i have seen that again here http://en.miui.com/thread-53273-5-1.html
i have no clue if it is real. A dev should tell us...

Yeah that's all I want, someone to say if its legit or not.
If so then I'm going to try to cook my first ROM for the note.

Let's Hope that it is the one.
Fingers crossed

Beta Testers Needed for a new Rom

Ok so this isnt really a new Rom it is infact a rom i have over in the SGS2 i777 forums (same device with same internals, but capacative buttons instead of home buttons)

Guys, N7100 does not support LTE.

What is up with so many people thinking the N7100 is LTE? Please guys, for the record, there is no LTE on this device so please shut up about it. I thought with being early adopters I'd find some smart dudes here, but geez... I miss the i9300 forum where everyone knew their shizz.
Yes, most of us know that it doesn't.
Don't judge the section by those that post asking for information that most of us already know.

Great thread Captain Obvious.
Oh u being smart huh!!!
Can u answer this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1925072

Yeah, we got it. Thanks for making a thread about it
think the confusion with some was when they showed it off at the IFA they stated that LTE would be built in hence the usa getting same quad core cpu as international but with added LTE capabilities....
roll on a months and we now see internationals dont have LTE unless you get next revision up N7105.
so you could say it was bad communication
but we all know better now and if not you will reading these sites... lol

Motorola Software Update. 1/15/13

Motorola just sent me an email asking to participate in a soak test on 4G.
I no longer have my 4G having switched to ATRIX 2 but thought someone would be interested to know there is an update coming. Hopefully ICS for which I unsuccessfully waited so long as well...
What???? Maybe yiu can say YES! And see what they want... but I think its a mistake.
I hope to be wrong.
from the (M)ATRIX...
huh? wtf? is this real?
edit: can you pls copy & paste the email contents?
There are already 3 other threads about this in the general section, along with a copy of the e-mail contents.
be possible? hopefully make it happen! thank you very much for sharing the news with us!
Thanks.. looks like I can now abandon my kernel porting project!
now.. how do i return the phone to stock... hmm.

If you're not too skittish about RSD Lite, this is how I do it and it works like a charm (about 3 or 4 times now) but make for freakin' sure you grab the right SBF or you're screwed.

No mistake but I can't participate since they want the imei of the phone I don't have. I am letting you know cause I really appreciate ATRIX 4G community on xda.
If the bill or other us developers (I don't think they will allow a participant from abroad) wants to take my place - PM me.
I believe every email link they sent is unique and allows just one participant.
for real?? u gotta b kidding me.
Moved to General, and closing. There are already threads with this same information
Yes it's for real! They want to SOAK Test! Most probably it's going to be 2.3.7! Maybe some minor battery fix, wifi improvements. So pretty sure it's not ICS. Anyways, good to SOAK test. I've applied to SOAK test. I hope they'll roll out the update soon.
2.3.7?
4.0.4 or 4.1.2 you mean!

Lol.. You expected so much! I meant GINGERBREAD 2.3.7
I don't see any reason to get excited if its yet another minor update to GB...

Why no ROM for S3 i747 AT&T - d2att

It looks like a lot of devices are already being supported, but I am surprised to see no support for the North American i747 variants of the S3. I can't find any discussions about it either, so I don't know what the reason is.
Does anyone have any insights?

The usual answer - no maintainer.
Some guys were working on d2 variants but I'm not sure where that went.

I have the same question, although I understand it takes a lot of patience. It would be great to have it and I'm willing to wait.

Hope the wait is not until 2015. Don't we will ever have omni for device, no maintainer or dev to support this

yea i was more so trying to see how much work is involved in the process to see if i could look into doing it
With a non-Nexus or non-4.4 device, you basically have to code the drivers and everything by hand, if I understand my reading correctly, as well as any device-specific adjustments that must be made.

@CNexus has already built OmniRom for D2Spr. He has contributed heavily on the d2 Kernel for Omni Rom
He can be helping hand, if he agrees to help

Think you can reach out to @jakew02. Jake has been instrumental in getting Omni nightly builds for Galaxy S4 devices. He started building unofficial even when Omni was not support.
I am confident he can help us bringing the beloved Omni to our d2 devices - AT&T Galaxy S3
Jake can you please guide the us for building Omni for d2 devices? I have been after your life for building something for d2att.:silly:
@berryman13 and @Keland44 are trying to build for d2att device but with no success. Your help will be highly appreciated:good:

It's not that I've had no success, I've just been working on porting CM first. Gotta start smaller. I'm in communication with him though.

Kernel

As many of you know, I had a kernel named Singularity. I chose to cease development. As users still want the kernel, I am looking for someone to take over. If you are interested PM and if I decide your serious Ill give you the source
I would love it if someone would take this over! I don't know Jack about coding but have been very happy with the kernel. Maybe one of the kernel devs could build it as a side project to their own or at least go through the code and give some feedback as to the viability of adopting it...

Why not just release the source? I'm sure someone will take over or put the features into another kernel.

its not on xda anymore and the source isn't either.
I wish i had the time and ingenuity to take it.
But I don't.
If I were to do it updates would be inconsistent and I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to keep it up nearly as well as apophis did.
But thank you @apophis9283 for the offer to allow someone to take over

I really wish I could keep the kernel alive. I put 4 years into XDA with various projects. Being burnt out doesnt even begin to describe how I feel. I promise if I change my mind down the road Ill let everyone know

I just added cpuquiet to my source. I am going to test it and just post source here for anyone who wants it. I dont need one person to carry on the kernel, everyone can have access and it will go on that way. Have fun.

Thank you for your work. You were one of the most involved, and concerned devs I've encountered in what I call the "neo-XDA" era. I'm sad to hear about this, but am glad you are putting yourself first. Enjoy your time away.

Yeah that was Yoinx. Hes a great guy, I actually didnt know that some phones had a lower bin. This was my first kernel. You said neo-era. I thought you were talking about neo the developer who is now a mod. He actually tought me about android. Neo has been an amazing friend for almost 4 years. I stand by Yoinx. Great guy and highly intelligent. He was the one who taught me about kernels.
I will be updated the kernel soon. This in no way means I want to do it for the masses. Just stuff I'm doing for myself but you have my source and you can compile it yourself.

My fork's already supporting it app-side, so that's done. I managed to knock out getting that uploaded during a port call.
