Amazon sellee - Xperia Z2 General

HI I want to buy the z2 u was wondering if anyone has bought it from Amazon US, and got a phone with no flaws and recent batch.. Would you mind telling me which seller? Thanks
Sent from my XPERIA S using XDA app

I was going to buy one from amazon and then turned out my local carrier store actually was selling it unlocked at a lower price than Amazon plus local 2-year warranty from Sony here in Australia.
Just be mindful when you purchase from any of them because not all Z2 comes with NC headphones. The Australian version certainly doesn't, I can tell you that. You might want to factor that in when you look at the prices.
In terms of build quality, I think you just need to play with the odds. Mine is 14w18 without any issue, yet some people with phones around the same batch are complaining about gaps and whatnot.
Someone was posting about a deal on eBay, Z2 for only US$599. I doubt you get warranty out of those resellers on Amazon anyway since those phones are not going to be the US domestic model. Why not go for the cheapest? (well, possibly cheapest)

cheap HD

Hello guys Im new to this Touch HD forum and I want one BAD...I found one Cheap from a company in China & I would like to know has anybody else bought one from China? Its unlocked and they said it will work with T-Mobile.
The best price I have heard on Touch HD is around $720 + Shipping to the US from resellers in UK. Nothing from China... if I were you, I will not throw away my money from a seller in a country where it is not released yet, and has a cheaper price.
Again, just my thought... Its your money and your deal.
I live in China. Tell me the name of the company and give a link and I'll check it out. My first impression though is no way. THe touch hd is not officially released here yet so the only way to legally get them is to have them shipped from Hong Kong and they are expensive ($800 US), so I doubt that some company in China would be getting them from abroad and then shipping them to you cheaper than someone like handtec who is getting them directly from HTC in Europe....
1. Like everything in life, if it's too good to be true, it usually is. If this chinese company is indeed reputable, then go ahead. But be warned with the risks involved in importing goods, you have to be prepared to assume all risks and liabilities (warranty, shipping problems, fraud, etc). From my view as of Dec 8, 2008, HTC Touch HD is still pre-order only in many shops and sells for about $800 to $900 due to high demand.
2. Unlocked GSM phones will work with any GSM carriers, that's the nature of being 'unlocked'. However, the downside is that they're usually not subsidized by the GSM carrier and thus more expensive. A trade off between flexibility and cost. For me, the flexibility of being able to use any GSM card when I travel abroad outweighs the cost.

define cheap? before shipping, mine was approximately $670.00 US from Clove Technology. even at today's exchange rate (around 1.50 dollars for each GBP), $700 from a reputable reseller is the best price you'll get. i've seen US retailers selling for as much as $840 and that doesn't include shipping!
Ok update ...Ive now Got a contact in the USA that I can get the phones from Cheap, and when I say cheap I mean under 400.00 shipped to your door.Im registered to get them wholesale...this is where Ebayers probably get them from to re-sell for a big profit .Im gonna be joining you guys soon I hope

Xperia Arc in EU

There are several shops that are selling it already, either through Amazon websites, their own websites, or via eBay.
Where do these shops get their Arcs?
For instance this one from eBay
With 99.5% positive feedback I doubt there is some scheming going on or that they are lying about really having some pcs.
Sony Ericsson will be distributing the midnight blue one from tomorrow (tuesday). Just because you can already buy them doesn't have to mean they have them in stock!
I noticed that they state for all their phones that they have 3pcs in stock, which was pretty weird come to think about it. I would still prefer to buy from Amazon, it feels safer.
eBay is completely safe if you pay with Paypal! But Amazon is probably safer.

How come the n10 never hit retail stores in Canada?

I was happy and surprised when the n7 came to canada at the same time as the US, (well I think a week later) when usually we may get a product at a much later date, so I thought the same thing would happen with the nexus 10, but it never did. It's still not on sale in retail store here and I assume never will be. Yes, samsung made this and not asus, but other samsung products are sold here, so why not this?
I kind of get the impression that the n10 didn't hit that many retail stores in the US either, but I could be wrong.
Staples and Walmart as far as I know are the only two retail stores in the USA . And only the 32gb at 499
Got mine at Walmart yaaay no shipping lol
Samsclub also has it but that's owned by the same person as Walmart. I got mime from there

Ok so it seems it was a very limited release in the US and not at all in Canadian retail. Why was that?
It seems like they had a huge retail success with the N7 and the 10 inch was a very competitively priced tablet for the hardware you were getting and seemed poised to be another big success, so it seems weird to me to barely give it a push distributing it in such few retail markets.
Especially when considering the rest of samsung's line is available here in retail.
I think it's because Google started selling it directly from thheir play store you can order one from there. They have international shipping

Well, yeah I know you can buy it online, even in canada, and although online shopping is growing, retail is still a huge market.
And they had online shopping with the nexus 7 as well, but of course also decided on retail distribution. I'll be surprised when the nexus 7 successor is announced if it is online only.
I had a couple of friends who wanted to buy a n10 for christmas and asked me and I said yeah it's online only and they instead went with something else.
I still like to buy retail cause if there's any issues I can go right back to the store for a replacement. Say I had an issue with my n7, then I have to mail it back and be without it for a week or whatever if I bought a dud?
As I said you can buy samsung's other tablet products retail, and google's other offerings retail as well, except the n10.
Well I thought it was an exception and there was a reason why, but I hope it's not a sign of things to come.

Market Price for Used?

Currently Google is selling the 128gb model 6p in the US for $649.00 (+tax + shipping). Is that a reduced price? I'm seeing multiple listings for used 128gb models, but all are for more than $649.00. Are these Swappa sellers hoping to find a sucker? Or has Google dropped the price for the holidays? I can't imagine why anyone would want to pay more for a used phone vs less for a new one with a warranty. Weird.
It would make a lot of sense in markets where the 6p is not available officially, but most likely these sellers are trying their luck and taking their time with selling them at a higher price to see what happens. Maybe the slight possibility that these phones might be out of stock in stores during the holidays in peek demand, might be something to look at.

Supply and demand my friend. Its relatively difficult for folks to get their hands on these phones.
That is the retail price, it hasn't been raised or lowered. The 5X on the other hand has gone down in price.

Nexus 6P in UK - Where to buy?

Hi All,
Now that Google Store is not selling 6P anymore, I am just wondering where I can buy a proper 6P here in the UK. Amazon has some marketplace sellers who still sell the device, which are not reliable as to the warranty as well as the models. I can see none of other retailers do sell 6P anymore. I can see the likes of eglobalcentral.co.uk but heard that they have very poor customer service if something goes wrong with the item (need to send the devices to Far East for warranty repair).
Any ideas, as I am planning to buy 6P instead of the overpriced Pixel.
Thanks
I think you can still get them in certain retail stores from Carphone Warehouse while they have stock.
