OnePlus One 16GB in Stock for $399 at Oppomart? - ONE General

http://www.oppomart.com/oppo-phones/oneplus-one.html This website says it has the 16GB OPO in stock for $399. Obv it has a $100 markup on it compared to the price direct from OnePlus. Has anyone bought from this website before? Are they legit?
All the fanboys on oneplus forums are saying it's fake/scam/etc but I don't necessarily trust their opinions. It may be fake/scam, I'm in no way endorsing it, I just want to find out more about it.

Looks pretty sketchy to me. First of all, it doesn't make sense that 1+ would allow a 3rd party site to sell phones that even it hasn't started to. Also, the site is littered with poor English and misspellings (i.e. OnePlus One is Oneplus one, and just check out their "blog").
Just wait a while longer, and we'll get the phone legit.

Yeah that doesn't look legit...rather wait for the official sale from Oneplus.

They aren't allowing it, in fact any mention of oppomart on their forums is removed/thread closed. The phone was made for sale to the general public in China, so maybe it's some wholesaler/exporter who got a lot of them? Who knows.

They've said repeatedly that they are trying to avoid reselling and grey market devices, but both are inevitable.

Cant you just buy one tomorrow from opo's chinese website tomorrow? They even say free shipping if you pay all online. Does that mean free international or is it restricted to china.

someone get this so we can find out

This shop is real , or not ?
No DHL ?...

For now, this shop is offline, at least for me...

most likely legit, not uncommon for chinese startup companies to sell their phones for more at 3rd party sites due to 2 possiblities: reseller or the company itself. Xiaomi has been doing it since it started selling 3 years ago

Can you just flash the cm 11s for the US on it and use it here minus LTE?

CM11 on chinese variant
I have installed CM11 and it works well, no issue just not sure about updates. My problem is ATT uses wcdma 850/1900 and this phone is 850/1800, meaning spotty mobile data, If I had to do this over again I would never bought from OPPOMART as it is false advertising. I e-mailed them and they are unwilling to return the product as I thought. Buyer beware.

I've been looking at the available bands on this device. You'll be in trouble if you use this anywhere in the US. Check it out:
Cell. Frequencies
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
WCDMA: Bands: 2100 / 1900 / 850 / 900
TD-LTE:2570-2620 / 1880-1920 / 2300-2400
FDD-LTE: Bands: 2100 / 1800 / 2600
But has anyone looked at Flosmall?
These guys have about 10 screenshots of CM11 full unboxing everything.

Aquiring US version of HD2 in UK?

I was looking at the best deal i could get on the HD2 when i heard about the US version, has there been any news on the 'upgraded' US version coming to anywhere else? Namely the UK? I dont want to sign up to a contract to then see the better version released
Or would an imported handset from the US work in the UK?
3g high speed data wouldn't work in the uk. and before you ask no, flashing a different rom or radio wouldn't fix that, the frequencies are built into the hardware.
for the sake of the extra rom in my opinion it isn't worth it and to be honest I suspect they'll be difficult to get as they will be tmobile usa locked.

I don't see why 3G data wouldn't work. The handset is listed as 1700 (AWS) / 2100.
If it only worked on the T-Mobile USA bands they would have just listed it as 1700 (AWS) [even though it still needs 2100 to work on T-Mobile USA].
Without 2100 the phone could only be used in a tiny handful of countries - well, not even a handful really, which would very much destroy some of the appeal of the phone.
If you really want one then Ebay will be your friend. However considering all the problems this phone has had I wouldn't buy one that I couldn't return or exchange, I really wouldn't.
Oh ok thanks guys, just a thought.
Think i'll plump for the Uk one then & see what happens
Thanks
I asked htc back then, even if thair response was obviously the "commercial" one, it was clear enough, "that version of hd2 has been customized especially for tmobile usa and will not be available elsewhere also because it won't work on other networks." or something along those lines.

The UK version has different LTE bands to the USA. So the 64GB Dev edition will not work on 4G(LTE) in the UK.

Hi, I got it from USA with the help of my friend who lives there.
Thanks
A bit more information on purchasing from the USA and supported networks in the UK....
A friend of mine is the chief technical officer of a VERY large mobile operator
I asked him about the HTC One and supported networks.....he went into an insane amount of detail, but here is the summary
Looking at this USA website
http://www0-shopamerica.htc.com/cell-phones/productdetail.htm?prId=41599
It says this
HSPA/WCDMA: 850/1900/2100 MHz
GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
LTE: 700/850/AWS/1900 MHz (US)
HSPA/WCDMA is basically 3G and will work in UK and Europe with those Mhz
GSM/GPRS/EDGE is just old 2G and will work
LTE - this is where we suffer, as Most of Europe including the UK uses 1800 LTE
So basically, if you buy a phone from the USA, you'll get 3G working no problem, but LTE wont work at all because the UK use 1800 and USA HTC ONE doesn't support it.
If you look at the one here
http://www.mobicity.co.uk/htc-one-64gb.html
You'll see it supports LTE 1800, so that will work in the UK with these new super fast speeds
For me, 3G is fine, so i'm going to go for the USA edition and get a friend to bring me one (when black is available)
But for others the 4G/LTE speeds are a deal breaker
He also said the phone should support HSPA+ as its such a new high end device.
But he said he would have to double check it first (but was pretty confident)
HTC One 4G LTE 64GB ... how much ??
I face the very same problem
I want the developer edition too - I'm just waiting for someone to courier it back from the US for me
Its not worth getting the HTC One 64GB from MobiCity at that price - its actually gone down to £670 now as they must not be moving any of the units
if they knock off another £50-£100 I'd consider it.
The problem in the UK is they just turn a dollar sign $ into a £ sign
HTC One 4G LTE 64GB = £671.99
HTC One Dev Edition 64GB = $649.99
and LTE is only available one network here so it wont be beneficial to me till the end of the year

I think the black is cool though but knowing me ...and the fact that I wont use a case. It would hurt my feeling to scratch the black colored aluminium and see the metal coming through
I actually dont think they do a 64gb black dev edition
although I just realised that MobileCity
are pricing the two colours differently
so they actually havent dropped the price at all
I brought it in ringgit malaysia RM2559.00.
I dont know what the currency in uk.

My apologies for the multiple threads. If the moderators see the other one, please delete it.

What I don't get is why NO reporter NO journalist NO ONE in tech thought to ask Huawei straight out if there is ANOTHER model coming out for the US market? There is 2GB+16GB ROM version FDD-LTE band: B1/B3 1800MHz/2100MHz
3GB RAM+32GB ROM version FDD-LTE band: B1/B3/B7 1800MHz/2100MHz/2600MHz
T-Mobile FDD-LTE: 1700/2100 ?
There are only B1/B3/B7 now because the MIIT(Ministry of Industry and Information Technology,Chinese Telecom manage department) limited.
You will enjoy more bands after un-limited-- Need 2-3 months since Chinese FDD-LTE marketing develop slowly.
Yes, Need flash NEW ROM un-limited then.

Just because it was working doesn't mean he got full LTE speed. As far as my research took me Band 4 (AWS) of T-Mobile uses a 2100 MHz range downlink and 1700 MHz range uplink.

Great News! Chinese version works on T-Mobile with LTE

This is a glorious day!!!!
Ok, so I was browsing Youtube for some reviews of the Ascend Mate 7 and I came across this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNVV20U5qtU (website here: http://www.androidheadlines.com/2014/09/huawei-ascend-mate-7-first-impressions.html)
The reviewer (Alexander Maxham) said that he had a Chinese version that was sent to him by Huawei. I asked in the comments whether he had tried any North American SIM cards, and these are the responses I got:
Me:
Thanks for the video. Quick question. I assume you're in North America somewhere, have you tested the Chinese version that you have on any of the North American Networks? There seems to be some confusion about whether there will be a US-specific version of the device or if the Chinese version will give HSPA+ or LTE in the US and Canada.
Alex:
Right now, I have a AT&T sim in there, and it's only HSPA+. But it should work completely on T-Mobile's LTE network. I don't have their SIM right now but should have one in a few days.
Me:
Okay great. If you could give us update when you get it and try it, i'm sure many people would appreciate it. This phone looks great btw. It's almost certainly going to be my next phone (coming from Note 3). I'll subscribe so I can see your full review when it's posted.
Alex:
It fully works on T-Mobile. About the same speeds as my T-Mobile branded LG G3 is getting. Kind of weird usually foreign phones work completely on AT&T and only get EDGE and sometimes HSPA+ on T-Mobile. But it's full on LTE this time around, which is great.
I see no reason to doubt him. And this makes me very happy. Full LTE on T-Mobile!

There seems to be some confusion about whether there will be a US-specific version of the device or if the Chinese version will give HSPA+ or LTE in the US and Canada.

thanks for the update, does he have any speed tests to show that his speeds are the same as on his G3?

He hasn't posted his full review yet, only the unboxing. I'm sure he'll discuss the speeds he's getting when he does his full review.

Sorry, didn't look at the video, when you say that he talks about using it with at&t and t-mobile, are you saying he says LTE works on T-Mobile?
yes, I will go and look at the video, just can't do that at work.

Yes thats right. He got LTE on T-mobile. He said it was way better speeds than he got with his G3
I find this incredibly ridiculous that news sources, websites, and even Huawei themselves doesn't know what networks the Mate 7 works on. I'll wait for 2 or 3 more people to confirm this works on T-Mobile before buying it. I'd want the 32GB/3GB RAM version, will that work with TMo LTE?
Good news if it works with T Mobile

I will be going to Taipei and Thailand in November so maybe I can buy the Mate 7 there. My big worry is whether there would be various models or variations in hardware configurations. I still find it strange that it seems hard to determine if a phone works with a specific carrier until it gets used on that carrier. If the phone says it works on Bands 2 and 4 should it not definitely work on T Mobile's LTE network? I sometimes wonder if the cell phone companies purposely confuse the issue so you will not buy a different phone. I am not an iphone guy but I believe I read that the Sprint and US Cellular Iphones (and maybe Verizon?)
support virtually every cell phone band in the world, if true, that is what I would like to see in a phone. You never know when you might make a wrong turn and end up in Chad or Outer Mongolia!
Bill
Not sure what bands its connecting on... as Tmobile in USA looks like it has 700, 1700 and 1900... but none of those are the reported 1,3,7 LTE FDD bands that the the mate7 is supposed to have.... maybe it also has band 2?
EDIT: If this is true, then it all makes sense how the reviewer was getting full speeds on tmobile. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55468358&postcount=1 + http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55500623&postcount=3IF those bands are available while roaming, then it makes sense as band 2 would enable it. Also band 4.

Further confirmation that the device gets LTE on T-mobile.
So according to this, it works on at LTE too?

Yes. From the article:
" This version of the Ascend Mate 7 supports LTE and HSPA+ on T-Mobile and AT&T so I am enjoying it on T-Mobile's LTE network."
He didn't list a specific version, but I'm sure he would have mentioned if it were a US specific version as opposed to the normal Chinese version. So far all of the reviews that I have seen where Huawei has sent out a device have been the Chinese version.
Wonder which Chinese version it is since I want to pick one up next month when I travel. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I don't know personally. Mayne you should go to the article and ask in the comments. They might be kind enough to let you know the specific model number.
I went ahead and asked which version he had working on t-mobile lte in the comments. He said...... "It shows model number MT7-L09. This one has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage"
He also mentioned with his pre paid ATT sim he was only getting HSPA+.
Interesting. It could be the APN with his att prepaid Sim. But at least it works for T-Mobile for sure.

MT7-TL10 the 3 gig gold model appears to support identical bands as the 2 gig model above.
It appears aliexpress has updated the description online to include bands 2 and 4 now

This confirms what I posted in the other thread from the Youtube reviewer (Alex from AndroidHeadlines) who stated that he had gotten HSPA+ on AT&T, but LTE on T-Mobile.
When I Googled the model number (MT7-L09) it brought me to this page (http://consumer.huawei.com/en/mobile-phones/support/manuals/ascend-mate7.htm) which has a US/English support manual for the phone and specs that list bands 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20/28.
MT7-L09 doesn't appear to be on sale anywhere online? I would rather the 3 gig model anyway. Might just pony up and try it. Shows the band's I need supported now. Coming from the note 3 this is exactly what I hoped the note 4 to be.

Yeah me too. I am just worried about ordering from Aliexpress and having it take a month to get to me. They are notorious for taking forever to ship to the US.
I really wish Huawei would get their stuff together and get this device in people's hands. Just put it on your website and let people pre-order it at least.

unlocking LTE bands in CH version of the note 7

Is it possible to unlock LTE bands in the china version of the note 7 . My country uses 1900,2600 for LTE and I do not seem to get connected to those bands.
Is there any way I can unlock these bands .
Currently I am connection to lte band 41 and switching to h+ .
Good day
So I have tried to unlock lte bands using DFS Tools I was able access the bands to my surprise the bands were selected already . But for some strange reason I cannot see the same bands in network guru for instance DFS shows lte band 2 enables but network guru does not have this band as a lte band
I am not sure but I think it might be hardware restricted?
If I make any progress I will update I will try a custom rom
If it was that simple everyone would just buy chinese version as it is cheaper than global. It involves a LOT OF work, reverse engineering and just blind guesing. For now, it is impossible. There was some cases in older devices that got bands unlocked, but again, it was an immense amount of work and took many devs and a lot of time. Forget it

I believe that this is exactly what will happen. Since the Pro doesn't come in a global version and is practically the champion of the cheapest budget phones as of now. Only time will tell.

I must've confused it with the standard RN7 on AliExpress but in regards to the price in India, it's still 180€. You can pre-buy at flipkart.com.
Anyways it's still worth the price and I don't think you'll find any other phone as beautiful and packed with power as this one for the same price.

Well, india is not whole world. People outside india can only get it for 230, which is a lot of for device that doesnt support global bands. So i dont think many people gonna buy it. For 230 in europe you can get pocophone So not budget at all
