MT7-TL10 Gapps - Ascend Mate 7 General

If you're missing Google Apps, the solution is easy. You could flash PA GAPPS (for 4.4.4) with cwm. I've flashed the full package after deleting several uneeded stock system apps and the delapps folder. Just give it a try

How did you do it?
I have just got a TL10 3 GB from chiana but I cannot install gapps.......play store is missing. Anyone knows if is there an international rom that works with the chinese 3gb model?
Thanks.

I've chinese model, too. You've to root yor device, install cwm recovery, download pa nano gapps, or one of the bigger ones, if you've deleted enough bloatware apps from system partition. Just flash it with cwm. If you miss any gapp in the nano package you could flash for example tbo hangouts, playstore etc. Forum search is your freind

Hi, I just got my TL10 yesterday from China and I simply installed Google Play with the built-in app store ("App Center"). No need to flash or root.
See the attached screenshot.

Curious about GApps, why flashing them

Hi people over there
I want to know a thing: why, when you flash a new update of a rom (maybe in this case, the paranoid), you have to flash a new package of gapps too? I mean, why cna't flash and old one? I am curious about what would be the result flashing an old version of gapps instead flashing the same version the rom is running on.
P.S. i know this is a super-noob question but..please be gentle
there is nothing wrong with flashing an old version of GApps, but they may be a problem if the gapps is for different android version. flashing a newer GApss will result in saving storage, because it is stored in system. if you update them manually using playstore, it will use your device storage thus making it limited for personal use because we all know how big all that apps sum up. I myself didn't always download GApps package update to flash but instead I just update in Play Store.
oh, and sry for my english,

Problem with CM/C-rom or any kind or ROM for my Nexus 4

Hello,
I'm new on this forum and I wanted to ask something (Newbie).
Ok so my Nexus 4 was KitKat 4.4.2 and then I changed my rom to C-Rom through a official nexus root site (tryed to root the nexus 4) didn't work and I was stuck without Gapps and without Root for almost a year and a half, about a half a year ago a friend of mine showed me a video of how to upgrade to Lollipop using ADB/ADT stuff, So I flashed my phone and it automaticly installed for me Lollipop 5.0, a little bit after that I found a Nexus Root Toolkit and installed root with TWRP, then I wanted a black theme badly on my phone so I installed cyanogenmod 12 and it worked but again without gapps so I reflashed my nexus back to lollipop (I must say that without backuping files it's annoying to flash your phone).
Is there any way to install Cyanogenmod 12 for the nexus 4 with gapps?
Please replay, thanks

1.Download CM12 latest nightly + PA 5.0 full gapps.
2.Create .gapps-config file on same folder with app names to exclude(required for stock pa gapps package- due to data partition size limit)
3. OK now boot into TWRP. Wipe - flash CM12 - Wipe - flash gapps - Reboot
These are the basic steps I tried.

I'm not sure whether your downloaded gapps are compatible with CM12. Try PA Gapps package from this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/par...apps-official-to-date-pa-google-apps-t2943900
.gapps-config file is required only if you're using the stock gapps package ~ 400mb. Creating one is a bit tricky. Open notepad and type the names of apps that you need to exclude. You can find the names in FAQ section in above mentioned post. Then save the file as .gapps-config at same location of gapps package. Now you can flash gapps without getting insufficient storage error.

You didn't flash a gapps package? Most custom ROMs do not include (more accurately, cannot include due to licensing issues) gapps so you need to flash a gapps package after flashing a ROM.

[Gapps] Flashable Gapps and deodexed/zipaligned system app/framework

If you flash any gapps in Stock odex rom, then it will give disconnect error after reboot/auto sync error etc. So I am giving you two packages. Flash with custom recovery like cwm/twrp
1. First flash the deodexed_zipaligned_sysApps_framework_NokiaX2ds2.1.0.13flashable.zip
https://yadi.sk/d/nSBRjt5qiQQ7c
2. Then flash the gapps-custom-pico-4.3_signed.zip
https://yadi.sk/d/9NlC8ANFiQQCm
*** deodexed package is for stock version 2.1.0.13. Dont flash it in Custom roms like nokdroid(already deodexed and different system apk folder). Don't flash gapps package in a rom that already includes gapps.
Features:
1. Deodexed
2. Zipaligned
3. Minimal gapps with libs
4. Playstore 4.6.17, location manager(you don't need here maps location manager for network location)
5. No problem for auto sync.
6. No disconnect issue after reboot.
7. No self update of playstore.
**If you want to install the aosp browser with chrome sync you can follow this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-x2/general/aosp-browser-chrome-sync-stock-rom-t3153738
Plz hit thanks if it works and let me know if there is any problem.
Plz someone response if this works in your phone or not. I have only tested it in my ROM.

this works nicely. i tested it in my phone. still no errors and images load nicely
I'm use advanced Nokia x2 tools for deodex my Nokia stock rom 2.1.0.12 and flash your gapps but when I reboot my device, disconnect reboot still persist. Sorry my bad English
@jmmigo you have to use stock rom 2.1.0.13, and use my deodex package. That'show its working. I haven't tested with stock rom 2.1.0.12.
Thanks for the explanation
sorry but this is the most idiot package at all...why did u make it delet the whole system app file ? u could just replace everything there only....and play store have the same problem ..disconnect after reboot....and yes it s 2.1.0.13
@thebiggboss180, No u cant just replace. The Odex files must be removed, deleting system app folder simplifies the process. Dont know why its not working for you. For me, for the first commenter its working. But, I am waiting for more reviews. Anyway, saying something is idiot doesnt make you smart.
Does the deodex zip file work for 2.1.0.11 or not because I really hate the disconnect issue after reboot
Don't know, just try after taking a backup.
I flashed the deodex file and it work but when I rebooted my phone the play store app disappear
Worked
i dont know what others say.. but it worked for me.. yeh  :cyclops:
Help I flash this two using cwm, but when I reboot my phone it stuck on updating application. Good thing I have cwm backup

GAPPS crash with crdroid Rom, how to install ?

Hello,
I am new on this forum but I used different roms (Omega rom) on my phone, a samsung S4 I9505.
As the last version of Omega Rom didn't work on my phone (boot couldn't succeed), i Installed CrDroid jfltexx 5.1.1
(http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/i9505-develop/rom-crdroid-t3017844)
I want to have some of the Google Apps like the Play Store... so i downloaded on OpenGapps the package ARM / 5.1 / Mini. Yet after I installed it in the recovery mode, and i booted. As i was configuring the phone, the Google apps were crashing as i followed the instructions...
Now i i did another complete install of the phone WITHOUT the GAPPS. How should i proceed to get at minimum the Play Store ?
Thanks !
First time installing crDroid to your i9505, or coming from another ROM:
- Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
- Copy GApps and crDroid zip to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Wipe system,dalvik,data and cache
- Flash crDroid zip
- Flash GApps zip
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET
- Reboot

Finally, I used the 6.0 rom and Gapps are running fine.

Assuming your phone is rooted, running on a custom ROM & TWRP is working properly, you must download an Android 6.0 ARM package from the gapps website.
You can use the type you want but many people use pico or nano. Check the information on each package & choose the one that suits your needs.
There is also an Aroma full package with an installer, if you use this you can choose exactly which Google apps to install.

If you installed a stock Samsung ROM there is no reason to install Gapps.
Gapps is for custom ROMs that don't have the minimum Google stuff like Playstore/Search already included.
Anyway, as you asked how to install a gapps zip file, the gapps file is an "installable zip" file that requires an app like TWRP recovery to be launched.
How then do I get playstore on my phone (SM-A5108) I tried installing latest playstore apk but that didn't work?
I don't have TWRP Recovery
I have flashed Samsung A5108 with chinese 6.0.1 Stock ROM and then unlocked bootloader with CROM app...i then flashed TWRP on the phone and rebooted in TWRP mode. I then installed open_gapps-arm-6.0-pico-20170709 after copying it to the system of phone. It flashes successfully but then when i reboot, it keeps on looping on logo...can anyone help me out? I tried open_gapps-arm-6.0-stock-20170709 but get error...
