[Q] What is the actual memory of the Nexus 4?

Let's say I buy the 8GB Nexus 4, how much actual memory will I have? I know it's 8GB, but I'm wondering how much memory will the system files take.
on the 16gb version you have a 13gb of free space
Between 5 and 5.5gb of free space.
for 8 Gb I think around 5 free after a few apps
ohh that's quite small and plus its non expandable I'll have to wait for the 16gb, my first nexus device hopefully:fingers-crossed:

They're both coming out at the same time, so no waiting (unless you mean saving up the extra cash).

Google style S4

Hi. Anybody will buy the Google edition GS4? Seems that it is better, in 'normal' 32GB S4, usable storage is about 16GB, so in Google one, i think it only has 16GB version, so without the Samsung plastic feature, its usable storage percentage should be higher.
I love stock android

[Q] Average storage space available in a brand new 16GB N10?

Hey Guys,
I'm thinking in getting a Nexus 10. I currently have both Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 16 GB. So far for me in the N7 16 GB has been enough, I'm not a big gamer and consume most of media (movies, pictures, music, etc) from cloud services, the lowest space I ever had was 3 GB available.
That being said, I'm thinking in getting the 16 GB Nexus 10, I really think that 100 extra bucks for 16 GB more is too expensive and if the Nexus 10 of 16 GB has at least the 12 GB available when new I think that would be enough for me. Can anybody share what is the storage available in new 16 GB nexus 10?
What is you opinion guys? are 16 GB enough for this scenario?
Thanks for sharing your experiences!
p.s. there is also the fact that the nexus 10 supports OTG, so I can connect external storage devices if required.
13.05GB

Redmi note 3 vs Redmi note 2

Looks like same SoC but 3GB RAM, fingerprint scanner, metal body and 4000mah battery. Seems like a worthy upgrade?
I think it will be. But i will wait for the reviews and the price of the chinese resellers
For now the redmi note 3 hasn't got any custom rom or translated rom...
I don't understand why xiaomi created a different rom for the redmi note 3.

Ordered one and gonna checkout, it is pricey now as compared to the advertised pricing, even though buying from a 3rd party store.
But I think redmi note 3 comes without sd card slot and also non removeable battery

Getting the Redmi Note 3 3GB/32GB thru the courier for 235usd this Friday. But, I understand there some software problem which will be rectified these few days before it is shipped. FYI, 2GB/16GB variant is going for 200usd in the black market, now.
Well not much price difference really. If you buy it from china Redmi Note 2 Prime is 1000 RMB and Redmi Note 3 is 1100 RMB

The pros are RAM, Touch ID, And battery. The cons are Removeable Battery, microsd slot and difference of 0,2 ghz per core.
In my opinion, I prefer Redmi Note 2 Prime for now, since for the battery problem with this phone I can just switch to the secondary battery that I bought.

It has no expandable memory, and the 32gb version is much more expensive than the redmi note 2 by now. For me 16gb is not enough for a daily usage. Wish they had decided to put it...
For now ill stay with the 2.

I can't live without external sd.. But the Note 3 is cool!
Why can't they make a phone like that and with sdcard slot + removeable battery. It would be very nice

You'll pay extra for the fingerprint sensor. And the metal doesn't really look that much better. The battery is better but you can't switch it plus no sd port. I bought the RM2 because of the limitations of my Nexus 4, so for me this RM3 is a stepback.
The RM2 was 150€, the RM3 will cost around 200€. That's a bit too much, you can often get a brand flagship phones from 2014 for around 250€ or just get the Oneplus X, Oneplus One or Mi4c. This argument fails of course if the RM3 also gets a better screen, camera and so forth...
Its not worth in Europe. Some retailers are selling more then 60€ the original price point.
I would call an upgrade if it had Helio X20 (3gb wont boost performance) and same redmi note 2 roms
