I am not cleared with your problem. If you are trying to unlock your recovery than
1. Install Acer recovery application from play store.
2. From tegraowners.com download latest recovery image.
3. Save your recovery image in your sd card.
4. Run Acer recovery and backup your current recovery image.
5. Select install from sd card, and update your recovery.

there is only one for acer and its free !
For OTA ICS:
Root using Blackthunders one click root tool. Then use Afterota to add kernel, v7 unlocked bootloader and CWM.
ICS has locked bootloader that you need to unlock before flashing a recovery.

Thanks I can not get my to do nothing but boot up and shows Acer on front I have a brick are they a file to get work I can't get in usbdugging nothing and I don't no about Skype thank you so much for your help and use uvflash I think that can work don't no what to do thanks again for your time

I was rooting a droid x when I was about to flash MiUi the phone shut down well I had already wipe the system and now I cannot enter recovery and the droid x does not have a functional home button.
Help? The phone will not boot. The only thing I can boot to is Boot loader.
So nobody?
Did you flas recovery before miui?
Do you know what fw you were running

Definitely a SBF, as listed above.
Make sure you SBF to the correct version.

Ok so I'm not exactly new to the rooting scene but I'm having trouble since getting the 4.2.1 update. Upon installing TWRP 2.5 and various flavors of CWM, The system is unable to mount anything in recovery! Everything else works great but just not the recovery. Anyone have a fix for this? Not sure if I am willing to downgrade stock, I am afraid that it will brick my device (what happened last time)

You are flash the wrong twrp Version. You need 2.5.0.0. Jb4_2 .

Just rooted my new Galaxy Tab 4 8" (SM-T330NU) using odin's method. And it worked !!
Now i'm trying to find a way to flash a custom rom (or the CM roms) to remove the installed crap from samsung, any one has a link for me ?
Not yet. As far as I know, they're still working on a custom recovery that will be supported for this tablet. Please let me know if that's changed.

Hi guys, I rooted my tab but I been trying to find the cyanogen mod rom that I can use on this tab. Anything newer than this 5.1.1 is better I guess.
Can anybody point me to latest best rom out there?
