Hey guys, do you know how much the price of the Note 4 is going to fall after the note 5 is realesed on September ? I care about the price without carriers and all this stuff because I really want a new phone and I am between the note 4 and the A7
Don't know but I can remember that a generation before the difference wasn't that much that I thought about getting a Note 3 instead of a 4.
Could be different of course if the Note 4 has the features in store you're primarily looking for (exchangeable battery, micro-SD etc).

Until thill now we wait and was happy for new flagship release but now Samsung you just counthing money and sold phone?!
When you release few years ago phone they have new function and beaty now older phone have more choise then new.
When you see Note 4 vs Note 5 you will see more on Note 4 then on Note 5,small difference between this brothers.
I have S1,2,3,4 and then I go on Note line but after Note 5 I ask my self what now to buy when change Note 4???

For me bigest dissapoiting is displey 518 ppi note 4 515 ppi and battery 3000mah note 4 3200mah,Samsung going down,self touchdown,NOCKOUT.
LG 4 pro looks interesting... They compared to iPhone 6 plus... Which has more memory and with the new iPhone coming out apple could kill Samsung.... And iPhone updates are way faster.. Goodbye Samsung or or may keep my note 4 for another year by then I may get update to 5.1.1...and they thanked loyal fans.... And they listened to what we want?

I noticed that for the first time there is no difference in design or materials used for building both the Galaxy S6 & Note 5, same design & same stupid glass.

Most likely the note 4 will be a rare piece! It will retain its price due to Note 5 epic fail.

Probably not a rare piece, but it just makes the Note 5's value proposition look that much worse!
Note 4s are going for about $300-400 right now and do a whole lot more despite being last year's model; why not just keep buying them? Perhaps Samsung will get the hint when last year's model outsells this year's model by a significant margin.
As for me, I'm not even going to sell mine; I'll just keep rocking it 'til it dies.

Suggest Samsung should come up with 3 Note models every year and deliberately tag them officially as below:
Samsung Note Classic
Samsung Note Sheep
Samsung Note Floosy Edge
Never change the Classic model on the core features, yes improve and evolve the design.
For Sheep and Floosy variants, go and fsck yourself and do whatever it takes to keep the drunk suites happy.
If they wanted to carry experiments, they should have done on edge version only. Damn why they don,t realize that note users want bigger battery n microsd.

Some more like hole damn department they seriously goof and just got lazy with the note 5 build . Instead they just use galaxy s6 plus mold and just reversed the screen.

Agree with this thread. I have had the note 2, 3, and just bought the 4. Bought the note 4 only because of what they were doing with the 5. Unless they get rid of the glass back I won't buy another one. I love my note phones but don't like the direction they are going now with glass back, non removable battery, and no SD card. If they wanted something premium seems like they could have gone with leather like LG or some other premium material that would at least let the back be removable.
Interested in the LG g4 pro but the display in their LG line doesn't seem to be as vibrant as Samsung's but will have to see what it looks like when it comes out. BUT for now will enjoy my note 4 as long as I can.

You didn't miss anything on the live stream. It was pathetic, almost embarrassing. The only thing worth a mention was the faster wireless charging. It was a real yawn fest.

But its a gorgeous device and a must have for phone lovers like me
Let's discuss its availability in India pricing etc
As per some review s it won't be available in UK but in US and Asian markets and I am quite sure Samsung will release it in India after all they got lots of their fans here specially for note 5

no...........we wont get it at the earliest(if at all they r planning to launch in india),we will be getting S6 edge+....................samsung india official webpage,twitter and facebook dont even carry a single article/promotion reg note 5,only s6 edge+ is being promoted.....................................

and it will be really disappointing for samsung not to release note in india as note is sold even better that their S series...and edge is not really a benefit

Yep that should be the best move by Samsung the dual SIM will also have microsd support
Usual crowd is already here, but this is one phone that gets a pass from me. Really nothing on offer here, makes it any superior to Note 4, which itself is a bit of a disaster right now on the current firmware. (disclosure i am comparing it to a nexus 6)

Which is not worth dropping 50k on for (after exchange). Considering it's a downgrade even on size. I currently am using an iPhone 6+ 128 which is nearly full and that's the only way i get with using my nexus 64 for only work.

i said earlier itself in this thread,samsung india will launch edge+ with a whopping price tag(they r thinking edge series phones r having huge potential in indian market) but the truth is they will fail miserably with edge+ and later they will launch note 4

There are many articles published since note 5 launch on 13th. Some mention dat note will b launched in india in sept. In others it is mentioned dat it won't be launched at all as samsung has skipped it for dis tym in india...

I'm wondering if it has GG 5 since some stores went out and told that it is GG 4. And some newspaper told it had GG 5. And some told that it has BOTH. Except that Sammy itself hasn't confirmed. Yet. Since LG G5 has GG 4, I'm wondering if these new phones do also have this. Anyone who can tell?
And if so, what kind of version do you think it is IF it now really is GG 4? Just like that one from last year's models or improved? I have tried to google the crap out of the Internet to find this but ALL info I've found about this was dulled.
And yes, I am on the very razor's edge from buying it.

Okay, so I got confirmed: it will have GG 4. An improved version. Future drop-tests will tell us how it is compared to the last year SGS6 Edge(+). You may close this thread whenever you like.

Which review? From where? Do you have a link? Out of what I know, GG 5 isn't on the market and that is why it is having GG 4. Samsung here in Sweden told me that. But at the other hand, it wasn't some engineer or something, it was from an support-technician who got it confirmed by his boss.
Phonedog says GG5 in the video...

I don't think anyone can say for sure. Remember what they did with the Note 4? a few days after release they not only announced GG4 but also announced that the Galaxy Alpha and Note 4 use it.
At the moment I'd say the S7 uses GG4, or some updated version of it, but I'm willing to bet that if Corning announces GG5, they will also reveal that the S7 and S7 Edge use it.

The official Gorilla Glass site doesn't say that 5 is available. I've heard its not even out yet from others here.
I took the S7 Edge in the Note 7 recall, then heard rumor about a discount on the purchase of the S8's when they launched due to all of the trouble concerning the Note 7 recall... Has anyone heard anything following up on this rumor?

Is the Note 8 not S8 and I think we would have to buy through Samsung. I think we will have to wait and see
