Good thing since xt1033 is lacking in tons of development fun. If you could..
1) pull request for other roms like slim for dual sim support
2) cherry pic features taking cm11 as base (crdroid and c-rom seems to have all the ffeature)
3) port rom (miui is developing with kitkat nowadays)
Good luck

MOTO G 2014 Device need devs

Hey everyone out here .I wanna request the devs of this device to please look forward in building roms for moto g 2014 .
A month after the release only a single rom is been seen......hope there is someone who can look into the forum of moto g2
Pointless thread.
I don't know anything about Moto G 2014, from source perspective, but are they released the sources for different things for the device? Or are you here to call out the devs for making wonders in a land without source code?
Also, I remember when I got my Moto G 2013, first, there wasn't even a proper custom recovery image out there, only the superboot from MoDaCo, so patience my friend.
I agree there's no point in begging for developement. People will build if they want and when they want.
I agree dude but there's big difference between begging and requesting.
I now just came to know about the kernel sources not being released ...so devs might close the thread for good.
Thanks for replies friends.

Moto G 2014 will see custom roms after kernel source and lollipop release. Like others stated show some patience. In the meantime you can root and install xposed framework.

[WIP] Who wants full AOSP/CM12 (Android 5.0+) Support of the Moto G 2014? [XT1064/68]

Hi everyone! You guys probably don't know me (Shawn5162) because I haven't been active in the Moto G 2014 forums (except for my restore tool for windows) but I am very active in other device forums such as the Galaxy S5, Note 10.1 2014 Edition, LG G3, etc. In those forums I am defiantly a recognized dev, mostly for porting or compiling ROMs . But the reason I landed in this forum is because I recently I got a new device...the Moto G 2014 and feel it is a great device. But to my shock there were NO great ROMs for this device (by no means am a hatting on the 1 or 2 ROMs here). And that's where I come into play. I am a dev who has a lot of experience with AOSP and compiling and thus want to bring forth a great AOSP ROM for this device. Now I there will be no problem building it as I have experience and if do run into any issue I can refer to the Moto G 2013 devs (since both devices share almost identical specs). Also the AOSP ROM will always be on the latest version of Android (I promise i'll try my best). After all, the good thing about AOSP ROMs is you can have great levels of customization. Now there is a slim chance of failure in the project (like 1% only because everything in life has a chance of failing) but if everything goes well you guys will have a great dev supporting a great ROM. Finally, thanks for your cooperation and I will keep you guys posted all the way.
Sincerely,
Shawn5162
Also if you guys want this project to happen...please comment in the XDA comment section below.

We greatly lack dev for this device There are some but They have work on other device too its been over half a year since this device came out but still look still no No Working roms i wont blame the devs for this but its over half a year already
I'm very happy with KK, and when the update come, it will come for sure with working cm rom and moded stock.
I really don't understand why people need so desperately a rom when the stock one is working great(well for me it does) and the update is really close.
The only thing I'm missing is cm themes and layers.
Yeah am also not asking for any custom rom i just want some dev to port a grand prime lollipop stock rom to our grand prime.
I bought this grand prime two months ago happily but now when i look what phones are available now on same range then i get annoyed!! Irritated
Just check J5
What a phone n look at our phone
I really hate samsung for this now
I will save money and definately buy a iPhone 6
Rather buying s6
**** u samsung!!
What bout a challenge instead of a stock Rom port I would love a custom Rom that fully shows what this phone is truly capable of fast light Rom how bout it this phone is definitely picking up in popularity since cricket is using it as one of their cheep hi end phone thanks for reading my post

Compile an AOSP or CM Kernel, and people will start porting.
If you port a ROM, you can't boot it using Stock Kernel or the one from the ROM you have ported.
It's not like Mediatek, Rockchip or Allwinner Chips.
Somes interesting devices with same Chipset as G Prime:
- GALAXY A3, A5, E5, E7, GALAXY Core Prime (LTE), GALAXY J1 (LTE), GALAXY J5, GALAXY S4 Mini VE (I9190I), GALAXY Grand MAX === It will be easier to port from these devices.
- Xiaomi Redmi 2 (MIUI)
- Lenovo K3 Note (VibeUI)
- Huawei Ascend G620S (EmotionUI 3.X)
- YU Yuphoria (CyanogenMod 12 out of the box!)
- HTC Desire 510 and 620 (HTC Sense UI)
- Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen) (Stock Android Lollipop)
- LG F60, LG Spirit (H440N Version only) (LG UI)
- Oppo Mirror 5 (ColorOS UI)
And much much more...

I started to port Lollipop to Grand Prime even if I don't have it a moment ago.
The latest test version is here: https://mega.nz/#!MQUgXbCb!ULhzY1fnBpXSbA1-3FYNAPozLuAncqmldeol0_YRXUA
THE ROM ISN'T TESTED THAT IS WHY I NEED TESTERS BECAUSE I DON'T OWN THE DEVICE.
I can be a tester! I have SM-G530FZ, rooted, stock kernel

Request for ROM porting.

Hey developers! I need a little help from y'all today- I stumbled across this link today
http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/orig-development/rom-exodus-android-6-falcon-moto-g-2013-t3354194
and thought it would be pretty sweet if someone ported this rom to our beloved A6000 plus. I looked up the respective phone specs, and turns out Moto G and Lenovo A6000 plus have very similar specifications. I tried to port them myself, but I have no knowledge of porting MM roms
So, will someone please try to do so? It's a pretty stable ROM, I've heard.
Thank you!

Just take a moment to think about that request.
Let me say I want to see that too and I agree with your post.
BUT............
Motorola made a huge mistake by moving to mediatek in the E3.
Motorola E1 and E2 now have android 8.0 Oreo.
If I'm totally honest, I don't think E3 will see 8.0 or any "decent" ROMs.
The Moto E4 is out, development will start for that.
Mediatek won't release the updated drivers for android 7.0, so VOLTE won't get fixed.
Will Motorola release 8.0 source codes for E3? Of course not.
Unless a developer takes a great interest in the E3 you won't see anything else for it.
E3 was very difficult to get 7.0 and I honestly can't see it getting anymore.
While like you I would love to see many more ROMs and 8.0, I have to be realistic and honest to anyone reading this.
I just don't think it will happen
Perhaps a good custom marshmallow ROM..

Oh come on.
That's not going to happen either because anyone developing ROMs for E3 have only gone for nougat.
Why go backwards?
That just doesn't make sense to me at all.
We might as well say let's make a great lollipop ROM, there is no need to make a backwards step!
We all have to face up to the fact that development may be coming to an end for the E3.
And we cannot blame the ROM development teams working so hard, we can only blame Motorola/Lenovo for moving to the pathetic mediatek soc.
I would like to get a Nougat custom ROM. If anyone has it, ping me, please.

Just search moto e3 power custom ROMs on you tube, there's around 8 or 9 nougat Rom's for anyone who can be bothered to look .............
Please in future don't hijack another persons thread with an off topic question.
Your question is nothing to do with this topic.
Its very rude of you to hijack someone else's post.
Its even more annoying having to tell you not to ask off topic questions........
A few people have already said here there are several nougat ROMs around, especially on you tube.
All you have to do is go and look, not get others to do it for you!

Excuse me, but this is a discussion about continued development (android 8.0) for the moto e3.
If you want a ROM with working video, make a new post, don't post about it in this thread......
If you want a ROM with working video recording, I also suggest you go back to every moto e3 ROM thread here on xda and read the about the camera problems.
If you didn't know, as there was no official android 7.0 update from Motorola, the cameras are using a hack to work on 7.1.2 ROMs.
That means until there is some king of official fix from someone, the cameras won't work, and there's no need for you or anyone else to keep asking about it.
Go to any moto E3 forum anywhere on line and they will tell you its going to take A LONG TIME to fix this (and VOLTE) and the fix isn't going going to get the camera up to AOSP standard any time soon.
For the last 2 months I've been visiting this site every single day looking for an Oreo Rom or a stable Nougat Rom. Thanks to Samar V, I installed Lineage OS but it didn't feel right. Volte not working , Video recording etc.
I got frustrated with Linage then I downgraded again to Marshmallow using TWRP backup. I thought I should stick to basic but then I found Xposed Framework. It's freaking amazing
Just install a module called Gravity Box and N'ify or O'ify you'll get all the features. Best part is Volte works , Stock camera and Google Camera works flawlessly. You can also install Dolby Atmos
When the Google lens come out , you'll require a stock camera. Lineage's stock camera and Footej Camera isn't even 10% on par with Moto stock camera

No.
Not at the moment.
Nougat custom ROMs don't work correctly on the E3 and E3 power because they are still using a marshmallow firmware.
Mediatek also never released the updated drivers for the processor so that's why the E3 never got a stock 7.0 ROM, or 7.0 custom ROMs with working VOLTE.
Unless moto/lenovo release android 8.0 source code and mediatek update the processor drivers, there won't be any 8.0 ROMs for the E3.
I read somewhere a dev was working on 8.0 but I've heard nothing for several months and assume the project was abandoned.
I now don't even own my E3, as it was the worst moto I ever owned and 7.1.2 custom ROMs are what eventually killed it.

A link to what?
What was mentioned in the post you commented on was a return to the stock 6.0 ROM and using xposed modules to theme it to look like android Nougat.
So you asked for link to the stock 6.0 ROM saying you wanted a stable 7.0 rom !!!!
I suggest going to YouTube and searching custom ROMs for E3 there, but I warn you, not one ROM available on there is stable and every single ROM has an issue of one description or another.
I don't have my E3 anymore and I'm a little surprised you are asking for something some two months after that comment was made.........

Because the Motorola E3 was obsolete once the E4 was released, so Motorola/Lenovo saw no need to tell meditek to update the drivers to allow the E3 to have nougat.
Come on, you must release the E3 was never going to get updatef, that's not how Lenovo work, they don't care about us the users, they just get us to buy a newer slightly better device, and not update that one either
I got rid of my E3 middle of last year, and that's the last E series and last Motorola I will ever buy.
