I bought it from a vendor named Delta Mobiles on Amazon. It was about 15% more expensive than Clove, but I don't have to worry about imports and it was on Amazon prime so it has easy and free returns if I need to return. Total cost was $550. They ran out of stock after I bought.
Using on AT&T and it works great so far, but I've only had it 1 day. But very promising, might turn out to be my favorite phone ever because it's a great combo of reasonable size and flagship specs.

I found DeltaMobiles on Amazon. Its $535.00 for White Z3C with Prime Shipping. And Chase freedom gives 5% back making it $508.25 shipped. Too bad the Green Color isnt in stock atm. I wonder how the warranty will be handled in the USA..
I think I'll sleep on it over the weekend and make my decision then. Thanks for the info!

From what i could tell on eBay there were a couple CDMA phones.
As well the GSM ones all appear to be the exact same phone as the Canadian one R800a just unbranded so i'd guess root access would have to be done via gingerbreak, however as mine arrives monday i'll update if this is the case.

Awesome phone at crazy price. I also got the dock and it looks very good.
I got it on ebay for $450 (item number 120725728032) and add a 10% back in ebay bucks as I bought it before the IE9 + Window 7 8% bonus ebay bucks ended. Very sweet deal at $405 + $7 for almost overnight shipping. I think the seller didn't care for much profit and also he didn't mention R800a prominently to get attention.
It's not much thicker than X10 and is actually a little shorter. The four buttons it has should have been on Arc along with the front camera. Will be using it for a week or two before I pass it on to my son while I go back to my Arc.
I have one of these coming tomorrow (ebay, ~$500 shipped). Is there any difference in software compared to the Verizon model? Is it going to be primarily stock 2.3?

I have to admit was losing interest in this device. Now that there is a release date and a better than expected price point I'm beginning to regain some interest though I already have the LG G5 and Nexus 6P.
If there are no major flaws and it performs like the specs suggest, this will be a killer device at $400.

That's what agitates me. The darker colors (black/grey) are usually the more popular options in the US so you'd think they'd opt to ramp up production on those instead of the gold.

I'm guessing the $400 price tag over $450 is because we get no headphones, screen protector, and case in the box.

As soon as I saw the deal, I had to battle with myself over ordering and possibly having the order cancelled or driving myself across the street to Best Buy. I decided to try and I got lucky for once with this phone. I've literally cancelled 4 orders that got delayed so even though I didn't want this color, I finally got the phone and for a steal.

I've considered this too but with the phone plagued with build quality issues isn't it a risky move. The warranty doesn't apply on imported phones.
Have you had any problems or are aware if amazon UK would accept a return if something goes wrong?

That's fair enough and have been fortunate to actually have no hardware issues, with only the few niggles that are part of the early release.
I'm actually not aware if Amazon UK would and me being me, would have just seen what happens should it occur.

In terms of warranty for UK I think we are stuffed. I got sick and tired of waiting for a release date and we still haven't heard anything. I haven't actually checked but maybe amazon UK will be willing to take it back if something is wrong.
