hi , installed this rom but i still haven't network connection

Double boot when starting phone
Hello all together.
Yesterday I flashed the latest rom on my skomer.
So far everything runs smooth but I recognized one weird thing.
During boot (doesn't matter if a warm or cold start), the phone boots twice.
Means I see the Pin entry screen and after approx. 15s I see the boot animation again.
It does not matter if I enter the pin or not, it boots a second time at all.
After the second boot everything is OK.
This was a clean flash from theboegls prerooted image with normal pa gapps flashed.
Does anyone have a solution for this issue!
Thanks a lot,
Kubunter

Just installed the new nightly(4.4.4.101014) Everything is running smooth. Just wondering if there is a radio for android 4.4.4 and how do i get it if there is?

I read the forum and tried this code and it worked for me.
run this code in your terminal if you cant find terminal get if from playstore using wifi.
adb shell
su
find /efs/|while read s; do chown radio:system $s; done;
find /modemfs/|while read s; do chown radio:system $s; done;
chmod -R 777 /efs/
chmod -R 777 /modemfs/
reboot
After reboot your mobile data should be working

Camera not working
Thank you for your great work, hopefully devs are reading this subthread, too.
It would be nice, if following message would be referred on the first message, since many people have issues with network. I managed only to find all the information by very inconvenient googling:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55354795&postcount=414
This post is the Theboegl's relevant one:

After the newest nightly, camera stopped working. I will downgrade, but here are some details:
Model:

Running apps:
Nothing extraordinary
Exception class name:

Did you use the right clockworkmod mentioned on the main post? Also your firmware might be too new, therefore flashing this one might help:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40232503&postcount=43]

If I got it right it must be
- install odin and get cwm on pc
- get supersu and cm on your sd card
- reboot in download mode
- flash cwm on phone
- reboot in Recovery
- well i think you can backup already
- root with supersu
- reboot in Recovery
- wipe data/factory
- install
- reboot
I use 1010114
wifi and camera work here, but sim card seems not to be accepted
good use of hardware buttons after reflashing (this had issues before)
[did not install GApps, but that should not be a problem..?]
tried 10.2 from flxo and had the same problem with SIM

Double Boot
Hello all together,
I have a logcat of the problem, saved at pastebin.
As I´m a new user, I´m not allowed to post a outside link.
Is it possible that I will send someone who is able to post a link a PM?
The second boot happens around 22:44:54 o´clock
Something with a android process seems to be wrong.
Is anyone able to help?
Thanks a lot,
Kubunter

Android Lollipop?
Pushed fix for streaming YouTube should now work next nightly. Downloading source now to build recovery image. Thanks for waiting. I will try to solve the problems we have but I can't guarantee anything due to lack of device. I'm going to discontinue my work for ste devices soon. As long as it builds I will try my best to keep supporting them but fixing problems etc I can no longer continue.

There are still STE developers and I'm sure this one will get lollipop working if he can't I doubt we will see it , but lollipop might be a large merge and roms might have to rebase or start from scratch porting hardware workarounds and eventually bring back features.

intermittent network signal
Guys please help. I tried this ROM and it looks great but I'm loosing network signal almost every time I'm starting up navigation (Sygic) and I use it a lot. I don't loose it immediately, sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after 20 min. but the signal triangle finally goes black and doesn't come back after switching off navigation. This makes it unusable to me. I've seen people reporting problems with network signal so I guess it's not the app. issue. Sometimes it looks like I just loose data transfer (it shows no internet) but the signal bar shows that I have network. Some other time I was not moving at all but the signal bar was going up and down from max. to min. within 3 sek. After few minutes it stabilized. Something seems to be wrong with the antenna or modem, whatever is responsible for network signal.
And another thing, that looks to be related, I don't have any arrows and network type sign (2G/3G) showing if I do or don't have internet connection.
There were some posts talking about a fix for network problem by typing some commands somewhere but could someone explain it step by step how to apply it, if it is a working fix.
Thanks!

After a reboot the home button doesn't work until I enter my pin code, which comes like half an hour after boot! How do I fix it and does anyone else have this problem!?

I was about to throw this piece of **** phone away but i gave it a last chance with Vanir. It took me nearly 2 hours to flash the Rom , but i got it working.
First of I want to thank the dev for the work, I realy apreciate it. You managed to make this phone usable again, I hate Samsung so much for this crap Software they used for the Xcover2.
After using Vanir for one week (using not testing), here is what is not working for me:
-maximum volume for every call
-stock photo app crashes
-Location is very inaccurate, my guess is the cell tower fix is working and the GPS is not
-sometimes i cant shut off the phone, it freezes and i have to pull the battery
-phone is sometimes not going to sleep mode, i have to restart it
Everything else is working perfectly, this is thousand times better then the Samsung bull****. Oh, my carrier is Telekom(Germany).

No radio/SIM with GT-7710 XCover 2 on CM11
The forum forces me to open a new thread, apologies.
I gave the Vanir Skomer 4.4.4.101714 nightly a try but my broadband (S7710XXAND2)/IMEI is gone after reboot. Big difference to most reports I've read is that once I return to stock ROM all is fine again. In other words: the SIM was not damaged. Also the chmod/chown and move-files-from-stock trick doesn't improve anything. No idea what else I should try. I'm currently back on stock Android.
This is what I've done:
- Use Odin 3.09 to apply 20140112_cwm-6.0.4.6_skomer_fixed.tar.md5
- Boot into CWM
- Update to CWM 6.0.4.7 via cwm_skomer_test2.zip
- Wipe/Factory + Dalvik reset
- Install vanir_skomer_4.4.4.101714.zip (also tried 20131231_cm_11.0_skomer-ota-eng.flx.zip)
- Install pa_gapps-modular-pico-4.4.4-20141019-signed.zip
- Wipe/Factory + Dalvik reset
+ Copied {efs, modemfs} from stock to vanir (removed vanir's folder contents before)
+ Fixed file perms to 666, folders to 777, owner to radio:system
I couldn't find TWRP for Skomer or a more recent clockwork recovery. Just mentioning this because I've read a post that mentioned recovery is responsible for setting radio related stuff.
Ideas?

Network connection doest work for me to. I like this rom too and like to be it get worked! (Y)

Never mind, fixed my radio issue. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56293409&postcount=37

Cant call, says my phone is currently airplane mode
hello, just installed the latest (vanir_skomer_4.4.4.102814) and now my phone can't find network and says that airplane mode is on when i try to call. Airplane mode button says it's off and kills the bt and wifi if i turn it on, aka goes to real airplane mode.
Fix for this would be more than welcome.

[Q&A] Fixes and Questions

I have created this thread to clean up the forums a bit and to fix one confusion that most people in the forums which are saying which can mislead people to think that user means that when they don't mean that.
Q: What is the different between brick and soft-brick?
A: This is the issue I was talking about above.
A soft-brick is where you cannot access the kernel or/and rom and a brick is where you cannot access the bootloader so you cannot turn on your device unless you JTag it.
Q: Since I flashed a kernel I got stuck on the splash screen (Google logo bootloader screen), I attempted to reflash but it did not help.
A: Make sure the kernel is supported by the Rom's build number and Android version, to fix this you have to flash a supported kernel, remember that not all kernels are supported.
Q: Since I upgraded to Android 4.3 via OTA I noticed a large battery drain, WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!
A: On day 1 after the upgrade Google Backup will be using your battery for restoring your data so you will have to wait until it is done BUT then it will backup your settings such has brightness and app data but you can switch off "App Data" from the sync settings to stop Google Backup.
Q: A while/day later the issue is gone but Google Services is draining my battery.
A: That is actually Google Maps doing the draining, it is using the internet to locate you, to stop the battery drain go to Settings, Location settings, and disable WiFi & Mobile network location.
Q: Titanium Backup is not restoring my backups, what can I do?
A: Flash SuperSU v1.51 via recovery, this will fix the root issues and the Titanium Backup restore issues.
Q: Root is not working on Android 4.3, I'm panicking!!!!!!!!!!!!
A: Don't worry, flash SuperSU v1.51 has mentioned above to fix root since it now uses the SU Deamon due to the new security.
Q: The stock recovery says "No command.", what can I do?
A: Either keep pressing or hold volume up and power to unlock the menu.
This does not always work for certain users so I would try volume down and power so see if that does anything.
Q: How do I disable the OTA updater?
A: You will need root and an application, thanks to @joshuab227 for the information, the following is from joshuab227's post:
Here's how to disable the auto OTA download on any ROM
Install Autorun Manager from the Play store.
Then enter its recommended advanced mode.
Go into the settings and enable the following : system entries and system app disable.
Disable com.android.gsf.update.SystemUpdateService$Reciever under Google Service Framework

Q: The Play Store app and web store will not recognise my device!
A: @ColdEmbrace has got this issue and found the solution so that should explain why the start of the post starts how it starts:
After trying all of the above options my device was still not showing in the store. I went to this link.
play.google.com/settings
I clicked on one of my devices and clicked the update option this loaded my Nexus 4 onto the list it is now available on the web store.
Thanks everyone for the advice and I hope this helps people who are still having issues.

Q: My device says that I have no internet connection with a empty signal bar with or without a sim card.
A: The user @matt0401 was one of the victims with this issue and managed to fix this issue with a interesting solution:
Wow, I'm up and running! Weird fix though...
I installed the toolkit and downloaded the ROM, and was attempting to get into fast boot manually because trying to do it during the unlocking process in the toolkit wouldn't work. I thought I remembered the buttons for getting into fast boot from my old Gnex as being "hold power and volume up at same time". I tried this, and the phone went to the white "Google" logo and then vibrated, and then screen went black and the LED notifier at the bottom of the phone glowed red for about 2 seconds. The phone then rebooted, about 10x faster than before might I add, and when I was booted up I saw "No SIM detected... emergency calls only". This would infer my SIM slot was finally being detected, whereas before even with no SIM inserted I just got "No Internet Connection".
I popped my SIM in, rebooted, and the network is connected. Time to review 5 days of missed texts. Thanks for the hand!
tl;dr --> Anybody having this problem, try turning it off, and then turning it back on with the SIM inserted, holding POWER + VOL UP til it does this hard reset type fucntion. When rebooted, the problem should be resolved.

Q: I have to reenter my pin code for my sim every time, what do I do?
A: @lucker#1 you guessed it has the same issue has well but he wasn't the OP of the thread that the issue was discussed in but he did sure find a fix, the following is a quote from his post:
i've also had that issue the second day after receiving the phone. I removed the sim, put it back in but that didn't help - i looked at my sim card tray and i realized that a one side of the sim card chip was close to one metal side of the tray and i figured that could be the issue - so what i did is i took a stripe of adhesive tape and made sure they wouldn't touch - I haven't had the issue again and it's been more than 2 weeks.

Q: Since I installed Android 4.3 a few of my apps are force closing, what should I do?
A: You have to reinstall that application to fix the issue.
Q: I am getting screen flickering.
A: Flash the correct kernel which supports your Android build and version.
Q: Got a kernel panic, HALP!!!
A: That is pretty rare for the kernel to panic but you can actually easily trigger it, to fix it you must reflash the kernel (make sure it is the correct one!).
Q: Since Android 4.3 on YouTube using Slimport there is a blue graphical glitch, why is it doing that and how to fix it?
A: Since Android 4.3 there is some major bugs, improvements and fixes and the graphical glitch (I got this myself) is due to the new Software Encoder, there is no fix yet but you can go around it by using VPlayer as it apparently supports YouTube videos and it has Hardware Encoding.
If you have any questions and answers please post them here.

rtc clock not working properly
I cant change rtc clock time, I tried -w and -systohc, but nothing

Dsp manager also not working. When I change sound compression it works, but at next song it sounds normal, like if it wasnt activated.
RTC can't be set directly on all newer Qualcomm devices.
DSP Manager most likely will be changed in CM. Anyway its DSP Manager bug and not ROMs itself. So if you want look through CM JIRA and if there no such bug report. You can report it.

Ok, I'll report that. I also noticed that recovery backups dont have rtc time. I did some research on the internet and I found something about newer qualcomm devices have recovery time kept in a file in /data/time. I could check this by reading the file time_log.1.
I did know this coz one day recovery bacckups were changed from 1970 to 2014, but with wrong date, so I think I would have to do a full wipe, format data and system and reinstall the rom, I think this could work. I also read someting in the changelog like rtc showing correct or something like this. Maybe same time is kept coz I dont do wipes while installing a new nightly. I really appreciate your work, I love your rom.
It is set to 2014 in kernel. That what Samsung made in KK opensourced kernel. And dont be surprised if it will be set to 2014 next year. Day, month isn't changed forcefully. So thats why you see such date in recovery. While in normal boot mode time_daemon starts and sets date and time. So wipe don't change anything. These RTC changes related to normal boot mode only. Particularly to time_daemon.
And yes, recoveries like Philz support setting correct date.
Ok, thanks

First of all, thank you for a great ROM. The only problem I have, is when I am calling someone. The screen just goes black. Is there any trouble with the proximity sensor?
When I take the phone away from my ear the screen is supposed to light up right? Mine doesn't do that...
Thanks!

Hi, is screen mirroring working with CM11 nightlies?
Gesendet von meinem GT-I9506 mit Tapatalk
Hi!
I've been having an issue ever since I started using one of the first nightlies of this ROM: After a random time both my WIFI and phone signal icons turn orange and the proces Android OS starts draining my battery together with having no signal at all. Turning off WIFI at that point doesn't seem to work anymore but can be done by putting the phone in airplane modes. When I disable airplane modes and have my WIFI disabled I can browser through my phone network but Android OS still drains the battery. After I reboot everything is back to normal, as long as I leave my WIFI off.
- I've installed various nightlies and have had the same problem on all of them.
- I've done both a firmware update and a factory reset of my wireless router: Linksys E2000.
- I've both enabeld and disabled the Google Location reporting.
The problem still occurs and I can (with a random time) reproduce it. If anyone can help me debug or solve this problem that'd be great!
Assuming you have CWM in use as recovery, enter CWM. Do a format on /system from mounts menu. Then do a factory reset. Install latest nightly from SD and voila. That worked for me a while back.

Hi, I've installed the 20141106-NIGHTLY yesterday, everything was working great, I updated to the 20141107-NIGHTLY today and now I don't have notification sounds, vibration and light, most of the audio files I select under Notification Sound are detected as Unknown Ringtone, the battery notification light is not working too, I wiped and restored factor settings through recover and installed the 20141106-NIGHTLY but its still the same, changing the color of the light confirms that the notification light is still working but does not activate wen it should.
Nevermind, I cleaned all my setting and reconfigured, it solved the problem
Hi friends, how can we root this ROM?
Thanks
As other users in the thread about solks2 CM11, I am affected by thebrandom reboot thread. I thought it might help to let you know that those reboot often occur when using waze (while charging the phone in my car). Some suggest that a2dp should be disabled but I didn't find an option to disable it... Anyone managed to make google now work with bluetooth?

look guys
These solution is not mine i found it xD but i dont remember where sorry
-If wifi is mad with you
install "F320-Philz-touch_Cloudy" / Wipe dalvik cache then flash su-v2.40 (Do this step each time that the phone turns off ) maybe you will have to try this many times before it work
-If soft reboot when the screen is sleeping or when press power button
install "wake lock - PowerManager" set ~PARTIAL_WAKE_LOCK then go to options (in the nav bar) and set autostart on boot you can turn off notifications too
note: when you turn off the screen useing the power button it turns on back so you have to wait for until it shuts
2nd note: i'm just learning English (sorry)
And what about the rom?
Is there some news?
the Rom's download link is not work
okay i've found a fix fall pretty much every issue present in the f320k build. it's ridiculous and makes no sense, but it works for me and after working this out i haven't encountered a single problem apart from the battery drainage (i can probably get maybe 3 hours of light usuage, but im using some battery calibration app which i've never heard of but is supposed to work wonders) and the render kernel flashing but bringing all the old bugs back.
so basically what i did was factory reset the phone to jellybean (4.2.2 11E to be exact) via flash tool, attempted to install the omni lollipop rom. it worked, but no wifi, constant soft reboot, and no access to sd card within the rom. so i wiped that and gave this rom a try. for some reason, if you install any lollipop rom (so far ive tried ressurection remix and omni) straight after flashing JB, and then wipe that and run this rom, wifi works, no soft/hot reboots, and access to the sd card is present. it works vice-versa as well! flashing this rom, followed by Omni just fixes all the bugs (although the other two roms i tried do not have access to sd-card which is a bummer because all of my music and files are saved there).
after getting CM12 to boot and run fine, i created a backup of everything in TWRP in case something went wrong, which did happen.
while setting the device up, getting some apps installed, something triggered the wifi and hot reboot issue again. i wasn't sure what it was but there's no way i'd be cool with having to wipe the phone to stock jelly bean and redo this entire method to get the wifi fixed again, so i booted recovery, hit restore backup, and ONLY selected Modem in the things to restore. booted back up and its literally fixed the issues again. im still unsure of what's causing the bugs, but at least i know how to fix it and it only takes a minute and no data is lost at all.
i hope this helps anyone looking to get this rom working for them!
EDIT
i just unplugged the phone to go out and the wi-fi almost immediately cut off and the phone hot rebooted, so i think it might have something to do with that.
just tried recovering the Modem again and it's not working while flashing off or on charge.
just figured out that if you turn off wi-fi before unplugging device from charge it doesn't make phone hot reboot when pressing the lock button
Promlem
I have a few problems:
1) The phone sometimes restarts itself, so I noticed a reboot after you connect your phone to the charger (Render Kernel 10)
2) Quick battery drain.
With WiFi seems to be no problems

Most stable Lollipop/Marshmallow ROM?

Hi! I think I've tried every Lollipop/Marshmallow ROM out there, but I haven't found one as stable as KitKat ROMs (CM11/Stock). I just want a Lollipop/Marshmallow ROM that doesn't hang every time I open YouTube from recents (many apps suffer of that too), and with working WiFi (had this problem with CM13), and with decent battery life. CM13 is actually one of the most stable ROMs I've tried, but it had serious WiFi problems (it simply disconnects from the WiFi and then reconnects saying it doesn't have internet access, very annoying), some kind of TV-like static when booting and sometimes when unlocking the phone, and the recents cards sometimes got cut off (though this is not really a deal breaker). The only Marshmallow ROMs I haven't tried are BeanStalk and Mokee because they are based on CM, so I supposed they have the same problems. So, what's the most stable Lollipop/Marshmallow ROM you have tried? And can that ROM be used as daily driver?
Thanks!
Sorry for my English lol.
Which other Roms have you tried?

Exodus (5.0, will try 5.1), BlissPop, DirtyUnicorns, dhacker's unofficial CM12, Mokee (5.1), ResurrectionRemix, unofficial CM13...
EDIT: Tried Exodus 5.1, really slow.
MoKee
So far, so good (It's only been 24 hours since I've installed it) on the 17-01-29 build of Mokee here
Wifi has been solid with no issues, rom seems stable, and YouTube ran fine from recents.
Update: Had strange problem with downloading email attachments with both gmail and Yahoo mail. Back to stock KK for the time being.
Update: Turns out the above email problems had to do with permissions.

It doesn't even boot here, first time it booted but it said that encrypting my device failed (WTF?) and then rebooted to do a factory reset, and it wiped the system partition. xD
I installed it again without Gapps and now it won't do anything, it justs sits there in the bootanimation for several minutes and then reboots. Perhaps I didn't downgrade correctly? How did you downgrade? I used RSD Flasher, and it has worked fine for me in the past.

It took me awhile to find the procedure and files that I used to downgrade/upgrade, but I finally did. Thanks to Nobe1976, this method of going back and forth from KK to JB doesn't require a PC; There are 2 zip files that you can flash w/ TWRP to go back and forth. Here's the procedure and file links: http://www.droidrzr.com/topic/50096-how-tomobile-downgrader-flash-back-10-09-14-14/
I too thought Exodus was stable, but slow. I liked using MoKee 5.1, but I had an annoying problem with it that I couldn't solve: Every time I picked up my phone, there was a notification to sign back onto my WiFi network. It did so without asking for any credentials, but it got too annoying for me.
Right now, I'm using PacMan Rom (4.4.4), and it's been performing very well and is stable. Here's the link in case you wanna try: https://s.basketbuild.com/devs/pacman/moto_msm8960/KK/release

Thank you so much! That will save me so much headaches lol.
I'm using lastest CM11 snapshot, working fine, but I find the battery doesn't last as much as in CM12.1.
EDIT: I'm writing from Mokee 6.0! That method for downgrading works flawlessly!
Mokee feels better than CM12.1 except by that TV-like interference when you unlock the device, and I haven't tried the WiFi, but it looks okay.
Thing to remember while reading all of the below, I have an XT905, with a JBBL.
I'm currently using "cm-13.0-20161205-ilichva-xt907_jbb.zip" for my daily. The only repeated "fails" I have is where WiFi will disconnect, however, it only happens if I am not using it and the phone is asleep. One thing I have noticed is that this is the only ROM that actually does go into deep sleep for me. I'm only on Wifi at home for extended periods (ie when phone goes to sleep). This may be the reason the other ROMs don't loose WiFi, because they don't go into deep sleep for me. My Wifi disconnects, and never is connected without internet. I just go into Wifi, select my network and say connect, and its all good again.
Previously (a few years back) I was using BlissPop (Lollipop), but did not use the latest build. I had better luck with "BlissPop-v3.9-moto_msm8960_jbbl-OFFICIAL-20150829-1751.zip"
Others I have used (Lollipop) and found pretty stable (ie used as daily for some time) were:
CARBON-5.1.1-Final-moto_msm8960_jbbl.zip
Resurrection-Remix-LP-v5.5.8-moto_msm8960_jbbl.zip
and for KitKat
LS-KK-MileStone-3.2-moto_msm8960_jbbl.zip
With the CM13 ROM I have a 64GB SDCard, F2FS cache partition, Xposed, Viper, a Linux Swap Partition (512mb) and personally find it to be the most stable ROM I have used (apart from WiFi) on the phone. Some of the Lollipop (bliss pop included) could not run my live wallpaper (Celestial Bodies). I have also noticed that at least one app using the CPU (a Solitaire game attempting to find a winnable deal manually) actually runs a lot faster in CM13 than in the others.
If YouTube bothers you, maybe you should try the alternatives such as New Pipe or OGYouTube etc etc. Actually, I just tried YouTube from the recents, and it worked fine for me.
As for the TV Static on boot (just before animation) I have had that since I first unlocked the bootloader; I thought It was normal. It has been independent of any ROMs and it happens for me on every ROM.
Mokee 5.1
Sorry for going off-topic but would any of you guys happen to have a copy of the last LP Mokee build that was released on 4PDA ?
MK51.1-xt907_jbbl-20160420-ilichva.zip
The link is unfortunately dead and I can't find a mirror anywhere. I'd like to save a copy just in case anyone asks in the future. If any of you have, would you please share privately with me? Thanks a lot!

The TV-like static seems to be something with the JBBL, it happens even in recovery for me (when the recovery locks and turns off the screen). About the WiFi, it disconnected even if I was playing a game or using the internet, but I live in a place where I don't have WiFi anymore, so it's not a problem.
Indeed, Mokee 6.0 and CM13 are the most stable ROMs I've tried, even more than CM11, except for the bugs said above, even the battery lasts more.
BTW, how do you increment swap? I've tried several methods, but it still shows 256MB.

I personally have only seen it happen when the I wake the device up. Never has it occurred while I am using it. Last night I was searching for another thing in Xposed, and I saw a lot of Wifi type modules. Though most were about turning wifi off when the screen goes off; but I wasn't looking for Wifi stuff, so maybe you could find something that helps.

I tried Mokee, and I cant remember why, but it wasn't OK as a daily for me. To be honest, I would find it hard to go back to a ROM (ie less than MM) that does not have privacy guard. I also forgot to mention on my phone I have Adaway and Lucky Patcher and > 10 boot scripts (such as swap, IO optimisations, trim command, disabling media scanner on boot ... etc etc etc)

I am guessing by "increment" you really mean implement? Assuming that, I use a boot script. Currently I use a swap partition, so, for that I:
1. create a linux swap partition on the SDCard using Minitool Partition Wizard
2. Put the card into my phone, boot it and Find out the partition details (eg "/dev/block/mmcblk1p2" on my card now)
3. create a boot script to enable it on boot. The meat of the script is:
Code:
swapon /dev/block/mmcblk1p2;
Previously I have used a swap file, which is actually more complex. Something like:
Code:
location=/mnt/media_rw/sdcard1/data/local/tmp;
file_name=swapfile.dat;
desiredsizemb=512;
dd if=/dev/zero of=$location/$file_name bs=1048576 count=$desiredsizemb;
swapon -p 16000 $location/$file_name;
Hope the above helps, and let me know if you get it working.

Mokee has be running pretty solid here, I'll try CM13 and/or BeanStalk in a few days, though.
About swap, if I run "free" in the Terminal it shows it has swap memory, and I tried several methods (well, apps) to increment it but no luck. I'll try yours in a few days.
About the WiFi and the TV-like static, I bet is some difference between xt905 and xt907.

Well, the swap you currently see is ZRam, which is a compressed partition of memory used as a swap partition. ie not a file or physical partition on an sdcard (as I use above, in addition to ZRam). To increase ZRam, you loose available memory. That can be simply changed with the following lines:
Code:
echo 1 > /sys/block/zram0/reset;
OR
swapoff /dev/block/zram0;
echo "201326592" > /sys/block/zram0/disksize;
mkswap /dev/block/zram0;
swapon /dev/block/zram0;
The number is 1024*1024*target_size (MB eg 600). I think you have to do it at boot time or you end up with device or resource busy messages.
Or you could use Kernel Adiutor - Virtual Memory
That actually reminds me, one bug I have noticed on all the CM13 ROMs I tried, was that the init.d did not work, I had to use Kernel Adiutor to implement it; and I have a lot of scripts.

Performing well here, too! It has the same bugs CM13 had, but I feel is a bit snappier.
Is it just me, or is the default swappiness set at 100? (cat /proc/sys/vm/swappiness)
I actually tried lowering it to the android default of 60, and the ROM felt less "snappy", so put it back at 100

I have made a change to build.prop, which APPEARS to have bettered my Wifi stability.
Now, its only been a few hours, so its pretty early to say :fingers-crossed: it has definitely fixed it, but normally within this time, I would of expected to loose my Wifi connection, but it hasn't. :highfive:
Also, the change I made, I have read is actually only set at build time and thereby built into the ROM and not read from the build.prop.
The build.prop setting is: wifi.supplicant_scan_interval. My RAZR had it set to 30, while my N5 was set to 15. I have set it down to 5 (for testing purposes ) Searching the net will bring up heaps of explanation of what the setting is for (and also info saying its only a build time property)
So in summary, I have set the following build.prop
Code:
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=5
And my WiFi has been solid for the past 3 hrs (normally in sleep except for being woken every 10 minutes to check its still ok ). Let me know if it works for you.

Will try this next weekend (I don't have WiFi right now). I hope it works lol.
EDIT: It didn't. :crying:

Touch stops working.

Okay, so... I'm a noob at this. Apologizing up first if I somehow did something wrong or not properly.
Issue:
I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5. About a year ago I managed to get root access and boot LineageOS on my device, and it was working just fine. 2 months ago I decided to try out resurrection remix oreo. It also worked fine... but then I decided to upgrade the rom... Instead of upgrading (by flashing the new build) I went into recovery (TWRP) did an advance wipe and wiped the entire system, data, cache etc... and just loaded the rom like new with Gapps and Magisk.
For some reason TWRP doesnt work well with Aroma Gapps... and I often like to customize what Gapps get installed. It took me a while to figure out how to make a gapps config file and where to put it.
So after booting the new os everything seemed to work fine. Except! Whenever someone called me, my touchscreen would not respond... I couldnt answer calls or even end them. I had to wait till the call ended so I could use the phone again. So I tried clearing the Phone app's data and see if that would help. (It didnt)
I decided to wipe my device again, do a factory reset. So I booted into recovery only to find my touch screen wasnt working again! I pushed the power button to turn off the screen and turn it on back again and my touch worked. (This was strange)...
So I went ahead and cleared everything again, this time I decided to downgrade and go back to LineageOS 14.1. and now..... it's worse.
The touchscreen goes on and off when it feels like it. It doesnt happen with just calls anymore.
The touchscreen would work but the navigation buttons (Recent apps and back button) seem to work.
and then there are times where the touchscreen would work but the navigation buttons wouldnt work.
sometimes both wont work.
I also get a bootloop issue.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Powered by Android boot up screen usually loops for a good while and then youd get the Lineage os boot animation. Sometimes it comes on as normal.
I know you guys may need a logcat. So ive grabbed one. I'm not sure how to attach because I dont see any option to and apparently after 10 post, only then I can post links.
I also tried flashing a new Kernel but that didnt help...
Again I'm apologizing if i did anything wrong or improper. If you need anything else, I'll be willing to provide more.
Thank you!!!
Link to Logcat:
nofile.io/f/sEA03NPv8rx/2018-06-26-17-47-11.txt
I also used GAPPS Super package with a config file for custom gapps installation.

EDIT: Ive noticed whenever my nav buttons dont work, the recent apps button is lit but very slightly, the back button doesnt light up at all.

I'm just going to suggest something...
Have you tried the following?
1) Go to Developer options...
2) Then the Drawing Section (or Rendering Section)...
3) Locate and Disable/Turn Off the "Hardware Overlays".
It looks like many Samsung Devices experience this issue (or similar) and is, unfortunately, misdiagnosed as a hardware issue (though it can be Hardware Related).
Sometimes, without any "rhyme to reason", the device can get a bit confused between the use of Hardware or Software settings and acts like its in a "Panic" like state bouncing between the two.
The above steps just manually tells the device to use GPU for all/any screen adjustments.
There's no guarantee that this will work but, I've seen it work for most individuals who has/have/had experienced the same/similar issue.
Good Luck!

Apparently it was already off... I tried turning it on. Will use it during the day and see what's up. Also I remember whilst the logcat was running. If I tapped the screen it would show something like "pause audio"... I'll grab some screenshots later.
And as for touching the navigation buttons. It shows Google input method anytime I touch the buttons. I'll grab some screenshots to show specifically. Have to head to work
Okay so if I touch the screen, log records the entry as
AudioService Stream Muted, Skip Playback.
Anytime I touch the navigation buttons it shows
GoogleInput onFinishInput(): Dummy InputConnection bound
GoogleInput onStartInput(): Dummy InputConnection bound

Your best bet is to post this within the following Q&A thread that's specific to the S5 and Variants.
