no internal sd card is disabled for data. only external sd is used for data.
internal sd is reserved for apps only.
it is done by google. right now we cant access it for camera.
spice dream uno problem
My Spice dream uno is running on 5.1.1 version.
Right now my all phone call remains blank while outgoing and incoming as well.It is working on speakerphone. Phone is in warrany period.I had reset but no change.Please advice for some setting

Hello i have gone and bought a 2gb memory card for my phone?
Is it possible to make the card default for things like Bluetooth
And when installing apps it saves on the memory card instead of the phone?

Whenever you go to install an App it will prompt you whether you want to install it on the device or the storage card. Whether the app will work from the storage card will depend on the app.

Yes i have noticed this and thats a little good new.
But my main one i need the Bluetooth to download its data directto my storage card.
My main reason i work in a big office and one of the lads have bluetooth device on pc and sends me pretty large files.
But my phone memory cannot handle it and need it to go straigh to my Storage Card.

i've had an 8gb sandisk mem card for a few years. used to use it in the n95 then when i got the HD in Nov i formatted it and have been using it in there ever since. I've always had heaps of files and programs with no probs, then today i tried to access stuff via total commander and it's all gone bar a folder which is called Opera cache.
all the camera pics, installed pics, music, etc has disapeared, the card when used in a adaptor wont read in the computer, and when looking up settings via the memory function on the phone it says 'not installed'.
i'm running the Rom by Davideuck V7 MSVC for about a month with no probs previously.
can anyone tell m what the hell has happened? is my mem card stuffed or can i somehow get the data back? what concerns me is that the HD mem program wont read it nor will 2 of my computers
I had the same thing... Didn't manage to recover. I did have all of the info stored on my PC so I didn't actually lose anything, as such.
I never did find the cause or recover the data. I suspect that you will have to go to a professional data recovery agent if you want the pics back.

I dont really know where to post this but i figured the general area would be good. So dont get on me about it.. anyways I rooted my mt3g, partitioned my sd card with ubuntu, and installed the G1-DDR-V1.5.5 which is a jac-ski rom? not sure but anyways everything is working fine its working fast, no blurry screen, no errors.
The problem I am having is with the sd card.
1. I cant take the SD card out or my phone freezes. (Im guessin the rom is running off of my sd card?)
2. I put my music and pictures on the sd card but they dont show up in the music or the album app.
3. Now when i take a picture with my camera it saves it in a DCIM folder so I even tried putting all my pictures in that folder since the phones obviously reading that folder but they still dont show up. I dont know what im missing here.
I know its nothing major and the phone is working fine its just annoying me lol so if anyone has had this problem, knows anything about it, or can suggest something it would be greatly appreciated.

Since receiving the kitkat update OTA my sd card has completely vanished, can't view anything on there or save anything to it. I know this is a new thing that Google has brought in but it's a bit annoying seeing a lot of my work is saved to the sd card along with family pics etc.
Can anyone advise me on a way to fix it so that I can save to the sd card as well as view what is on there?
At the moment the phone is completely stock but I am willing to root etc (again) to get the full use out of the phone until (if) Google remove this new plan to get us all using cloud.

Thanks for that! I don't mind rooting etc to get it working, only really want it as the storage on my phone is basically full and I use the camera a lot for my tattoo work etc so try using the card to save the phones memory, easily transport it into pc's etc and be able to view everything on my phone as and when needed, helps for a bit of advertising if people ask for a look at a portfolio then I've always got some work on hand at all times. Hopefully Google will change their way and then I'll happily unroot again as I don't really need the phone rooted or custom roms etc, I keep that all on my old s2 that my son plays with now
Update...I gave that link a try, rooted the phone using cf root and then tried the app, unfortunately sd card still not showing so still can't view what's stored to it so now looking into custom roms until (hopefully) a fix arises or Google change it again

Actually, I tried SD card to set as internal storage, used the app you mentioned here -- can't remember it's name... some kind of Launcher, so it's possible that though it didn't work on my phone, but has made some changes to my phone are cannot make back to the original factory settings -- I guess this is why I can see what should be hidden system process... I downloaded the ... Launcher from Google Play Store, so it is legal!

Actually, I had to make a Factory Recovery again. Somehow I needed to recover some files including videos. I had to buy an app to can do this... but videos cannot be recovered only if the phone is rooted...

This pile of sh*t copies all my photos into these folders from my SD card. I want to stop it.
