Selling my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2012) US cellular edition - Galaxy Note 10.1 General

So, my question is
I have the US Cellular 16gb Samsung Galaxy note 10.1 that Im selling but not sure what price I should aim for.
I know I purchased it for 289.00 about a year ago. So I was thinking like 240 - 220? what do you guys think is fair?

I would suggest looking on swappa and eBay to get an idea of prices. Please don't ask in forum. We no longer have an 'in forum' sales area. I'll close this in case it turns into an I'll give you '$x' but good luck with selling your tab.
Regards
Chris

Note keeping its value and gaining value

I have been looking for a note and noticed that the prices haven't came down and have risen in some stores. Thats pretty cool and shows its a great idea.
I'm selling my and Ebay for 600
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
oh yes! I seen the cheapest one from Amazon Fulfilled was $630 last month...I got mine for $680 - $10 (credit for future purchase) on 12/30/2011.
Now the cheapest from Amazon seller is $725.
It is pretty remarkable. I got it for $649 from Amazon two weeks ago...now it's approaching $800.
Prices will tank once AT&T launches so if you are on the fence today, I'd sell while it's hot.
No mine isn't for sale
I wouldn't sell if I bought unlocked international for cheaper than $650. ATT locked down and filled with bloat will suck. I wish I hadn't dropped and cracked mine. It also shows that it is a product consumers really want.

I don't think it is too wise to be getting the ATT version which is a big downgrade with its Qualcomm S3, especially the international version is also compatible with its network.
We got them all over hong kong. I spent 550 usd for this one.

Only reason why prices are going up is because less people are importing the Note now that AT&T has announced its version. I guess from their perspective, some of these gray-market importers are worried that people might no longer purchase their stock now that it is available in the US.
Less supply = Price jump.

I don't buy it new egg can't keep them in stock. On amazon they are going up in price when everything else decreases.
i have been looking for a galaxy note for a week and it is out of stock every where i have looked.
I noticed a general drop in supply and increase in demand for all devices, probably seasonal.
People want Samsung smartphones and there were supply problems. At some point, of 250 suppliers only 20 had the product in stock.
Also the S II increased in price and was/is available here in Europe for 450 euros, just 50 euros less then the Note. Supply dropped so much that even used S II could get more then 400 euros. The Note is at 500/550 euros here. Was sold out on Amazon (not amazon marketplace). At that moment the price of a used Note and a new Note were the same on Amazon Germany (marketplace).
But the Note is not the S II. The Note is a niche product and nobody knows how big this niche will be in the future.
On Ebay the best worldwide price for a new Note is 519 euros + shipping.
About the Note i717 version, it is not the same phone. The i717 version has lte but no exynos. It is has value in the US, but outside the US, in many countries it is not LTE compatible.
So outside the US, with the i717 version you do not get exynos and also do not have the benefit of LTE. And the i717 has this typically american modification of the 4 touch keys.

In the States everything but the note has dropped. The Galaxy nexus is down and available everywhere and so is the s2.
When the US major carriers get their version specific hand sets you would see a sharp drop in prices, increase number of users/modders and even other unwelcome posts in the forums. Till then enjoy

In the US the market for Note international is a small, unofficial, importers market.
Officially, the Note International does not exist on the normal US market. Samsung USA does not offer it or list it as an existing product.
Why should a product that does not exist on the US market fall in price?
It may even increase in price when people find out the international version is much better because it has exynos. With the price of i717 falling from everyone selling and the Note international price rising from everyone buying.

99% of the users wont care for specs, what they care is about how they get the device and how easy it will be to obtain after market support and also those phones that come free or partially paid with the contract. But lets just wait and see.

More but not by much.
The thing with the Note is that once you use it you realise how fantastic it is. This feeds through to reviews and word of mouth. Was playing with a friends Galaxy S2 today and it felt so underwhelming and small . Samsung have redefined PDAs with this device. Can't imagine going to anything smaller or slower.
I bought the white note 5 days ago and I love every second using it. Its pure magic...
White is truly beautiful on this device.

Free Galaxy Tab deal updated to cover Note 2 purchases

Samsung have updated their trade-in details to cover people who have recently bought the Galaxy Note 2!
I'm trading in my old S2 for a shiny Galaxy Tab! Saves me selling the S2 on ebay.
Details here:
http://www.expansys.com/samsung-trade-in.aspx
Other phones can be traded in too.
Pity the N7000 isn't listed as one of the trade-in models
Yeah I noticed this the morning I got mine. Although now because they except more types of phone each phone is valued. For my S2 they would give £170, £180 or £190 discount towards a Tab depending on which one. 7" would then cost £30 after the £170 reduction, I have seen the Tab 2 7" selling new on ebay for £160 and can sell the S2 for over £180 easily (£185 trade in at asda when I was checking).
It might be worth checking with your personal requirements but could be better to do it yourself.

Sorry, not officially sold in US, so you'll have to rely rely on 3rd party importers and will be more expensive unless you know someobe in Europe or Asia that can ship you one.

^This.
Negri Electronics' price is the least expensive that I've found for the 3G version from a U.S. importer...currently at $597.50. But they do have excellent customer service and are a reputable seller. I've ordered "International" items from them several times. GSM Nation and Expansys USA are good as well, but usually more expensive.
Just a heads up to those of you in the U.S. that are waiting for the Int'l 3G/Phone version...It looks as if my preordered Int'l Note 8.0 3G+WiFi (N5100) should be shipped very soon from Negri Electronics (Las Vegas) here in the U.S. FYI, Negri Electronics is showing these as "IN STOCK" at the moment. Your browser user agent must be in "Desktop View/Mode" to see the full details of stock availability. EDIT: they are now listed as "BACKORDER".
http://negrielectronics.com/samsung-n5100-galaxy-note-8-0-16gb-3g-unlocked-white.html
My credit card company sends me email alerts every time there is a transaction over $300, and they just sent me a Transaction Alert for a charge from N.E. I've had a preorder in for the Int'l Note 8.0 since April 16th, and IME Negri Electronics will only charge your credit card when they have stock in hand ready to ship, so my fingers are crossed. I'll keep you updated.
P.S. If you register an account at Negri and put the item in your shopping cart but do not follow through with the purchase (just leave it in your "shopping Cart"), in a few days Negri will email you with a $10 OFF coupon code for the item in your cart. And if you wait another few days they will send you a $20 off coupon code. It's not much, but every little bit helps as this item is so expensive already. Good luck.
I did wanted one of these for everyday devices but it's way too expensive for me. There's nothing wrong with my skyrocket I have now but I want upgrade. And my wife wants my phone so I guess I'll have to look else elsewhere.
Perhaps in a month or two the price could drop to within my reach?
One can only hope.....

Yeah, it is expensive. No doubt. But if you compare it with the price of a contract-free Unlocked Int'l Galaxy Note II GT-N7100 (which it is almost identical to hardware-wise except for the display, rear camera+LED Flash, and FM Tuner) it is a very similar price, at least here in the U.S.
I paid 608.00 on Ebay from a US seller with 1000+ feedback.
Picked up GeekSquad Spill and Drop insurance for another 50-something bucks.

I don't know how well it's going to receive around the world. This device isn't most powerful or innovative phablet that has yet to come out from Samsung but it is rumored to be more expensive then Apple mini. I don't care if it doesn't have Octa core or 3gb of ram but I am still over the fence about Samsung thinks because it has a S pen it can crush Apple and it's iSheeps without being most powerful and priced lower then mini. Don't get me wrong I love Samsung and I stand by I will only buy Samsung phones since I went thought several HTC(UGH) and Motorola(UGH) and Apple(double UGH) but I think Samsung is being just too ambitious this time. We will see how everything goes with in few months. If this succeed and still priced high, I will go to cheaper option and buy P3100 and wait for something reasonable from Samsung.

Performance-wise, there is not a single problem with the Galaxy Note 8.0, unless you want it solely for playing the most demanding games, which the iPad Mini isn't ideal for either, so? And in some markets such as India, the 3G+WiFi Note 8.0 is only $20 USD more than the iPad Mini 3G+WiFi. For that $20 you get the S-Pen/Wacom Digitizer, PHONE & TEXT capability, and the TV/DVR/STEREO Remote Control IR Blaster! I'd say that is pretty compelling.
My other thoughts regarding the competition?...If Samsung would have made the BUILD QUALITY of the Note 8.0 similar to the HTC ONE or iPad Mini, then I think they would have a chance at being a true competitor in the general public's eyes.
And why not put the "old" 8MP Camera from the S3 in it to sweeten the deal? And please don't tell me that a good camera is useless in a tablet. When you need it, you need it! I can't tell you how many soccer moms and dads I've seen using their iPads to capture photos and videos of their kids between browsing the web or "Facebook'ing" during the game. Or taking photos of products, clothes, or comparison shopping by scanning barcodes and QR codes...or "scanning" business or personal receipts into financial apps.
I also think that they should really advertise and push the IR Blaster/Remote Control feature of this device! Just about everyone that can afford a tablet has an HDTV and cable/satellite service. Having the IR Blaster/WatchOn/Peel functionality, combined with the S-Pen features, true Multi-Window multitasking, and cellular Phone/Texting capability make this tablet/phablet truly unique in the marketplace.
BUT, they need interactive or video displays in the stores like Best Buy that demonstrate these unique features with a "Try that with an iPad...they can't do it" type of message. Everybody already knows what an iPad can do. But when comparing tablets in hand, customers just see a screen with a bunch of icons, they don't know the awesome things that ONLY the Note 8.0 can do!
They also need to advertise as above (like in the new S4 "swimming pool" commercial) how older folks and children can use this device, in addition to the unique advantages it gives a business person. And they need to give developers much more incentive to create unique and top notch tablet-specific apps, with and without S-pen functionality. And they also need to stop trying to copy or duplicate the Google apps that are already available and better! They need to realize that their tablets are nothing without the Google ecosystem.
/END OF ANOTHER RANT, LOL! Sorry.

You have the option of third party suppliers. The other option is to wait a little longer. The LTE version is close to being released. There is a video on You Tube showing it but it's in Chinese and I can't understand it. I will say it looks good though. I'm waiting to see what frequencies the 4G version will come with as well.
I'm pretty sure the only LTE version announced is one that does not use US LTE bands and still would only give HSPA speeds to most people.
^You are most likely correct. I would be surprised if this model had LTE bands that are usable in the U.S. Perhaps if the proper antennas and radio amps are already in the hardware, a crafty developer could port the radio software from the AT&T Galaxy Note II?
UPDATE on my purchase from Negri Electronics:
I received an email from Negri Electronics today with a FedEx Tracking Number for the Galaxy Note 8.0 3G+WiFi (GT-N5100).
However, it is being shipped directly from Hong Kong and not from the N.E. location in Las Vegas, so it will take a few more days to get here than I originally expected (Los Angeles area).
Other devices that I have purchased from them have shipped from the L.V. location so I didn't expect this when I placed my preorder. If I had known ahead of time, I might have ordered one from eBay seller 'never-msrp' in Houston, TX.
Either way I'm looking forward to getting it. I just wanted to let anyone else who has preordered from Negri, or is thinking about it, know what's up.

I've been searching like crazy trying to see if anyone's been able to do this with the Note 8 or 10.1, but I can't seem to find anyone that's been able to do it. I know there's a way to enable T-Mobile's AWS bands for a rooted AT&T N2, but as far as enabling any LTE or AWS bands on a N8 or N10.1 (non-Verizon), I haven't had any luck. I'm not sure they're even the same radios

UK note 8 is been discounted.... Imminent new version?

As title... I see that a couple of UK retailers have got the Note 8 at £199...down some £100...
Is this an indication of a new version on the same lines as the 10.1 2014 edition?
Sent from my Galaxy Note 3
Hopefully, however quite a few retailers have put the price back up i, e John Lewis, and its only available from Amazon UK from 3rd party sellers.
Lets hope the 2014 Note 8 comes with some stellar specs.
I will be keeping an eye on CES for possible announcements

[Q] buying used note 3 with swappa.com

Hello
There is a listing for unlocked/rooted galaxy note 3 phone on swappa.com, and I am very much enticed. I wanted to know if it is OK to buy from swappa.com, and if anyone here has experience with that. Also if the listing mentioned is good enough.
thanks
Swappa is great and the seller has sold nine phones there, so I think you're safe there. I have sold one there myself and it was a very smooth transaction.
The price might be a little high though. I paid $500 for a brand new in a sealed box Sprint Note 3 on Craigslist a few months ago.
