Well, i've been using my gionee elife 7 for over a month now. N i really want to make the caller's pic to be of my screen size. (as it is on the xperia devices). As we all know, it is restricted only to that small bubblish circle.
Can anyone help me out in this?
And also i am having trouble in making my wallpaper a moving one. (i.e. in landscape mode). It sets only for the portrait mode.

Hi guys, i'm new to HTC and Windows Mobile and have been using the iPhone for the last two years. I've be a theme developer on the iphone and am now going to get stuck into theming this device. But anyway onto my problem.
The email preview on the touch flow shows black squares on some previews. Is that just a problem with my phone or is that on other people phones aswell. Is there a way to stop this from showing?

Those squares are image place holders, so you will see them unfortunatley, I too wish they didn't show up, but I don't know of a fix for this.

While I've been here for some time, this is my first Android post because I'm leaving WinMo to join the Android world. Pardon the naive question, but can you use your own wallpaper on the mytouch slide? I'm going to be getting it as my first Android OS phone. I just want to know if I can use my own pictures.
you can use any image you want, crop and resize as needed.
A landscape picture taken by the phone has the exact size/dimensions needed to fit the full wallpaper, so you can use it as a base to resize your wallpapers if needed.

I'm new to booting android os on my hd2 and see if anyone can help me out or show me to the right direction on a little problem I'm having. Sorry If I posted in the wrong forum. Is there a fix or a change of settings to correct the picture when receiving a incoming call. My pictures are coming out blurry, even though they look fine on the screen when I view them.

It happens to me to. Specifically when those pics come from the ones I assigned to the contact. If they are the default FB ones, they come right. Those you assigned, go to their personalized google contact, so, try to lok for a way to delete all previous pictures you have assigned in the past, and assign new ones. Please tell us how it goes.

We all know that it is not finished yet! If you don't know the reason for the problem don't post such comments please!
This is really annoying problem! I've tried to put a new pic to one of the contacts and even used the take photo option but still the pic is very bad! there is some kind of resolution problem here!
Thank you for the response everyone Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it's working the android roms, thank you all who contributed to the development, but I wanted to see if there was a solution someone had found and maybe they could share the wealth with all of us. to shadowhacker27, i tried changing the photos and even took photos from the camera but no luck. maybe if there was a way to resizing the picture maybe that would help.

ok i got it ..but how does this help development since your speaking for people
It's a fairly simple question. Android is nearly there, so don't criticise the questions if they haven't been asked before, just answer them or don't bother (that goes to everyone).
Just for your information RoyG, this occurs on a number of android devices I've used. So therefore it's just a Google related issue. The facebook photos display correctly because that's via the sense interface or the facebook app. So, AFAIK there is no fix as it's not HD2 related.

I'm a beginner in developping app for android, and i have the idea of making an app, for restaurants in my towns, that listing them, their price, print them on the map, etc...
And i would love to have something like the sidebar from htc (that they put in all their app) for switching between different activites like the map, or list of restaurants etc...

What would be specially usefull, is the fact that we can have a lot of icone, more that the screen let us have (It goes out of screen), the animation effect of the bubble going on the icon with a image preview is really cool also!
For now, i tried with tab.... it's pretty ugly, so i think i'm really far from it !
And i try to give a look over google, but wasn't fructuous !
So please, someone have an idea ? or a clue to begin with ?
Or can we find the code of the app since it open source ?

Dear users,
I've searched allot today, and I just can't find the right (and working) answer for me.
My problem is that when the TranslateAnimation completes (calls onAnimationEnd(...)) that the view will go to it's location, but when it is there, is flickers, making the whole animation ugly.
How do I need to fix this?
I've tried putting another animation at the back of onAnimationEnd(...), but that didn't work out.
I've tried to fix is using view.clearAnimation and setFillAfter and setFillBefore to true, didn't fix the problem...
I hope somebody has the right answer for me, because I don't want the view to flicker, since that is the part that the user IS looking at when he moves that view, so the impression needs to be perfect.
