Mine have one. Maybe not the best one but until I get my nillkin glass one it gonna do the job. And got one with my melkco tpu case. On the top, right side there is a small tab to remove it.

I think the OP is asking if the G3 comes from the factory with a screen protector on it like the anti shatter protector on the Sony Z and Z1
To the OP, no it doesn't come with one from factory.

Mine came with a screen protector from canada

The device is provided with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 glass protection.
If you scratched it although that protection you better had then to apply a tempered glass like i.e iCarez or Ultimate Shield instead!

Was it new or second hand because the G3 shouldn't come with one.

I installed the iCarez 0.2mm tempered glass protector on mine. Cannot tell its there. The Verizon shipping plastic was getting rather chewed up.

It's very tough and easy to clean i say:good:
before mine got a replacement digitizer for dead pixels, it's always naked for a month.
in and out of jeans pocket countless time, no scratch at all:fingers-crossed:
and about factory screen protector, i think it doesn't have any. from the looks of "lg g3 drop test" in youtube

keys destroy only the size case and back..it wouldnt destroy the screen...dust and sand like particle kill the screen..
gorilla glass is harder than steel..but if you wipe it with a little tiny sand/rock...you will see how it destroy the screen

Too bad we European people can buy it from USA only (rather expensive when including also the Customs taxes...).
I can read only good words about it. :/

Screen protectors stop the s pen working right

Has anyone noticed that if you use a screen protector it majorly affects the smoothness of the s pen !
Doea anyone know if the screen is gorilla glass ?

Yes, Gorillia Glass 2.
With the Note 1 and it's stylus, it worked fine with the Spigen/dry apply protectors. The stylus would leave marks in the wet apply protectors like Zagg, Bodyguardz, etc...
Well I had the same issue but that was bcoz of Non reflective Matt finished Screen protector that I used on my GN2.
It was solved as soon as I removed it and put Relective glossy finished Screen protector.

Read your manual, page 9.
I have been using this:

I haven't had any problems with the S-Pen
SPIGEN SGP Ultra Oleophobic
My S 9000i never had a protector on it and it's glas surface is virgin. Believe me am am not a extremely carefull person, the phone is a tool not a status symbol. So just too say that with Gorilla glas you can forget about a screen protector really.

Well that's hardly true, at least for my part. I've only had the phone for 5 days and already its got a thin scratch at the top of the screen. Add to that that I'm pretty careful with the phone. I will definitely buy a screen protector when they become available at the stores here.
Glad to see that most of you don't have problems with the S-Pen after applying screen protectors.

I had a wet apply protector on my original note and it was driving me crazy how it would leave the, streaks/marks/etc in the protector I had. I pulled it off and switched it out for an SGP Ultra Crystal. Was definitely worth it, had no problems with it.
None of my phones after 3GS scratched. Gorilla glass is very good and never disappointed me.

i'm not a big case nor screen protector person and i'm planning to run my note II naked... but my retailer did include a cheap screen protector which he applied for me at the store and so far (8 days now) I didn't notice any impact to s-pen functionality
i'd probably remove it anyway as i prefer to feel of the glass screen...
sometime i'm amazed at how polarized xda members are re screen protector - some swear by them and some ridicule its use... i tend to agree with most of the points raised by either side:
1. screen protector will no way impact the functionality of the s-pen and the sensors (my screen don't even cover the sensors) blah blah
2. gorilla glass 1 or 2 are NOT invincible - sand etc blah blah
it is really just a personal choice and which option give you peace of mind...

Using stock screen protectors permanently a bad idea?

I'm planning on using the stock front, back, and side screen protectors for my new Nexus 4 but have not seen many people doing the same. Is anyone using the stock protectors or is there harm doing so long-term? I am planning on using this with a the Exact Armour Case (sold on Amazon) too...
The front protector ist often not applied very well and has symbols für Volume an Power printed on it.
The back protector fits perfectly.
Iam only using them till they fall off^^ I dont think they will last very long.

Why would you want to use them? It's got Gorilla glass 2, so it's not like it's gonna get scratched easily. The only protection you could get is against hitting and the screen protectors can't help you there.
Pretty certain that there's no side protectors. I'm still using the stock protectors until my BSE ones arrive. Problem is they are designed to be removed easily, especially the back one, so it's actually already coming loose just because my hand grazes the removal tab.

Because it's been established that the glass still scratches easily, even though it's marketed as gorilla glass. Mine got 2 micro scratches before I decided to put a screen protector on - it's a common issue.
Gorilla Glass is quite resistant to scratches from the key or coins (in your pocket) but a simple grain of sand can make visible scratch on it! I used stock screen protectors but they started to come off after a week, so I bought Spigen Dual Ultra Crystal for my Nexy and I'm definitely satisfied with it.:victory:

Some of the phones were coming with protectors around the sides too, some weren't.
How is the friction of the finger to the screen then? Is it much worse than without using a protector?

using the stock screen protectors is probably the worst thing you can do. They're not really even screen protectors at all. They are much more flimsy and thinner then a screen protector and why would you want to keep them on when the front has the buttons printed on them and the back has the IMEI on it. If you want protection get the SGP dual protector.

[Q] What glass on the S5?

I'm wondering what kind of glass the S5 will sport? Is this known?
I think a lot of people want to know if it's worth buying a screen protector. I prefer just using a case to keep the screen safe and a screen without a screenprotector feels snappier
Have you considered using a glass screen protector? It gives the same "Snappy" effect as bare glass but also provides scratch protection for the screen.
Assuming I get the S5, that will be my first investment for the device.

I'm curious about these tempered glass screen protectors as well. I've always used Zagg HD on my devices and never had an issue. Was also curious do these screen protectors stay water resistant as well?

Sure, but say I use a flip case for the S5 and keep it in pocket (closed) most of the time. Do I need a screen protector? (I can imagine you need it for unforeseen circumstances, but everyday life?)

I would say for this reason more so than not. See, pocket lint and other dust/dirt/contaminates that make it into your pocket can often times cause micro scratches on your screen. Do you know what happens when those little items you can barely see get trapped between the flip cover and the screen? Well as you walk it actually uses that cover to grind those things into the screen even more. I like the flip covers, but without a screen protector i think they stand the potential to do more harm than good. I say, having a screen protector has yet to be a hindrance, why chance it.

I remember hearing somewhere it uses Gorilla Glass 3. I'm 100% sure it does. As for a screen protector, I find them unnecessary. I never drop my devices and always clean with microfiber, so scratches haven't been a problem. It's really a personal thing, but if I had to go for a screen protector it would be Spigen's GLAS.tr model.

Be extremely careful with the S5 bezel. I dropped my S5 facing down the other day. I took it and checked as if anything was broken. Didnt look carefully but turned out the bezel cracked but its very very hard to notice unless u watch it closely. I think a bumper wont hurt anyone. I personally want this girl naked

No screen protector?

Do you guys think that the S7 edge screen is good enough to go without a screen protector?
Asking because I bought one yesterday and the side of it has a lot of dust already. So not sure if I want to have a screen protector on it. Or can someone recommend a good protector for the edge.
Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
What does dust have to do with not wanting a screen protector?
None of my phones will ever be "naked". I usually get Spigen products but their screen protectors didn't have good ratings for the S6 Edge so now I don't know.
I just want something for my edge don't be so slippery.. I have to figure it out which one ... Some advices ?

The sides of the protector keep raising up and collecting lent and dust. I thought this would probably be more of a problem with the edge since the screen curves. That's why I thought maybe to not have one on it.

is it gonna be rare to see tempered glass with full protection over the curve?
Not using one, saw a few drop and scratch tests, and it seems to be scratch resistant. Just using a case.

In another thread someone reached out to zagg. There estimating sometime in July lol so yeah I wouldn't wait too long for that to happen
I've ordered some dirt cheap tpu screen protectors but not too sure how well they fit until they arrive. The reviews were really good but they could be fake seeing as not many people have the phone. I'll wait and see.
They will be coming. For the S6E, it took a while b/c of the learning curve. The S7E glass should be coming out much faster.
I've been using glass on my S6E for about 7 months now.

I havent decided on a screen protector yet, maybe i'll just use a slim case, or tempered glass on the back, but not sure about the screen tbh...
I remember taking nails and trying to scratch the old iPhone when they first came out with gorilla glass just to show people how tough it was... We are on gorllia glass 4 now. I'd be far more worried about cracking the glass than scratching it...
Well, I own the s6 edge plus and I managed to get a ton of microscratches on the screen. That said, I only see the scratches in direct sunlight with it not really being visible indoors. This time around, I might go with a screen protector to avoid those microscratches. I'm assuming this is the same GG4 used on the front of the edge plus.

If you want some extra grip, look at slickwraps or dbrand skins for front and back coverage.

Scratch repair?

I have someone willing to sell me a Note 10 Plus (512 GB Model) for $600. It has one annoying little scratch that you can catch your fingernail in on the screen. I'm curious if there is a liquid-apply screen protector or a filler out there one of you all has used that can take care of the problem.
Thanks in advance!
I have the exact same question
Throw a whitestone dome glass or similiar SP on it. That'll "bandaid" it enough whereas it'll appear nothing's there.

Agree with this....probably the cheapest solution available....from what i understand the liquid adhesive should fill the scratch and make it less visible.
Did you happen to check if perhaps the seller still had the stock screen protector still installed? I had a nasty scratch on mine..finally removed it and the glass beneath was pristine.

Consider replacing to glass in the long haul when doing the battery.
The plastic screen protector IQ Sheild is a wet apply, works well and may help conceal it nicely.
It's inexpensive and relatively easy to install.
