Nice find! That page is all kinds of confused. Source still hasn't been posted and there's nothing official on the Sprint site. It also said it started 9/24/2014, which is doubtful given no source, etc. When linking through to the "how to update" it says NE5 and NI4 listed in the same sentence.
Regardless, hopefully we see this all happen soon. I'm also hopeful that the changelog is actually more than that.
sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5

From my understanding this is just a minor security update and nothing more. L is what I'm interested in, hopefully will be here this year.

If history has been any indicator, and I've been with Sprint for like 4 years now, I wouldn't expect to start seeing ota end user confirmation until about 2 1/2 weeks to a month after its alleged release :/ Our American carriers and their sluggish staggered rollouts lol

I had a chat with a Sprint Representative, and she said that they had no knowledge of a update on the 24th and the we should be updated in October.

Yeah, looking like a goof on Samsung's part. No source, no announcement as far as I have seen.

This is not available OTA or through Kies. Also Sprint CSR's are denying it has been released. So I think it hasn't been released.

Sprint subscribers using Samsung Galaxy S5 can now download the official Android 4.4.

Samsung India has confirmed that the Jelly Beam update for Galaxy S III is no longer rolling out in India. The update reportedly contained bugs and was creating issues for those already updated, thus Samsung has stopped the update.

I'm starting to hate Samsung even more now. Wondering if purchasing the Galaxy S3 was a mistake and a big one at that, this being my first android phone. To anyone thinking about buying the Galaxy S3 or any other samsung device for that matter, please don't. Samsung's headed the Apple way, and we all know Apple sucks major d**k. Samsung also hasn't release the souce code for the Exynos, resulting in no stable aosp roms for the international version.

Exactly. While Samsung Exynos aren't as dev friendly as Qualcomm , etc, atleast they are way ahead of most other Manufacturers when it comes to updating our phones or atleast giving enough leaks.

Sprint Galaxy S5 Android L 5.0 Update

So we have seen our friends at SAMMOBILE playing with a Samsung Galaxy S5 sporting Android L 5.0, is it possible that we will see an OTA Update soon for our Sprint variant the SM-G900P? Or will we have to wait for the next 6 months for our Lollipop?
Well, not so long ago a leaked document (SEE PICTURE) from Samsung dated October 5th, 2014 showed an schedule of different Samsung devices that will soon be getting an OTA Update dubbed KTU84P (Phase 2). Notice that our carrier variant SM-G900P is not on this list, which leads me to believe that we will have to wait a little longer, perhaps until early next year.
What are your thoughts about this? Can you wait for the candy or will you ROOT your device and have a taste before the OTA it's released to us? Let's hear what the masses have to say!

Lollipop coming to NA Galaxy devices NOW

Hey Guy,
I have a friend that works for the mobile division of BestBuy and he saw an email that Samsung sent them that says Lollipop should be released within a few days. The email doesn't specifically give that information but he says it shows instructions on how to update the demo devices to Lollipop and how to reinstall the retail demo software after the update. He said usually those kind of emails are sent within days of the actual updates which would mean that most of the units on demo (Note 4, S5, Alpha and possibly Note 3) should be getting 5.0 within a few days. This update affects DEMO units which are not carrier branded which could mean, as usual, some carriers might keep that update for testing until they are comfortable it is fully compatible with their network.
This is good news for us, as Samsung has already started pushing Lollipop to some European countries.
I say mid February
BAD ASS NOTE 4
Possible, depending on the carrier. I think T-mo pushes the updates quite quickly
The T-Mobile Note 2 I had earlier was still on Jelly Bean. Is Lollipop coming to T-Mobile Note Devices anytime soon?

I read the galaxy s5 will get lollipop first early January, note 4 "soon after".

It's funny how several people can read the same articles and interpret it VERY differently. Samsung has announced THEY will be rolling out Lollipop...this means unbranded devices. Then one of the articles uses words regarding US carriers as "could" and "as early as January" adding the disclaimer that the carriers will do whatever they want regarding testing and timelines. So before you all continue fighting over vaporware, research all the articles on KitKat and Jellybean that all had the same wording, people still posting "We will haz JB tomorrow" and then the US carriers releasing an OTA 2 months later. Granted Sprint and T-Mobile are usually the firsts in the US carrier line because they do not have to worry about unlocking and relocking a bootloader without bricking devices on an OTA....so rather than fight...just wait...be patient for that new Knox loaded Lollipop update.
I will be cleaning the disrespectful posts from this thread and expect those who posted in such a manner to accept this as an official warning...do not do so again!

[Confirmed] Verizon Nexus 6 on March 12th with 5.1 - 5.1 for us too?

So according to this the Verizon Nexus 6 will come with 5.1 Lollipop. Does this mean that Motorola will rollout Lollipop to the DT around this time? And will it be 5.1 Lollipop?
Verizon's Nexus 6 could arrive very soon http://www.engadget.com/2015/02/27/verizon-nexus-6/ via Engadget Android
Update: Its been confirmed that the Nexus 6 will drop on Verizon tomorrow and with 5.1 Lollipop. No word on a locked down BL though.
Google's Nexus 6 will finally reach Verizon on March 12th http://www.engadget.com/2015/03/11/google-nexus-6-for-verizon/ via Engadget Android
While the Nexus 6 has been confirmed to have 5.1, no word has been given about the DT being upgraded to 5.1 or any other version of Lollipop as of yet.
So according to what?
Sorry forgot to attach the link - OP updated
I'm hoping we are updated by then, but I seriously doubt that it will be 5.1, most likely 5.0.2 which has been cycling through the Moto line.

True, we most likely get 5.1, I just don't think this update. Most likely the next update, which should be faster once we are on lollipop.

Nope... U think Verizon sits n adds bloat n release the software? Nope.... They give the apps that need to be added to Moto's software Developers... the Verizon framework is allover the System partition on the turbo, so its not just adding a bunch of apps its integrated deep... Then Motorola makes loads of builds with one build a day n test the siftware on prototype phones... Once they feel the software is stable enough then send it to Verizon for approval... If Verizon is not satisfied with the bloat, they reject it and Motos gotta start adding the bloat n test it out again...
Not holding my breath on any updates soon on the Turbo. This phone has been out for over half a year now with nothing in the works. For a near stock phone I'm not sure why it's taking a back seat to all of these other devices that are getting Lollipop. So much for my decision to go with a Motorola device because of a so-called quick update schedule.

Nothing in the works eh? So there have been NO updates then?
Oh and its been 4 months, but what's rounding it up by another two gonna hurt? It makes it more dramatic.
Everyone wants Lollipop, but doesn't care that it is less stable than Kitkat. Lollipop is just another ICS repeat. ICS didn't start becoming truly stable until 4.1, which Google for some reason deserved a name change. It took forever for devices to update to ICS, and by the time some did, Jellybean was out. Lollipop is a full point release, and major Android overhaul. This is not a 4.0 -> 4.1 -> 4.3 -> 4.4 transition. This is a 4.4 -> 5.0 transition and major parts of Adroid have been reworked. It isn't just a theme. It hasn't been a smooth launch. Verizon is strict with their testing, and we all know that. They are not going to let an OS less stable than its predecessor pass testing on one of their flagship devices. Despite what you want to believe, the Turbo is their specific flagship and they will want it to be the most stable.
Hey, I want Lollipop too. However, Im willing to take the instability with it. Verizon apparently is not after seeing how it fared on the X. The truth has always been out there, no matter how much people want to ignore it: If you want the ultimate network and stability, you got Verizon. If you want bleeding edge software on your devices, you go elsewhere.
So to be frank, anyone who bought the Turbo expecting blazing fast updates should blame their own misconceptions.
You can get excited about two minor updates with imperceptible bug fixes but I'm referring to OS updates.

Then you shouldn't be on Verizon. Verizon has had a few quick updates over the years, but it doesn't erase all the slow ones.
This is nothing new.
It sucks, but sometimes the bitter truth is what people need. I only stick with Verizon because I am potentially on call 24/7 and my phone at work is tied into my cell phone. I need a reliable carrier and due to where I live, where I travel, and where I work, Verizon is the most reliable.

By far most reliable for me. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the concept of XLTE or how it ties in with VoLTE but since the DT had it's second VoLTE update I haven't dropped one call and with XLTE I'm on LTE 97% even underground here in Chicago. And I make a lot of calls everyday. We all want updates as soon as possible but as long as what we have works then I can wait.

7.1.1 is coming !

Hey everyone
I heard the Android 7.1.1 update for Galaxy S7 & S7 edge is in testing at carriers and is just about to come for us
Anyone heard when exactly ?
The Beta testers will probably get it first. Release date is probably somewhere near february or even march.
I'm starting to seriously doubt if 7.0 will ever come. I rather stick to MM right now as not much dev been going for the Google Pixel.
