[How-To] Install CWM Recovery and ROOT BLU 5.0 C HD (And Other Blu C Devices) - Blu Studio 5

(First of all, although I have been reading XDA forums for years, this is my very first post. So, I apologize in advance for any mistakes.)
FULL DISCLAIMER: This ROOT method isn't for novice users. You will want to be familiar with things like ADB, custom recoveries, and phone system partitions before beginning. Also, do all of the following AT YOUR OWN RISK. It's not my fault that you turned your brand new phone into a beautifully colored brick.
If you've found this post, then you are like me. You just got this great new Blu Color phone, and you want to root it. But, all you can find online are posts about failed attempts to root it. Well, thanks to a guide I found online, we can all now have ROOT. Hooray!! Using the guide, I was able to get both a fully functioning CWM and an easy ROOT. To find the guide, just Google "100% Working ROOT + CWM - Readback your ROM with SP-Flash Tools," and click the first link. This method should (in theory) work for all of the "Blu C" (aka Blu Color) Android 4.4.2 phone variants. But, I can only VERIFY that it works for the Blu 5.0 C HD.
That's really all I have to say. Just follow that guide in order to get CWM installed, and then flash a SuperSU zip from recovery to achieve ROOT. I will say that watching the YouTube video is probably more helpful than reading the guide, just FYI. The ROOT sticks for me even after reboot. I've included some screenshots to "prove" that I have achieved ROOT on this device.
However, if any of you are brave enough to use them, I will give you the custom recovery file and scatter.txt file which I created. These files should save you some time and effort, by allowing you to skip forward to the last two steps (i.e. installing recovery and flashing the SuperSU zip). I've attached these two files to this post.
Quick note: In order to access the "download mode" needed for the SP Flash Tool, you need to remove the device's battery, then connect the device to your computer while HOLDING the Vol+ button. Once you have CWM Recovery installed, you can boot into recovery mode by either pressing Vol+ AND Vol- AND Power while the phone is off, then pressing Vol+ again. OR, you can enter recovery mode using the ADB command "adb reboot recovery".
ONLY use the files attached to this post IF you have a Blu 5.0 C HD. You will likely BRICK your device if you have ANY OTHER phone. Even the Blu 5.0 C Mini is probably too different.

Someone in the Google+ "Blu Development" community asked me a really good question, and I just wanted to post the reply here as well.
QUESTION: I tried this, but I never got the "read back" to work. How do you do it?
ANSWER: In order to get "read back" to work, you need to:
1. Unplug your phone and remove battery
2. Open up Windows device manager
3. Plug in your phone while holding the Vol+ button with battery still removed
4. Click on the new device which appears in the device manager (named "MediaTek Preloader," or something similar). Right click properties and then update the driver... Manually install the driver provided in the guide I referenced. Also, the video on the guide has a good walk through for this step, at around time 5:50. You need to be quick for this step, because the new device only appears in the device manager for a few seconds after the phone is plugged in.
5. Remove device again, start up SP Flash Tool, and get everything set up.
6. Click the "read back" button THEN reconnect phone to computer while holding Vol+ with battery removed. The read back process should start. It took my phone 22 minutes on my kinda slow laptop.
Hope this helps someone!

Reasonz20,
I'd love to post the link. But, I XDA doesn't allow me (as a "new" member) to post links yet. But, the YouTube video is embedded in the guide I provided, which you can find by searching for "100% Working ROOT + CWM - Readback your ROM with SP-Flash Tools," in Google.
And, for posterity's sake, you can find the YouTube video directly by searching in Google for "How to Root every MTK China Phone - Readback With SP-Flash - Root + CWM on INEW V8 [HD]," and clicking the first link.
Hope this helps!

Well, yes. But going into the specifics it perhaps beyond me. But I did install CWM in a kindle fire once through linux, because the driver wasn't working in Windows for me. However... For you... The easiest solution may be to download an illegal copy of Windows and run it in a Linux virtual box. Maybe? Or research how to do it in Linux. Sorry that I'm not more help.

I'm glad that you were able to root so easily! King root never worked for me, unfortunately. However, I am curious about your OTA update... My phone never got one. The wireless update page says my current version is BLU_D534U_V07_GENERIC. What's yours?

Has anyone tried any of the custom ROMS out there, for these other devices? Here's a link, with several, that could be interesting, if not as a daily driver, as a starting point to make more:

5.0 C (not HD)
Hi everyone, well i recently purchased a BLU Studio 5.0 C (not HD) so can i install the recovery from the 5.0 HD in my phone? i don't want to brick my phone
Thanks in advance for any answer =)

The process should be the same, regardless of the model, for any of the phone with MTK chipsets.
That said, this SHOULD work. Be sure to follow the instructions exactly, and take your time. If you follow all the steps, and something goes wrong, the backup you do at the beginning can bail you out.

Use rom manager. Download it from play store and select your device and flash CWM custom recovery.

Not for my Blu Stdio 5.0
I few day ago i ask if i can used this recovery for my BLU Studio 5.0 (not HD) and apparently couple of people say yes... well, my phone is brick... i took it to where i buy it cus it have warranty and i told them that is just stop working lol, they give me a new one with no question about it. Awesome!
So don't use it in your blu if is not BLU Studio 5.0 HD.

Guys can someone please provide stock ROM for studio 5c hd

[ROOT\RECOVERY\ROMS][NX008HD8G] Nextbook 8" Resources

WARNING: These files are reported as not working on Next8HD8G tablets manufactured after August 2013. Check your serial number. If it begins YFG1013... YFG1113... or higher, do not use these files. You may try to root using Cydia Impactor instead. If you do root one of the newer tablets, please dump the ROM for the rest of us!
Nextbook 8"
The Nextbook 8 is an afordable 99USD tablet from walmart. Widelly adapted but not with any serious unofficial development going on. I purchased one for a friend and couldn't resist to tweak it. I tried to find some ROMs to no avail. Also rooting was a long journey. So I decided to create this resource thread to help out people to this device and even present my own ROM. So without further to do I begin :
Rooting & Recovery the Easy way
Rooting was my first concern so I could de-bloat the tablet itself since it came with various unused software. The most efficient method I came across was the one presented by shaunmt at the freaktab forums here. So let me show you how it's done.
1. Download the modified stock recovery from shaunmt
2. Extract the archive and place the image in the root of your external SD card! NOT THE INTERNAL ONE!
3. Download and copy the root package by Kyser to your external SD card!
4. Power off the tablet and then hold down both volume keys while holding the power button. The tablet should show the first splash screen and then a black one followed by the recovery screen.
5. Use the Volume keys to navigate in the menu and the power button to confirm your selection. Select flash from EXT (or something like that), then select your SD card and then select the root package to install. The root package will be installed. Navigate back to the root mneu and select "reboot system"
6. Rooting should have finished and your tablet once powered on should be permanently rooted. But in the case that you don't see a root management application go to the Play Store and download either SuperSU or Super User.
7. Finished!
ROMs
1. Stock ROM - Packed by shaunmt at freaktab - here
2. nextGen 8" - By CedArctic - Comming soon
Always perform a full wipe when installing ROMs. Neither of these ROMs has been personally tested by me. Shaunmt from freaktab owns all the work on the thread (except my ROM).
Reserved for future needs
Keep an eye on my threads at FreakTab... there is lots more coming soon...

help
i did every step and installation was aborted... any tips?
You don't have the custom recovery file in your EXTERNAL sd card. The stock recovery aborts the installation due to not recognising the google installation keys.
How would I go about dumping the ROM so we can make recovery and a custom ROM. Mine is the newer one. Rooted and debloated
Sent from my MB865 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
sir shaunmt can you examine my dump files if it is usable in porting any custom recovery in my device? here's my dump file..
http://www.4shared.com/rar/kpulgLt3ce/romdump.html?
thanks for the help in advance..
Same here
I picked one up for either modding or dismantling it to see if I could build it. So the root thing is new to me, I have been spending a few days reading over you guys tuts and suggestions. I came across this one and it seemed fairly simple, take the downloads, extract to SD and recovery reboot? However it has not worked. If I push both volumes I get small yellow script at top saying DNX Fastboot mode, if I do the volume up button with power, I get the options of REBOOT, RECOVERY,POWER OFF, and I believe one other one. Either way I seem to hit a wall. I'm have no doubt it's me, but I would a appreciate a lil advice.
Thank you
NX008HD8G, Firmware? Root?
Hey Guys! I was wondering if maybe there was another link to the files? Has anyone figured out how to update the firmware on the NX008HD8G? I’m having trouble trying to root and I’m unable to find anything on how to at least update the firmware to 4.4.2. I’ve been having trouble with google play services, and could use either the stock rom or maybe a custom. Please help! Hopefully someone sees this!
Rooting NX008HD8G
These files are dead. Is there anything way you could update them? I’m unable to root or even update firmware. :victory: @CedArctic @shaunmt

Hi @MidoTayel i have also bought a Lenovo a3500-HV less than a week ago i know of two goo tools that can help you root they are:-
Farmaroot- http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/framaroot/root-framaroot-one-click-apk-to-root-t2130276
ROOT Genius- http://www.shuame.com/en/root/
But i would recommend that you WAIT A FEW DAYS as you know that after rooting the system can get corrupted (Based upon the app you install) thus you would send it to the service center and they would charge a lot of money(root void your warrenty). Apparently i am researching how to create and flash scattle files (Backup images of all system files,recovery.img,boot.img........) in Lenovo a3500-HV(Companies use this method to install android after the tablet is made).
Also i am researching how to create a clockworkmod recovery which will help in flashing updates and flash.zip modification and will also create nandroid backup of your entire system
If you can wait a few more days (5-6) days i will email you a set of tutorials from backuping imei numbers to creating scatter files(Right now i am sorting the best tutorial and good information from the junk in the different forums and blogs). With this information you do not need to go to the service center for any software issue anymore all you would need is an computer and a OTG cable (the cable used to connect phone to computer) and if you install custom recovery you would not need that also (Saved over Rs6000 in my previous tablet software problems)
I am also planning to make a thread upon the LENOVO a3500-HV
Also i have a few QUESTION i want to know if you are facing these problems as i want to know if it is only in my tablet or the entire firmware
-Does the tablet restart between every 4-5-6 hours
-The GPS does not work Test using GPS TEST app ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chartcross.gpstest&hl=en ) Already found some fixes but it needs root
-Can you boot into recovery mode or does it get stuck in the boot logo
-Can you install CPU-Z ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cpuid.cpu_z&hl=en ) and check if the hardware is the mt6582 model (Picture given below)
LAST of all can you give me your email id as yau are the only other Lenovo A3500-HV (Model is new) member i could find and i will first email all the tutorials i.e. doc, vedios, pdf to you and help you through email and chat
And if you only want to root and don't care it goes to the service center please atleast tell me if the root is working or not THANL YOU

GREAT !!
I finally found other guys having Lenovo A3500-HV
@MidoTayel
I guess you can use vRoot to root this model of lenovo (A3500).
But as @anandisrocking007 mentioned, I also recommend that you wait. Because the root may be dangerous without CWM recovery to make backup image of your system.
@anandisrocking007
I am happpy with your researching and waiting you…
I have some answers of your questions:
1- My tablet doesn't restart automatically ever from I bought it.
2- You can boot into recovery mode by holding the three buttons together (Vol. up + Vol. down + Power) after shutting down the device.
Other problems I will check them later.
Thanks.

Hi @ibraheem_alex so the USSD anomaly is not only for my phone its ok not to worry i am 95% sure that lenovo does not have locked bootloader also did you check the GPS is it working also use CPU-Z to check the chipset model mine is MT6582 when everything is over i would be uploading the scatterfile backup for everyone to use i just want to know if more than one type of model is released as different countries have different chipset but the same model (Pss..It won't have an impact on the tutorials that i shall post as you shall make a backup of your own phone :highfive
Tutorial Update- i have managed to download some vedios from sites and found a lot of tutorials that i have saved in .docx format just 1-2 more sites are left i shall then sort out the best one and if require will merge some to make a better one all and all i shall post it within a few days the tablet is an huge investment i think its fine to be a little patient....... Thanks for all and I wanna know if it's dangerous to root it or no ??

Hi @MidoTayel let me put this in simple words take windows for example where there is a guest account and there is a admin account in guest you can use the software but can not write anything in the C Drive(Also can't install software which are stored in C Drive) in that way Windows's C Drive=System Partition on android so when you get a phone its always in guest mode when you root it it gives you admin access. Some apps require to write or change file for it to work eg ROMtoolbox , Xposed module etc when you are not rooted the apps save all files into the data partition and if any problem occurs you can do a factory reset (i.e deleting the data partition) and it will be the same but if you are rooted and have some problem in the system partition even factory reset won't it goes to the service centre and they charge. Scatter file backup and nandroid backup are ways to backup an entire android OS ie system, data partition along with others its like you are creating an entire android installation setup and when your phone is bricked you can reinstall it. Overall i can tell you that the privilages of root outweigh the risk a lot what every you do try to research a little (I took 2 months to root my last tablet) and always make a scatter file and/or nandroid backup as soon as you root (First backup then check the cool device i.e ASAP) you root to be 100% safe
I am making tutorial to hep you root or create a backup....
Hope this helps i was confused for weeks thinking what is root when i started android..hope you don't face the same problem
PRESS THANKS IF IT HELPS.....:victory:
My chipset model is MT6582 .. It is same as your chipset.
I couldn't determine if my GPS working or not...
I used the GPS Test as you mention but also I can't know if it working correctly or not .. May I will make another test while moving in car.
But I captured this photo from the app .. May it help you.
See the photo in attachments.
Hi, I have a model A3500-FL (without back camera).
GPS works, locks in about a minute out in the open. Tablet lacks AGPS (no data connection). It's MT6582 which can use Mediatek's proprietary EPO to speed up positioning, but due to no root I cannot verfy if it is working or not.
Anyone tried backing up A3500 via SPFlash or MTKdroid tools or rooting?
Hey i wanna install the kali linux on my tab so if there is other way to do it without root it pls tell me
Hi
Me to .. I need to run Linux Ubuntu on my tablet.
But I think NO way to run linux without rooting your tablet.
This is how I rooted my A3500-FL under Xubuntu 14.04 (i have win 7 in VM):
1. install Virtualbox, not the OSE edition - get the full version from Oracle website and also the extesion pack (it enables direct access to USB devices)
2. Install windows (XP or 7, don't know about later versions)
3. Grab a copy of RootGenius from here
4. Enable usb debugging on tablet Connect your tablet via usb, make sure it is recognized by ubuntu, there is no need to mount it
lsusb for my device:
Code:
Bus 002 Device 004: ID 17ef:7738 Lenovo
5. Start your windows installation and mount the USB in virtualbox (there is a button for that at the bottom of a windows running your VM), make sure windows sees your device, it will probably fail to install the drivers
6. Start RootGenius, it should download and install drivers for this phone. Tutorial including usb debugging here. Click root a wait for a minute. Done
If yu are running windows skip steps 1-2.
Optional: make full system backup here
I did a backup before rooting. MTK tools somehow sneaked su binary past the android defences and got shell root after backing up.

[How-To] BLU Studio 5.0 C (D536U) – Rooting, Recovery Install, Flash Latest Stock Rom

Hello everyone on the XDA community.
This is my first post here ..!
To begin excuse my very bad English, I used a translator to do this. Second, moderators apologies if it is not the right place, I ask a little patience and if you need to edit or move the topic, are in every right to do so.
Thanks in advance.
WARNING: This method has been tested by me, but do not hold me responsible for lost data on their devices or if they suffer irreparable damage. The method should be used with caution, following the steps explained below and must possess knowledge of the use of the tools used. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Tools to be used:
BLU Phone Drivers
Universal ADB Drivers
SP Flash Tools v5.1436.00.000
Studio C D536U V08 5.0 Generic Stock Rom
Kingo Root
Easy Magic TWRP Installer for MediaTek
The first step and most important is: BACKUP, support all device data if possible make a backup of the complete ROM Stock, since in case of a "sudden death" can use this to revive the device. In the XDA Developers forums are methods to do this kind of support.
Steps that I have followed for an update ROM Stock, rooting and subsequent installation of custom recovery:
If you have any drivers installed for your BLU device uninstall them before seeing step 2.
Install the device driver for BLU
ADB drivers installed Universal
Enable USB debugging on development options
Download and install the ROM Stock mentioned above using the following::
Open SP Flash Tool.
Click scatter-loading then select the scatter file inside the ROM you downloaded (must be unzipped of course).
Change "Download" to "Firmware upgrade" (under scatter-loading file).
Click in "Download" button.
Take battery out of your phone and insert it again. make sure your phone does not turn on (If phone has an internal battery then just make sure the phone is off).
Plug in your phone to your PC.
The green check mark means you're good to go.
After installing the new ROM Stock, or if you were already using that version of the ROM Stock must install the Kingo Root, then connect your device and the program will recognize it immediately. The whole process is very simple and takes very little time, stay tuned to the screen of your device for confirmations.
Already having installed and running ROM Stock and rooting and undamaged device, run the program TWRP Setup, this will create the MTK-TWRP folder on your desktop, in it we find the TWRP.exe program which execute and follow the steps described in THIS POST.
And with that we have our rooting device with a new version of ROM Stock and custom recovery.
FINAL NOTE: In my case after installing the new version of ROM Stock did a search for update from the device, and found a new version: BLU_D536U_V10_GENERIC. The downloaded and installed before proceeding with the routing and the installation of custom recovery.
I hope you can use this guide and is very useful for everyone.
Best regards.

Hi.
The following directory on the website of Mega contains all the Stock ROM for BLU devices, look inside the folder named "STUDIO SERIES" the "STUDIO 5 C - D536" folder, there you can download the ROM Stock V8 Generic.

I have a bricked BLU Studio 5.0 C D536L. Can I flash this rom and files?
I don't know if D536U and D536L are the same devices (maybe L and U only a local id).
I just got this phone from Walmart, even though I didn't use your method to root, as my rom is newer than the rom you provide, mine rom is BLU_D536U_V11_GENERIC seemed pointless to downgrade, I did download your Studio C D536U V08 5.0 Generic Stock Rom as it contained a file I needed to manually root my device.
I use Linux not windows, so the splash tool doesn't help, none the less I was able to root without any problems, using the one file from Studio C D536U V08 5.0 Generic Stock Rom.
Thanks

Hey alakentu, thanks for this great thread. I have a problem at the moment: My, Studio BLU Studio 5.0 C (D536U), boots into the recovery and that is all. If I select Factory Mode it gets stuck on the BLU boot animation. I need to flash a new ROM through the original recovery and I need help with this. Can somebody help me ?
I'll give it a try
I have a 5.0C that has one SIM disabled. The SIM was filled with a platic blank that was glued down. I plan on backing up the custom Digicel ROM (D526 I think) and try to load the D536U stock ROM. I assume that if the hardware isn't customized, the stock ROM will have the code that enables and controls the two SIMS. :fingers-crossed:
I rooted and updated my previously locked phone to the V11 generic ROM. The generic ROM:
1. enabled the SIM that was blocked from the OEM.
2. unlocked both SIM slots.
The upgrade was well worth the trouble that I had with properly loading the USB drivers on my Windows 8 PC.
Same exact quandary here as @blackvitriol. My d536u (Studio 5.0 C) sticks at the Blu splash screen. Is there an RUU mode of sorts with this device? If so, how do I access it without being able to fully boot this device?

SOLVED!! (Not that this is an active thread or anything)
So, in ALL of my research I didn't find one single instruction to fix the bootloop, corrupted ROM issue I had. Many claimed to be able to fix this issue, but all fell short because of ONE SINGLE error in the command line. I know, that's all it takes, BUT it may be difficult to figure out (as it was for me). This is all assuming you have your drivers installed and at the very least Minimal ADB/Fastboot functioning.
1. download the factory image (zip, rar, whatever) and UNPACK it somewhere you can easily find in Windows.
2. place the boot.img and system.img files in the same folder as adb.exe and fastboot.exe
3. put your device in Fastboot by doing the following:
a. press and hold Vol Up AND Power until you see the LCD flicker dark (you'll know it when it happens about 3 seconds into holding. Nothing else will happen yet. Nothing will appear on your LCD.)
b. press Vol Up twice and then Vol Down
*you should see three lines pop up in white text on your screen and it should show Fastboot beneath that. If not, pop that battery out and start over. It may take practice to get it right.
4. open a command window in your adb/fastboot folder.
5. Type the following:
fastboot devices
(your device should show up after you hit enter)<---don't type this
fastboot flash boot boot.img
(you should get some action on your device showing it flashed OK as well as in your command window)<---or this
fastboot flash /system system.img
(you should see it working on your device's LCD counting up from 0% to 100%)<---or this
fastboot reboot
(now wait and watch your device come back to life)<---or this
So what's different here from the other instructions out there? You're flashing the system partition by typing "/system system.img" instead of "system system.img"
Any questions, feel free to ask. Have a good one and good luck.

How to root and flash recovery&ROM in 2015?

I recently received Acer Iconia A500 with stock 4.0.3 ROM (unrooted). I'd like to have root, flash recovery (prefer TWRP-like recoveries) and custom ROM (OmniROM 5.1.1 to get apps like MS Office/Word which 4.0.3 does not support). I've done a lot of background research on this matter but I'm really lost. There seem to be so many different methods of achieving this and none of them are written so that an unexperienced person (and I flash recoveries and custom ROMs many times a week to my Samsung phones) could completely understand what they do. There seem to be other problems as well such as dead links to installation files or executables that are problematic in Win8/10 environments (giving errors like 'install .NET 2.0 framework').
So here's what I currently understand. I get that I first need to root the A500 and that many rooting methods also unlock the bootloader (those are not familiar to me) and add an older recovery which then can be used to flash a newer recovery (with which I can flash ROM and GAPPS zips). I'vet got my ACER CPUID (used ES Explorer app to find it) and my SBK. I've copied zips and MD5s of OmniROM 5.1.1 V11 ROM, its GAPPS and TWRP based recovery REV2.0 beta4 to a MicroSD card which is inside the A500. I've got USB Debugging (and unknown sources) on.
Could someone please give me a good step-by-step guide with working links which describes how can I get from the current state of A500 (stock 4.0.3, unrooted, factory reset made) to the point where I can start flashing zips of recoveries and ROMs (which I know how to do)? I realize that this is an older device but for someone who has spent many hours within the last few days browsing XDA, Tegraforums and other places for information, there seem to be many A500-owners who still in 2015 are doing their first rooting and flashing experiments.
Please help!
I am in the same boat, totally overwhelmed by the information in many different places. My A500 is on 4.0.3 also.
So if someone would help US....I'd really appreciate it.

you folks are all TEGRA OWNERS right? You should definitely check there instead...

You can follow this which i wrote in other forum:
For basic step, follow if you are coming from stock. Make sure you flash all as mentioned in below forum
http://forum.tegraowners.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=363
In that forum, step2,
you can use Touchrecovery mentioned there or from: http://forum.tegraowners.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1490
Also, for latest ROM, use the rom from first post of this forum.
Make sure you have Root access on tab, as well as you check MD5 sum for all file you flush it on the source from where you flush it. Usually, you put your files on microSD so check MD5 sum on MicroSD file.. (if you don't know how to, google it)
Basically, it is boiling down to below steps:
1. you need to root your device.
2. go to your existing recovery and install TWRP recovery. (http://forum.tegraowners.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1490)
3. Once you install, go back to new recovery
4. tap on Partition Format
5. Tap on Storage. (Screen has only one big button)
6. Select Data from left side.
7. Select f2fs from right side.
This will format all your existing data. You will lose everything that you have.
8. Do same for Cache.
9. Reboot back in recovery to make sure that both partitions are formatted as intended.
10. Go back to main menu in recovery
11. Install ROM
12. Install GAAP.
13. Reboot.
14. Thank Thor.

I managed to get a Vista laptop so I've been able to get pass the compatibility issues with my Win10 PCs. However, I'm still a little unsure what to do. Could someone please clarify this for me? Can I use the quoted guide to get my A500 4.0.3 unrooted tablet rooted and with a recovery I can use to flash TouchRecovery, OmniROM and GAPPS zips? More specifically, does Step 1 work with 4.0.3 unrooted:
I wanted to write a consolidated tutorial for people on the latest/unrooted 3.2.1 OTA and how to flash it to rooted Jelly Bean ROM. If you follow step 1, it actually installs an old version of Touch Recovery for you, so you do not need to bother with Acer Recovery Installer. All links are derived from the FAQ stickied thread.
1. First you need to obtain root. Follow this guide to install a rooted 3.2.1 image.
[tab=30]All data will be lost. The 10 step guide is included as a PDF in the download:
[tab=30] http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1307539
[tab=30]Confirm you have the Superuser app installed once completed.

I also found this piece of information from XDA:
Its an old thread used to upgrade you to rooted 3.2.1 -
It can also be used to downgrade/rollback/reset partition table - from ICS BUT there's a slight difference in the steps you need to take to do that...and alot of folks have come to grief here - so for the downgrade -
after running the "test.cmd" which checks the right drivers are installed correctly - run dotnetdetector.exe - follow the instructions UNTIL
You see a window asking you to connect your usb cable and that the EUU will check you "image versions" If you are downgrading DO NOT connect your cable!!!
This will "force" the "cannot detect your Iconia" window and then give instructions to put your tab into "manual apx mode" - once you have done that you can connect your cable - enter your cpuid - then you'll see the green status bar and the "update" will begin - it should take no longer than 10 minutes -

So which is it? Do I follow the 3.2.1 OTA method as is or do I take into consideration the alternative step to downgrade? Or does the method even work for A500 4.0.3 unrooted?

OK, this is a loooong story. Can someone save my xperiac4?PLS...........

I have a xperia c4 e5303, is a awesome device and 5-6 days ago i wanted to use xposed firmware to enable a fake gyroscope.
AND THE HELL STARTED.
I had the device rooted with custom recovery twrp when i was in lollipop 5.1, i installed the firmware for xposed and the phone was stucked in "android optimization", for hours. I restarded it sometimes but nothing, so i formatted my device and when i rebooted it, i was stucked in "sony" logo screen, some minutes ago i founded that my phone was totally empty.
c: *internal screaming*
I waited the next day, i downloaded the ftf of original marshmallow 6.0 firmware for sony xperia c4 and i installed it on my device, then everything worked perfectly luckely.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy, or not?
Some hours after i founded that i couldn't use the recovery mode!
I searched and searched and i founded that the problem could be the bootloader,so i used a sony official guide to unlock that.
I couldn't finished that guide becouse with any connection, on any computer, android sdk can't install his components(such as google usb driver, that are required for that method), and the program just install everytime the same package in loop. I tried aaaallll the method in the universe for that, i tried also to install once per once the zip files of the downloaded package but it was totally useless.
So i founded another method after some days of searching (with flashtool) and now my bootloader is fully unlocked, if i use flashtool to unlock the bootloader, it says that is unlocked and ask me if i want to relock it so i think now the bootloader unlock is done. FINALLY.
Then, i turned off the phone and started it by pressing the volume down+power botton, and all the device did was reboot himself repitetly until i release hard keys and when i do it the phone start automatically.
I think my device now reboot himself instead of going in recovery mode.
What can i do i am totally frustrated about this and i really don't want to buy a new device becouse i don't have a gyroscope. I love my xperia c4, i just don't know why i can't get the recovery mode back to install twrp, for rooting the device, for retry to get xposed virtual sensor and then finally enjoy my vr experience...
In the end, i have a Xperia C4 5303 with original Marshmallow 6.0 firmware installed, that can't go in recovery mode in any ways.
Pls someone help me..
no one?..
No one here know hot to save my smartphone?
update: now i can use fasboot and adb commands becouse i installed the drivers properly.
but i still can't flash a custom recovery to get the root..

Digging through XDA (next time use the website's search bar, tee hee hee) I found this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp.../bootloader-unlocked-custom-recovery-t3285521
Edit: I know it says C5 Ultra whatever but the thread says it also works with your model (C4 E5303 no?)
Before trying anything, I'd seriously recommend reading all eleven pages so you don't miss anything and end killing your phone (or back at square 1).
I'm not an expert on Android or anything (I personally have only owned 1 device — a first gen Moto G), but the method presented in the thread is very odd. Are all Xperia phones this weird?
Read carefully — some steps might be unnecessary (after all, you already unlocked your bootloader [maybe?])
P.S. you lost the recovery because by installing the original firmware it basically got erased (original firmware didn't have TWRP after all!)
P.S.S. you should create a backup once you get TWRP up and running, just in case.
I can't help you more than this because I do not own the device, so I cannot share ~personal wisdom~ with you (beyond recommending the Moto G series).
Good luck!
( And search the forums and threads before posting — that's an XDA rule! )

thx

Thanks a lot for your time, but i am using that thread to root this, and i am stucked at the last point becouse i don't know what he means with:
"THIS IS IMPORTANT
The rom has
Code:
recovery.from.boot.p"
I did all the steps except for that, and i get no errors but when i try to boot in recovery the phone just stay on the logo and then after some minutes reboot himself and starts normally.
i already ask what the last point is in that thread
p.s.: i know i will not have twrp if i reinstall stock fw, but the point is that i don't have also the normal recovery, i can't access to that via adb or via hard keys..

Ah. You should've mentioned it (i.e. linked to the guide). Sorry sorry!
Read further down. The "recovery.from.boot.p" is this thing that overwrites TWRP with the stock recovery. Following the «THIS IS IMPORTANT» indication are instructions to get rid of the thing, and so being able to keep TWRP permanently.
You need that last step to succeed.

Is fine, i had to buy another phone that is why is tarted to root the xperia.
just..i'm out from the world of rooting i think. i broke 2 devices 1 by flashing a original rom with sony original flashtool and 1 by installing a root with kigroot, and now on that i can't read the sim.
i wait until the world of rooting will be more stable and with more official custom roms...
RIP
