[Leak] Early benchmark of future ARM chip... - Hardware Hacking General

Hi guys
One of my friends today just receive some unknown sample product (He's working on a labs)
+Snap 810 @2,2GHz (development board)
+Tegra K1 64bit Denver Dual Core @2,5 GHz
+Tegra K1 32 bit Quadcore
Benchmark result of Snap 810 vs everything (early beta kernel complied with GCC4.9 and benchmark in 64bit if available)
Single core Snap 810 vs [email protected] 2,5Ghz: increase 25% in single thread and 50% Multithread
+vs Tegra K1 64bit: 28% loss in single thread and 50% faster MultiThread
+vs Tegra K1 32bit: 12% faster in single thread and 34,5% faster in Multithread (2 thread vs 8 thread )
+vs Apple A7: 13,5% loss in singlethread and 86,5% faster in multithread (Same, 2 thread vs 8...)
+vs Apple A8: 20% loss in singlethread and 71% faster in multithread (same thing, 2 vs 8)
And Snap 805 is = with Tegra K1 Dual Core 64bit in perf
Also I have benchmark of Adreno 430(driver and chip still beta): faster than 30% vs Adreno 420, more than 90% faster than Apple A7 (PowerVR G6430) but loss 8-10% vs Tegra K1
Also more breaking news: Samsung Note 4 Exynos version is using Samsung CMC221 modem, Samsung have plan to use Intel XMM7260 with 22 band LTE cat 6 but drop it and using own-product with 7 band lte and cat 4
And Exynos version this time is more powerful than Snap
P/S: All thing I mentioned is confidental and NO PICTURE OF THEM (if they found out we leak them, we will get....)

Well, here's what to expect from Samsung Nexus 10 and newer devices.Maybe SGS4 too? :)

I came across this today...
http://www.glbenchmark.com/phonedetails.jsp?D=Samsung+Arndale+Board&benchmark=glpro25
Looks like a winner to me!
In comparison to iphone 5 which also uses A15 cores and a triple core powervr gpu
http://www.glbenchmark.com/phonedetails.jsp?D=Apple+iPhone+5&benchmark=glpro25
and the Lg Optimus G which has kinda like A15 architecture plus an adreno 320 gpu,
http://www.glbenchmark.com/phonedetails.jsp?D=LG+E970&benchmark=glpro25,
the samsung dev board with the dual A15 [email protected] and the all new Mali-T604 gpu beats both of them holding the highest score so far!
Way to go sammy!
EDIT:

Welcome the New Beast from Samsung Exynos5 Octa the 8 Core Processor

Samsung just launched a new processor line up called Exynos5 Octa the story is still developing but the following are some details that are out
Samsung unveiled a brand new processor that will power its future mobile devices. Dubbed “Exynos5 Octa,” the new chip features two sets of four cores and a 28nm process that will eventually drop down to 10nm in the coming years. The chipset provides significant performance enhancements over Samsung’s previous-generation quad-core Exynos processor, which is now found in more than 53 million mobile devices. The company also said that the new Exynos5 Octa has a power-saving mode that helps improve battery life by reducing consumption when devices are idling and in other situations where full processing power is not required.
So between Exynos 5 Quad which is an A15 32nm chip that's supposed to be used in the SGS4, Krait v3 which is 15% faster version of S4 Pro, and now Octa, Nvidia may as well pack up their marbles and go home.
For geeks, here's some details on Exynos 5 which is Samsung's current "state of the art."

Here's some disucssion of Teg4 from a chip forum. People who do chips for a living aren't impressed; especially with the GPU.

Watch out. Demandarin might come around and tell us how great the Tegra 4 is Youg looks good, I wonder if it will be involved in devices before August 2013

8 cores..wow...overkill.
It wasnt long ago (less than a year?) That reviewers were stating quad core is abit of a gimmich right now on phones and tabs etc.
Im all for it ofcourse..but wow 8 cores
The 8 cores will be device into 2 sub 4 cores - 1 sub 4 core will be an A7 1.2GHZ quadcore processor for lighter task and the second sub core will be 4 core A15 1.6GHZ of above quadcore processor.
The same will be built on 28 NM technology and later 10 NM technology over a period of time.
Again these are not confirmed specs

[OFF Topic] A new architecture

8 cortex a7 are the same power comsuption than 4 cortex a8, the same or less that 4 a9, and less that 4 a15, and have more ghz in total, so it would be a good idea to make this, mtk make cortex a 7 processors and the 4 cores device with it are the same speed as google nexus 4, so i think that it will be a good idea

Just think of AMD vs INTEL
More cores vs. higher performance per core
Don't get fooled by the market gimmick and I prefer the A9/Intel way any day.

sorry, but mediatek stoled my idea, they are doing an exellent job with not more cores, it is same performance with more cores with more battery saving and making a good architecture no like amd, amd isnt bad, they chipsets are wrong built, bulldozer stink

Galaxy Note III ----cpu and gpu

How many type of note 3 cpu and gpu
Which one is gud for performance and battery
Quad core 2.3 or 1.9 or 1.3 as I saw on gsmarena
What about gpu as well
What to choose
Note 3 will have snapdragon 800 cpu @ 2.3 ghz. Some will have the Exynos octa core @ 1.9. I will get the Sprint version so it's snapdragon for me

As the person stated above N3 will come in two processors:
1. Slapdragon 800 @ 2.3 GHz (4 Krait cores- QUAD CORE) with Adreno 330 which can shoot 4k Videos @ 30 FPS.
2. Exynos 5420 with 8 cores- 4 A15 @ 1.9 GHz and 4 A7 @ 1.3 GHz. It will have Mali T628 MP6 GPU. However it wont shoot videos at 4k resolution.
Both of the GPUs will have OpenGL ES 3.0.
These stuffs can, you know, be obtained from top notch tech sites like gsmarena etc and with a quite bit of research hypothetically be answered.
But to answer your last question- it is too early to tell.
1. Lets see how the real world users say about daily usage in terms of Slapdragon 800 and Exynos.
2. Lets see how GSMArena turns out regarding battery endurance.
awesome smartphone
it will be interesting what the snapdragon will do. However its the highest end 800 not the regular 800 so optimalizing will be limited unless that one becomes mainstream. Tricky.

How does the speed/performance compare to the 2013 nexus 7?

Just wondering if this is a step up in terms of what I am currently using as my daily android device. Alright, after a bit of reading, the best guess I have is about a 25% increase in performance with the Redmi note 2.
Powervr g6200 vs Adreno 320
The PowerVR chip was ranked 8th best for 2015 compared to 14th for the dated Adreno 320.
CPU clock time is 2000mhz compared to 1500.
However, benchmarks on Atutu seem to show it scoring twice as high.
Was hoping for a little more performance, but for $110 and a far superior GPS/camera I'll take it.
I've never heard any complaints on here about performance on the RN2; in fact, people have been underclocking the CPU to 1.2-1.5 GHz and still had no lag. It's not as good as the SD 810 and not nearly as good as the Adreno 430, but there aren't really any devices this cheap with more powerful hardware.
