N9005 - LTE Problem

Hello geniuses!
Before anyone asks, I have already tried the search function and was unable to get any pertinent results!!
I have a n9005 unbranded factory unlocked phone that I purchased through a retailer in Singapore. I absolutely love this phone it is such a beast!
However, I am having a problem with the handset. I am with telus up here in Canada and I am unable to connect to their LTE network. I called customer service to ensure that LTE is enabled on my plan and it is. I am getting HSPA+ speeds and I am able to make voice calls just fine, but I bought this phone thinking I would have LTE enabled on it.
Now from my understanding, the snapdragon 800 chipset has LTE bands that support numerous networks. However, since this is a phone from Singapore it may only have Singapore LTE bands enabled. Is there a way to change it so that it recognizes Canadian bands, more specifically Telus' LTE network?
I read that by flashing a new modem or csc I would be able to get LTE speeds, is this the case? If so, can some one guide me in the right direction on how to do this as I am a complete noob!
Thanks everyone!:fingers-crossed:
Did I not just answer a similar thread about someone with the *exact* same issue with a handset from Hong Kong?
Singapore uses the 1800 and 2600 LTE bands, Telus only the 1700 band. You're using a phone that doesn't even see your LTE band...

Yes I understand that...
That's why I asked if it's possible to flash a different modem on the phone that will enable the 1700 band?

Does anyonr knows how to flash firmware or modem then I will be able to activate lte on my note 3
Thank you
if u havea 4g enabled device such as note 3 model number n9005 then u can use 4g untill its frequency is not supported.... the supported frequencies are not software based.. the are hardware based andcannot be changed.... note 3 n9005 supports LTE 800 / 850 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600 and note3 n900w8 supports LTE 700 / 1900 / 2100 ... if ur carrier transmits on frequency other than these then us device is useless.... many people buy these devices only because it has 4g but they arenot even aware of supported frequencies so u all must research properly before buying.... PLY PRESS THANKS IF MY POST HELPED U...:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

Maybe is coz the 2 are using different company of phone. Dial *#1234# anyway and tell me what appears.
Few possible reasons:
- You are not using LTE usim
- Your provider has LTE but Samsung firmware has not been updated for your provider.
I have N910C and when I use it in Indonesia with usim, there's no LTE options as well . You can enable it manually with *#2263#.
But when I use this phone in Hong Kong with CSL prepaid sim, the LTE option appears.

[Q] How to enable band 3 lte on nexus 4, running rooted 4.4.2?

Hi,
I did google around this subject, but unfortunately that just left me very confused!
I need to enable band 3 LTE on my Nexus 4. I am running Android 4.4.2, rooted and all that. I have to stay on this version because I can't manage to share the VPN connection when tethering on other versions. (Long story).
How do I enable band 3 LTE? Complicating factor: the middle of the touchscreen is broken so I can't use the keypad properly .
Many thanks.

There is no band 3 LTE on the Nexus 4. The only LTE band the Nexus 4 is physically capable of supporting is band 4, and this was left dormant (which is why a hack is required to enable it). My guess is it has band 4 LTE because the only US carrier to offer the Nexus 4 was T-Mobile, which had the rights to use band 4 (and only band 4), but at the time of release, they hadn't yet upgraded their network yet to support LTE. So rather than jump through the FCC hoops to get it certified, they just left it dormant. Regardless, you can only get LTE on band 4 on the Nexus 4.

s5 verizon lte band 3

Hi there. Can someone help me please to get a lte connection on band 3 s5 verizon g900v. It connects on band 3 but i got no signal. Here is a screenshot with details on attachement. What may cause service: limited ?
I'm not sure why you want band 3. I think Verizon uses 4 and 13 and blocks 3. 3 is widely a universal band which I think they purposely block.
To unlock all the bands try this. Go to UE Settings/Settings/Protocol/NAS/Network Control/Band Selection and select LTE all bands.
I want band 3 because im using the phone in europe and the lte band of carrier is 3. If i unlock all lte band its still trying to connect on band 3 on others has no service.

Then follow the instructions above and select LTE/WCDMA. That will unlock all the bands supported by the Qualcomm chip.
Selected all lte bands. Then network mode lte/wcdma. And still no 4G just H+.

Have you tried selecting LTE/WCDMA? I need to select that one for some networks when I travel.
Tried that too...

hmm
Ok i put the sim from s5 verizon on another 4G phone and i got signal but on band 7. Now i cant switch to band 7 on s5 verizon so i can get 4G signal... i try to force lte band 7 from service menu but it doesnt stay the asterix just wont show up just on band 3 , 4 or 13. Is there any way to force to go on band 7? The nv values are 594014 for bands 2 3 4 5 7 13 17 20.
