Settings > application > open the app and make sure the second block on the right says "move to phone"... if it says that, then you then application is on the SD card. Or you can check the market for one of many free applications

Ok tried that doesn't let me save to sd card, now is that the only way or is there an app for that?

Ok got that I understand but I want to know if there is a way to move the apps that are not highlighted. The ones you can't move is there a app for that.

all apps cannot be moved to the sd card. if you used the method that was explained to you before and its grayed out, but not on the sd card, then chances are it cant be moved! an app has to have that option built into it in order to be moved to the sd card. you can contact the developer and see if the have plans to or to request that option!

Try appmonster it backups your apps if that's what you're asking

The themes should automatically be stored to the SDcard. Are you talking about the "theme setup"?

Yeah their not going to my sdcard okay I will tell you what I'm trying to do. I wanted to get one theme to put on my computer then use that theme to customize it to the way I like it. Would be easier than trying to figure out how to make one. Or if there is other way I'm all ears.

If it won't move to SD card, since you are rooted you can find it on your phone and COPY the folder/file to another place on the SD card, then connect to computer and drag and drop the copied file.

Messy sd card

I installed all my apps in internal memory ...
but all these apps created ''messy'' folders in my sd card ... making it even more messy.
Is there a way to ''ask'' these apps to install in specific sd card folder??
like \\sd\apps\data\
If you mean Froyo apps2sd they are all stored in a folder called .android_secure
Some apps also create folders on the SDcard for storing data regardless if you installed it on sd or internal.. Thats the developers choice I guess, where to put them.

there just app data folders, any you delete will either be restored when you next boot up your fone or next run a certain program so your wasting your time deleting any
They haven't installed on the sdcard. Like others have said, these folders are actually what the app creates to store data on. Some are images the app uses, others may be cached items or backups.
i think what the op means, is,if there is any way to tell the app where to put his data on the sd card, like on windows where you can tell a program where to instal.
and as far as i know that is not possible.
Thats why i have My_Music, My_Wallpapers, My_Ringtones etc. folders in my card, so it can be as messy as it wants, but my own stuff is there in one place. Easy to find.

Is there any way to install Apps into SD card instead of phone memory?

I am running Darkstone Android. I would like to install all my apps onto the SD card instead of the phone memory. Is there any way to do that?
Thanks
Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Select the app you want to move > Move to SD card. If you can it'll be available, otherwise it won't

What folder do all the installed programs/games go to?

Whenever the games or applications are installed, they will be installed to the SD card (most of the time) for Froyo 2.2.
However, when I try to search for where these programs are installed I could not find them. Which folder in the SD card are all of the games/apps installed to? I need the name of the folder/directory.

Apps2DS/ApptoSD

First post. I have A7 Dex mod 1.41. Should these apps (Apps2SD or ApptoSD) move the selected app to external sd card automatically? After uninstalling the selected app from internal stg. I have to manually cut/paste to external sd card and reinstall. It must be easier than that.

Yeah I have been trying to figure that one out too. I am using the free version. When I go to the list of moveable apps I do not get the option of moving any of them. If I hit the settings button I do get the option to "move all," but none of them move. I really dont want to move all of them anyway, just my less used apps.
How do you move them from the internal memory to the SD card? I did check a few other forums but couldnt find much.
Thanks!
The current kernel from the official firmware and the custom ones like Dexter one don't support app2sd feature.

[Q] Help moving big apps to my sd card.

I'm trying to move anomaly 2 to my sd card, but it doesn't work. When I go to the application manager I have the option to move it to my sd card, but when I try it takes forever and then at the end it says unable to move app. I have moved many apps this way, but this one wont move. The only difference I can think of is the size of the app, anomaly 2 is 1.8gb which is the biggest game I have. I am using kitkat 4.4.2, and I am also rooted (this problem happened before I rooted though.)

I don't mind if I cant move the data, I just want to move the huge app from my internal storage to my sd card. I used the built-in app manager.

IF "move to sd-card" option is available in built-in app manager but u cannot move it.
that can be bug in that app. ask other user of app or its developer

Thanks, I didn't know it was up to the developer. I emailed the developer and unfortunately, I can't move it. Is there anyway to move it since my phone is rooted?

cause it s on app the answer is NO.

(that is available on galaxy devices by default)
