Wait till two to three charge cycles are complete. The battery life normally increases.

How much time it is taking to fully charge

Almost all on WiFi -- browsing, installing and setting up a bunch of apps, listening to music/podcasts for roughly an hour or so, texting, phone talk time around 20-30mins...things of that sort.

Definitely! I was impressed myself, especially since I came from an iPhone that had a depressing 1400mAh battery. In the time it took for one full discharge on my S5, I would have needed to do 1.5-2 charges on my iPhone

Getting outstanding battery life on my g900a. Once someone figures out root for it and i get greenify working properly it should be even better.

Siting at 8H 25M 11S on Battery. AT&T S5. The thing that is killing my battery the most, Gear Fit Manager at a19% then Android at 16% and Screen at 14%. I have only charged 2 times so far since I bought the phone on Sunday, Ran it down to 9-10% yesterday but it took forever to charge. In over two hours of charge time it went from 10% to 37%. My iPhone 5 would have been 100% or close to it. Never had android phone before (really enjoying it) so not sure if this is normal or it will get faster the more charging cycles.
Thanks

Battery lies.

OK so I have had this phone two days now and noticed an oddity. I had about 43% battle according to the phone. I rebooted and then jumped down to 20% or so. Anyone else see this.

I think all Android users faced some issues with battery status..
Ex. When the phone charged 80% if restart it the battery might decrease by 5% each time... while when it's less than 10% each time the battery decrease from 1-2% max ! ... that's really not reasonable
In addition, when i charge my phone 8 hour the battery would stay 17 hour.. while if i change it until it's got 100% charged "according to battery status" it wouldn't stay on more than 10 hours!!! Wipping battery and other solutions also didn't help by the way !!!!

I will try that
I had a similar problem and never solved it. My battery typically lasts 32 hours new. After a few weeks it went to 16. Frustrated I let it "die" to find that it actually continued to run for 16 additional hours literally at 0%.
Unplugging the battery fixed it for that current charge cycle but upon recharging it went back to its old ways.
I eventually went through the trouble to purchase an OEM replacement and further open up my Razr M to replace. Things were great for another couple of weeks until the same exact problem happened again.
Frustrated I go back and forth between my Inc 4g and my Razr M depending on if I need a reliable battery read (traveling, etc). I like the Razr M so much I might just buy another and hope it doesn't crap out like this one, but then again there is probably a new season of Droid devices coming in a few months.

have you tried one of those battery calibration apps? they require root though.
as for me, my battery yesterday showed 34% while in the system. but then when I booted in TWRP recovery, it said my battery was at 22%.

[Q] Charger got wet

Hello, My original LG wall adapter got wet, i wiped away all the water i could, and let it dry out for day.
After that I plugged my N4 into it, and my battery just jumped from 70% to 100% in a blink. I unplugged it imminently, and phone thought it was still charging for like 10 seconds, and then my battery percentage went back to 70%.
It's been a few days since this event. I'm worrying about whatever damage it might have caused.
Battery life isn't great. i get about 1.5 SOT when I hit 40%. standby time are as the used to be, but when using the phone the battery seems to drain more. (WIFI OFF WHEN NOT AT HOME ,ALL GOOGLE LOCATION SERVICES DISABLED, ON 3G 24/7)
Is there any real test to see if there is really any damage ?
I hope I'm just imagining. Maybe the charger didn't went bad at all? after all is it a known bug when nexus jumps to 100%.
The wet adapter charged my Other galaxy S2 just fine..
Here is some ridiculous screen.barely 10 minutes screen on an a short phone call and its already down 5%

5% down, in 1 hr and 15 minutes, with 10~ minutes of screen on time, and some phone calls is not really that bad imho.
You should probably get a new charger, seems like something is messed up within the charger, due to being exposed to water.
Is there any way to determine if the phone itself received damage ? I's there any chance at all ?
Only the plastic of the charger was exposed to water ..
anyway I'm using apple Iphone adapter since then.
I think the best way to tell if it received any damage is to just use it normally.
Charge it normally, through the iphone adapter for now, and see if the problem re-occurs.
I do notice battery drains quicker , My friend's nexus, which was from an older batch, drained 2% after 10 mins in google chrome, auto brightness.
mine drains 8% , same brightness, no application running in background. betterbatterystats shows nothing unusual.
Is this normal? Totally Moderate use.

Yes it's normal and depends on screen brightness.
and by the way the voice calls that you have made seem to take a large percentage

no, you have bad media file (music, video or picture) on your SD card.
Guys, let me ask you a question.
Which one would you chose, considering battery life? (battery, a very important thing for me).
GT-9500 or GT-9505?
That is not a question! Get the octa core! the 9500!
Ok, i am waiting for opinions.
I am more likely to buy the octa core version but, from the feedback i've read on the forum it overheats a lot, and the battery is not so great.

This is my first Droid so i dont know the implications of Hard Reseting my device. Will it remove the Bloatware from my service provider? Is there a way to retrieve the apps and settings and stuff after hard reset that after hard reseting it, it doesnt feel like i did a hard reset?
Settings --> Accounts --> Backup&Reset --> Factory reset
No, it won't remove any of the bloatware, but our forum members have said that it will help with battery life and overheating problems.
The bloatware can be removed only by rooting the phone.

Except for mediaserver your numbers are normal and you should expect screen to take that percentage or even somewhat more. In the 40 percent range is quite typical and expected. The one poster was correct, find out what is keeping mediaserver lit up.

I am not sure why you crossed out the FCC ID stuff and not the IMEI, but your battery is normal. The 1300 you see is the max power draw of the device. It is not rated in mAh as it is not a storage device.
Your battery is fine. That is the 2600mAh one that we all have as stock.
You never gave any details on what your battery life issues are, your usage patterns or any other details. But your battery and phone look normal.

Oh sorry I was in a hurry and crossed out the wrong things. Also my usage patterns are less than average and I believe there is something wake locking the device or something because the battery dies even when the screen isn't on. WiFi eating battery on Note 3

Hey everyone,
My mom just got a new Note 3 (yay!), and I have been quite busy exploring all its features. One thing that is nagging me, however is that both the stock browser and chrome are using up a great deal of battery. Wifi is eating 1% Every 1-2 minutes and while using the browsers this is amplified to a percent every 30 secs!
Please help me.

Wifi has always been a battery vampire.
Do you have brightness set to 100%?
How far are you from the router? A bad signal uses more power.
Is anything syncing in the background?

I just don't understand why they don't use stronger batteries in the first place. I wouldn't mind carry along an additional let's say 50g in exchange for a longer battery life ...

At stand by, the Note 3 hardly uses 1-2% battery every 8 hours or so, but when it comes to calling (core function of the phone!) and wifi+browsers the battery suffers greatly. I haven't tested cellular data yet because of weak signals near my house. Should I let it drop to 0% and charge to 100% or get a new battery? Really disappointed with the battery.
As a general rule you should avoid full discharge/recharge cycles (except for things such as recalibration) as this in the long run shortens the batt's lifetime even more. So it's best to recharge it more often and keep it somewhere between 10-90%.

UPDATE
New update guys:
I left my phone with WiFi on for half an hour and it ate 3% battery from 50% to 47% which includes a phone call. And this time the phone was a bit further away from the router. So, I guess it's not the WiFi that's sucking the juice but the browsers.
Any fix for this?

Fixed
Hey,
Well the issue fixed itself. I now have WiFi running with Smart Screen, Air Gestures, Sync, Screen Rotating and using the web browser to do some surfing and battery hasn't dropped a percent since the last few minutes. It got fixed right after another (it's 3rd) charge and it's working now.
Guess I just needed to charge it a few times for it to work. If anyone else is having issues and have charged it only once or twice, try charging it again. Mine was at 47% when I charged.
Requesting a mod to lock this.
