Updating 4.4 to 4.4.2 with XPOSED

Hey guys, I tried looking for the answer to this but couldn't find any info.
I'm currently on rooted, stock 4.4, stock kernel with XPOSED installed. I want to update to 4.4.2 without losing data.
I don't want to re-root using a computer method such as one click install since it does not work on my computer. What are my options?

Click to collapse
The other I can see is with custom recovery.
Procedure:
Flash custom recovery like CWM or TWRP if you don't have,
Download OTA 4.4.1, 4.4.2 zip and SuperSU 1.8 zip
Disable Xposed
Boot into recovery
Install 4.4.1 OTA zip then 4.4.2 OTA zip
Install SuperSU zip
Reboot your phone
Enable Xposed

Rooting lollipop LS980

I think I may have boned myself a bit. I had kitkat 4.4.2 stock rom rooted with stumproot, and I did the OTA upgrade to lollipop. Not suprisingly, apps that need root no longer work. I installed rootchecker and it reports no root access. I installed stumproot again and it says that the device is already rooted. When I open supersu is says there is no supersu binary installed and it cannot install it.
What are my options on how to re-root my phone?

Lost root access after installing pa

i lost my root access after i flashed PA 5.1.x legacy. Any one help?
We don't ship with root in any 5.x builds. It's really easy for you to flash SuperSU in recovery.
The fact that you don't understand that means you are not one that needs root access.
Flash SuperSU from your recovery for root access. Here's the file: link

How to retain root

Hi guys!
I am a Yureka user. Yesterday I updated the phone with latest CM nightly build and lost root privileges, now i am not able to root it again.
SU update method doesn't work any longer nor does the root access in developer options.
I flashed this updte using custom recovery (CWM).
Please guide me how to retain root after this update and also if i need to be on stock recovery.
Thank you!!!
