the standard Note 4.
Try this app, you can use it to customise the buttons or enable swipe actions to open notification bar etc

S Health on lock screen

Previous Galaxy devices would show the step count from S Health on the lock screen. For the life of me I can't figure out how to make this show on the S7 Edge. Has anyone else had luck with this?
You can use the edge feeds under the edge screen settings. Just swipe the edge when the display is off and have it show the S Health steps. I too miss the lock screen showing it, but that's a way to get it.

You can also use Good Lock (found in Galaxy apps) to app the S health widget to your lock screen. It works well.

I'm looking at "Edge Panel Settings" where I have the option to select things like compass, weather, sports, news, stocks, etc. There isn't a specific item to select for S Health.

Show Weather Icon in Second Screen (like V10)?

Does anyone know how to get the weather to show in the second screen on the V20? A friend has the V10, and they get a nice little icon of the current weather to the left of the time and date. I want this on my V20, but there's no discussion on this on the internet anywhere. Having the temperature might be nice also, but I'll settle for just the icon.
I've attached a promo image of the V10 showing exactly what I'm talking about.
Any ideas?
EDIT: Attachment didn't work. Link to replace attachment failed too! Ugh. Please try this link: http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p291/darksoulseed/LG-V10-Second-Screen-cameras_zpsgrkowsyh.jpg See to the left of the date "Thu 1" there is a sun icon. This is what I am talking about.
When is this weather displayed?
When screen is off and the time and date is displayed in the second screen.
Or are you mistaking it for the pull down notification bar?
That would be nice to have temperature in second screen...

Correction to a previous comment.......
You can get an icon or the temperature to show on the second screen.
Install and run a weather app that will follow weather in status bar.
Basically, the app will create a icon and always on notification in the notification bar. So than when the phone is off you will still get the icon or temperature showing in the second screen left of the time and date.
I have weather bug installed and just tried it. Weather bug displays the temperature. Other weather apps may display a weather icon.
Sorry for not replying sooner, for some reason I was not getting notifications of replies like I normally do.
Also, sorry my attachment and follow up link did not work. I can see how that would lead to some miscommunication. I have fixed it now. This is the right link: http://s131.photobucket.com/user/da...10-Second-Screen-cameras_zpsgrkowsyh.jpg.html This is a promo image of the LG V10. The second screen is "sliced out" of the phone to show off what it can do. The second "slice out" shows four icons on the far left, then a gap, then the weather icon, then the date and time (Thu 1 09:38PM). This is EXACTLY what i want to see on my LG V20. Specifically when the main screen is off.
Anyways... No, I specifically meant the second screen, not the notification bar. I just tried Weather Bug, and it does indeed show the temperature in the notification bar when the main screen is ON. And when the main screen is OFF it shows in the second screen. This is nice, but I really want the weather icon. Anyone know a way to get this?
I feel like this is an oversight on LG's behalf. If it worked on the V10, why not make it work on the V20?
I remember that icon.
I went to LG web site. Its pretty clear that they removed the weather icon from the date and time while screen off.
You'll have to use a third party app with notification to come close to replicating what your looking for.
Weather underground will display the temperature on the second screen when it's off.

Weatherbug also displays the temp on the second screen when its off

Just wonder what is the battery consumption with those apps.
Yahoo weather works fine for me with temp displayed on a second screen (on a left)!

Very little consumption about 1% in comparison to screen's 25-30% (on a top of the list)!
Weather channel app also puts the temperature in the second screen when the main screen is off... But only the temp no other icon.
I personally use WeatherBZ. It's based on the MIUI weather widget, and runs pretty well. Keeps the temp in the second screen much like the aforementioned do, very nice little app, no noticeable battery drain on my end either.

Maybe it's just GoogleNow notification? I get those time to time then temps suddenly drops or raises 5+ degrees F.

Oh yeah that case caught my eye as soon as i saw it
Hmmm, I have Google Now but I have Nova set as my home launcher. I usually just like Google Now for the "OK Google" voice commands. So anyways, I've gone into Google Now to see if I can use it for weather on the second screen, but it's not working... even though I am getting the weather in my usual pull-down notification.
Anyone know more about Google Now and can maybe suggest something I can try with it?

Do you see Weather card in Google Now if you open it by holding Home button? Supposed to be the first one. And here's the point I always see notification from Google App like "53F in Berkeley" as a pulldown notification BUT only if weather changes (i.e. by more than 5F or storm comes in suddenly) I get extra notification which appears on a second screen while main screen is off!
Sidenote: This icon on a second screen might be a cute one but not very informative! You can see if it's sunny, cloudy or rainy from your window, right? I'd better know how cold or hot it is outdoors at the moment and folks listed several nice options above...

Samsung S8 Notification Bar Issue

My notification bar is always dropping down (sometimes intermittently) when I am using the Samsung S8 without me having to pull it down or receiving notifications. It is becoming quite annoying because every few seconds I have to drag it back up so that I am able to use the phone. Has someone else encountered the same issue?

That dot from the far left it is for the navigation bar. I was referring to the notification bar, the one at the top of the screen. Also every now and then the apps edge blinks intermittently and it coincides with the notification bar drop.

Yes I do, but the issues started before adding the screen protector. I took it down and still it persists
The problem was solved. If you ask me what caused the issue I have no ideea. All I can do is describe the exact steps I took.
1. I took of the screen protector just in case it was causing the issue
2. I restored the phone to factory settings
3. After that I didn't install any apps and didn't intstall any backups, no passwords, no face recognition, no pin, I omited all of the steps.
It seemed to have worked flawlessly I have no idea why and what was actually casing the issue with the notification bar. One day has passed so far and no notification bar issue so far.
I hope it's gonna stay this way
