Printing from Android to a USB printer connected to print server of DLink DSL 2750u - Networking

Hi,
I have connected my Epson TX101 USB printer to the USB port of DLink DSL 2750u wireless router.
I have configured the router and enabled print server function.
By adding the printer at http://192.168.1.1:631/printers/EPSON, I can print from my pc and other laptops.
But how do I print from my android phone (running android version 4.1.2) using the epson printer connected to DSL 2750u USB port?
What software do I use on My phone?
I have got a Samsung Galaxy S Advance phone with the stock ROM

Google get me here.. i was also searching this issue... if i get it i ll update here soon....

Epson has an app on the Play Store called the "Epson Print Enabler".
Some printers require a little help with the communication to and from an Android device and the Printer.
Good Luck!

PC/Laptop to xda 2 viewing

Hi,
could an expert out there advise me if my theory is possible please?
Using Remote desktop/Terminal services : See whats on my PC/Laptop on the screen of my XDA2 - connected via cradle and usb(as usual). If so what do I put in the "Server" box of the XDA Terminal services prog and on the "Main" PC.. Do I have to make a Network first? Or ?
Thanks to all.
The site is great but much of it goes straight over my head at the moment..
P
ummm ... your theory seems not that much difficult as you can implement it using Bluetooth networking I guess ..
you can setup bluetooth networking from Pocket PC to Laptop then you can browse what your home PC conatin from your PDA
give it a try
I hope this is what U was talking about , if not please give us more clarifications
Cheers
It is better and faster to use Wifi if you're going to use terminal services.
Been using this method since last year.
Thanks but I do not have wifi or bluetooth...
There is a ref to doing it on MS site via the cradle and usb but then it shoots off in the over the web stuff...
I have tried just now but nothing connects.... But I notice that when I check my desktop (xp) pc under the rempte tab - I only have Remote Assistance.... Could this be it? Perhaps I do not have Remote Desktop installed then ! Eh? I will try to locate my original xp discs and see if I can install !!??
Ta.
Remote desktop or Terminal services connect only via IP address.
So you can only connect via TCP/IP using WIFI on your XDA.
Bluetooth 1.1 has no IP address setting so it is not possible also.
I tried all methods since last year and WIFI is the only solution or if your XDA has a backpack you can use a CF type NIC for wired connection via crosslink or hub.
Still Wifi is the cheapest and cleanest alternative. You can use Adhoc settings between your PC if you have no WIFI access point.

network printing via router

Hey guys,
I have a small problem with the printing software.
At home, we got a "network printer", that means the printer is connected with our router (T-Com Speedport W900V) over an USB-Cable.
So actually its not a '"pure" network printer, because you map them as a local printer in Windows. Just the port is set to "Standard TCP/IP-Port" and mapped as "speedport.ip"
Now my question: Is it possible to address this printer directly like in Windows with our software? Or is it just possible over "Workgroup" and a running PC? (this option works flawlessly)

playdo
PS (for better understanding):
WORKING: Print from my Touch via my laptop on the printer, which is connected to my router.
NOT WORKING: Print directly from my Touch on the printer.
could be a print driver issue
The printer works! But just via the other way i mentioned.
I think its a network issue or just a lack of a program feature
if you're question is about getting a network printer to work
in a different way from a windows pc
rather then getting a network printer to work from your blackstone pda
I should prob move your thread to the offtopic forum
as it would have nothing to do with blackstone pda's at all
and in offtopic forum more people with knowledge about
network printers would be likely to stumple across it
if they don't happen to own blackstone pda's too
Oh i'm sorry, i think we got an misunderstanding. Probably because i'm not a native english speaker.
Here is again what i have/want:
WORKING: Print from my Touch via my laptop on the printer, which is connected to my router.
NOT WORKING: Print directly from my Touch on the printer.
Hope i made my request more clear
Isn't there any possible solution?
Or couldn't I make my request clear enough?
I don't know if anybody has the same configuration at home, but it is like this:
The router provides the printer as a local printer, just over an TCP/IP-Port. So in Windows you connect it over "local printer" and "specific port --> TCP/IP"
But I think that isn't possible with our Westtek Software, is it?
may be the (jetcet?) software in HD doesn't support printing over ppc networking.

[Question] USB Printer

Hey guys I have a question...
Is it possible to print using my HTC HD2?
As in, directly print from my HTC HD2 to say a USB printer? (via perhaps a cable.. I think the printer uses a USB-B -> USB-A, so I would need a micro USB -> USB-A)?
Is that possible?
If it is... what would I need? (software, cables, and what not)
Thanks
Edit: The printer is a T522 Lexmark printer by the way, and lets assume I don't have a network connection (its complicated).
Anybody?
simply....... no.that would require the phone being capable of operating as a usb host, which it isn't.
there is a thread looking in to maybe getting usb host working but don't hold your break for itany time soon
maybe using pictbridge fonction if the printer support this
you can print via bluetooth or via network using Jetcet print. Check this app, it is default app in leo

Use the built-in JETPRINT5 - it allows you to print via bluetooth connection although I never tried this on my own.

Asus OnHub AC1900 & AT&T U-Verse Pace 2WIRE 3801HGV Issue

Ok... Loving the OnHub but have the following issues and can seem to get resolve.
AT&T Modem/Router has the following attached:
1 - Computer (Windows XP) - Ethernet
1 - OnHub - Ethernet
1 - WD MyCloud Drive - Ethernet
WiFi is turned off and the OnHub is set up in the DMZ+
OnHub Router has the following connected:
Nexus 7
Nexus Player
HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer
Chromecast
Here are my issues.:
1.) The computer can't connect to the HP printer for printing.... It doesn't see it at all and can't locate it... I have tried uninstalling the printer and re-installing. Can't re-install because it can't find it. I have even tried using the ip address of the printer.... No go....
2.) None of my wireless devices can see the WD MyCloud.... If I change the MyCLoud cable from the AT&T Pace unit and go direct into the OnHub, these devices can connect, but then my computer can not see it or access it.
Any Ideas?

I had the same problem with my brother printer. I ended up just connecting the cable to the computer.

That's what I have currently done... But, I'm looking for a more correct solution.... I know I haven't set something properly... Just not sure what that might be...
Strange that the MyCloud will work casting to the nexus player if I use my phone, but if I try to access it direct from the Nexus player, no dice!
i have hp envy 5530 and prints wireless using a smartphone or a laptop and it works ok, even my visitors that is connected to our wifi managed to print using her laptop, i found this issue when i connect my hp to onhub guest instead of the main onhub

Sorry to bring this back up. You need to connect everything to the OnHub only then the OnHub to your At&t modem. You'll need a switch since the OnHub has only one lan Ethernet port. Then your issues will be fixed.

USB/Serial (RS232) over IP to Windows PC

Hello,
with the USB to Serial Adapter, connected to the Phone its possible to open a Terminal Programm and have access to the for example Cisco Console.
I look for a solution to have remote access to this console.
I am not looking for a "Remote Desktop" solution like. Teamviewer, etc.
I have in mind something like usb-device connected via IP to my windows pc, or terminal-server that translate the RS232-connection to IP and I can access via Telnet, SSH, etc.
Has anyone an idea how to do this ? ...or is there yet an APP for this, I havent found yet ?
Setup:
[Router](RS232)<->[Serial-to-USB-Adapter]<->[Android-Device] - - - Network (Wifi/Internet] - - - [Windows-PC](Terminal-Programm like TerraTerm/Putty)
Kind regards
Willi

Uhmm probaly an adapter but you need to figure out the color combo for the wires on the connectors and the right port and frequency.
Rs232 is a print input for livelogging and configuring a print.
Ssh over rs232 ternimal is mostly disabled.
So ues rs232 to usb or rj45 aka lan is possible with these conditions.
For pc
Right usb com. For usb.
Right adapter settings like ip and dns for lan adapter.
In putty
Right port.
Right ip. Aka print identyfier. Ussualy can be find by combining specific nummers on the print
Right plugin running on win7 and 10. Audio recorder ussualy works.
Right wiring order in the 2 connectors. Ussualy on the adapter you can use dipswitches or program it on the pc.
Then u will have admin control over all things the print supports.
