ha ha. It means like 70+mbps download speeds, multiple carriers (meaning more bandwidth available), and moar Geez. This is differentiated from Clearwire converted sites which are also B41, however, these new 8T8R radios are the bees knees and this is what will have Sprint smoking the competition when they're all fired up......then LTE-A will come around next year with a simple flip of the switch. It's a good time to be a Sprint customer.

on 1 bar of signal/-107dbm I get 20 - 30mbps... I live in the outskirts of dallas.

yeah, buddy. They have turned on a few in the Madison area. The one that serves my work location too. Not 70s yet, but pretty darn good:

Not sure what that would tell you. If you want site IDs, GCIs, addresses, then head over to S4gru.com chip in a couple bucks and be amazed at the information available on the Network details.
The point of this thread is to tell people that 8T8R radios are being turned on and the speeds are amazing. I'm sure there are sites near you being turned on. Just have to get out there with Signalcheck and look. However, Signalcheck will not yet predict if you are on B41. That'd be specific to GCI output for your market, as the B41 GCIs are greater than B25/B26 by a certain value to the GCI. So there's your hint if you're an avid Signalcheck user ?

yes, I'm fully aware. Here's the thing though, currently Signalcheck can NOT predict 8T8R B41 reliably. Mike will add support once he can predict it, but he can't currently. He figured out B26 prediction, yes based on the trailing 1x or xF GCI endings. Not B41 8T8R yet for all devices. Someday he will as we learn more. Right now, engineering screens are all we have to use. Or learn the GCI pattern for your market then add 1450 to that GCI, so there's nothing Mike can do with the information he's able to access from the phone.
All this is largely irrelevant (just helps identify where your signal is originating as long as you add notes to each tower in Signalcheck), basically anything over the 27 mbps max down from B25/26 is B41.

Phoenix, AZ Evo users 4G is available in certain parts.

Tonight I was seeing massive service outages around the valley when I was driving around. So I started wondering what was going on, sure enough Sprint and Clear have been putting 4G in certain areas and upgrading parts of the network. If you visit Clear website and zoom into Phoenix you will see some spots of 4G. The only reason I knew this was recently updated was because Sprint doesn't show this coverage yet, and Clear doesn't have Arizona or Phoenix listed as areas with the coverage. Enjoy guys!
So to anyone of the Phoenix area that has been waiting, it's finally coming. Will post photos soon

The map you had is correct but when you zoom out its more accurate. The actual areas are around 7st and Greenway Rd/Bell Rd to 7th Ave Greenway Rd/Bell Rd.
The Clear website showed coverage around Dobson Ranch in Mesa so I tried to connect at Dobson and Guadalupe on Monday, no dice.
Crazy how we don't even have *any* word of 4g availability in the Phoenix; at least there's some unofficial progression. Honestly, all I hope for is some coverage in Tempe.
Can't complain though, not like I'm paying any extra for 4g now anyways ...
That's the beauty of Wimax, it's open and that is the reason why many like it better then LTE. It does not have to be official or confirmed coverage. If Clear shows 4G in a spot, your 4G Sprint device will get to use it.
is anyone having trouble connecting to 3g?? i haven't been able to connect all day. Im in Tempe and im not catching any 4g.
There is a ClearWire Tower, Wideband Comm? (some wireless Broadband spot) in Mesa Main/Dobson-AlmaSchool. AT&T is leasing that tower too feed with T1s the last time I was there (about 6months ago).
No 4G @ I10 - Elliot.
Popped into downtown Mesa about Mesa Dr and Main, connected to 4g with Fair signal, 1-2 bars, was getting around 4mbps down. Said it was connected to Sprint. If that what I was getting with fair to poor signal I can't wait to see what it's like with better coverage.

He's clearly on 4g with full signal bars.
My 4g speeds are hit and miss here in San Antonio, Tx. At home I used to get 10-12Mbps. Now I usually get 5-8Mbps. Here at work I used to get close to 5Mbps with 1 - 2 signal bars. Sometimes I barely get 1Mbps with the same signal, other times it is pushing barely 3Mbps. My signal strength hasn't increased or decreased significantly at least.
Again, there is already a thread about slow data on Sprint here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933900
It's a nationwide issue.
I miss being in 4g coverage. It was basically wifi on the go.
Although the latency would make it respond a second or so later..

I drove truck across country both 4g and 3g speeds varied depending on population density and even that sometimes didn't matter. Now I sit at home and rarely use 3g 4g doesn't exist but of course we pay for it....It's like paying a huge bill for something I rarely use..At home I'm on wifi.

the seriously you're better off going to another carrier. I like sprint, yes the 4g speeds are not as consistent as I would like, but most errors i see on XDA are user-based because of ignorance (i.e. restoring data from a completely different rom via CWM, SMH), which i believe you have plenty of. Do some fact checking and you'll see that Sprint has the best data plans for the money available.
Stop *****ing and go to Verizon.

It's a whole lot less cluttering when you post the speed.....we honestly don't care/need a screen shot when a (3G xxx / xxx) format works 1000x better
For the third time, yes it's a network issue. And yes there's already a thread about it. First page.
i fix my problem with mines. i just turned of my phone for about 15minutes. now iam back to 5-6mbps. for a few days i was at 1-2mbps.
well the only time I tried 4G was at CES - and it was slower then the 3G - and since Sprint dont have it anywhere but they still always advertise it all the time around my town and its not even in this state!
that sucks almost as much as waiting between posts and just to post in the development section
Dont know if this helps, but it did me...
All these roms are developed in their own home...so the PRL is not for your surrounding area....
I live in New York, so when I did a test at speedtest.net it showed me in Kansas...I updated my PRL and my location was back in NY and my test speed doubled.
Does this make sense?
mike

If there was any question about EF02 4G speeds...

Even though the WiMax baseband radio is still DH24 on the Epic, I believe the rest of the newer RIL code makes a dfference. My best 4G speed test I've ever gotten was around 7Mbps at Arrowhead Stadium, which I believe has its own dedicated WiMax MBSS. I decided to do a test in Overland Park with full 4G signal. Here is the result, and multiple tests were in the same ballpark:

Uh, no, I posted that. It is definitely throttled at 1 Mbps. While it says 1.10, it says that because their QOS implementation has to normalize the throughput until it is steadily at 1 Mbps. Since this is a cellular technology, their base station can compensate for signal quality variations by changing modulation and symbols per second to achieve the desired throughput.

One of my issues with the S7E is its wifi was much slower than my Note 5.
My iPhone 7+ hits 600+ up and down on our wave2 AC wifi network here.
The S7E had fast LTE though. Fastest speedtest (Verizon) I recall was around 130 down and 50 up. That's smoking for LTE but bad if you don't have unlimited. LOL

I was able to hit 536Mbps, but i'm pretty far from my router. When my kid wakes up ill get close and see the max speed. It says the link is 833mbps

I am actually anxious to see how this thing does in a couple of months. Im on AT&T and i live just outside of Indianapolis which, from what i understand, is the first market AT&T is launching 5g in this summer.

Indy might be high on the list but Dallas is first. They are already testing in Dallas

The link speed is all over the place. The wifi app only goes to 866 but it sometimes pegs the meter and goes over 999. LOL
Getting great speeds on wifi. Similar speeds to my 2016 macbook pro! The wifi radio on this is excellent. Haven't tried lower signals to see how it fares yet.
