[GUIDE, Falcon] How to install Windows CE 5.0 on Motorola Moto G - Moto G General

Hi Guys, i'm a new user here (i'm italian so sorry for my bad english) and i want to share you how to install Windows CE 5.0 on Motorola Moto G. :silly:
Wikipedia:
Windows CE 5.0 was first released on July 09, 2004. Like its predecessors, Windows CE 5.0 is marketed towards the embedded device market and independent device vendors. Windows CE 5.0 is billed as a low-cost, compact, fast-to-market, real-time operating system available for x86, ARM, MIPS, and SuperH microprocessor-based systems. Windows CE 5.0 builds on previous Windows CE releases in its adoption of shared source. Since 2001, Microsoft has been steadily expanding the available Windows CE source tree with embedded system developers. Windows CE 5.0 is the most open Microsoft Operating System to date, though not all of the system is available under shared source agreements. Developers have the freedom to modify down to the kernel level, without the need to share their changes with Microsoft or competitors.
Windows CE 5.x is the base OS for Windows Mobile 6.0, 6.1 and 6.5. On the x86 platform, Windows CE 5.0 competes against Microsoft's other embedded Operating Systems, Windows XP Embedded and its predecessor Windows NT Embedded.

ARM disassembler???

Hello,
anybody knows a good ARM disassembler. It would be very nice if it can handle WCE PE files directly.
Thx.
Unk.
Get the SDK from MS and plug it in to their standard VB and C++ stuff.
You need to work on the files in your local machines( as usual with MS stuff) and then use your choise of disassembler....
8) And... Do not install the SDK for Pocket .NET! 'cause it corrupts and confuses your machines and PPC...
i allways use IDA of datarescue.com
ChARMeD Disassembler
ChARMeD is a freeware Windows Mobile, Pocket PC and Windows CE executable disassembler and assembler for CPUs using the ARM instruction set. There is a Windows desktop version and a Windows Mobile/Pocket PC version.
Desktop Download Page:
http://carolos.za.net/software.html
Pocket PC Download Page:
http://blog.carolos.za.net/2007/02/charmed-disassembler-beta-01-for-pocket.html
I'll second IDA Pro. If you only have the assembly and you want to work out what it's doing there's nothing to touch it.

Don't compare Charmed to IDA, compare it to HIEW
IDA plugin for ARM11
Anyone know where to get IDA plugin for ARM11?
IDA
I'm using it both for my Hima and my Samsung D500

And even do not compare it with hiew. Charmed is still too limited to be useful.
+1 to IDA. You can find 5.0 version on warez sites.
IDA 5 its good although its expensive ^^
Charmed have a potential but as mamaich say, now its still limited ^^:
yo carolos update the charmed and the charmed ppc edition ^^;
thx for the software

Utilisation FASMARML (FASMARM 1.67.22 + listing) alone :
FASMARML name.asm [-f bin] [-o] name.bin [-l] name.lst ( [..] for compatibility BDASM).
Format Listing (Compatible BDASM) :
7 octetss for number line (1 to 999999) w SP/9 octets for offset adress w SP/24 octets for code/rest for source.
is there any "online" dis/assembler for ARM like Hiew?
I mean, i want to see disassembled part of program and able to enter assembler instruction to patch. Currently, i have to construct hex code of required instruction and then enter it in hex editor (hiew) which is pain in the ass.
excuse me for my bad english !!!
Yes,BDASM is disassembler for ARM and X86 with trace and external assembler.
But the patcher (assembler line) incorpored is uniquement for X86 with external assembler NASM .
My program FASMARML(based on sources FASMARM) is an assembler ARM modified for compatibility with NASM and replaced NASM .
FASMARML is programmed in assembler with FASM (x86),i can provide my sources for adaptation.
it is better than Hex Workshop and ARM instruction set encoding table :
It is companion for IDA PRO

So now it will be possible
If Windows Phone 8 is an improvment over WP7 just like Windows 7 was with Vista
Then I'd say yes!!!
Eg: Window 7 runs good on my netbook where's Vista hogs like crap!
I'm not talking about Windows Phone, but actual Windows.
hmm, yes - hoping to have a dual core tegra 2 by then which should zip along quite nicely running windows.
By the time Windows 8 rolls out, we will probably be up to quad-core Cortex-A15 processors. Which sound much better suited for running Windows 8.
Will be nice to see a Windows 8 Build on the HD2... but the leaked Win8 versions are not the ARM version yet!

I just got a hold of BETAs of windows 8 if anybody (DEVS) needs it i can send the links,, PM me

APK Installer and Screenshots
Hi,
I am Android Enthusiast and loves to try new apps everyday...! :fingers-crossed:
When I started using APK files then there were many questions in my mind, such as:
Q) What is APK?
Q) What is need for Apk Installer?
and
Q) What can I achieve using APK?
Then,
I got answers of these question and shouted loud out..:victory::victory::victory: and seriously :victory:
First, APK stands for (Android Application Package), that is technically Package File Format.
Second, It is used for transferring of files from Android to other operating systems.
Third, APK files mainly use Zip format packages using JAR File Formats.
It is the uniqueness of APK Files that these files can be installed on Android devices as well as on PC as for File-Transfer between Windows-&-Android.
After study and hard work of many days, I found this place quite suitable where you can find
any kind of Android Apk app and many App Installers for PC.

Me like it! Well...at least it didn't crash my pc (yet) Also, it doesn't have that many bells and whistles...until I connected 3 devices simultaneously (a Samsung GalaxY duos, a Pandigital Planet (recently hacked) and a no-name Chinese tablet (recently unlocked). See attached pics. What can I say it woiks!
Hmmmm...well, I do have a question though...when I connected my iView 792 TPC....my Device Manager identified it as a "Samsung", the USB thingie icon as an MT65xx android phone (dunno what that is...but the tablet is actually a phone also), while your ADB program identified it as an HTC-manufactured device?
So if I were to root this tablet/phone and look for firmware or something (im a noob)....which one do I "believe"?
I saw it just few minutes ago , we needed long time ago .. Have to try
Hey. Firstly, very nice work. It detected my Desire as "Android Phone" Okay, showed me that I have incorrect drivers, but when I clicked install the error came up with "not compatible with w8 ". Isnt there really a driver for HTC Desire on W8 ?

Microsoft promised to support ARM devices for Windows 10, but as of now, support isn't there yet.
Also, Devices that will support Windows 10 must have their bootloader written to support Windows 10.

I doubt that is going to be happening. They said that there will be no Windows 10 upgrade for Surface Windows RT users - so if they wont even support their own products, then there is no chance they will support other ARM based devices. If you bought a Surface RT, you're stuck with that OS unfortunately.

As far as official statements go, Microsoft never reported to kill support for the Windows RT line... They however stated that they are working on an update to the Surface which will have some of the features that Windows 10 has and will have.
I don't think they will ever kill the support for the RT line.. If they do, the that is just pure BAD Marketting. They will however do something that will make the new RT line OS still exist but in the Different name that doesn't outcast it from the rest of the Windows 10 line.
Maybe they would develop a Windows 10 variant that would be usable on the surface and the Windows phones.. And still call it Windows 10 <variant/edition>. It's good Marketting.
I cannot, however prove anything yet seeing as the Windows 10 for Phone technical preview hasn't come out yet.
Thanks for the responses,
Did you hear about ChangeMySoftware which is allowing users to convert their any android to Windows 8 ?
I got the feedback from them that said they will be adding win10 soon .
My question is it gonna be worthy if so what are the differences between real Win 10 and other Win10 (ChangeMySoftware)
Thanks again !

Wow, that is nice. I think in your blog you are right, it is still somewhat half baked.
Why would the mod remove the link? That is so weird...Windows 10 is preview... There is no pirating involved... it is free to download.
Just reverted back to Win 8.1

Someone removed install guide link,, still you can find it in video description.
If it uses Intel Atom CPU, there shouldn't be any problems.
Though keep in mind, that you may need Windows drivers for wifi ar other chips.

Please let us know how you did that. What image did you use and how did you extract the key and use it for the new install? I suppose its good to have a recovery partition but since these tablets don't have them, reinstallation is a hassle.
I haven't made Win 8.1 key backup, because officially you can't get or install Windows with bing anyway. I was planning to use recovery partition.
Though as I have found out later there are leaked Windows with Bing builds on torrents. It will install and activate automatically on all devices, that originally came with Win 8.1 with Bing, you don't even need to enter a key. I checked SHA1 match on MSDN, though I can't provide exact link to image here.

I've read about driver incompatibilities when fresh installing Windows 8 on this tablet. Are you having any issues?

No, everything works fine, even better after fresh install.
I'm using Windows 8.1 with Bing x86. and Onda V975W drivers pack. You can find all info and links in my Win 10 thread.
Is there any bugs on onda tablet?
Only Win 10 bugs like on all PCs.. There are no Metro IE, some Metro apps runs really slow or lag.
Slow & 128Gb MicroSDcard isn't recognised
I've just installed Windows 10 B10074 on my Onda, but it's terribly slow. Also the 128Gb SDcard isn't recognised. Too bad, I've expected the SDcard to work properly. Anyone else with the same issue?
Edit: I've just noticed that the battery indicator isn't working as well.
