well you can move some apps which are movable to sdcard.. but only if you are rooted you can move data. try link2sd.. or first search "KitKat app data to sdcard" I'm sure you will find answer.
also questions should be posted in Q&A section. you can report your own post to request for move

Settings > application > open the app and make sure the second block on the right says "move to phone"... if it says that, then you then application is on the SD card. Or you can check the market for one of many free applications
Ok tried that doesn't let me save to sd card, now is that the only way or is there an app for that?

Ok got that I understand but I want to know if there is a way to move the apps that are not highlighted. The ones you can't move is there a app for that.
all apps cannot be moved to the sd card. if you used the method that was explained to you before and its grayed out, but not on the sd card, then chances are it cant be moved! an app has to have that option built into it in order to be moved to the sd card. you can contact the developer and see if the have plans to or to request that option!
Try appmonster it backups your apps if that's what you're asking

The themes should automatically be stored to the SDcard. Are you talking about the "theme setup"?
Yeah their not going to my sdcard okay I will tell you what I'm trying to do. I wanted to get one theme to put on my computer then use that theme to customize it to the way I like it. Would be easier than trying to figure out how to make one. Or if there is other way I'm all ears.
If it won't move to SD card, since you are rooted you can find it on your phone and COPY the folder/file to another place on the SD card, then connect to computer and drag and drop the copied file.

I have installed Dexter Mod 1.41. I can see that my sd card mounts but how do I move apps to the sd card folder. i can move them to sdcard-disk0, but not to the sdcard-disk. I can copy them, but they stay on my internal memory.
Thanks,
Scott

You don't.
Covered many times.
The /sdcard/ path does not map to the actual SD card so trying to store apps on SD does not work.

I took him out of my sig in an attempt to be nice. Today just seems like a day that he wants to come back out though
Today has already brought "when will we get multi touch", "can't move apps to SD card" ... I think all thats left is "I bought an A7 and my wife left me, will installing DexterMod fix this?"
Which version will save my marriage? 1.3 or 1.4.x? Or FW?????
For a laugh, read my post on the OT thread.

[Q]Help required on Rooting Xperia Play

Hi All,
I have couple of basic question regarding rooting my xperia play. First of all i am not sure what i want is rooting only, so i will explain my problem, please let me know what i am trying to do is correct or not.
With the device, i got a dumb internal memory. I am a gaming freak, so downloaded most of the games and apps. So now i m running out of memory(Internal + SD card).
Today i purchased 16GB card over 8GB, which solved one problem.
Another problem is with the Internal memory. only 30MB is free currently.
1) Somewhere i read that if i root the device, i can force move all the applications to the SD card. so i decided to root. Is this the only solution?
2) I am following http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1043630
thread for rooting, can you please let know the OS image mentioned in there is the latest?
3) If there are multiple flavors of OS for xperia play, can you please let me know which the best OS to flash?
Thanks,
Harsha

@AndroHero:
Thanks for your help. It really helped me a lot. With the help of App 2 SD i moved all possible apps to SD. Now internal memory has 130MB free.
I have some more questions,
1) After i move any game to SD, i could still see its presence in internal memory but in few KB's. Is this the data of my progress in that game?
2) How to move already pre-installed games to SD? Also a game called "Crash......" i want to un-install.
3) Going forward, with installing new games and apps, i may run out of internal memory again, that's the time to root?
Thanks,
Harsha

1. Not too sure but I know it leaves a footprint in your internal memory.
2. Use Titanium Backup to remove them and then reinstall the apk to force them to the sd card. I did this with fifa, sims, etc.
3. Yes

Download astro file manager.
You could install then move to sd, why not?
Carefully crafted on my Galaxy Note, for your eyes only
Move to SD only moves to the internal SD. OP wants the choice to move to external

Low Space Warning

So apparently even though I have an SD card in my S4 all my folders including my backups through twrp get saved to internal device storage and it is killing me in term of space. It's ridiculous. Now I haven't formatted my sd card since I had my evo 3D. Can that be it?

Just move your TWRP backup folder to your sdcard or off load some of of your backups. I keep one maybe two backups at any 1 time.
Edit - sorry didn't fully read your op. Get a file manager from the play store and go to "storage/ext sdcard" this is your actual sdcard. You can move files in between both internal and external storage.
