rtc clock not working properly
I cant change rtc clock time, I tried -w and -systohc, but nothing

I have 20141013 installed
---------- Post added at 05:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:58 PM ----------
Dsp manager also not working. When I change sound compression it works, but at next song it sounds normal, like if it wasnt activated.

RTC can't be set directly on all newer Qualcomm devices.
DSP Manager most likely will be changed in CM. Anyway its DSP Manager bug and not ROMs itself. So if you want look through CM JIRA and if there no such bug report. You can report it.

Ok, I'll report that. I also noticed that recovery backups dont have rtc time. I did some research on the internet and I found something about newer qualcomm devices have recovery time kept in a file in /data/time. I could check this by reading the file time_log.1.
I did know this coz one day recovery bacckups were changed from 1970 to 2014, but with wrong date, so I think I would have to do a full wipe, format data and system and reinstall the rom, I think this could work. I also read someting in the changelog like rtc showing correct or something like this. Maybe same time is kept coz I dont do wipes while installing a new nightly. I really appreciate your work, I love your rom.

It is set to 2014 in kernel. That what Samsung made in KK opensourced kernel. And dont be surprised if it will be set to 2014 next year. Day, month isn't changed forcefully. So thats why you see such date in recovery. While in normal boot mode time_daemon starts and sets date and time. So wipe don't change anything. These RTC changes related to normal boot mode only. Particularly to time_daemon.
And yes, recoveries like Philz support setting correct date.

Ok, thanks

First of all, thank you for a great ROM. The only problem I have, is when I am calling someone. The screen just goes black. Is there any trouble with the proximity sensor?
When I take the phone away from my ear the screen is supposed to light up right? Mine doesn't do that...
Thanks!

Hi, is screen mirroring working with CM11 nightlies?
Gesendet von meinem GT-I9506 mit Tapatalk

Hi!
I've been having an issue ever since I started using one of the first nightlies of this ROM: After a random time both my WIFI and phone signal icons turn orange and the proces Android OS starts draining my battery together with having no signal at all. Turning off WIFI at that point doesn't seem to work anymore but can be done by putting the phone in airplane modes. When I disable airplane modes and have my WIFI disabled I can browser through my phone network but Android OS still drains the battery. After I reboot everything is back to normal, as long as I leave my WIFI off.
- I've installed various nightlies and have had the same problem on all of them.
- I've done both a firmware update and a factory reset of my wireless router: Linksys E2000.
- I've both enabeld and disabled the Google Location reporting.
The problem still occurs and I can (with a random time) reproduce it. If anyone can help me debug or solve this problem that'd be great!

Assuming you have CWM in use as recovery, enter CWM. Do a format on /system from mounts menu. Then do a factory reset. Install latest nightly from SD and voila. That worked for me a while back.

That did not work. Just got the orange icons again.
I'm open to suggestions.

Hi, I've installed the 20141106-NIGHTLY yesterday, everything was working great, I updated to the 20141107-NIGHTLY today and now I don't have notification sounds, vibration and light, most of the audio files I select under Notification Sound are detected as Unknown Ringtone, the battery notification light is not working too, I wiped and restored factor settings through recover and installed the 20141106-NIGHTLY but its still the same, changing the color of the light confirms that the notification light is still working but does not activate wen it should.
Nevermind, I cleaned all my setting and reconfigured, it solved the problem

Hi friends, how can we root this ROM?
Thanks

As other users in the thread about solks2 CM11, I am affected by thebrandom reboot thread. I thought it might help to let you know that those reboot often occur when using waze (while charging the phone in my car). Sorry to post here but I do not have the 10 required posts to reply in the right thread.

Hello,
I also have a bug when trying to use google now via bluetooth (stuck on a screen with "initializing" written). I tried several workarounds from the internet but without success. Some suggest that a2dp should be disabled but I didn't find an option to disable it... Anyone managed to make google now work with bluetooth?

I am unable to record videos, anyone else having this issue?
EDIT: I just updated to the latest NIGHTLY, still unable to record videos, in a week or so I'll go on vacation for the holidays and I really need to record some videos, so if someone knows whats wrong please help me, thank you

hi , installed this rom but i still haven't network connection
Double boot when starting phone
Hello all together.
Yesterday I flashed the latest rom on my skomer.
So far everything runs smooth but I recognized one weird thing.
During boot (doesn't matter if a warm or cold start), the phone boots twice.
Means I see the Pin entry screen and after approx. 15s I see the boot animation again.
It does not matter if I enter the pin or not, it boots a second time at all.
After the second boot everything is OK.
This was a clean flash from theboegls prerooted image with normal pa gapps flashed.
Does anyone have a solution for this issue!
Thanks a lot,
Kubunter
Just installed the new nightly(4.4.4.101014) Everything is running smooth. Just wondering if there is a radio for android 4.4.4 and how do i get it if there is?

I read the forum and tried this code and it worked for me.
run this code in your terminal if you cant find terminal get if from playstore using wifi.
adb shell
su
find /efs/|while read s; do chown radio:system $s; done;
find /modemfs/|while read s; do chown radio:system $s; done;
chmod -R 777 /efs/
chmod -R 777 /modemfs/
reboot
After reboot your mobile data should be working
Camera not working
Thank you for your great work, hopefully devs are reading this subthread, too.
It would be nice, if following message would be referred on the first message, since many people have issues with network. I managed only to find all the information by very inconvenient googling:

Did you use the right clockworkmod mentioned on the main post? Also your firmware might be too new, therefore flashing this one might help:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40232503&postcount=43]
If I got it right it must be
- install odin and get cwm on pc
- get supersu and cm on your sd card
- reboot in download mode
- flash cwm on phone
- reboot in Recovery
- well i think you can backup already
- root with supersu
- reboot in Recovery
- wipe data/factory
- install
- reboot
I use 1010114
wifi and camera work here, but sim card seems not to be accepted
good use of hardware buttons after reflashing (this had issues before)
[did not install GApps, but that should not be a problem..?]
tried 10.2 from flxo and had the same problem with SIM
Double Boot
Hello all together,
I have a logcat of the problem, saved at pastebin.
As I´m a new user, I´m not allowed to post a outside link.
Is it possible that I will send someone who is able to post a link a PM?
The second boot happens around 22:44:54 o´clock
Something with a android process seems to be wrong.
Is anyone able to help?
Thanks a lot,
Kubunter
Android Lollipop?
Pushed fix for streaming YouTube should now work next nightly. Downloading source now to build recovery image. Thanks for waiting. I will try to solve the problems we have but I can't guarantee anything due to lack of device. I'm going to discontinue my work for ste devices soon. As long as it builds I will try my best to keep supporting them but fixing problems etc I can no longer continue.

There are still STE developers and I'm sure this one will get lollipop working if he can't I doubt we will see it , but lollipop might be a large merge and roms might have to rebase or start from scratch porting hardware workarounds and eventually bring back features.
intermittent network signal
Guys please help. I tried this ROM and it looks great but I'm loosing network signal almost every time I'm starting up navigation (Sygic) and I use it a lot. I don't loose it immediately, sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after 20 min. but the signal triangle finally goes black and doesn't come back after switching off navigation. This makes it unusable to me. I've seen people reporting problems with network signal so I guess it's not the app. issue. Sometimes it looks like I just loose data transfer (it shows no internet) but the signal bar shows that I have network. Some other time I was not moving at all but the signal bar was going up and down from max. to min. within 3 sek. After few minutes it stabilized. Something seems to be wrong with the antenna or modem, whatever is responsible for network signal.
And another thing, that looks to be related, I don't have any arrows and network type sign (2G/3G) showing if I do or don't have internet connection.
There were some posts talking about a fix for network problem by typing some commands somewhere but could someone explain it step by step how to apply it, if it is a working fix.
Thanks!
After a reboot the home button doesn't work until I enter my pin code, which comes like half an hour after boot! How do I fix it and does anyone else have this problem!?
I was about to throw this piece of **** phone away but i gave it a last chance with Vanir. It took me nearly 2 hours to flash the Rom , but i got it working.
First of I want to thank the dev for the work, I realy apreciate it. You managed to make this phone usable again, I hate Samsung so much for this crap Software they used for the Xcover2.
After using Vanir for one week (using not testing), here is what is not working for me:
-maximum volume for every call
-stock photo app crashes
-Location is very inaccurate, my guess is the cell tower fix is working and the GPS is not
-sometimes i cant shut off the phone, it freezes and i have to pull the battery
-phone is sometimes not going to sleep mode, i have to restart it
Everything else is working perfectly, this is thousand times better then the Samsung bull****. Oh, my carrier is Telekom(Germany).
No radio/SIM with GT-7710 XCover 2 on CM11
The forum forces me to open a new thread, apologies.
I gave the Vanir Skomer 4.4.4.101714 nightly a try but my broadband (S7710XXAND2)/IMEI is gone after reboot. Big difference to most reports I've read is that once I return to stock ROM all is fine again. In other words: the SIM was not damaged. Also the chmod/chown and move-files-from-stock trick doesn't improve anything. No idea what else I should try. I'm currently back on stock Android.
This is what I've done:
- Use Odin 3.09 to apply 20140112_cwm-6.0.4.6_skomer_fixed.tar.md5
- Boot into CWM
- Update to CWM 6.0.4.7 via cwm_skomer_test2.zip
- Wipe/Factory + Dalvik reset
- Install vanir_skomer_4.4.4.101714.zip (also tried 20131231_cm_11.0_skomer-ota-eng.flx.zip)
- Install pa_gapps-modular-pico-4.4.4-20141019-signed.zip
- Wipe/Factory + Dalvik reset
+ Copied {efs, modemfs} from stock to vanir (removed vanir's folder contents before)
+ Fixed file perms to 666, folders to 777, owner to radio:system
I couldn't find TWRP for Skomer or a more recent clockwork recovery. Just mentioning this because I've read a post that mentioned recovery is responsible for setting radio related stuff.
Ideas?
Network connection doest work for me to. I like this rom too and like to be it get worked! (Y)
Never mind, fixed my radio issue. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56293409&postcount=37
vanir_skomer_4.4.4.101714
I got that one and currently it's syncing but I have no mobile networks. I'm from Finland and I'd like to know what data I should post to help fix it. (I could recompile and all if I get instructions)

Cant call, says my phone is currently airplane mode
hello, just installed the latest (vanir_skomer_4.4.4.102814) and now my phone can't find network and says that airplane mode is on when i try to call. Airplane mode button says it's off and kills the bt and wifi if i turn it on, aka goes to real airplane mode.
Fix for this would be more than welcome.

hi , i use auto brightness but have tested with manual brightness also , i cant reproduce this on my hlte , could you post if your on a different version like spr/vzw etc. i would suggest full wipe and wipe data also. dont restore system apps and maybe you have or have had a screen controller installed which may be conflicting

I did a clean install, wipe cache partition/dalvik cache. I don't like to use auto brightness, I keep it on manual mode. However, there was no change even after I was trying to change brightness manually. I'm using hlte version. I don't have any other screen controller. I will give it one more try this weekend. cheers for posting back , not sure if your new to du but if coming from another rom you must wipe data ,
Do a full nandroid backup and wipe data ,system , both ccache. see if that helps. if not you can restore backup,i do recommend trying that as data often causes issues and definately causes errors if coming from another rom...
Yes I'm new to DU (but not to flashing). I did clean wipe data/system, cache partition and dalvik cache too. ROM was running fine until reboot. After booting brightness was at 100% and wouldn't go down even after changing manually. I'll surely give it a try as I liked the features.
Thanks, once again for getting back to me.

Ok so I installed DU again (even before weekend starts). It seems to be running well except that I get few exceptions sometimes "system UI has stopped working". I have to reboot the phone and everything is back and running again. Since, this is just the first day after I installed ROM, the battery life hasn't been that great. I'll give it a week before I can jump to conclusion about battery life on DU.
It's a really nice ROM. Good work.
cheers for your reply , it is essential that you wipe data on first flash , otherwise you will get all sorts of fc.
du is different to cm/slim/carbon etc and the data files between roms are incompatible hence the need to wipe /data if coming from another rom..
Upgraded to DU v8.1 from v8.0 and the in/out of pocket mode stopped working. Im using the oem note3 flipcase. This feature used to work flawlessly on v8.0. Wiped cache, dalvik. Anybody have the same issue?
Not sure why but my Bluetooth playback is broken in 8.1.
Here are the things I tried
Re downloaded 8.1, flashed it, no xposed, calling with it works, but music will not play.
Moved to cm, works fine.
Moved to 8.0, works fine.

@Moepda, I did wipe all data and system along with cache.
So it's been one week, after I installed DU. There are no system/UI crashes or random reboots. Performance is pretty solid too. But, battery life has still not improved. There's a sharp decline even when it's idle. I used the Kernel that came along with DU. I haven't installed any new apps recently or changed my display settings significantly.

I am using it with a 128GB Sandisk - FAT32 filesystem.
Actually if you format the card to FAT32 before using it will work with ANY rom.

Clock time wrong
Hey guys, I have TMobile and installed the HLTE version of this ROM.

Struggling with CyanogenMod 11
I installed last night with Philz recovery (most recent version), factory reset, wiped cache and dalvic cache first. Things appeared to be running smoothly initially but I realize I don't have any sound (DSP manager crashes when I open it or when I open Apollo). I'm not able to answer or make phone calls. I'm pretty new at this - do I need to update my modem? I know Knox got installed (0x1) and the baseband version says mk2. Is there a ROM that would work better for my phone? Can I install rom that say NAE and NG2? I'm just looking for something that's stable and has great battery life. Or is there something I'm doing wrong with Cyanogenmod?
Here's info in the about phone page:
SPH-L720
11-20141008-SNAPSHOT-M11-jflte
4.4.4
L720VPUEMK2 (baseband)
Kernel 3.4.104-cyanogenmod-gc55a5d6 etc
CPU ARMv7
Memory 1809 MB
Please help.
A second thorough wipe may be worthwhile. Otherwise download a fresh cm copy as the other may have gotten corrupted. Reload and reflash.

SIM problems
Is there any way to use CM12 without having a SIM card inserted because it won't allow the phone to connect to any network even though I've ben using my phone on Boost Mobile for almost a year now.
I'm running TWRP and the 2/8 nightly, I've been unable to access my developer options since the flash, even with factory reset before and after flash. Also having issues with the camera, seems to only want to take a few photos before it just stops capturing and force closing, leading to "unable to connect to camera". Any thoughts on the dev options issue?

Camera Won't Work
Everything was running smooth but then I decided to record a video so after taking a few pictures I switched to video record. It frozee for a second and then closed the program. I clicled on camera again and a message popped up saying:
"Camera error
Can't connect to the camera."
I have CyanogenMod Version:
12-20150226-NIGHTLY-jfltespr
I tried closing disabling the camera app but no luck.
Move from CM12 nightly to Lollipop Stock Rooted
Greetings!
I've been running the Cyanogenmod 12 nightly build 12-20150224-NIGHTLY-jfltespr on my S4 (baseband L720PUFNG2) with ClockworkMod 6.0.4.7 installed. I've been experiencing some battery issues and miss features included in the stock Samsung ROMs, such as a working IR blaster and multiwindow support, and would like to move from CM12 to a stock AND ROOTED configuration. I have a few questions:
1) Where do I obtain the *correct* ROM to flash? I'd like Samsung's stock rooted Lollipop, *if possible*.
2) Do I run TriangleAway FIRST, and then flash, or flash, and THEN run TriangleAway?
3) After I flash the stock ROM, am I safe to recover user apps AND system data with Titanium Backup, or should I simply start fresh, being spring and all?
4) What about KNOX? Will it complain/cause issues/take off and nuke the entire site from orbit?
BTW, I *have* searched these forums, but there's almost an ocean of data to sift through even so, and most of my results date from 2013/2014. I don't want to get this wrong, as this is my only phone, and I've already softbricked for a day (no PIT found!), and want to avoid that happening again if possible.
I'll keep hunting for what I want on my own, but any help you geniuses here can provide would be.... well, helpful.
Thanks!
Did you make a nandroid backup of your stock ROM before you went down the custom ROM route?

No, and that answer probably means, apart from "do a nandroid backup next time, idiot", that I have to do a full wipe and can't restore my user data. I'm actually fine with that, as I don't really have any information on my phone that isn't already attached to my Google account or otherwise stored in the cloud.
What are the consequences beyond losing my data because I didn't do a Nandroid backup, if any?
And where do I get the stock ROM, etc.?
I see a bit of a green tint after latest updates (03/08 and 03/11).
I see a bit of a green tint after latest updates (03/08 and 03/11). This is not hardware issue. Is there anyone who noticed same problem?

well not making a nandroid could be bad because you could have a bad flash and soft brick and all u have left is download and/or recovery mode and u can always go back to having a functioning phone with your backup. And plus running cm12 u could restore your back up and update your prl and profile then restore your cm12 or do the same for a gps lock. Always make a back up man. U can get the stock touch wiz by either searching the forum for it which I'm sure it's here or u can go to sammobile type in sph-l720 and download the current stock tar file then re root and make a back up of stock before u even delete any bloat that way u will always have a completely stock back up.

Installed the 3/28 nightly last night and really digging it. I don't use it as a phone so I won't be able to test that aspect. About the only bug I've come across is that Falcon Pro 3 Twitter client can't play Youtube videos inside the app. Works on stock Lollipop. Not a biggie but thought you guys might want to know about it. NFC seemed to work great when I used it during initial setup. Camera pics and video looks great. Will try testing Bluetooth with file transfers to Nexus 7 (2013) tablet later. I'll try to report any other issues I encounter in this thread. Thanks for the really excellent work.
Edit: Well, I just played a YouTube video within Falcon Pro 3 (from The Verge Twitter account) and it played flawlessly. So that last attempt was either a borked link or who knows?
I am having the same issue with 13., moving back to 12 trying a new download.

Mine is functioning well so far. Re Flash the zip again and check after at least 3 day usage.
always restart when screen OFF on my F320S ..
支持你!
谢谢韩国的朋友
look guys
These solution is not mine i found it xD but i dont remember where sorry
-If wifi is mad with you
install "F320-Philz-touch_Cloudy" / Wipe dalvik cache then flash su-v2.40 (Do this step each time that the phone turns off ) maybe you will have to try this many times before it work
-If soft reboot when the screen is sleeping or when press power button
install "wake lock - PowerManager" set ~PARTIAL_WAKE_LOCK then go to options (in the nav bar) and set autostart on boot you can turn off notifications too
note: when you turn off the screen useing the power button it turns on back so you have to wait for until it shuts
2nd note: i'm just learning English (sorry)
And what about the rom?
Is there some news?
the Rom's download link is not work
okay i've found a fix fall pretty much every issue present in the f320k build. it's ridiculous and makes no sense, but it works for me and after working this out i haven't encountered a single problem apart from the battery drainage (i can probably get maybe 3 hours of light usuage, but im using some battery calibration app which i've never heard of but is supposed to work wonders) and the render kernel flashing but bringing all the old bugs back.
so basically what i did was factory reset the phone to jellybean (4.2.2 11E to be exact) via flash tool, attempted to install the omni lollipop rom. it worked, but no wifi, constant soft reboot, and no access to sd card within the rom. so i wiped that and gave this rom a try. for some reason, if you install any lollipop rom (so far ive tried ressurection remix and omni) straight after flashing JB, and then wipe that and run this rom, wifi works, no soft/hot reboots, and access to the sd card is present. it works vice-versa as well! flashing this rom, followed by Omni just fixes all the bugs (although the other two roms i tried do not have access to sd-card which is a bummer because all of my music and files are saved there).
after getting CM12 to boot and run fine, i created a backup of everything in TWRP in case something went wrong, which did happen.
while setting the device up, getting some apps installed, something triggered the wifi and hot reboot issue again. i wasn't sure what it was but there's no way i'd be cool with having to wipe the phone to stock jelly bean and redo this entire method to get the wifi fixed again, so i booted recovery, hit restore backup, and ONLY selected Modem in the things to restore. booted back up and its literally fixed the issues again. im still unsure of what's causing the bugs, but at least i know how to fix it and it only takes a minute and no data is lost at all.
i hope this helps anyone looking to get this rom working for them!
EDIT
i just unplugged the phone to go out and the wi-fi almost immediately cut off and the phone hot rebooted, so i think it might have something to do with that.
just tried recovering the Modem again and it's not working while flashing off or on charge.
just figured out that if you turn off wi-fi before unplugging device from charge it doesn't make phone hot reboot when pressing the lock button
Promlem
I have a few problems:
1) The phone sometimes restarts itself, so I noticed a reboot after you connect your phone to the charger (Render Kernel 10)
2) Quick battery drain.
With WiFi seems to be no problems

What do you mean by good camera quality? Cause I'm contemplating switching over.

well obviously the stock camera is better but comparing this one to the other roms available it's better, if only it has a manual focus
is there working OIS (optical image stabilization)?
Does anyone know how to contact Lunarixus for feedback and contribute debugging?
His LOS16 release is amazing work! Finally having HWC is a godsend. However I have found a few odd behaviors after a fresh wipe & install, Gapps nano with Google Maps, Chrome.
Something is broken with the Geofencing API backend - it appears to be triggering regardless of fence radius. After opening and closing Google Maps with Location Sharing enabled, GMS calls GNSSLocationProvider and gets stuck in a endless polling loop with wakelock. (See screen-cap attachment)
Logcat reporting AVC {find} denied to servicemanager /dev/bind. Something to do with the gpsd daemon. This repeats endlessly and prevents the CPU from sleeping. Despite the kernel in fake-permissive: toggling setenforce from adb seems to solve the problem.
4658-4658 E/SELinux: avc: denied { find } for service=sensorservice pid=6111 uid=1021 scontext=u:r:init:s0 tcontext=ubject_r:sensorservice_service:s0 tclass=service_manager permissive=0

Occasionally touch events appear to be lost making the activity appear to be frozen. I see someone else already commented about this in a post before mine. Workaround by pressing the recent apps to cycle the activity to background then to front. If the touch event loss occurs while using the system UI, I have been unable to recover from this situation except reboot forcibly.

Inverted/Reversed Touch Screen
so after installing the ROM i flashed the image File to BOOT, it has only 2 options in TWRP for flashing image files : 1st. is boot - & 2nd. is recovery - which i selected boot and now i have a INVERTED AXIS Touch Screen, the inverted touch problem even exists in recovery and for an example when i swipe from left to right it gets swiped from right to left its like the screen is flipped... just touch wise, any solutions ?
i have a SM-G920F (Flat Galaxy S6 with TWRP 3.3.1.0)
thanks in advance

never mind i found a solution ;
so i tried the latest official firmware by downloading it from SamFrim tool but it just kept failing in the last stage of odin flashing so what i did was :
1.flash latest twrp (v3.3.1.0 at the moment)
2.installed a zipped "touchwhiz" rom
3.booted and went to dialer and dialed *#2663#
4.updated touch firmware and went back to twrp
5.wiped everything and enabled mtp and transferred Pico Gapps + LOS Rom (given at the first post) + HyperLOSFlat (which is in the telegram channel)
6.installed rom and then flashed HyperLOSflat.img
7.Reboot and waited for the system to boot then went back to twrp
8.installed gapps and rebooted
What the... When I'm installing GApps Aroma/Stock/Nano/Pico/Boku no Pico from OpenGApps, I have bootloop. IDK why, bc I'm installing firstly ROM, then kernel, and then zipped archive of GApps. And no errors also. Only average loading, but like 10 minutes, than 10 seconds of dark display, and reboot to recovery.
UPD: I fixed. If anyone will have bootloops after installing OpenGApps, then just install MindTheGApps. Here is the link. Firstly I installed ROM, then "su" addon from LineageOS, then MindTheGApps.

Anyone tired to flash?
So i have wiped everything except data-media before installing this, magisk and opengapps and yet i still get a long long bootscreen followed by a dark boot screen and then finally boot back to recovery (also the case with mindthegapps)
can anybody lend me a hand with this one? trying to install on a g920f
EDIT: never mind i completely forgot to flash the zerofltexx kernel lol
