Can we get official KitKat on our device - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General

As many devices getting official updates including 2012 galaxy note 10.1 I'm wondering will we get any update or will someone port it for our note

As official samsung statement and many others already answered, Note 1 WILL NOT have official KK Updates. This question has been asked and answered lots of times already. Please search before posting. Thanks

Can anyone tell me when it will be available?

Tomorrow.

Lol, No dev has the time to build a CrapWiz ROM for Galaxy Note, you can look for AOSP ROMS which are great in my opinion, if you want touchwiz launcher on them, then you can have that also!, it's in themes section!

How about N-E-V-E-R (official version anyways)!

It could be possible if some devs make it. Have a look there, it's a port of KK touchwiz for the Galaxy S3 International from Galaxy Note 2 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...4-2-archiport-temporary-experimental-t2748579 :victory:

Yes now s3 have unofficial 4.4 by developer its very amazing plz try to port for our note thanx in advance

Better option is to root and go for AOSP based custom KitKat ROM. Anytime better than TouchWiz !!!

This is my first time with a new Android release that will be valid for my device.... Is it usually so hard to get a first working rom? I mean, when ics sources came out, how long did it take for the first rom to appear?
Thanks!

I saw that, hanging out to get home so I can extract the apps and see what works straight out of the dump, like touchwiz
PS- the thread in the S4 area has the deodexed version of the dump.
Yesterday's leak is now old, because a new one's out. I've deodexed it and uploaded it to Mega: https://mega.co.nz/#!AkcggTwQ!IYWBuD_BdceuwGbykw_Z6BKYkZth7uAokYn4e6XHejM

Also, yeah. If I can start getting more donations coming in, I could buy my own dedicated servers. That opens up a huge window to opportunity. I just cant afford to do it all myself :/

DSIXDA Android Kitchen Support? Aroma support?

As of yesterday i have officially gotten the Galaxy Note 3 in my hands! With that being said i am now going to start development and try and get an awesome ROM out to you guys! Before i start i must know if DSIXda's android kitchen works with this device. And also if Aroma Installer is supported with this device. Really looking forward to start development and get a few Roms out there for you guys but i gotta know this first. Also feel free to let me know what you would like to see in a ROM, especially what kind of theme. My ROMs do have a history of having some kick a** sound mods in them so do expect that!

If you have the device why do you need to know if the kitchen works?
Why wouldnt you just build and test?
Same with Aroma.
Why not just try it?

Well whenever you spend a good bit of $$ on a device and you just "play" around with it.. its not worth just trying without having knowledge because i dont want to lose an expensive device lol.

well, your reasoning might be good. Is it the Samsung crapware on the bootloader? I am not being funny, it's just that your answer was very brief and I couldn't see whether you had done any dev work on your member profile. If you have a particular and valid reason I would be interested because I am just learning and atm trying to figure out how to complile a cm11 for n3 9005 model.

I'm a note 2 device maintainer for aokp but that's irrelevant. Locked bootloader + no way to flash kernels + no loki/kexec type option = no aosp roms of any kind. Don't waste your time.
