Service Unavailable on my VZW Note Pro 12.2 - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 General

Hi,
Just curious, whenever i tried to check "Software Updates", I get
"Service Unavailable Messages", instead of my other Samsung devices said "Up to dates"
Service Temporary Unavailable, Please try again later.
Anyone having the same issue? or it is just me? or the service is really down?
I have tries many times after a few days, and still getting the same message.
I can do Google Play and Galaxy Apps updates.
TIA!

[Q] Pressreader and The Times UK

Hi,
Just looking for a little help. I have been using my Times.co.uk newspaper subscription flawlessly through pressreader on my tab for just over a month. Inexplicably it stopped working a few days ago and now whenever I attempt to re-authorize my account I just get a "Couldn't establish connection to the network" error.
I've done a factory reset on my tab, the rest of it's internet connectivity is perfect so this seems like an issue with pressreader. Samsung support didn't actually seem to know what the Galaxy Tab was let alone pressreader, the Times just told me it should be working and pressreader/press display's support is poor to non-existant.
Has anyone else managed to keep their Times uk newspaper subscription working with their Galaxt Tab and pressreader?
Thanks for any advice,
I have the same or similar problem.
I can't add my times account nor can I authorise my Tab with PressDisplay.
In other words, when I go into accounts I only have the IMEI number and a single authorise. When I select authorise I can enter my username ans password but I then just get the same error as you.
I have no way to add my times account because nothing happens when I select the menu button.
Same issue with me on my Galaxy Tab. Have emailed PressDisplay but no reply as yet.
Anyone else got one?
I don't have a full Times subscription (just at the weekend), so I'm not expecting to get the Times in PressDisplay.
I do hace a PD subscription, however, that works fine on my iPhone, but I cannot authorise the Tab. I see a "Processing" dialog, followed by a "Couldn't establish connection to the network". Grr.
I've also emailed PressDisplay, and will report back as and when I receive a reply.
The seven trial issues downloaded perfectly.

I finally got to the root of why my Times subscription worked initially then stopped. The Times were caught out by the launch of the Gtab, but once they realized it was out and shipping with Press Reader, they quickly moved to specifically ban the device from accessing user subscriptions to their papers to protect the profitability of their ipad application - very kind of them.... this is why you get the "can not establish connection to the network error"
I have had this confirmed by both the Times (who issued me with an apology and complete refund on my subscription costs) and the support folks at Press Display.
It's a shame as for £8 a month it was great value, the only quality broadsheet now available (in the uk) is the Telegraph, but Press Display's odd subscription policies now make it cheaper and more sensible to just buy the paper at 90p an issue from your local news agent.
There's nothing quite like progress!

Verizon Play Store Carrier Billing?

Hey everyone,
Has anyone managed to get carrier billing enabled in the Play Store on the Verizon Xoom? Using Play Store 4.0.25, I am able to tap the option that says "Set up Verizon Wireless Billing Account", but then it just gives me a popup saying "An error occurred." I also noticed in the older Play Store 3.10.14 version, the option to bill an app purchase to your VZW account is there, but it's grayed out. So, has anyone successfully enabled carrier billing on the Xoom or is this just a case of VZW only allowing the service on smartphones and not tablets? It works fine on my Galaxy Nexus.
After spending some time with Verizon support, it turns out the problem was that my Xoom's phone number had a texting block on it. I had VZW remove the block and carrier billing works now.

Call Forwarding not working

I've scoured the internet for 6 months checking back every month to see if there was a fix for this.
When I got my Canadian W8 variant of the s7 edge on Rogers, Call forwarding was working.
Then I rooted my device so I can use Root call blocker for its ability to pick up and hang up calls without my knowing the blocked number ever even called.
I then tried to setup YouMail for visual voicemail and keep getting mmi code errors. If I try activating it manually by going into the call setting, I get "Failed to read data, Unexpected response from network".
I attributed this error to Rogers not having call forwarding on my account. But I'm paying for it, and since I'm on family play with parents, and tested both their devices, one is an Galaxy s5 neo and the other is an iphone of some sort and both work.
What is causing this issue?
Is it because KNOX was tripped? I've tried flashing clean no root, and still same errors.
Did rooting my phone break Call Forwarding?
Did anyone else have this issue and find a fix or workaround?
I need to forward calls I ignore to YouMail.
Once again, I've gone through all the so called "fixes" in the first 3 pages of google searching. All of which are the same articles on different sites.
Thanks.

What does this message mean???

Hi, I keep getting this message on my MotoG4, and cannot make calls, or if I am lucky to get through, my voice breaks up.
"Phone Services"
Restricted access changed
Data service is blocked
Can anyone tell me why I'm getting it, what it means and how to get rid of it? I've just had a new SIM from BT, but it hasn't helped.
Thanks.

What is this "Network Monitoring" and "Phone may be monitored" notification?

What is this "Network Monitoring" and "Phone may be monitored" notification?
Never noticed this before, but it may have been there all along.
I have a LG V20 (US996) on Verizon , stock, but rooted.
Today, I noticed the phrase "Phone may be monitored" under the quick tiles.
When I click on it, it brings up a popup that simply says "Network Monitoring."
Any clue what it is? Why it's there? If/How to get rid of it? Etc?
Thanks.

Never seen this before. Are you connected to a public network when this pops up? I know on my PC if I connect to an open/public network it warns me that my connection can be monitored and is not private
It can also be caused by vpns: are you using one? Basically its informational saying the vpn provider can see what youre accessing like an isp or cell data provider would.
I'd be afraid mine phone had been tapped. Even though I don't think they would make it that obvious, it would still make me leary...
