So the European MT7-TL10 and MT7-L09 would work here in the states with t-mobile on band 4? How would I go about ordering the European market versions.

Reading from the specs, It should work in NA, with B4 aka AWS. It costs if you order from Europe though.
The problem with the USA market is that, HUAWEI may have to use a different CPU inside, happened on Mate 2. That's due to the USA's federal regulation. It may explain why there is no release date for the USA market.
We will experiment if the current Chinese MT7-TL10 can flash the international ROM. Once again, we have no clue even about the release date of the international MT7-TL10.
By the way, we sold an unit to a HUAWEI employee from an European country. According to our customer and also a HUAWEI employee there, there will be no release of the MT7-TL10 in that specific country, at least. For confidentiality, we cannot tell you which country it is.

So as @nvygw171 said, the European L09 and TL10 would be useful for USA T-Mobile LTE. That's what I'm gathering from those specs.

Yes. It offers B4 aka AWS specifically for NA. So you can purchase an European version and use it in USA.
This week, we will check with HUAWEI to see if we can exclusively get L09 version and bring it to the xda community. No guaranty though.

Here is the latest news from HUAWEI:
HUAWEI makes more profits in the Europe market and in this week they will not fulfill any order in China (good for HUAWEI as the heat is continuously stored: demand in the Chinese market is even higher). Initial production is in process for the Europe market. The quantity is limited as well (the production of finger print scanner is very limited). If one places an order for a while now, more than likely in the next 2-3 weeks you will get a shipment of the L09 version.
We will hear soon if our store can get any Europe version.. We hope to get some. Will report back once HUAWEI girl gives us a call.

So, the entire point of your "testing" was that you are completely clueless as to what works in the US.
Excellent. Thanks for the non-information.

Getmobilephoe,
I understand that you suspect that hardware of the Chinese and the European TL-10 is identical.
Can you confirm that now?

Even HUAWEI USA cannot give a clear answer. Though trusted reviewers from tech blog/community reported the phone can receive LTE in USA, we believe we are the first one notifying that there are compatibility issues. Meanwhile, we are doing our best to provide the community useful and accurate information.
And thanks your criticism and we will continuously improve, providing only reliable information.

We cannot confirm that now, as we have mentioned in many other posts, our speculation only. We have already inquired local HUAWEI factory about the availability of EU version and we shall receive an answer soon in the next 2-3 days. Meanwhile, one HUAWEI employee from an EU country told us that there will be no release of TL10 in that specific country. HUAWEI better to label it as limited edition. We really do not like their business practice this time but that's a good start for their company's long term development.
We will keep the community updated about the latest development.

Just get the response from our HUAWEI connection. First and not surprisingly though, HUAWEI cannot provide us the EU version. Of course, their supply of China version irritates us these days, though we sill get better supply than most of the vendors in the country. Second, which is interesting to the community, the first dispatch of shipment to EU is this week. We have no words about how many units they are initially offering to EU market. If you are living in the western part of Europe (the priority of HUAWEI), and an order has been pre-paid, you shall get your unit soon, depending on the queue though.
The EU version is made in HUAWEI Guangdong factory and the daily production is about 30k units per day, according to our source. Yep, a limited edition.

The only issue is that i wrote to Huawei Belgiulm abou the availability of the 32gb version and their answer was the following :
Sorry sir, Huawei WILL NOT release the 32 gb version in Europe I am actually using the 32gb version from China but slight problem, it works on 4G in Belgium with Proximus BUT NOT IN GERMANY with Vodafone 4G as they are using and LTE band not supported by the chinese version. Although Huawei mate 7 is an amazing mobile, Huawei marketing and strategy was the most stupid one i ve ever seen While Iphone and Samsung released their device, Huawei, who should have released their Mate 7 before, not only was late releasing it and awful about transparency regarding the versions and the bands these onese are supporting. I really don't understand this strategy from Chinese brands, Lenovo K920 is exactly the same. No stock ! Really strange from companies who want to get market share from Apple and Samsung This is really a shame ...
HEre is the exchange between me and them
Dear Sir,
Could you tell me when will the Huawei mate 7 32GB be available in Europe ?
We already find them in chinese websites, can we also order them from there, devices are exactly the same ?

Hi
This was an awful idea : to compete in the high end devices, Huawei should have released this 32Gb, 3gb ram version in EU and for your information, huawei online mobile shop sell and ship these devices to Europe. From a strategic marketing point of view, it was a mistake no to be consistent to such an extent. European market is dominated by Apple and Samsung as you know, how Huawei wants to penetrate it without releasing their most powerfull device in these markets were the actually need to penetrate ?
This was just my opinion ... Thanks.

ROTFLAMO, this was my exact reaction to their absolutely pisspoor performance in any market. I read an article yesterday touting that they had sold 1million phones in the first month. They have ZERO deals with any carriers, they ZERO presence in any country, and they're proud they sold 1 million phones? I mean seriously, what a joke. They're just simply pathetic in terms of being a manufacturer. They don't seem at all bothered that they answer questions asked in contradictory ways. I asked if the device was coming to the US Ina T-Mobile-compatible version. First answer, it will be released in the US. Second time the same question was asked by someone else, the device will not be released in US.
The press need to take a LOT of responsibility in this as well. I was the first one to ask Huawei if the phone was compatible with T-Mobile in the US. Not a single American reviewer asked that question. They all walked away with free devices in Germany, but no one quoted more than the press briefing. The press, seriously, were a joke in this.
Huawei may well be #3 in the world. But, after this "release", I don't see them rising beyond that.
Huawei, at least hire someone who can answer questions of those who ask them in better than broken Engrish. It's embarrassing for a multinational company to have no one who can answer a question in proper sentences.
They're not ready to compete because they're playing in the backwater.

I am in the philippines, and i was initially eyeing this phone. I wrote huawei phils. and i was told that the device will be release last wk of oct to 1st wk of nov. Naturally, as the date neared, i followed it up with them. Alas, they said they could no longer give a time frame.
I love how this device looks, but how can i buy it when its not available in my country? The online stores priced this ridiculously, and i am not even sure about lte compatibility.
I ended up getting the vibe z2 pro! Amazing device!

1. The phone is out of stock in Shanghai, Beijing. Think about it. Many stores are selling at over $700 USD and it is still OOS.
2. HUAWEI is shipping x units to Europe in the past week, sacrificing the Chinese market at the moment.
3. HUAWEI is a giant Chinese company therefore a political issue. Period.
We cannot help NA consumers for AWS reason but our customers from Asia and Europe say NO compatibility issue and love it. If you are an EU based consumer who has placed an order with HUAWEI already, please be patient and you will get the phone no later than Mid November, or, come to our store who can fulfill your needs immediately.

Thanks, the reason i was asking is because i also bought the HK version N910U and on here it states it does do TDD LTE but unfortunately i had to find out whilst back in Shanghai that it doesn't have TD but only FD. Otherwise i love the phone but i need to have 4G so am looking to buy another one.
BTW It costs you nothing to get the 4G card at China Mobile just bring your passport and sign a few docs

you dont answer my question. some chinese say me unicom and n910u work
FDD LTE and TD LTE
Unicom supports both TD and FDD LTE (hybrid 4G). I bought my Note 4 in HK and it is working fine in China 4G on Unicom.
You can check with Unicom which cities have 4G already, Shanghai definitely has.
So if you have China Mobile you will need a different phone, or buy an IPhone which supports both FDD and TD.

Difference between the modelnummers? A2001, A2003, A2005

Hi guys,
so does anyone know the difference between the modelnummers A2001, A2003 and A2005? I have a OPT bought in China which says A2001 but in a review from theverge(i believe?) he said, he had the A2005 version. Does is really make a difference in terms of custom rom and stuff?
Can anyone provide informations to clear it up?
regards
From what I can see there will be three types of phones: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/three-oneplus-2-versions-spotted-a2001-a2003-a2005.319368/
A2001 - 16GB version
A2003 - 64GB version
A2005 - 128GB version
is yours the 16gb or 64gb version?

The information on the forum itself is unreliable speculation and should not be used as source unless it's posted by a OnePlus official.
As for the versions:
A2001 - Chinese model
A2003 - European and Asian model
A2005 - US model

A2005 is the 64GB North America version. Not 128.
Ah so it is just regional numbers then. That is fair enough.
Yep waterdroid is correct - it's region based SKUs.

here are the details from the oneplus forum
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/oneplus-2-regional-versions-explained.338780/
EU/Asia
GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz
WCDMA: Bands 1/2/5/8
FDD-LTE: Bands 1/3/5/7/8/20
TDD-LTE: Bands 38/40/41
3 and 20 are used almost all over Europe, but not at all in North America. Band 8, although available in both versions, is used in Europe and India but is seeing increasing adoption worldwide.
North America
GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz
WCDMA: Bands 1/2/4/5/8
FDD-LTE: Bands 1/2/4/5/7/8/12/17
For NA, the removal of bands 3 & 20 allows us to add all the GSM bands you’ll need.
China
GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz
WCDMA: 1/2/5/8
TD-SCDMA: 34/39
TDD-LTE: 38/39/40/41
FDD-LTE: 1/3/7
The Chinese version will have very limited 4G compatibility in Europe and North America. More importantly, it only has one IMEI meaning you will not have dual-SIM capability outside of China. If you like having dual SIMs, do not buy the Chinese version.

OnePlus Two LTE Bands unlocking

Hello!
I've bought a Chinese version of OP2 and it seems to be doesn't have Band 20 LTE support (800 MHz). :crying:
And I was wondering if it's possible to unlock the band like for OPO?
That's not known yet, but I've got my doubts.
I was scared as you after see that I bought the chinese version which doesn't have the 800mhz; but I checked on this site if my phone will work on the LTE of my carrier:
http://www.willmyphonework.net/
Fortunately it works. The real problem is that the chinese version, having only one IMEI, doesn't allow the use of dual sim outside of the China.
Hope your LTE works!

That's not true regarding the dual Sim, it works in standby mode and can be used when primary Sim is not in use (I know this as I have the Chinese version of the handset and I am using 2 Sim cards).

I like use the band 800 in México LTE.
One person respond my question and the process to ONO no function.
Do you have information about other team/member working in this topic?
I followed the same procedure as oneplus two, but stuck on drivers installation.
Would be glad to have a solution on this.
I really need this I have messed up... I had to use a post forwarding service so I found a US one and I live in norway and got the US model.. I have asked if I can trade it for a EU one but they can't because of their policies.. Anyone know what band I need for it to work on LTE in Norway?

I think you can find something interesting reading information below:
With the OnePlus 2, we’ve taken some extra steps to ensure that our device works flawlessly in all the markets we support. A crucial component (no pun intended) is bands support. As you may be aware, LTE bands across the world differ significantly for various reasons (let’s talk about why that is some other time) and certain hardware restrictions make it so that you can only support so many bands in one device.
Thus, there is a trade-off between having all the bands and manufacturing complexity - the more bands you want to support, the more region-specific SKUs you have to create. We opted to make two different versions for two different regions - one EU/India, and one that we call North America. These are both OnePlus Global phones; they ship with Oxygen OS and the proper band support for your region. Besides those, there’s also the Chinese version that ships with Hydrogen OS and Chinese LTE support - this one is not available on oneplus.net (and is almost certainly the version you will get if you buy from anywhere else).
Here’s a breakdown of the differences (for EU/NA, bands in bold only available on that version):
Note that compatibility here refers to LTE, the fastest network currently available. The slower 2G/3G GSM frequencies (below referred to as GSM and WCDMA) are less fragmented and you should be able to get data almost worldwide with the included 2&3G bands regardless of the version. Use http://www.willmyphonework.net/ for easy reference.
EU/Asia
GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz
WCDMA: Bands 1/2/5/8
FDD-LTE: Bands 1/3/5/7/8/20
TDD-LTE: Bands 38/40/41
3 and 20 are used almost all over Europe, but not at all in North America. Band 8, although available in both versions, is used in Europe and India but is seeing increasing adoption worldwide.
North America
GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz
WCDMA: Bands 1/2/4/5/8
FDD-LTE: Bands 1/2/4/5/7/8/12/17
For NA, the removal of bands 3 & 20 allows us to add all the GSM bands you’ll need.
China
GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz
WCDMA: 1/2/5/8
TD-SCDMA: 34/39
TDD-LTE: 38/39/40/41
FDD-LTE: 1/3/7
The Chinese version will have very limited 4G compatibility in Europe and North America. More importantly, it only has one IMEI meaning you will not have dual-SIM capability outside of China. If you like having dual SIMs, do not buy the Chinese version.

My wife is using the Chinese variant of the OnePlus 6 in Utah, with absolutely zero issues. But she also bought it as she is from China and wants to use it when we visit family there. I'm not sure off hand about the other countries listed. Bit u know hers will work in mainland China and Hong Kong and Taiwan. You can Google the model number of the phone and then include will it work in Indonesia. It should bring s link to check that countries mobile carrier bands.
Edit-. It's this site. Select the country you want to see their bands

Note 7 with LTE B28?

I have seen in some sites that Redmi Note 7 does not have the B28, but entering the brand's global site, says that there is this band, wanted to know who already has and can confirm if it is released on the device or not.
For those who want to see, here is the link to the Xiaomi Global website:
https://www.mi.com/global/redmi-not...WY-IvYMxC4igaVnDrCh8BDtZnbabLy8Q-aH4Ka-OT4hwg
After looking in Kimovil all the configurations for the Redmi Note 7, I can tell you that there is a version with the B28 band. It isn't the Global one, nor the Chinese one, but the India/Taiwan/Malaysia/Polony one!! Here you have an screenshot:
Sorry but kimovil is the manufactur.
Trust mi.com! If They say global has band 28, than it has.
I have the global one, but No 28 LTE to Test it

Trust the manufacturer site, OK but the webpage doesn't mention which version/variant is described...
There are three models of Redmi Note 7, each one in différents variants (storage, ROM,...).
- M1901F7G : Global model, distributed through European Mi stores (including in France where B28 have been starting to be deployed), amongst others. B28 is NOT enabled. B20 (the main LTE band in Europe so far) is enabled, though.
- M1901F7H : Model with different versions/variants including some delivered with CN ROM (China) and others with APAC ROM (Asia Pacific i.e. Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia,...). This model has certification for B28. But only the APAC variant actually does have B28 enabled. On CN variants, there is no B28.
- M1901FYI : Indian model. No B28 here.
After looking in Kimovil all the configurations for the Redmi Note 7 said:
Beware! ID stands for Indonesia, not for India! Indian model is pretty different in terms of LTE bands. Also, PL actually seems to refer to Poland but this information is really weird since B28 has not been deployed in Poland and Xiaomi sells the Global model with Global/EU ROM in European countries where they currently focus on (Spain, Italy, France, this latest already using B28). A non sense, then... I don't know where this information come from.
Foxy, for what purpose do you need B28 (which network)?

Per the specs, it's obviously the APAC variant. It's a good move from Gearbest who meet the requirement of some Eurogeeks desperately seeking for a cellphone having both B20 and B28 enabled (subscribers the Free network in France). It may even not be a will from them, since they don't offer the M1901F7G anyways (only the CN and APAC variants then). Since the CN version is a real no go for EU customers, the APAC variant is just a perfect alternative as long as it offers all languages. And it is very probable the APAC variant natively includes multilanguage.

Thanks for the precisions!
So at the end (at least for european use) better go with the M1901F7H (APAC) as it has the 48Mpx camera and the B28 in bonus.
Question:
As i'm planning to root later, will there be restriction for B28 on Xiaomi.EU, MiGlobal or future Custom ROMS on this M1901F7H model?

It's what it looks like. I just asked Gearbest to confirm the model number. I will let you know if I get an answer.
The number of bands enabled on this models is impressive. It's not only the B28. This variant also have B2 and B4 which is pretty useful when travelling to the American continent! And none of the "Global Version" bands is missing on the APAC version. If this is confirmed, it's a shame that Xiaomi sells a so-called Global Version in official store although there is another regional version which is truly usable worldwide. Now I feel fooled after having bought my Redmi Note 7 in an official MiStore.
I don't know much the Xiaomi services you talk about but for the custom ROMs I don't see any problem as long as you use a custom ROM designed for the appropriate model (H in this case).
Edit: After further research, I couldn't find any track of an APAC version managing the B20... The Gearbest description seems to be copied-pasted from the Xiaomi global website herebefore linked. However this page list the specs of all the different versions together as one, which is pretty misleading. Better wait the clarification from GB, then...

EDIT: interresting post on this forum:
https://forum.hardware.fr/hfr/gsmgpspda/telephone-android/unique-redmi-note-sujet_32992_16.htm#t2428695
Xiaomi has on global site different bands than in FR and ES sites, and also on IT site has different bands from all of them.
Global: B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20/28
ES: B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20 (a few weeks ago ther was not B4 on Spanish site specs).
FR: B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20
IT: B1/3/5/7/8/20
AFter checking again FCC certification:
https://fccid.io/2AFZZ-RMSF7H/Lette [...] er-4142497
And a unit bought by me in spain, i see that Spanish version is the M1901F7G and that does not have B28, and after checking all mi sites, I see that only some countries has B28:
· Indonesia
· Malaysia
· Poland
· Vietnam
So for this countries they have M1901F7H with B28. I have updated bands on Kimovil site, is hard to find real bands and we have not found any shop with B28 version

indonesia MI specs shows B20 B28.
https://www.mi.co.id/id/redmi-note-7/specs/
Same as the official Taiwanese store :
https://mobile.mi.com/tw/redmi-note-7/#specs
And with these LTE specs, it comes in two variants 4GB/64GB and 4GB/128GB (no 3GB/32GB like for the Global Version nor 6GB/128GB) exactly like the two options offered by Gearbest.
So yes, this phone with both B20 and B28 and much more exists. The remaining question is why Xiaomi made a so called Global Version that is way less global than this one? Is it just to save few dollars on European's customer account? :-/ Or for certification reasons?...

I live in Brazil and here the B28 is being widely implemented by the operators, to work with the B3 and B7, but the plan is that in some years the B28 becomes the main to cover the largest space of coverage areas possible.

There is no M1901F7H global version.
The Global Version is M1901F7G.
The official Xiaomi website says that it has B28 700Mhz
Unfortunately, so far nobody can confirm this is true.
From what I find online, the only variant that has B28 is M1901F7H. It is sold in Taiwan and a few other APAC countries like Singapore.
I have a RN5 with H at the end in model number (taiwan version). Shows B28 with LTE Discovery, but most of the time it shows B2. My operator uses both. Just tried G ending RN7 Global and only shows B2, no B28, tried several times. Even in moments when my RN5 showed steady B28, switched sim card and no B28 in RN7. So it seems like it's not supported. Just opened dispute with AliExpress, on the listing it showed B28.

None of the sources that say the "G" version lacks B28 is believable. They mostly get the information from the User Manual, which does not list B28 (but that could be an error since it was probably copied from another version of the manual).

The only definitive way to test is to find out which towers are carrying B28 ONLY for 4G for your carrier/operator. In Australia we have a website called oztowers.com.au that allows us to do this, you probably have one too.
Find a tower that only has B28 for 4G for your carrier, and travel to it. Park next to it and see what happens.
There is little confirmed information about B28 and it is confused.
Several stores in Aliexpress are listed as B28 in the description of RN7. However, the review image posted by the buyer is M1901F7G.
Are the descriptions of these shops false?
I asked a few shops about B28, but the shops only replied "This is a global version".
I am also curious about global version and am buying from the US. Need bands 2 and 4 which site do u guys suggest I order from? And does gearbest sell unlocked ones but not aliexpress?
