thanks for posting this.
I'm quite sure I'd be happy with 2/16 version.
Not a gamer.

I wonder what the difference means in terms of battery life.

What interests me more is how much free memory is left once the phone is on so out of curiosity I paused the youtube video and there is 721mb free on the 2Gb version but I don't know what apps are loaded or if it's a clean boot.
Interestingly the 3Gb did not have that much more free ram at 950mb free so assuming he left stuff open in the background?.

Well, I guess people can't say the screen resolution is a performance drain. It seemed to beat out all the other devices.

Internal storage does matter.
16GB (raw) + SDXC for 2GB model
32GB (raw) + SDXC for 3GB model

yes, but if 2/16 is $500 and 3/32 is $700, I'd rather put in $100 128GB microSDXC in 2/16 and save a franklin

32 GB version of Note 2....?!?

Hello,
Friends, does anyone has any clue/idea as to how soon will the 32 GB version of Note 2 be launched/available...?
Thanks.
Me too looking forward to it...
Any info on this please report....

Me three! Can get from Mobicity/Clove/Hantec but would prefer a 32/64gb LTE (a bonus) carrier version to come to Aus! Waiting is driving me crazy....want this phone! 4G definitely not essential for me but (at the very least) 32gb is
iPhone Tapatalk
Me four
The LTE in the N7150 probably wouldn't work with the ass-backwards 4g infrastructure here anyway, but I really want a grey 64gb. I've only found 16GB variants here in Norway.

You'll have to wait a bit, just like S3 it was harder to find when it just got released... I bought the 16GB with a 64GB microsd problem solved
How long did the SIII take to get 32GB after launch? To me 16GB is just not enough internal storage - I'm not android competent (yet) and I'd like easy access to more storage for Apps (happy to shove music/films etc on 64GB card)

Doesn't help those who want 64gb + 64gb = 128gb of storage, like I do. I hope it won't take as long for the 64gb Galaxy Note II to be released, as it will for the Galaxy S III (why is this still not released!?!?).

32GB Note 2 is available in Dubai for 2450 Dhs ($662 USD). Just ordered one and it's coming tonight, will keep you posted.
EDIT: Spoke too soon.. they're "out of stock" on the 32GB, got the 16GB instead+ 64GB MicroSD
@ gabster21,
could you kindly clarify....
1. Is the 32GB "out of stock" because a 32GB for sale is already launched and a lot of people ordered it...? (hence waiting for new stock of 32GB)
or
2. Is it "out of stock" because it is not available as of now...?!? (waiting for 32GB to be launched)
thanks.
I was told I could get the 32gb version for about 60 $ extra than the 16gb, of course I said yes. The person from the shop then called me back saying that they were sold out.
He said they would receive more on Sunday however I'm not sure I really believe him and it's possible they never had it in the first place. 64gb sd card makes up for it though

32 or 64 gbs

Since this phone is going to be expensive, the amount of storage is more important than ever. Some people are already on the edge of getting a $650 Nexus, but bumping up the price to $700 might turn off even more people.
What storage will you get?
Personally I'm going to opt for 64 gbs of storage.

As will I. Been waiting for a Nexus device that rivals the Galaxy Note's size.
I am hearing rumors that T-Mobile will be selling only the 64GB model but at the total price of the 32GB model. So I am hyped for that.
That said however if I am wrong and its only the 32GB model, it will be no real loss to me. Both are a better upgrade than 16GB in my opinion!

ART will utilize more storage space too, so if you install a lot of apps you might be struggling just as much with the 32GB as you were with 16 on Dalvik.
I'm hoping those T-Mo rumors are true as well, because 64GB would be fantastic, but if they aren't I don't think it's going to be easy for me to afford the 64GB version. So probably 32GB for me if I wind up getting the device (I'm still not really decided either way).
Switch from Dalvik to ART on your current device to compare the level of cache used by ART. It helps to choose between 32/64Gb.
I was hoping for a 128 GB option.
Why no microSD card slot? That is my only complaint about the phone.

64 since no micro sd
This is a 6" tablet. Aside from development, it's mean for media consumption, and games. Even stock Android seems to be getting a little big now, especially with ART apps which take up a lot more space than Dalvik. I suggest 64GB if possible. That 32GB is probably going to be about 24GB out of the box and won't last long.
64GB. I'm glad Google is finally selling devices with high amounts of storage.

64MB isn't going to be big enough to hold all that porn.
I've been waiting for a GPE note forever, but this is so much better. I wonder if it will have Motorola Touchless Controls or something similar, but I'm thinking on performance alone it might be worth giving that up. Plus I can get a 360 to go with it
I think I changed my mind, in my original post I said I'd go 32GB for the price reasoning. But really, doubling the storage, you're getting more bang for your buck with the 64GB version. Way bigger move than the Nexus 5's 16->32GB. So if I decide to go with the Nexus 6 after reading reviews and I can afford it, I'll probably go with the 64GB version. Subject to change as always haha
I store absolutely zero music & zero movies on my phone.
Think I'll be perfectly fine with 32gb
32 gig. I have unlimited data I dont need to download music and i usually just stream netflix/hbogo
64. That's the only way I'll be comfortable without an SD card slot.
I'm getting 64GB but I won't really need it. At least not right now, more of future proofing.
I utilize the cloud pretty good. Between a 1TB cloud space (OneDrive) synced with my PCs (documents, pictures, custom folders) and devices, and Google Play handling all my media.
The internal SD will just be used for huge apps & games, complete backups, huge mods & ROM collection, and general portable storage (aka USB drive).
The best thing is that I plan on getting it via AT&T Next 18 (20 month) for $34/mo, it's only a $2.50 difference between the two (32GB).

Supported SDCard standards

hey everyone,
does anybody know which sd card standards are supported by the s7 edge? UHS-I, UHS-II ..... I can't find any informations about this.
This leads to the question if it's just "burning money" to buy a hight quality sd card with UHS-II standard because the S7 can't utilize the performance the card offers or if it can utilize it and it would be a performance win to have such a good sd card.
regards,
mika

S7 tops out at a little under 80mb/s read and about 60mb/s write. So fast uhs 1 cards are enough.
If you buy a sandisk extreme pro (uhs 1 rated 95 MB read), DON'T format it. It will slow down the write speed a lot. The sd formatter Programm helped a little but still about 5-8mb/s slow than before at write speed in a1 sd bench. Androbench didn't change much.

The BGR link is recommending that "...if you’re looking for flagship performance from your memory for these particualr [sic] smartphones, this is the best card to purchase right now"
Considering that everything we know right now indicates that UHS-II is not implemented (note the distinction between implemented and supported) it would appear that their opinion is about as good as their proof-reading.

Really stupid configuration when 64gb should of had 4gb ram and 32gb with 3gb ram. Oh well it is what it is.

SD Cards - what do you use, what is best/fastest?

What do you all use, I'm interested to see what is the best for speed & capacity,I don't know if it supports the new UFS standard or if any of those cards exist (or fit) yet.

As far as I am aware, the S8 does not have the hardware to support UHS-2 or 3 so there will be no benefit in using UHS-3 cards. They will be compatible but will just operate as UHS-1 cards.

No I'm not, there is no such thing as UHS-III, it's only UHS-I OR UHS-II at the moment and the s8 only supports UHS-I not UHS-II, the speed class U1 U2 and U3 is completely different and are the minimum speed requirements for that class card, U1 is minimum 10MB/s, the U2 is minimum 20MB/s and the U3 class card is minimum 30MB/s. And the s8 supports U1 U2 and U3 like I said in my original post.
